Lung King Heen - Cantonese restaurant in Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Food was really good and service was really good. This is to be expected with the price you pay. The view from the restaurant was also super spectacular.Lemon chickenHargauSui MaiFried RiceWok Fried BeefTofuWould definitely come back for the Wok fried beef alone, was the best dish belt far!
Peking duck was interesting.
Much better experience than last time I was here for the dinner. Service is always great. Abalone puff is extremely good. Other dishes are just okay.
Everything was nice except the sour mango dessert.
Great food and great service. Never let me down!
Good ambience, tastes good. Some of the dishes (fishare overpriced for what you get even if its 4 seasons
We dined here for my sisters 40th birthday, the Chinese food is easily the best Ive eaten in many, many years. The set menu contained, amongst others, Peking duck, sizzling beef, salt & pepper prawns and crispy chicken. The restaurant is clean with tasteful decor; the staff are attentive and friendly. Having grown up eating these types of meals, I found each dish impressive and delicious - I highly recommend it for a date night or family get together.
Lung King Heen , the world’s first Chinese restaurant to be awarded 3 Michelin🌟🌟🌟 ever since the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau’s launch in 2009 , is situated on the 4th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel . The restaurant is constantly top rated with Michelin stars for over twelve years now.It is a haute-cuisine , fine dining Cantonese restaurant featuring elegant and luxurious surroundings overlooking the marvelous Victoria Harbour in the day time while at night , the classy décor takes on a romantic tint from the subdued lighting and the seductive colored neons of The Pearl of The Orient . Its high flying success was a result of its fresh and innovative as well as the creative idea of the executive chef at local cuisine, combined with the excellent service and the jaw-dropping views of the beautiful Victoria Harbour. We took the Chinese Omakase By The Masterchefs dinner menu of The Wine & Dine Festival together with the six glasses wine pairing . Every course was delivered by the Executive sous chef with the highest standard and expertise not only in the sourcing of the ingredients , the individual preparation , the cooking techniques but also the plate decorations and the temperature of each dish. The Executive sous chef: Chan Yan tak was born in ( Kowloon Hong Kong , started his cooking as a necessity but soon grew to love it. Most luxury Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong.Good experience!!!
Impeccable service, and great venue. Food was alright but not the kind of 3 Michelin Stars restaurant I was expecting. The dishes mostly okay but not that innovative or impressive as I would expect.
Great food, staffs were friendly and helpful! A perfect Chinese restaurant for friends and family for any occasion!
Its Dim sum was a perfect mixture of Canton tradition and creativity. The place was sparking clean with good ambience and sea-view. All staff were friendly, attentive and professional. It was almost the best service I had ever received even though I just spent 520HKD for two!! Thanks Four Seasons. It well deserved the rating of 5-star hotel and 3-star Michelin
We have ordered 2 set lunch for 2 ppl, the food is delicious but portion is too much for girls. Reasonable pricing. Very attentive service which is more impressed than food quality. And I was very happy to offer me a window side table. 🥰🥰🥰I forgot the photos of soup and rice, both are good.
Very good Cantonese fare. Food was good and service was terrific. Very pricey but nice environment. Many options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Good for a special occasion but probably not a weekday lunch.
I went to Lung King Heen for several times last year. It used to be one of my favourite Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. However, I would took back my compliment about this restaurant and possibly never revisit it for dim sum again after this visit. Surprisingly, their dim sum was very ordinary. It was just like I was eating in a chain Chinese restaurant. I was really disappointed about their quality of food this time, as most of the dishes were really salty like salted fish. The fried rice was extremely salty and I couldnt finish it, despite drinking plenty of tea. On the other hand, the pan-fried rice roll with XO sauce was tasteless because of insufficient XO sauce added. Only the fried scallops with fresh pears, Yunnan Ham and Shrimp paste were very satisfying. Although they offered to recook these dishes for us, my mood was already destroyed by previous experience. Furthermore, the manpower cut had also severely affected their high standard of service as well, as their waiters didnt deliver excellent service as they used to be. I have three words to summarized my meal today, which is "salty and disappointing " !
Dim sum are very good , food are yummy, very good service !
Good value for a Michelin star restaurantSuperb serviceTerrific food quality
Great dim sum and even better hospitality. Will definitely come again.
Excellent Victoria Harbor view. Dimsum & food taste are ok. However, choice of dimsum is very limited
Delicious food, can feel the quality of cooking technique, unfortunately the Beijing duck is a bit overrated
A very high quality meal, although it is very expensive, but the service and the food quality is really good. Will definitely go again.
Impressive views and service, exceptional dim sum (especially the lobster shiu mai and the spring roll); their BBQ pork was less impressive than its peers but the pork belly with lily bulbs more than compensated for that.
The restaurant well deserved the Michelin three-star rating. The dishes and services were worth the high price. The Executive Lunch Set (HK$ 660 per person), offered on weekdays only, was a good value for money. However, the Set did not include "Baked Whole Abalone Puff with Diced Chicken" (HK$ 82 per piece), which was a must-eat dim sum. I recommend ordering this dim sum in addition to the Set.
Very high quality yam cha place in Hong Kong, well, it’s four season, can’t be wrong😂
For being a Michelin starred restaurant, I think the food was okay. I would agree that it is very good but it was not worth the extravagant price. We got the course meal so we got to try a bit of everything, but honestly nothing stuck out as being so amazing that I had to have it again. I think there are places that serve better dim sum for a better price. It was a good overall experience as the service was amazing, but food was only okay.
I went there for DimSum lunch. People like it, but i don’t like it. Too tasteless. There’s only 2 pages of dimsum menu, we’ve order most of them.I’ve order 2 a la carte menu. But i don’t like it anyway. But i feel that the food quality is excellent, the supreme premium ingredients, and taste healthy. But i still recommend this for people who wanna try original cantonese food. They are good on their way.The restaurant located on 4th flr of four seasons hotel. View is very clear and nice. Very convenience. Large toilet, great services.: )
One of the best chinese restaurant in HK. Dim sum are very good , food are yummy, very good service ! The place add comfortable with nice view either day or night!
The first Cantonese restaurant to have 3 Michelin stars... What more can i say, the food is super fresh, refined and paired back. Theres no secret to Uncle Taks cooking here - serve the best ingredients fresh and ensure it comes to the table hot.
Book in advance but it was possibly the best dim sum Ive ever had.
Went for lunch. Youll have to book in advance but it is definitely worth it. They also have a very delicious natural wine list. Ask Bernard for recommendations.
Fantastic Cantonese restaurant. We had a great experience there. Winnie was a fantastic and extraordinarily attentive and friendly waitress. The view is great and the atmosphere is calm and classy. There are several lunch sets available including Dim Sum. For lunch, the prices are appropriate considered the quality.
Nice food and service with good environment and night view. We even got a small gift when we left.
Well worth the 3 Star Michelin rating! Food was simply amazing and the service was excellent. They gave my wife and I a pleasant birthday surprise too with extra food. Kudos to the service staff! I loved the abalone tarts the most. Would definitely visit again when I next visit Hong Kong!
this restaurant desevred 3 stars michelin! all dishes are perfect! i love every minutes here. take the course and enjoy all the dishes, that what i can say!
Had the tea tasting lunch set. The "bad" (expectedpart is that it has the price to match its 3 Michelin stars. The dishes and the tea pairing are excellent. Along with the top notch service, it lives up to its rating. Recommended for a unique food experience and the wonderful view of Kowloons skyline.
Located within the Four Seasons in Central Hong Kong, Lung King Heen is a three-star Michelin star restaurant which serves upscale Cantonese cuisine with a fantastic view of Victoria Harbor. While the food was noticeably excellent, the service here really made our evening. All the staff were very attentive of our needs, and were very knowledgeable of the menu; suggesting items based on our taste. The menu was rather expansive. The suckling pig was meticulously prepared and some of the best in Hong Kong. The sesame lemon chicken was also very noticeable. The only disappointing dish was the fried rice with pork and goose, as it had a bit of a bland flavor and weird consistency. However, that may just be personal taste. Everything else was excellent. We spent $2,000 for two at dinner, and had ample food and cocktails.
Perfect lunch! Had a chance to meet Chef Tak! What a wonderful experience.Book! (very busy & you don’t want to miss a chance to try this beautiful Cantonese food)
Nice view, service and foood! We re wedding anniversary, so staff was event for us. (Heart desertSo, If We come back to HK we will go to this restaurant again!!!! Thanks a lot! :-)
Lung King Heen is one of the finest Chinese cuisine in Hong Kong, Four Seasons Hotel. The service is impeccable and the food divine. Whoever wishes to relish authentic Chinese food must have dinner or lunch at Lung King Heen. I have had the pleasure of dining there innumerable times, and each time I go I find the food more flavourful and service filled with more warmth. The must try dishes are chillies and garlic fried crabs, beef with black garlic, onions and chillies and steamed grouper fish; these are my favourites. The dim sum offered at lunch are delicious. The complimentary custard filled pastry and the agar agar jelly filled with goji berries is awesome. I give 5*****
The best yum cha I ever had!!! Elegant, exquisite, tasty and simply wow 💕 Service was superb but not overwhelming. My fav was the abalone and chicken tarts. Loved the wulong tea and the XO sauces too. 100% deserving the 3 Michelin 🌟🌟🌟 (visited in 9/2018)
So far five times eating here, it is still consistently great, over the years. Before checking out, it is a must to visit LKH, for a prompt but as good, Executive Lunch. The abalone tart is a must. Only issue is, a challenge to get reservation even though staying in the hotel. So plan and reserve early!
It took 3 months on the list to finally visit Lung King Heen. We had a group of 8 adults and 2 kids. Fortunate to have the VIP room. There are two couches in the room, and we had our own waitresses to serve us.The view is great. The service is very wonderful. When we need to change our babies, we were even escorted to the bathroom as that required keys.Food is amazing. For lunch, its about $650 per head. If you dont travel with kids, it will be much easier to get a table.
Well deserved three-stars Michelin!! We have ordered chef’s signature selection to share, some other starters and I have ordered fried star garoupa fillet, which was absolutely stunning!! The texture of the fish was soft and with a very delicate taste! The combination of the fresh fish and soy sauce made its taste particularly rich and different! Expensive place, but worth trying it!
Whoever awarded them the 3 stars must be shot. How is this even 3 stars quality???? It is not even comparable to a normal regular dimsum shop - just because its ina posh hotel with a great view so they deserve 3 stars I just dont get it.The dimsum menu is a short one with only around 10 items. We ordered almost everything... Now lets come to the review of each item.Siu mai - Considerably one of the better ones. Not the most flavourful Ive had but at least it was springy.Lobster & Scallop dumpling - This was served individually and its not bad. I thought I was eating prawn and only today I realised that is supposed to be a lobster! Either the menu stated the wrong thing or the lobster was just so small it deserved to be a prawn instead??? Yes the size is comparable to the prawns you have in a regular sushi shop. Lobster what??Abalone Puff - The abalone was really nicely done. Very soft and not chewy at all. The problem lies in the pastry which was way too buttery it my mouth just got swamped with so much butter it was that awful! Too thick pastry and too buttery. Totally destroyed the existence of the abalone. Forget the pastry and eat the abalone instead.Xiao Long Bao - Am I the only one who thinks Din Tai Fungs version is better?? The meat was lack of taste - it doesnt pop with the soup inside. Skin was too thick and it was just not my cup of tea.Beef Puff - I cant even do this anymore. This is such a beautiful pastry - just beautiful. When I took a bite out of it the skin was so thick, the meat portion inside was pathetic but it doesnt even matter anymore because it tastes bad to begin with. I dont know I was having beef of expired meat seriously..BBQ Pork bun - Same goes to this where the pastry was obviously too thick.Preserved egg - Dont really need effort for this do they? I enjoyed the ginger though...XO Rice roll - Badly done, very badly done. Taste was flat, the whole plate was just so bland we could not bear to eat even half of it.Spring Rolls - One of the better dishes that most of us enjoyed. The crispy layer outside, juicy sweet inside. My only concern was that it was a bit greasy because its deep-fried.To be very honest, the food we had did not even pass the average mark. Not forgetting the jasmine tea we had was so tasteless! Possibly the cheapest tea leaves I really cant taste Jasmine at all? Yes it costs more than HKD 3k for all of it which did not surpass the average mark. For the price we paid we expected them to be excellent but we left without feeling we had a 3 star meal.Nevertheless, staffs were all very professional and perhaps that was the only 3 stars experience we had. Their service is not to be faulted - its the subpar food.
Delicious food and impeccable service. We enjoyed lunch here today. All food was of the highest quality and so tender. My favourite was the pork and pine nut dim sum buns. Very good value for a 3* michelin restaurant. Staff are attentive but not intrusive. Special thanks to our waiter John!
The best cantonese dining experience youll ever have. A dim sum lunch is incredibly affordable for a restaurant with 3 stars. YOU MUST have the abalone dim sum pastry. Simply remarkable in every regard!!!
Despite high expectations, I was impressed by the lunch we had here. We largely ordered dishes we were familiar with but each was done to a standard we’d not had before. The service was good too.It is obviously expensive and there are probably much better ‘value’ places that you could visit, but for some of the best Cantonese food you can get in Hong Kong, I’d recommend making a reservation here. Ask for a table by the windows to get the views over to Kowloon.
This is a difficult restaurant to rate given there is a very big difference between the lunch and dinner menus. The lunch dim sum menu is 5 stars delicious, with some of the best dumplings Ive ever had.The dinner menu on the other hand still felt a bit unrefined, and not what I was expecting of high end Chinese food. I didnt go for the prix fixe menu, but did request some of the dishes in it a la carte (Australian Wagyu Cubes). The meat was a bit overcooked in my opinion and the sauce took away from the flavor of what a delicious beef should be. Id give the dinner menu 3 stars, given that at this level expectations are (and should bevery high. The service to me was the highlight. The staff there was absolutely outstanding, treating us like royalty with a smile from the moment we walked in to the moment we departed. The day after our dinner we came back for lunch and didnt even have to greet the hostess because she already recognized us and immediately took us to our table. Id give 6 stars if I could for the outstanding service offered.
Service was spot on, but didnt really enjoy much of the food. It was over priced and on the bland side. Its possible to find better tasting find food at cheaper restaurants in HK.
Been to a lot of restaurants, and this holds the top spot by a good margin. The atmosphere, the way the waiters helped us understand everything question we had, and the food was amazing. The pepper waygu was beyond belief. Cant get over that experience. Wish I could give it 10 stars.
