Lung Ann Refreshments 隆安茶室 - Coffee shop in Kampung Bukit Baharu, Malaysia
Authentic Kopitiam with plastic chairs and tables. The Kopi-O is jet fuel that is tempered well with the scoop full of sugar, the toast was delicious, and a soft-boiled egg topped it all off perfectly. Had a fun chat with a local artist.
The restaurant was packed as soon as it opened in the morning. The owner/matron spoke english and was very kind to help us with our order.Delicious eggs on toast and nasi goreng. What the others ate looked very inviting, too.Very inexpensive. Highly recommend.
Best half boiled eggs.. rich high nutrient eggs.Kaya and butter bread is very original. Kaya not overly sweet and they use butter instead of unhealthy margarine ( you can ask them to use butter instead of margarine)Nasi lemak in the packet is ok .. its not bad.Toilet is clean and the place is reasonably will maintained.
1 hot kopi, 1 iced coffee, 2 butter kaya toasts and 2 half boiled eggs adds up to RM16+Food and drinks are so so.Food options are pretty limited.
Love their fish hall stall. Toast and coffee is ok
Good place for nyonya kuih and a cup of coffee. Not much variety but good for simple breakfast.
Bread has a nice roasted taste (all burnt parts are scrapped off using the lids of metal tins - traditional!). Kopi-o has a rich aroma. The yolks of the eggs are almost creamy! Came on a Monday morning and there were available tables! This shop is a short 2 min walk from the entrance of jonker street!
A great place to go for great kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs and coffee. If the noodle shop is open, thats worth trying as well.
Fantastic place for a good old traditional breakfast in Malacca! Coffee was smooth and the bread was oozing with flavour from its kaya and butter. There are also other options such as soft boiled eggs, packet Nasi Lemak and another stall selling noodles.
Nice coffee and toast.
toasted bread 🍞 one of the best!lady boss shared slot of food culture (when she is not busy 😅)is a must for bf every trip!
Teh is so so only but the kopi is superb!
Nasi Lemak not really traditionally recipe
Tapowed kopi peng only but (wow!just the right blend of bittersweet and creamy!
Must eat when you are here in town centre…abit pricy compare to other kopitiam…
Old school breakfast spot.Perfect half boiled egg with awesome toast bun.Coffee was at the just nice sweetness level.Friendly elderly serving you but please considerate sometimes they were overwhelm by customer.
Over-priced.. for 2 sets of bread, 2 pairs of half boiled eggs and 2 kopi peng,. Totaled of rm18.When I questioned the lady how was it priced, she wasnt happy with it, answered in a rude manner. Although there werent any discrepancy in pricing from their menu , but I still its over priced. On menu its written bread 2.80, but that was for one tiny slice, two slices would be 5.60++I find it more expensive than Old Town, Id rather go for places like daily fix ..
Simple breakfast here.Love the bread with kaya butter, not so sweet kopi, perfect half boiled egg served here! Can order for nasi lemak also. But really hard to get parking.
OMG I spent almost an hour to find this place on google map to write this review. I and my travel mate were super happy to find out this place. It was packed with local so we were curious. The teh tarik is sooooo gooddddd. I ordered something boiled egg with butter and toast like the local. It was delicious. But what I love most was the atmosphere there. They made me feel like Im a part of Melaka not a visitor haha. THANK YOU!
Simple place for a quick cuppa of local brew. Snack on toasted kaya bread & soft boiled eggs. Classic!
classic hainanese kopitiamteh c, kaya butter toast, soft boiled eggs
Ohh.. Once walk in you could smell their toast even with masks on....Small little place for all locals and even travellers from outstation to have their breakfast here. The owners are great with customers as most of them are locals who took their breakkie here, I personally love their kopitiam kopi, such aroma which I couldnt find it in KL.My partners cham c ice OK and she found it nothing special. Once she tried mines.. Nice...Nasi lemak bungkus is just as great, rice itself smells great and the sambal chilli is nice...Serving speed consider fast, only around 6 tables, cant sit much (social distancing)...ps: This is a non paid reviews..solely what we think the owners deserves..
Decent toast roti Bakar and hannan kopi
Overall good, just that place is small and hot. Hard to get parking too.
Came at 830 on a Tuesday didn’t have to wait long. Ordered nasi lemak, 2 eggs, 2 toast and a coffee (basically everything 😅).Nasi lemak and coffee was okay, kaya on toast too sweet, and egg slight over cooked.
The coffee here is aromatic and strong. Really gives you a good perk-me-up!The Kaya and butter isnt much to rave about but the way the bread was toasted gives a good smokiness! The teochew kwayteow and fish beehoon was pretty good too! The teochew beehoon comes with bits of lard which is aromatic. The fish was fragrant
The sauce here for the eggs is light soy sauce. Don’t have soy sauce. The standout items are the coffee and the bread although I suspect that the “butter” may be the margarine kind
The coffee & toast is average. The noodle stall selling Teow Chew Mee & Fresh Fish Meat Mee Hoon boss is very rude. The noodle have pathetic few slices of fish meat only. Nothing else and is tasteless and charge ceiling price RM8. Don’t come to this noodle stall.
A traditional coffeeshop which serves the usual coffee, toast and eggs. There is another stall that sells noodles. The teochew beehoon comes in 2 sizes, RM5 and RM7. The duck meat is very salty though.
The best place to get traditional peranakan breakfast. Serves you noodle, porridge, coffee, half boiled egg, and kaya toast. However the seating was limited.Follow my IG: @mottzhy
Was informed that we need to wait for 45 mins but the food came after like 20 mins. According to the lady, bread was toasted by charcoal. It arrived cold, could be due to the cold butter. Coffee was good, eggs boiled to perfection(for my liking).30rm for 5 hot beverages, 12 pieces of bread and 8 eggs.
Best traditional breakfast in Malacca. Amazing coffee and toast and eggs done the old fashioned way. Small establishment so going early is recommended if you want a seat. Non air-conditioned so it can get hot or wet depending on the weather.
Delicious coffee .. unfortunately we missed the food but have heard good things.. we ate at the antique shop opposite! Really tasty and unusual place!
Ordered toasts, coffee and tea and eggs. As tasty as expected of traditional breakfast, gave a great start to the day. We came in just before 9am so were lucky to get seats. Probably not worth queuing too long for.
Local morning breakfast. The kaya & butter toast is great. Overall is a great dining experience. Best visit time: 8 to 10.
Eggs were overcooked but overall a pleasant breakfast.
The one auntie serving drinks likes to grossly overestimate the waiting times for the food. I was told to wait at least 30+ minutes for 4 eggs and 2 orders of toast... But everything came within just 10 minutes. Later on when it started getting busier, I overheard her telling a family that the wait would be one and a half hours (when actually it was more like half an hour).Eggs were done perfectly as was the toast. They also serve noodles here and you should definitely try the noodles with fish paste. Simple breakfast food.
I had coffee, toasted bread and half boiled eggs. Just get any seat you can, share the table, youll meet good people. The service is fast.
Dropped by about 11am when the crowd has dwindled down. Good for the late risers :anyway it’s a typical old timer cafe, uncle aunty are grumpy, seating is limited, but toast is nice, well toasted, and coffee is good. Happy to have nice simple fare, just don’t expect too much from the service here :)
Poor customer service, we just thought for a few second what to drink and the aunty seem impatient asked us to quickly order, after that I asked the aunty whether they provide steam bread but she told me only toast bread available, no steam bread. After few minutes, customer from other table ordered steam bread and they were served with steam bread, same to customer who came later on. They actually sell steam bread and I wonder why they wanted to lie to me. No more second visit. Their toast bread and coffee is expensive and so so only, better visit other cafe
A small coffee shop with about 10 tables, and I have been asked to wait for ONE (1hour for a packet of take-away hot coffee!! Outrageously Ridiculous!! Is just a working Monday and they portray it as it seems there’re a THOUSAND PEOPLE QUEUING for the coffee. (Of course i walked away without buying anything)Well, they have successfully portray themself as THE MOST RIDICULOUS COFFEE SHOP IN MELAKA! Dare not to think if you want to order for a take-away food, they may tell you to wait for three hours for it.
Came here for the satay but was answered rudely by coffee uncle No More! Found out Satay has closed and shifted away.
Excellent pineapple sauce. Large servings of pork liver. Only detractor is that the place is rather small and all your clothes will smell of barbecued meat after you leave.Edit: It appears that Lung Ann no longer serves satay.
Served good breakfast options like old school white bread with kaya. Beehoon soup. Unfortunately our favourite satay store shifted.
Love their local coffee and tradition toast bread with reasonable price. Its just located at the corner shop opposite voyage cottage lodge. The elder aunty who take order can speak fluent English.
The number of locals who drive here just for breakfast is a testament of how delicious their traditional toast and tea/coffee are. It is very busy and you can expect to wait for a seat then wait more for the servers to come round to take your order. Its almost impossible to find a parking space right outside the shop so it is recommended to park your vehicle at a carpark nearby (there are a couplethen walk.
The place was packed with locals in the morning for coffee and toast, but a kind auntie, Mimi, let us sit with her while she dried plates. She told us all about the establishment, history, her favorite things in Melaka, and more. My kopi-o was excellent as well!
Come here for the pork satay. Lovely pineapple stuffing and the pork was also nicely burnt around the fats. The curry dip also has a good bite with the spice.
Good place for breakfast, but nothing special to shout out.
Drinks and half-boiled eggs were nicely done and reasonably priced. The stall selling sliced fish noodle was slow in taking customers orders, and we had been forewarned by that conspicuous "等" (Chinese character for waitsignage displayed at the stall.
