Having this place, I dont have to go all the way to Alhambra or China Town when I crave it. Food is pretty good, I just wish that the size of dim sum like the shumay is not so big; a little smaller like normal dim sum place will be nice. Sometimes the wait can be long, sometimes you get lucky and get table fast. Parking at rear is available, you need to pay at the slot box. This place is definitely an option to go.

Its important to note that you have to scan the QR code on the table and order the food on your phone.I think its a very efficient set up since you dont have to wait for a server and can order whenever youre ready, however the table next to us didnt realize this and sat there for 15 minutes before figuring it out.

Outstanding! The food is delicious. Every bite is like a perfectly crafted experience. Everything tasted so freakin good! The service was very fast and efficient. The sesame dessert balls are out of this world! Perfectly light and crispy on the outside and sweet and chewy on the inside.

Food is not fresh at all. Siumai is delicious. Steamed chicken feet is good. Rice noodles rolls are super bad. Not fresh, it heat up to serve. I think it made yesterday because the noodles rolls skin are broken. And it tastes off.

Always a great experience eating at Lunasia Dim Sum House, we were rushing to go to The Norton Museum and ordered what we want on the app and it went through so quick! Next thing we know that the foods were already coming out to serve. Luckily we just ordered the right amount if foods because it was hot that day and didnt want to pack to go with leftovers. Parking was hard to find on the street meter but 2nd time was a charm, right in front of the restaurant!

Love this place, they serve Peking duck with almost chiffony cake-ish fluffy white bun, my fave is the crispy tofu with abalone sauce and all the dim-sum are legit, servers are awesome they gave me a birthday bun on the house. Thank you!🥰 I will come back!

I have nothing to say besides I TRULY RECOMMEND this dim sum place in Pasadena🔥🔥The portions of all dishes are great!Taste just like the local Dim Sum house in Asia country.( where I grew up )I have the best “spinach shrimp dumplings “ever today at 🥰Lunasia Dim Sum house 🥰Truly the best shrimp dumplings I’ve ever had in my life, the skin of dumplings was soft, chewy but not thick. The shrimp and meatballs inside is huge and really tasty🤤The waitress were super kind and helpful while I’m deciding what to order. They cook pretty fast, the dining area is pretty nice and clean (compared to some other Chinese restaurants)I’ll come back again soon ✨🥳

Overall: Great dimsum place with nice setting. Super filling and reasonable price. Would go again.Taste: Tasted authentic and good. Liked everything that we ordered. Note that this is not a cart dimsum place.Setting/service: nice slightly upscale setting, not fancy but nicer than the usual dimsum restaurant. Good service. Came in around 2:30 so didn’t have to wait a long time for a table.

Long line and a bit understaff( we went on a holidaybut worth the wait. We didn’t know they offer YELP checkin so if you decided to go you could join the line ahead on Yelp. They also had a kiosk at the entrance for you to pre-order for your dine-in. Food is delicious and good portion.

Everything was really very tasty. We splurged and got the truffle siu mai which were really lovely. Also got the famous shrimp hor gow, they certainly deserve their reputation--delicious! I dont remember what else we got. I think we got some soup dumplings which were delicious and turnip cakes which were also yummy drizzled with black vinegar. The service was helpful and friendly and I cant wait to go back! We easily found parking on the street and arrived around 6:15 p.m.

Almost every dish I ordered has good flavor, texture, and appearance. Even though price is a little higher, the portions are bigger than many of the placed in San Gabriel and Rowland Heights. I would come here again but not on a weekend. The wait is nuts!

The wait can be pretty long, and we found out you can get in line ahead of time through Yelp. There’s a parking lot (paid, but there was no attendant when we wentbehind the restaurant, and you can enter from there as well. When you’re seated, they give you QR codes to scan to look at the menu and order. Everyone can order from their own phone, and it will be charged to the table. The food was good, but I think it was way overpriced.

Waiting time is pretty long, both before and after being tabled. The dishes are bad and dont worth waiting. The almond milk shown in the photo is over sweet. Its nothing but almond milk plus plenty of sugar and a square bread placed on top. We wait about 15min for this simple but crazy dish. The other dim sum dishes taste bad as well. I would never come back again.

As a Cantonese, I the highest rating I can give a 2 star to this specific Lunasia Dim Sum House. The environment is OK, but it is more like a Hong Kong style cafe than a dim sum house. Service is also fine. The BIGGEST PROBLEM is the food. The flavor is way toooooooo strong. Either too sweet or too salty. 蛋挞 (Egg Custard Tartis the worst. The egg is over steamed and the coat of it is way too thick. The finish of the dim sum is bad. Look at the scallop dumplings (墨汁皮带子虾饺I showed, everything is scattered around. TBH, I’ve never seen such dumplings before. BTW, I went to the Lunasia in Alhambra quite often. The dim sum there is much much better than here. If you want to spend a nice morning with fined dim sum, go to the Lunasia in Alhambra, don’t bother this location.

Excellent food. Otherworldly dim sum. Only item I would not order would be the so called sauteed pea pods greens. It is actually just sauteed spinach. Perhaps this is an Americanization of a much beloved dish I miss.

Here goes. For starters, my wife and I were asked to show our vaccination cards at the entrance - an unpleasant surprise. Not a hint of this on the website, not a sign on the door. We had the cards with us by sheer coincidence. Not good. The food was underwhelming. The wonton soup was fine, but the eggplant was unpalatably sweet. Soup dumplings, which we normally love, arrived in individual tinfoil cases, like little muffins, and turned out to be dry, chewy and tasteless. I suspect they were defrosted out of a pack. The service also was sub-par: the waiter would place our food on the corner of the table closest to the passage and leave. So each time we had to reach across from where we sat and set it ourselves. The soup came with the spoons fully submerged inside the bowls. We literally had to fish them out and wipe them down with napkins. A Japanese couple next to us were also struggling and ended up packing their food away and leaving. So yeah, one star and no repeat visits.

Delicious dim Sum at fair prices. We always order the shrimp and pork siu mai, shrimp har gow, spinach shrimp dumplings, steamed chicken feet, shrimp rice noodle rolls and juicy pork dumplings. They have the most delicious salted egg buns and Portuguese egg tarts!

Ill make this quick and simple as we all gotta that dim sum! 🐷If going with friends or family, just carpool. Parking is difficult.Theres a parking lot at the back. Flat rate used to be $7. I think its now $5. Check still. Thats Monday - Friday. Its free on the weekend. You can track the wait-list live through Yelp.Lets talk about food.. .Im not crazy about it. 👀 Its okay.I ordered a Sprite and it was served in a cup without a lid, which I thought was fine. I didnt care. When I had a sip, it tasted like it had been sitting out there for a long time. Its flat. Its almost gross. You need proof of vaccination to eat inside.Feel free to follow if you find this helpful. 🙌Enjoy!

I’m not sure why this Lunasia location has so many positive reviews as it served the worst dimsum I’ve ever had. Every single item we got were extremely salty, and the steamed dishes like hargow, siumai, rice noodles were either extremely terribly made (soggy and stiffor they were frozen before. The shrimp from rice noodles were definitely the worst - it had a lingering bleach/detergent taste and was unpalatable. Chicken feet was watery and lacked flavour; egg yolk bun was runny and tasted artificial; jelly fish was dry like rubber and the fact it was $9.99 was simply offensive; the chicken corn soup & steamed ribs were the only things that were palatable but we still couldn’t finish them. Actually, we weren’t able to finish a single item that we ordered and the bill was $73, which is very expensive for dimsum for 2. I understand that the restaurant is not located in a Asian populated area, so maybe it cannot be held to the same standard as those in Alhambra/Monterey, but a lack of quality control in their food regardless of which population it serves is just a reflection of laziness.

We will definitely not be going back which is sad because we really wanted to love the place as we live nearby. The pork and shrimp sui mai were a bit sweet which was weird. You have to pay extra for the spicy sauces(?!). The roasted duck was moist but not memorable. The rest of the dim sums fell apart as you tried to pick them up. There is no ambience in the restaurant and the service was clinical.Instead, I recommend going to your nearest Din Tai Fung and enjoying a great meal with great service and all the chili and soy sauce you want!

My go to dimsum place although they have other offerings. My favorites are: Pork/Shrimp Shu Mai, Shrimp Hargow, Hong Kong Style Pork Belly, Sticky Rice, Roasted Duck and Duck with Buns. Downside, no free parking however, there is parking behind the restaurant for $5 or paid street parking out front if you find one.

A great gem of a dim sum place in Pasadena. We had a small family and close friends brunch here. We all enjoyed the lovely siew mai, har Kao, char siew pao, (sp.custard tarts and several other lovely dishes chased with a delicate chrysanthemum tea. The service was reasonably fast despite how busy they were. Thoroughly good food and luckily beat the crowds as when we left, the queue had built up quite substantially.

Meh. Had better with the one in Alhambra (w/free parking on-siteand its very possible this place used more MSG, because (compared to another LunasiaIm much more thirsty after dining. Nonetheless, not a bad choice for the neighborhood.Would order again: Phoenix feet, crab pan-fried bun, tunip cake (pan-fried), steamed mixed mushroom dumplings, didnt try the shrimp dumplings & shrimp rice-wrap but my friends said theyre good.Parking, the best deal is probably the $5 all day parking in the back of the restaurant. Whoever said theres a private parking in the back is probably daydreaming. The Peseo parking is only 5minutes away & could be a better deal if you can be in & out in 60 minutes. I decided not to try my luck ha-haThe postal office next door offers public parking after the postal hours.Hard to notice from the street (driving). Would plan a few nearby visit like the City Hall, shopping, etc. to get the best value out of parking & the day.

This is my go to place when I want Dim Sum in Pasadena. I have been going there during the last 3 years and the quality is very consistent. They have Dim Sum all day. Great dim sum found here!! Not only can you get most of your traditional dim sum dishes, but they also have some more modern takes on dumplings and bao. There are no carts, so you order from a check box sheet. They also provide a menu with some helpful pictures for those who arent as familiar with dim sum. Prices are a bit more expensive than other dim sum restaurants that Ive been to, but the quality is definitely there. It gets super busy on the weekends, so I recommend coming early right when they open or later in the afternoon. They dont take reservations for parties less than 8. Service was friendly and we didnt feel rushed. The decor is modern and simple. Public parking can be found close by for reasonable prices.

Best dim sum in LA, and especially delicious har gow! Upscale atmosphere so no cart ladies here, and the prices are a bit higher than other dim sum places, but it’s worth it due to the quality. Usually no wait here before noon on the weekends, unlike at the Alhambra location, where it’s almost mandatory to arrive before opening time. No prices are displayed until the bill comes, though they have the prices on their website. They charge per person for tea. Park in the back for $5.

Came her with my wife after she took her nursing exam. We ordered crispy noodles with beef, shrimp egg rolls, egg drop soup, and bbq pork dumplings. The food and service was pretty good, but the price for everything was way too much for “dim sum” and I feel like it wasn’t worth it.

What a delightful surprise! The Siu Mai were huge and tasted great! I would come back to this place. The servers are always walking up and down the restaurant, but they should be a little more attentive. We still had to wave them down to ask for things. You place your food order with a menu. No food carts. The portions are big when compared to other more authentic dim sum places. Keep that in mind when ordering your food. And the best thing: you can get dim sum all day long!!!

Delicious dim sum experience especially for first timers. The menu is descriptive with pictures for all the dishes and the food comes out extremely fast! Had the sticky rice, shumai, crispy shrimp rolls, shrimp fried rice, and turnip cake. The dish that impressed me most was the crispy shrimp rolls because they combination of crisp shell with the juicy inside of the roll was amazing! The other dishes were just as good as you get from other dim sum places. The only exception to this was the fried rice which came out salty as hell. Still loved the experience and will definitely be back
