Great place to fix your cravings for nice asian food. Delicious ramens,fabulous dumplings and potstickers, variety of stir fry ,noodles and rice. Yumminess on a plate. Wonderful weekend treat.

The food was great. The dumplings were fresh and delicious. The miso soup complimented them completely. The chicken rice was served with plenty of fresh veggies. I would recommend this restaurant absolutely.

I really loved it at the restaurant the staff were really kind, nice and funny and the food and drinks were amazing I will be dreaming about it at work for the whole week it’s was to die for.

chili oil wonton was dry, soup Noodle was ok, fried rice and flat noodle with steak was tasty, will go back again to try something else.I did go back, indeed many times almost once a week for dumplings and posticker. They were Amazing! so i changed to more stars!

Enjoyable place to eat. The pot sticker dumplings (various), Xiao long bao and the nasi goreng were all winners. Went with a small group and food came out relatively quickly. Atmosphere is buzzy, but still able to chat amongst the group and it wasnt a problem. Prices are OK. Service was fine, without being awesome. Would go back in a heart beat. 4.5⭐

Best sake on the peninsulat, in addition to the delicious dumplings and ramen! Chilli wonton and pulled pork pancakes are also my favorites. Price very reasonable and great customer service. Cant ask for more!

Disgusting experience this afternoon, second visit here, whilst seated today, poured a water from their free bottle, to which a spider was floating from the bottle into cup, having brought this to the young staffs attention no Apologese, after that filth i was hesitant to order, awaiting any staff thereafter, i had seen the young guy picking a hair from a dish returned. Walked out with my elderly father, Never going back.Very disappointing as the food on the first visit was nice! This was Disgusting! I will be calling the Food and safety department guaranteed.

Said we would never go back. But got takeaway last night. All cold as usual. Got the sizzling steak so expensive and no taste gluggy.Never again.

Looked around Main Street and kept coming back to Lunar Dumpling Bar it just looked neat, tidy and clean the staff were very easy going, I had my youngest with me and we were pressed for time. We ordered two simple dishes the special fried rice and spring rolls (quick and easythey came out in under five minutes very impressive!!! I had a tap Asahi Japanese Beer it was icy cold, fresh and quite superb. Food was very good much better than I expected which when it happens is always a great thing, makes eating very enjoyable. Highly reccomend this place it ticks all the boxes, prices I thought were also much lower than expected. Its well run and staff are warm and friendly👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We love Lunar! The food is always sensational, can get a bit busy but the staff always do their best to accommodate. A good variety of vegetarian dishes aswell which my partner is stoked about! I highly reccomend the chilli Wontons, and the coconut curry soup!

Best place in Mornington to eat! The Ramen rivals that of Japan, fresh, tasty full of veggies & meat just great bang for buck. Potstickers were divine. Service was great too.

Too salty...it was so salty we left half the meal and left. This was lunchtime on a weekday.

All items are good however most of the time, service is good but slow, bookings recommended fridays and saturdays as walk ups have been turned away due to capacity

it’s so slay, it’s cheap but the food quality is amazing, has a lot of vego options, you can tell the chefs know what they’re doing, and the atmosphere is bright and lively

Went here the other night, after being seated outside and watching the people behind us get given menus, plates and a bottle of water before us, we continued to wait for a menu. 10 minutes went by until I went in to ask for a menu and mentioned I was never given one.The gentleman who greeted us upon entry pointed to a small basket behind the door and said "the menus are here" in which I replied "how am I meant to know that"After this the service picked up and it seemed the younger members of staff were a bit more switched on when it came to having a keen eye for detail.The food was nice, a little bit expensive compared to other places of its exact sort.

Lunar Dumpling Bar in Main Street Mornington has excellent food & service. If you want quality food & service, this is the place to be. My compliments to the Chef & staff. 5 stars were given for food quality, presentation, taste & the staff excelled in the customer service. I will definately be coming back again.

the food here is absolutely amazing, i ordered a bbq pork bao and nasi goreng and it was so good, the bao was really well done and steamed to perfection, and the nasi goreng was so rich in flavour and had so many delicious vegetables 10/10 100% recommend

Wow what a great experience, the food, the selection of wine and sake, the service - all within a fantastic atmosphere that feels both modern and welcoming. The food is sensational, cannot wait to get back there, a great place in a great location, highly recommended!

Overpriced. Less quantity for the dumplingsand base price for dish is high and needed to add the options. Would have paid around 40-45 dollars somewhere else but paid 70 here. Taste average

Awesome.Potsticker King Prawn Dumplings, Classic Pork Dumplings, BBQ Pork Baos, Chilli Wontons...yum yum yum, but the Chicken Skewers with Roasted Satay Sesame Sauce was epic, couldnt get enough, all with the local Jetty Road Pale Ale. Was a great meal.

Gf dumplings - that’s a win. Never have had bad food here or bad service. Staff is really attentive. With all that said I always have to order more than anticipated just because it’s never quite filling enough. Great for share plates and multiple courses between a few friends 👍

Being a foodie originally from Beijing, I’m constantly on the hunt for good dumpling and noodle bars, especially when feeling homesick. Having lived in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne after moving to Oz 12 years ago, Lunar Dumpling Bar is hands down one of the best of the best dumpling bars. Their hand-made dumplings and noodles always tasted super fresh. The authentic flavours are uplifted by a touch of creativity. And they are constantly reinventing themselves by coming out with new dishes and drinks. To add to the experience, their shop decor is charming with a modern oriental chic. My favourite dumpling place no joke.

Im a big fan of dumplings. One of my favorite food and this are one of the best I had.Big and delicious selections of dumplings, baos, yam cha, ramen and more. So many flavors combinations I havent seen in any other dumpling restaurants. Special note to the great selection of teas they have This is the real deal!The only disappointment is I dont live closer to go more often.Also spevial note to the decoration. This is not your average Chinese restaurant. The decoration is modern and minimalistic. Great for going out with friends.

I love this dumpling restaurant. I always have the eggplant and red pepper pot sticker dumplings as well as the mushroom with tofu and steamed rice. However, one star less this time because the "trio of Mushrooms with Tofu" has been replaced with vegetables and mushrooms. My husband and I loved the Trio of Mushroom dish - it was to die for.Please bring it back - I have requetsed this many many times to no avail.Suggestion: Keep your vegetables and mushroom dish but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring back the Trio of Mushroom with Tofu soon.

Lovely little dumpling bar got my attention on a busy Saturday at Main Street, Mornington. It is quite pricey compared to what we can get in Melbourne however the amount of stuffing you get in the dumplings is equivalent.The spicy wontons could have served in a better way as the broke everytime you scoop due to stuck on the plate after steaming. Taste great tho!Will I come back again during my next visit to Mornington? Maybe.

Poor service in so many ways. It took 10 minutes to be seated, staff walking around like they have no clue. Ignored multiple times, pure rudeness! Had to ask for Cutlery twice. Specifically told them my daughter is anaphylactic to egg, they assured me the Nasi Goreng would have no egg.... it came out with egg in it. Not once were we asked if we needed another drink or if everything was OK, had to flag staff down. Had to ask for a takeaway container twice because staff "forgot". Food was ok, not great. Would not return.

I’ve eaten an embarrassing amount of dumplings in my time but these are easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Will be recommending Lunar Dumplings to all my friends and can’t wait to come back for more. Especially loved the boiled pork & prawn and the chicken & shitake, oh and the Nasi Goreng is fantastic.Great selection of local beer & wine on the menu , lovely staff and attentive service.

Delicious food, fast service, cute industrial style decor. Great range of drinks with many premium teas, iced teas, and cocktails.Lots of labelled vegan options too which was great.Will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Amazing food at this local Chinese outlet. The chilli wontons are quite spicy but enjoyed the kick. The char siew paid were also delicious with a good amount of filling. Overall a great dining experience.

We came to Lunar for dinner, 3 adults and 1 child. Was really excited and hoping for a good experience having read previous reviews. Sadly we left disappointed. We ordered quickly, 35 mins and still no drinks, had to remind a waitress our order. 50mins later, half of our table got dumplings and 1 noodle, whilst the other 2 guests had no food. Again, had to wave down a waitress having waited too long. By the time their dishes arrived we had already finished ours. It was awkward to say the least. There were several disgruntled customers hovering around checking on their orders. The dumplings were average, noodles so so, service was a complete let down. We wont be returning.

Service was amazing. Iced tea was particularly good, tried the strawberry rose ice tea which was fantastic. Dumplings good but way over priced for what youre getting. Spring rolls were best Ive ever had and Ive tried lots of Asian cuisine. Price adds up quickly when you get few dishes to try, but overall nice place for dinner

So delicious. Absolutely loved the food. Waiter was fantastic. We had a few problems with our booking which was made 2 weeks in advance but the staff worked it out. Very crowded and a little too noisy. The ceiling probably needs something to reduce the sound as it was so loud that we had to shout to hear each other.I would return for the delicious dumplings. I really loved the lamb dumplings and the eggplant and the others really loved the barramundi dumplings and chicken. BYO wine which was great.

Happened to just find the place by chance across the road to where we had parked. To keep it simple, this is some of the best dumplings weve ever had. The meat fillings were on point and tasted really fresh. Iced teas were tasty and refreshing and well. Very much eccomend.

Fantastic excellent flavour we have been waiting for a local dumpling 🥟 place to open. This is modern looking place , beer on tap , chilli 🌶 oil nice and hot and place is fresh and has a great feel. We had a real treat of boiled and fried dumpling with a hot and sour soup with dumplings 🥟 too. The Chinese beer was also very good tasted authentic and couldn’t fault anything with real fast service and fast meals. Do book if you want to get in our first try to get in was not successful as they were fully booked. :-just great.

Finally, a proper dumpling bar in Mornington.Of course, being on Main street means it had to be overly expensive. Although I get that, I still am displeased with the prices. However, the portions for both drink and food are decent and the taste is great.Marked down a star for price, having to pre-pay because using outside seating and having to ask for dipping sauce instead of it being on the table already. Very odd.But, I shall come here again some time and give it another go. Menu is quite large, after all.

真不错！the Xiaolongbao were perfect. Especially with black vinegar. The pork fried dumplings were good - very tasty. Not fried enough for my liking though. Skins were nice and thin. Good service, but I needed to chase them to order. Go. 真好吃！

Came here on a Sun afternoon. Sleek and smart fit-out does not remind you of any typical Chinese restaurant. The light blue metal wall of their open kitchen is a piece of art! The food is also a cut above others!Delicious and fresh, maybe this is what the real Chinese food should taste like🏻
