Luna Mexican Seafood Bar & Grill in Greensboro

IF I COULD GIVE THIS RESTAURANT NEGATIVE I WOULD! WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. THEY LOST MY ORDER AND WOULD NOT REPLACE IT! FOOD IS DIRTY, MEDIOCRE!!! RUDE PEOPLE!!! I WILL SURELY TELL ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY NOT TO GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! THEY DID NOT HELP ME AT ALL TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE! DIRTY FOOD , DIRTY CONTAINERS.

Great atmosphere with plenty of seating. Very clean. Customer service is a high FIVE with very kind and attentive staff. Nice menu with lots of seafood choices. My shrimp came out just a bit over fried but still had a very good flavor. That is my only complaint. Nice portions and a great Paloma to drink on the side...a bit pricey but isnt everything these days?? Worth going!! And it looks like they have a live mariachi band throughout the month. Great, overall!

Newly opened restaurant with tons of room and a nice bar. I ordered pollo a la diabla and it is spicy, the kind that builds up. Also plated was Spanish rice, steamed veggies, shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato. I chose flour tortillas instead of corn. The complimentary chips were not outstanding but the salsa was. It was more like pico de gallo and very good. They have a variety of seafood dishes and other entrees. My tab was $23 including the tip.

Absolutely horrible this time we went. Food was bad quality., Bad tasting. The place we were seated was under one of the AC vents and it was leaking, so it kept dripping on my husband. Trying to get out and pay took us about 20 minutes or so..it was so aggravating.

We had high hopes but sorry to say the food and drinks were horrible. Clearly this is a popular family restaurant. We went for the mexican food and ordered two “special dinners”. Everything was bland. My taco fell apart when picked it up as the crispy shell was all wet. The rice and beans were tasteless. The ground beef was blah. My wife could not drink her margarita it was improperly mixed. The place is dirty and sticky. Obviously Luna has seen better days. Will never return. There are many other better choices in the area.

Our favorite Hispanic food in Greensboro. This is the only place we go for fajitas, the quesadilla fajita texano is amazing.

My mom and I have never had a problem with this restaurant, but today, when she went to eat my mom, was charged by a waitress namedReyna. Reyna automatically added her own tip in without my moms consent and approval. Then when my mom realized it she asked for a manager and she hid in the back while the other waitresses sat at the bar laughing at the situation.The worst part is that this isnt the first time the restaurant has had this happen its happened too one of my other family members. My mom did leave a tip on the table, when she asked to have the tip back that Reyna gave herself the manager didnt want to give it back and the sad part is that my mom payed in cash and the manger refused to give her the tip back from the receipt. Update : I did end up finding Reyna Leni on Facebook, it’s a small world, her reasoning of doing that was cause she has a kid but that’s not an excuse. She needs to learn that she doesn’t know what that person dining is going through and simply stealing is wrong. My mom has me and two other kids and she a single mama and not once has done something this low. What’s sad is that someone who used to work there told me that most of the waitresses get away with things and that’s why she left. The manager on this shift wasn’t any help.

I probably order from this place several times a month via DoorDash. Here lately the service has been lacking. This last time I ordered the Buritto & Taco entree. I paid extra for the burrito fajita mexicano & 3 soft shell steak tacos. Imagine my surprise cutting into the burrito to find beef and getting only 1 hard shell taco. This will be me last time ordering from here because its just unacceptable to continuously have food quality issues and missing items. Not to mention they kept the DoorDash driver waiting 20+ minutes past my scheduled delivery time because the order wasnt ready. That makes it even worse because it was late and wrong.

Very disappointed! The owner offered to bring my business partner a plate specially made just for him! It was a fish rice & beans plate, when he brought the bill he charged $50 just for that plate !!! That’s outrage’s!!! I felt like he took advantage! I don’t even pay $50 for a lobster plate! I ordered a fresh guacamole and it was old! I told the waiter and she took it back. I didn’t want to try another. The floors were so grease I slipped walking from the table to the restroom. Health dept needs to do a surprise inspection of that place!

I am so glad we went here! I was craving a good piña colada and they delivered!!! It was perfect. The food was amazing and we had wonderful customer service.The shrimp and rice was mind blowing. It was crazy good!

The food was wonderful and so was the service! I will definitely visit here again, SOON I hope!!

This is a great mexican seafood restaurant and looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu.

Food Its ok, drinks so so ... but need to keep up with cleanliness on everything, we sat on a booth and a couple of flies were bothering us and the blinds had years of dust.

I went a picked my order up before I even got there sed the order was complete, well it was cold , just like if they took it out the refrigerator. Ill try it again one day just to give it a other chance but my first time tasting this food was terrible.

I knew before we even had the appetizer on the table that we were going to be coming back with other friends. Cant wait to do one of their seafood extravaganzas.

The seafood was not good at all! Heard this place was good so we went! I ordered ceviche like I do most places and it was warm and watery! Ewwwwww! The crab dip was queso and huge chunks of fake crab that was terrible! My husband said his shrimp was Terribly over cooked. The staff was friendly and that’s why it’s getting two stars instead of one. Our waiter was very kind and checked on us often. We came at 4:30 and left at 6 it was strange but not one other new person came the whole time we were there.........

Dont know who was in the kitchen today...but they Dont need to work on Sundays..ordered Pollo Popeye and it came out sizzling and stuck to the skillet...my steak taco came out overdone and dry...no lettuce, no cheese..my friend got the fajita burrito and it was dry, no melted cheese sauce..the worst that ive had from this place...now i see why they were empty

Had the steak and shrimp with guacamole and Pico de Gallo salad. The steak was rubbery and unseasoned, the refried beans were watery, and the chips tasted stale. Super bland for the price. Wouldnt recommend.

Friendly staff and quick service. Food was amazing, much better than some of the other places around. This is our new favorite for Mexican food.

Great food, good value, and the service is consistently well above average. (How many places can you say that about in 2021?I love the ceviche. Chips and salsa are tasty and never disappoint. Among the best and most authentic Mexican food in the area, in my opinion.

Our waiter was so friendly remembered everyones order without a pen or paper, the esthetic inside is spectacular beautiful wood carved tables floral and moons are my favorite combination personally I ordered the C from their vegetables portion of the menu and was not disappointed!The portion size was just right aswell as the price very reasonable the kitchen staff should be applauded for how great everything tasted aswell!Thank you Im visiting for a concert from NY and Im happy to have had the pleasure of dining there!

Today is 8/31/2021Went to Luna for lunch. No signs requiring masks.None of the employees are masked.When waitress was asked if she was aware of the Mask mandate, she said she was.You may want to avoid this restaurant until the County lifts the mask requirement.Stay safe.

Luna Mexican Restaurant has wonderful Mexican food. My family and I have been three times and enjoyed our meal each time. The service and prices are good also. We highly recommend Luna Mexican Seafood Bar and Grill!!

My waiter was very polite, pleasant, and helped me with my order. Excellent service Mario !My Brocheta ( grilled shrimp, chicken, with every summer vegetable on a skewerwas a first for me . It was cooked to perfection in a sweet bbque sauce by the chief Ossiel. This is a must have dish!

Service is always great and the food was exceptional this weekend! We were able to get outside seating and had very frequent check-ins from wait staff. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful with food suggestions, and their drink service is always quick!

Very authentic food and a unique atmosphere! A mariachi band was performing requested songs all throughout the restaurant the entire time we were there. I worried about ordering seafood so far inland, but I was delighted with the food! The imitation crab and scallops were as you might expect.. frozen and not the best, BUT the fish and shrimp were to die for! I dont think Ive ever had fish that was that good ❤️

Updating my review. 2nd time here. The 1st time was really good. This time everyone and everything was lacking. The service was good but slow. But the food was just meh. My shrimp talla appetizer was good but my molcajete ranchera was dry no sauce. Beans and rice was just gross. So who knows

Horrible first time experience.. when we first went in we sit down in the booth we ordered drinks he brings the drinks out my husband drink was really good my drink was good at first and then it just got really salty it tastes like he put salt in the drink and on the rim then hes doing a lot of talking over you without a mask on thats the second big problem third issue was he brings the food out he brings my husbands played out his full dinner then he brings my appetizer shrimp out then because I wanted my food well done he then brings my plate 3 minutes later which he could have just bought them both at the same time then to top it off were sitting there flies or surrounding us basically eating our food for us flying all over our drinks all over our food it flew in my husbands steak it basically felt like we were eating flies we moved ourselves when it was time to leave we just wanted to walk out they still charged us $35.99 after saying the bill was going to be $60 this was not a good experience for this place the waiter however he was nice but talking over your food before delivering it to the table with two people that do not have mask on over your food you know this was just very unhealthy today very bad unhealthy today very bad service

Dinner for four, our food was very good. Service ,while not bad, could be better. Perhaps the wait staff are new and learning. I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

Terrible terrible service from host. We arrived at 3 for a table of 22 people. They were ok with the amount so we stayed. We waited till 6 to be seated. Several booths were available when 5 other guests of ours arrived from our 22 and they made them wait over an hr on top of that sent them to the patio. If you cant handle a large crowd let the customer know so they can decide whether they stay or not. Sayulita is more expensive, but atleast they accommodate their customers. First time visiting and wont be back. Wonderful waitress seemed very nice and tried everything she could to help us out. Unfortunately, our experience was horrendous and disappointing. Food overall was blah!!

I wanted to have a good Mexican experience for Cinco de Mayo. But I couldnt say that I enjoyed this place. Food was cooked probably the day before. My beer was warm, yes you got that right, it was warm. There were many flies inside the restaurant, I had to prepare my fajitas with one hand and scares the flies with the other. To top it off, I asked for dessert, they said "tres leches" was good, it was not even a tres leches, it was a simple dried, squared cake with some white cream on top. Very, very disappointed. They dont have too much competition here, I can foresee that if a good Mexican cook comes to town and build a good place it will take all the business easily. The only bright point was the mariachi. They are amazing and made me feel that my night was not lost. I love Mexican people, I love their food, their culture, their music. I want this place to succeed but you guys have a lot to improve. Hope you dont hate me for posting this,

Amazing food and service! My first visit was for lunch and I was thoroughly impressed the flavors and freshness of the food were top notch and the service was impeccable I will definitely be back to visit again I am so happy I chose to come here.Update ask for Sergio he’s amazing!!!!!

Sergio is the best!!! If you’re near the area you NEED to come here and ask for him. He gives you really amazing service and makes sure you are taken well care of. The food and atmosphere here is great. This is the best number 1 best Mexican restaurant in the triad.

My husband and 10 mo. old went here for the first time today. Sergio was our waiter (do yourself a favor and request him EVERY time). He was phenomenal!!! The service set the tone early! Drinks were strong and were delivered QUICK!! The food came out hot! And it was sooo good!! Good size portions as well! Everyone here works so hard! We will definitely be returning!! And asking for Sergio!

Our waiter SERGIO was amazing, he was very attentive of all 6 of us and did not disappoint one bit!! Definitely recommend eating here!! The drinks were great!! He also served us with a big smile and never complained!!

Every time I come here the food is great and the service is too! I definitely recommend esp for the seafood!!

My family and I ate here last night for the 1st time and it was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Our waitress was super friendly, accurate and professional. We will definitely be back, and we are definitely spreading the word.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant, absolutely amazing food! The Pollo Loco con Camarones (at least the way its made at Lunais my new favorite Mexican dish - cannot recommend this recipe highly enough. Lunch prices are beyond reasonable and the portions are enormous. Overall fantastic experience as a whole. Will definitely be eating here again - and OFTEN! Very highly recommended!!

Customer service was amazing, food was great. The experience was flawless. Our server was very polite and made sure that everything was ok, amazing experience here, like I said but cant stress enough the service is great. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience there one to remember.

Took my mother here for her birthday and it was ok. The service was great, live music and great atmosphere; the food however wasn’t all that great. The guacamole looks old or probably packaged and my beans tasted old. I wouldn’t really recommend unlesss you’re going strictly for the seafood platters.

Best Mexican Seafood Restaurant in Greensboro, hands down! Very friendly staff, servers are excellent, they know their menu and are very helpful, food is really good (seafood Mexican style), fair prices and the aguas frescas (fruit drinksare very good!Highly recommended!

Ive always been told if you see alot of Hispanic customers at a Mexican restaurant, they must have good food and there were tons of them. I think we were the only American people in there. I ordered the seafood ACP and was brought the ACC which is only a chicken entree. I was supposed to have scallops, calamari and shrimp on my entree. When they came back with the seafood ACP, there was shrimp artificial crab meat and the smallest scallops on the planet, 4 to be exact. I was expecting a medium sized scallop at least. 3 waitresses came to the table and showed me that there was scallops on my plate and counted them out to me. Who does that? Thankfully she brought me a side order of more scallops. The food is good, sweet tea was spoiled and service was fair. Those are the scallops below.

Our server was absolutely fantastic! Charismatic, fun, and attentive! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh.

Really loved the service, the environment, the food, drinks a really great place to go...food was on point too!!!
