Great for the sunsets and casual walks with your wife and or kids.

Enjoyable day at the beach, water is clear, family friendly, clean. Families were picnicking, playing dominos,, volleyball and snorkeling. Bathrooms and showers centrally located on beach. Beautiful view.

This park has a romantic feel to it, also the sensation that you are in a time warp, back In 1920

This park would be beautiful if its well maintained. Unfortunately, the buildings in the park are no longer in use. The plants and some remaining outdoor structures show its history and glory days.By revitalizing this park would benefit residents in many ways.

Great park for walking/jogging. Very close to the beach. There are some homeless folks, but that’s expected in San Juan so be on the cautious side. It was clean and there were well maintained bike lanes. Great parking facilities.

I recommend this park with out a doubt! This is one of my favorite parks because its right in front of the beach, you can just walk to the beach in les than 5 minutes. The park itself is great for walking or jogging plus you can take the kids to ride bicycle or different stuff because its big and you have plenty of space.

Its a nice place to walk and expand your spirit, seek inspiration, time to meditate, a peaceful space to read, relax and concentrate during the week. In the weekends its more busy because families go with their children.

Great place to stop a while and relax in the shade on a park bench take in the beautiful surroundings and just clear your mind. So stop in pull up a bench Im sure youll be pleasantly satisfied.

I am from Puerto Rico and this was the first time while I was on vacation that I went to this park beautiful you have to say it its a must.

Beautiful! Love the area, the park is beautiful and perfect to people watch. The water is right there so yoi can sit by the water or go to the right and hit the beach.

Open space, it connect to Escambrom beach. I use to rollerblade in the park, it has space with playground for kids. Also close to area are scuba diving! Excellent park for families and kids!

Absolutely stunning park with so much history. Beautiful place to grab a bite to eat with a friend, watch a concert or read a book. We had our first look here and it was the perfect spot. The beautiful flowers made the perfect scenery.

Park was run down but the place to be, families running around and cooking out. Another chicken park but we found this Awesome Salsa ClassLearn Salsa in Paradise - host Juan.He was very entertaining and energetic. One of the best experiences ever if you come to PR you need to learn Salsa.

Beautiful! Peaceful, quiet. I give it 5 stars for the beauty it has now, but would be amazing to see some money and time put into some renovation. It has so much potential for so much more!

So sad to see this park full of families on January 6 which is considered a traditional holiday in PR and the park didnt have any staff at all, no bathroom, all water fountains were off and no festive event. Dont go at night since theres no light and it turn dangerous. Hopefully the major of San Juan do something very soon. One of the most iconic park in the area and has no life.

Very nice and quiet park to go on a walk, sit under the shade of a tree, and take the kids to the playground and just run around. If we didnt live far wed definitely visit more often.

Im going to make this quick and simple.Heres 3 Pros and 3 Cons of this park:Pros- Parking was cheap $5 and if you are not afraid of a long walk or short jog you can get to Old San Juan or Downtown Condado within 10-20mins walking and save on parking.- The park has wild chickens and roosters that you can feed and relax with and a beautiful play area for children I forgot to photograph.- There are also pedestals with historic information that you can read about for those who love history.Cons- If you dont like to walk of have handicaps that limit mobility it may be a difficult park to explore.- You have to brave sometimes congested roads to get to the park.- The park doesnt have water fountains or a public restroom. I love coming here to do my workouts/Walkouts! The park is joined by Escambron Beach also which is a plus! Everyone who is close by area Condado,Miramar,Santurce and San Juan should pass by this beautiful place 😍

Good place to be with family and get seat at the floor with a sheet and eat there in the silence and the bird songs. Really good place to be...

This is one of the places that I went many times. Love to see the trees, the Birds and enjoy the natural area.

The area was well kept and maintained. Security and police were around. $4 to park per vehicle. It is in between two high traffic roads so you have to watch your children closely. Playground had damage so not entirely usable. Plenty of wildlife for the kids to enjoy. Wish the playground was centrally located because there is plenty of running around space throughout the park. Also walking distance to the beach.

In all my years in Puerto Rico (58!), I had never visit this beautiful park. I am glad that I recently did. It is a very peaceful place where you can walk, enjoy the little trails, sit and relax. There is track where you can jog if you wish to. There is a bridge that connects it to the nice Escambron Beach.

A large historic and mesmerizing Park that has many walkways and sites within it that are very historical. Quiet, safe, abundance of wildlife, and well maintained.

Nice calm beach for the family. More like swimming in a lake than an ocean. The water was crystal clear allowing us to see all the way to the bottom no matter how deep. Parking was $5 for the day.

Lovely and slightly overgrown. Quiet, off the beaten path, and perfect for just chilling either alone or with family/friends. And therere chickens all over the place minding their own business, lol.

Great place to bring the kids. Kids have plenty of space to run around, play and have fun. Their is a playground area and benches. Third are also paths and a bridge that leads to the Beach. Would be nicer if the vegetation was kept in check. I believe they are working on cleaning up the place a bit and cutting some the vegetation down.

Loved it. Had a blast swimming & chilling. Puerto Rico is so nice! I want to move there! My wife does not want to so Im divorcing her! Seriously.

Spectacular, an obligatory place to visit. All photos in the same visit park, flowers, palms, sand and beach. All connected with a bridge.

Small relaxing place, nostalgic for ones dont grow with electronic games.

What an amazing Hidden Gem right in beautiful San Juan. Puerto Rico has so many beautiful Parks but I think more tourists need to see. This one for example was so lovely. We found it on accident jogging one morning. We saw chickens and iguanas basking in the Sun. The Banyan trees are so lovely providing lots of canopies , and the fort seems to be tucked in the middle of the park . And they were so many cute little areas. It was a great walk through. Wonderful place to have a picnic. Or just enjoy the beauty.

Great park and beach and lots of brilliant places for pictures. Not busy on weekdays, but depends on how many cruise ships are docked.

Nice beach area. 5$ to park. Showers are available. Can get decent waves for surfing. PR, there are some beautiful spots on the island, pick up your trash instead of dropping it where you stand.

Been coming her since I was a child love this place and I have fond memories with my dad and family this is a special place for us..💙💙

It needs some repairs. I dont get why isnt pet friendly. I went last week and its temporary closed. (No restrooms available)

This is a beautiful historic park and is the only park on the island. The park has been cleaned of debris and restored after Hurricane Maria, and to me seems to have been restored to a level of splendor that it had not enjoyed in many years prior to the hurricanes. I walked through the park this morning and enjoyed it very much. It may me remember of the outings to the local park when I was a kid, and made me appreciate what a treasure parks really are. If you are in the area this is a great park to take a walk through.

4 stars because I did not like when open parks like this one does not allow you to bring pets. We walked our dog, and the security guard doesnt told us anything. Nice to walk, jog or bring your kids.

Chickens! They roam free. There is still storm damage that is in the process of getting cleaned up and repaired. Debris trucks are staged in areas of the park. The playground and most sidewalks are open and available. Even with downed trees still needing removed this is a pretty area and its fun to watch the chickens with their peeps. On a weekday afternoon there were families using the park and enjoying the beautiful day among the brokenness that lingers after Maria.

Lovely park alot of good architect friendly security great place for walk bike ride date or family fun.
