Luigia in Lausanne

Beautiful restaurant both in aesthetics and the food/drinks served. It was really full on the Saturday we arrived, but funny enough we managed to get seated in less than 10mins. And there were 8 of us! Service is excellent. I love the fact this Italian restaurant has Italian workers and Italian barmen and Italian Chefs. They even throw in couple of Italian words during conversation. Really gives you the feel as though you were in Italy. As always, best cocktail is the Luigia star.

Incredible neapolitan pizza

Amazing food be it pizza, pasta, lasagne or even a desert. Really good ambiance and interiors too. Highly recommended.

A must-visit restaurant for pizzas afficionados. The Luigia in Geneva is great too, but the one is Lausanne took an old cinema venue and turned it into a hip and popular place for all foods Italian. Pizzas are pretty unbeatable both in quality and choices, there are about 5 different choices just for a maguerita - I took the 4 cheeses which was excellent - we all know a good Italian restaurant, Luigia is very high on my list of best ones, it has it all, lively atmosphere, upbeat waiters, a fun and beautifully designed venue (with a football table and a nice bar), absolute top quality food and last but not least, a decadent Nutella pizza for desert.

This place is perhaps the best place to go to for pizza in Lausanne though pizza are overpriced and on Fridays or when doing delivery the quality of food deteriorates. The ventilation isn’t good and can get quite hot inside in summer. Some of the cocktails are good. A nice place to visit for an original Italian food experience if you can afford the high price.

Pretty good pizza and cool setting inside an old cinema. Was enough to take some home, otherwise would be a bit overpriced.

We are a regular customer of both Lausanne and Geneve and it is an absolutely amazing place to eat pizza and feel like you are in Italy. The staff is nice and very fast. Book in advance just in case from their app. Margherita&cannoli are recommended. Their cocktails are a bit light for me i must say. Should try the pasta!

Delicious food and a very nice atmosphere.The dining room is set in what used to be a cinema. Its actually very difficult to decide, as the whole menu looks delicious😄The wine selection is also varied and has some very interesting references!

Whist is very cool on this restaurant is that you can come to eat even very late. The place is beautiful so it makes sense to come as visitor once. About the food, the pasta are not good. My advice is to take pizza there. The prices are more expansive than in other Italian place and the food is not better. However, the service is efficient.

I hate to say that I wont go back again to Luigia. The food is good (when properly cookedbut their service is awful, they treat you like they dont need customers because their places are alway full. Ordered starters, beers and pizzas. Pizzas arrive first... then the starters... a few minutes before we finish our pizza, the beers came and we even have asked for it 3 times ...!!If you let them know how disappointed you are, THEY get offended and bring you the bill you didnt ask with a very clear message "now you must leave", they are shameless ! Huge ego will cost them local customers.

The restaurant administrator started to yell in Italian at the back of the place and I could recognize that he was talking about what I had ordered. When I got something different from what I ordered, I heard him telling the waiter: just say they must take it. I would have accepted the change without issue, but the arrogance and yelling just spoils the ambience for me and the families around.

Good food, but the most terrible service. It was the first time in my life where I saw a waiter or manager that was rude to the guests. He forced my dear friend, who joined to our company to leave the restaurant without any proper reason! I wouldn’t recommend this place if you respect yourself

Terrible service. Pizzas should have arrived at 20:15, instead at 20:45 the order was just picked up. After 20 minutes, the app showed that the driver was on route. This means that our pizzas got cold in the mean time.On a Wednesday night? Crazy! Never again.Also, the pizza is nothing special and I am Italian.

This is easily the best casual Italian restaurant in Lausanne. Its in a renovated cinema and they kept the theme, so its a really interesting atmosphere. In fact, they play kids movies on a big screen in a mini theatre to keep kids occupied while parents converse at their table. The pizzas are delicious, the pastas too, the service is great, and its pretty easy to get a table any time. And theyre open on Sundays!

Id like to start my experience saying that Im Italian and usually when Im abroad I dont eat at Italian restaurant. Here I have to say that the pizzas that you can try here is better than a lot of pizzerias that you can find in Italy! I have to say that I got impressed since the first time. The quality of the beer is good, its not coming from Italian micro-brewery but thats ok.

A little on the pricey side, but I would suggest the mixed fried appetizers to start. I ordered the gnocchi and it was delicious. Wife ordered the breaded veal and it was enormous, I had to help her out. This restaurant is family friendly, so dont hesitate to bring your little ones

Really cool place with great Italian food. They offer a variety of dishes and appetisers.

The restaurant seems to be nice and of high level. Prices are corresponding to the upper level restaurant. The environment and set up is also emposes good tasty dinner and the dishes are tasty. But some inconsistencies in service adds shadows to overall good impression. Our orders were messed up, but quickly replaced.If you order pizza, check the thickest part of the crust. You might spot uncooked dough as we did in 3 of our pizzas, see photos. Then you can ask for replacement right away. We did not this time...

Solid italian food in Switzerland (Lausanne and elsewhere). Come here if you don’t want to be disappointed with your meal. The place is spacious and so the antidotum to the usual problem of finding a decent place to eat at on a Saturday evening in Lausanne without booking.

Great restaurant. Very good service, great food, nice and spacy inside, recently renovated. Reminds the chic style of 70s and 80s, but in modern execution.

Very friendly and fast staff, the Pizza is made in front of the Customer and it isnt to Pricey after all. We had to wait just 30minutes for our food and the Ambiente is easily a 10/10! We recommend it! :)

We had a good evening here, with truely original Neapolitan pizza and good wine. It was rather crowded, very noisy. And little basil on the Margherita. Waiters friendly and efficient, maybe one more could have helped. All in all a place to recommend.

Italian cuisine gem of Lausanne!Highly recommended for pizza, pasta, cocktails and deserts. Very friendly and welcoming service, nice people and super delicious food.Can be hard to get a seat during high-time in the evening, but the manager is acting fairly and professionally by maintaining a list by priority.

The waiter took 30 minutes to get our order (we had to call them ourselves). After that, the food came quite quick, but nobody brought us any cutlery (they said they would, and then forgot).As a result, the pizza was already cold when we started eating. In general, we had to keep asking for missing stuff (cutlery, drinks, dessertas the waiters would forget.

This restaurant was very busy and you are unable to reserve tables so be expected to wait if you visit. The setting and atmosphere of the restaurant is buzzing and setting is pretty cool and definitely worth a visit! The food itself is fantastic, everything from starters to dessert was delicious and it’s clear from the food the reason why it’s so busy!

Great food and staff always very welcoming. The prices may be slightly above average, but the quality of the food and service justify it 100%.

I have been told that this is the best pizza place in Lausanne. Located in an old movie theatre, the pizzas are very good and the staff first class. The only problem is noise when it is busy and that is quite often.

Excellent pizza, I dare to say that is similar to the ones in Napoli, at 5 times the price, but we’re in Switzerland. Service was very good with all the waiters being polite.The place looks and feels cozier than the one in Geneva.

One of the best italian restaurants in Lausanne. Got a big variety of pizza 🍕 and pasta . The ingredients are fresh and coming all the way from italy. Their pizza dough is napolitan. The deserts are great specially the pizza nutella

Pizza was very tasteful and location is great as the restaurant is in and old cinema refurbished and converted. I went during an hot summer day and inside the temperature was to high as there was no air conditioning.

Nice place with delicious pizza and tiramisu. It is not possible to book a table. So if there are a lot of people, it is necessary to wait. The service is really fast and efficient.

This is a unique Italian restaurant as it is located inside an old movie theater. The food itself was amazing, I highly recommend getting a pizza over pasta but the ladder was still tasty and authentic! Our waiter was very friendly and the menu offers a variety of classic Italian dishes as well as house specials

Arriving a Thursday night and waiting for a table for 30 minutes is not a problem if the food is worth waiting for. The truffles on the petales had been frozen and tasted off, the cheese still cold, and generally untasty. In comes second course, a lovely pizza. But again unfortunately under cooked and generally tasteless. I wonder why this place is full every night...
