176-acre park set in a river bend, with a pool, nature center & paved trail for hiking & biking.
Very nice park. I walked the whole Park great exercise also. Nice picnic area and cool bridge.
Great park but… “go before you go”. Bathrooms shacks on the park grounds are a nightmare and seriously, no door on the stall? This isn’t an army boot camp here. Other than that, great place with great people. I’d add photos but might not be appropriate ;-)
This is a really beautiful site to have a walk with nature and appreciate the beauty of the park along with the water falls. I visited this park in November of 2021 along with my wife and children and we had an amazing experience in the Fall Season.
We always take the kids out there its very beautiful place for kids and family.
It wasnt much of a place to see. Everything looked run down and uninhabited. The falls was nice but nothing majorly nice. Did not really stand out.
I had A Blast With My Daughter In Law / BonusDaughter Joy & Grandchildrens, The DucksWalking All Over The Park As A family In Line.My Grandchildrens Enjoyed The Park And UsedThe Picnic Tables To Eat Lunch & Talk ,Fun fun
I had a difficult time finding the entrance closest to the waterfall. But it was worth it when I did. Very nice and wide bike/walking concrete trail. Definitely recommend this free attraction
We had my sons celebration of life here and it was amazing. Such a beautiful park.
Nice large park with paved walking paths to the falls & disc golf course.
Very clean very safe well let well-kept we are new here so I can’t wait to see what it looks like in the spring and summer when everything blooms. This is near the city center where they have or keep all of the police vehicle’s and the 911 center I think 911 is in there not sure but this place is loaded with security because of his geographical position. I took my daughter there to a Filipino American community celebration for Easter and they had a nice turn out for the kids were there was an Easter egg hunt and other games and activities the park is very nice for families and communities I’m very well pleased.
I visit mainly for the disc golf course here. Every time I have gone, the course is well maintained without tall grass and the course is laid out accurately in the UDisc app for easy navigation. Plenty of walkways and trashcans, and often plenty of others enjoying the park. Make sure to lock your doors and not leave valuables in your car, as some shady people frequent the park. However, the police are present and patrol the area after dark in my experience. Nice park. I visit often, day and night
If you want plenty of spaces to ride bikes, skateboard, roller skate or blade, jogging, exercising, walking, etc best place to go: you can do all this to the falls, the duck pond, kinda scenic. 👍👍
This is such a beautiful park. Great walking trails. 2 playgrounds for kids. Even has a pool but we did not visit it. The bathrooms needed quite a bit of cleaning but most public parks do. The falls were beautiful. I hate to see so much trash within the river but the landscape had been well taken care of.
Nice walk to the Falls while visiting Lucy Park in Wichita Falls, TX. Beautiful scenery, youll even pass a rope bridge that you can walk across, but you dont need to cross it in order to get to the Falls, just follow the path.
Excellent city park! Well kept and managed by the city of Wichita Falls. Such large spaces with different features. Intentional thought and design was put into this place. Great place to spend the day for some quiet time or with the whole family.
Of course the season and weather will affect any visit to any park but if you are able to enjoy this park when its cool outdoors then its great park for walks, disc golf and playgrounds. If youre trying to beat this TX summer heat then the pool is decent for kids to enjoy some water recreations.
Trail was fine and falls were a nice picture op but the boarded up hotel across the way was a huge eye sore for this to be the towns crown piece.
What a great city park! Highly recommend if you are in Wichita Falls. The park has walking trails, disk golf, picnic tables, and grills. We did 2 miles of walking (full circle to the waterfall and backand had a picnic.
Best park in Wichita Falls! The playgrounds were great and the kids love the musical toys. Its dog friendly and the covered patios are great for a spontaneous picnic.
Simple place to stay overnite. Basic RV park. No restrooms and showers. Only $17.00. On the honor system. Pull in, pick your spot and put the money in the envelope. Then deposit in the box. Has a dump to use to dump. Claen. Very hot sites in the sun. Few sites under the trees near the road. Highway 44 is right there. Th
Our favorite place in Wichita Falls. We even got married in its log cabin! The Falls, disc golf, walking, biking or having a picnic.
Log Cabin rental in the park is very affordable and nice for any kind of celebration and is air conditioned.
its a huge park. its probably not someplace to get caught not paying attention, saw some strange people creepin. best keep kids close..it is ok but serious creepies once it got to evening hours. a friend of mine had 2 men following her at seperate times in the same evening. be aware
Nice park well maintained some rude children unsupervised in the play area , but other then that it is a great place to take the family
Nice place to walk, the fall is awesome. Great for kids and also have disc golf spots to play. Parking lot available.
Best park to just sit & enjoy some quiet time
Awesome park with a full 18 hole disc golf course. A rope suspension bridge connecting to the RV park. They also have a nature center and butterfly exhibit. Wish I seen in spring when grass is green.
This is a beautiful park. Very peaceful with walking trails, shade trees, disc golf, pool, basketball, and you can feed the ducks. Theres a lot to do and its huge, but my favorite thing was the swinging bridge.
Had a great time walking my dog around the park. I spent close to an hour at the duck pond where I saw ducks, geese, corvids, and tortoises. Would be heaven for someone that likes to bird watch.
I often go here with the family. Great place to get some milage on the bike and the trail is accessible for runners as well. The waterfalls has been a place of many family photos. We will miss this place most of all when we move.
Such a beautiful park, a good place to have a good nice day to spend.
Fun place … very large park and lots to see
Beautiful park The falls are a great picture spot Big pool for summer time
Spacious and grassy park, located along the muddy Wichita River next to the interstate. The river trail is a pleasant walk with helpful signage leading to the manufactured falls, found well beyond the main grounds.
Very nice open space for family outing. Area is big to explore around. The best of all, cross the bridge and leads you to the a mountain bike/hiking trail. Love that trail.
Lucy Park is always a good option to either go walk, play disc golf or to just go feed the ducks at the duck pond. The walking trail is a loop, a little over a mile I think maybe more and the walk to the falls is a short one depending where you park. Its a nice casual park with open fields in the center and plenty of benches with pavilions and two separate basket ball courts. It is well kept and there is also a playground area for you to take you kids to play and swing. The picture of the falls I posted was taken and edited by me personally and doesnt look like that in real life.
I saw review before visiting the place , at photos I have seen the water falls it was really good. But the when we visited it was not the same , it little dirty. We had a lunch at the park.My kid loved playing in a park playground. They had two playground and one with slides and other is a sand play area, my kid loves playing in a sand. So we had a good time there enjoying our lunch. The park was big we didn’t had time to explore the park.
The park is located a short distance from the highway. We stopped for an impromptu picnic under a well built shaded area in the park. Then followed the signs down a nice wide sidewalk to see the falls. It was better in person than online pictures led us to believe. The park is fairly clean and has other amenities like a pool, playground, and large seating areas.
My kids and I had lots of fun here. We took a walk up to the falls and got some really good pictures 🙂
It was a beautiful place. The falls werent running when we visited but my kids enjoyed getting to see the ducks and turtles. They also really enjoyed the bridge over the river.
Lucy Park in Wichita Falls was a great day trip. The park features miles of walking paths, plenty of picnic benches, kids play area, a duck pond and the falls.
Really pleasant walk through shaded concrete walkways. Several views of the river. The falls are gorgeous and not that far.
What a great place to stop on a road trip. The first set of parking spots are a great place to stop and take a quick walk to the Falls. If you keep driving and you get to the swimming pool (didnt try to goand several little playgrounds with plenty of picnic tables and nice walking trails. Just didnt have the nicest bathrooms and saw enough trash on the trails to make me shake my head. Lots of trashcans available.
This park was surprisingly nice. It’s a big park and has fun little trails, playgrounds, fields with benches and picnic tables all over, a disc golf course a river and of course the falls. The rope bridge is really fun along with the neat trees and wildlife. I had so much fun exploring this park. I hope you get the chance to enjoy it as much as I did.
Lucy park. It’s a great place to take your family. They have biking trails, Swimming pools some of the best playgrounds in Wichita Falls. Disc golf and don’t let me forget to mention it’s in the greatest city in the state of Texas Wichita Falls has been my home last 17 years I’ve been up around this area my entire life so take it from me.
Lucy Park is one of the two best parks in town in my humble opinion. Whether you are looking for a game of disc golf, a stroll along the river, feeding ducks, having a picnic or just about any other park associated activity, Lucy Park will meet the need. While youre there, take the time to make the short walk to see The Falls.Would give five stars but Lucy Park is a bit tucked away and sometimes a little difficult for out of town folks to find. Maybe thats part of its charm though. ;-)
A great and well maintained park. There are many benches to sit and take a rest. Beautiful flowers bloom throughout the park. This place is well maintained and a great place to take a walk and relax. Hands down the nicest park in Wichita falls.
Love this park!!! Beautiful clean park. Public bathrooms, playgrounds, pool, frisbee golf, and walking trails
very nice park good trails ,water ducks geese turtles, only bad thing right near hwy alot of traffic noise ,several play areas ,nature center links other parks, definitely worth visit
