Lucidos italian express - Restaurant in Childress, United States
Under cooked, grilled chicken on a chicken cutlet parm hero, and a very sad looking sub at that.
Lucidos is a small "hole in the wall" style Italian joint serving homeade Italian dishes. Most everything on the menu is made from scratch and you can taste the quality. Ive taken my crew up there multiple times for dinner and everyone is always impressed with their meal. You can also order Italian sausage, either ground up or in links, and pick between regular or spicey. I highly recommend Lucidos and will be returning anytime Im in town for business.
Stopped here in the evening after being in the car all day and wanted something quick, but not a fast food chain. The ladies working were super sweet and worked hard to get us in and out. We had a large pizza, and it was perfect. We were back on the road in less than 30 minutes!
2 gluten free cust pizzas look different in crust? Meat lovers so so.but disappointed in amount of toppings. Cheese burger had very little meat more pickles little cheese...Terribly disappointed for the price! Pizza hut didnt have gluten free options 🤨
I was passing through Childress and stopped in for a late dinner. Ordered the spaghetti and meat-sauce. The food was delicious and a generous portion. But, it was a very long wait time. From the time I sat down til my order arrived was just over an hour....
I ate at Lucidos 3 times in 2 days, once with my husband. We liked it so much we went with other friends. The pizza was delicious and the chicken Alfredo was superb. The service was outstanding.
Great people. Food was delicious. I’m a truck driver passing through and tired of the same old food. Today was a blessing.
Great food!!! Stopped in while passing through town. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo sauce was a good thickness and great fresh flavor, definitely not from a jar. The chicken was tender and delicious. The best part was there was enough sauce left to use the garlic bread to wipe the plate clean. Thank you for a fabulous dinner.
The pizza was decent and the prices were not bad. I ordered the original wings and didnt equate original to unseasoned. They were barely done and not of super great quality. If you go dont get the wings. The wings also came out after the pizza, which I found annoying. I would go back for the pizza.
Holy awesome food! Traveling from CO to Dallas and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and decided on this quant Italian place. Ordered the Sausage Ravioli and it was piping hot!! Like it stayed steaming the entire time I was eating it. Loved that! The home made sauce was soo good, I had to ask for more bread so I didn’t waste it. It only did the Chef agree to bring more bread, she brought me 4 freshly toasted slices with 2 sides of the house sauce!!! I was in heaven!! Thank you so much for an amazing meal! Will definitely be hitting this place up again on my travels back to CO.
Delicious pizza! Fresh ingredients, solid sauce. Reminds me almost of NY pizza. Way better than what we were expecting and way better than the chain down the street. Friendly staff, quick delivery. Pro tip: they deliver to the hotels. Will get it again on our way back.
The pizza I ordered was delivered with barely any sauce or cheese. It had burnt patches of dry bread throughout the pizza. It was too late to have them take it back so i choked it down. Hopefully they were just really busy and my experience was an anomaly bc I honestly dont know how they stay in business if not.
When it originally opened it was better than. the Chicken Alfredo is ok very small size for the price. Miss the original bread sticks. Boyfriend said the Lasagna was alright.
AMAZING pizza!! We are truck drivers and eat all over the country and this pizza was hands down perfect! The ingredients are so fresh and the meats are real actual meats cooked fresh. You can watch them toss the crust and prepare your pizza. The kitchen is in full view and it was seriously clean. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive. They were extremely busy and things ran pretty smooth. Cant wait to come back this way for pizza again. Their Italian pasta dishes looked awesome and everything was piping hot. A must stop when youre looking for Italian or pizza.
This is an awesome place. Will go back next line I roll through this town. Grewt for and great service. Met the whole Family and the owners. Keep up the great work and take care of your self..
You are 100% better off going to the pilot for food. These people charged me 17$ for a pasta that was 9.99 and 2.99 for a house salad. Just to add muchrooms tomatoes and onions to my pasta. I get 3 TOMATOES TWO OR THREE CUTS OF GREEN ONION SLICES NO DAMN MUSHROOMS. This DAMN town CHILDRESS is TRASH the only people that get any respect here is the METH heads and of COURSE whites. Why the heck yall hate any1 with complection beats the hell out of me. The only serial killers are white and the only people shooting up schools is yall DAMN KIDS!!!!!! STOP MESSING WITH PEOPLES MONEY AND FOOD. !!! GROW UP
Absolutely love this place!!!!! Suga is awesome! So far have tried the ravioli, the meatball sub and the pastry wrapped meatballs and they were soooo good! Looking forward to returning again and again.Excellent service by solicitous server/owner without being overly intrusive.
There is some stuff that isnt good about this place. The service was nearly nonexistent and the staff needs supervision. There is also a sign on the door about winter hours....its August. What does not suck is the food. I had a meat calzone that is still making me salivate. Oh baby it was good. Took a while, but I dont care. It was top shelf.
I had brunch and it was good. Breakfast os reasonably priced. It can be pricey for main courses. ($12-$15+ range Nice and clean with eclectic decorating.
Great food and just behind my parking spot at the truck stop. And most of all fast and friendly
Good tasting food prepared quickly. The restaurant could use at least one more high chair for kiddos.
A nice little hole-in-the-wall place. The chicken fettuccine alfredo could have been better - hopefully not their best dish. The staff was friendly, just try the red sauce dishes over the white.
Child size portions, my wife makes better spaghetti sauce, sausage was ok, nothing special, left hungry.
I sit like a fool for 45 minutes and my food never came!! They send some 12yrs waitress to tell me the food was not coming.... AFTER I ask about my order. I call the next day to complain and the owner hang up on me ... is there a minus five stars? That would be my rating!
Nice little place. Not much seating but, cozy, kinda quiet. Food was good, staff was friendly. I would stop again.
Food slow! Orders messed up all over restaurant. Taste more like frozen TV dinners than homemade Italian.
I have had this food delivered to my hotel twice now. First time took them over and hour second was 45min. Ordered the chicken Alfredo both times. The portions are small and have only 4 small pieces of chicken in them. Should not be called chicken Alfredo if only going to give 4 small and thin pieces of chicken. But as far as the flavor... the flavor was great taste very good . Just needs to improve on speed and the portion of “chicken” in the “CHICKEN Alfredo”
Really great place to eat.Food is excellent. You wont find anything else like it in Childress. I thank them for being open in the morning while Dawson so is closed. We though the Valentines Special was great.
The food was fresh, hot, and delicious! The staff were very friendly and were quick with serving our food. 10/10 would go again.
The sugar source is really great, not sour not salty, Just balanced with spaghetti. Owner was very nice and talkative. Feel like dinning at home.
The chicken parm with crushed red peppers is amazing! So is the garlic bread!
Passing through, was easily the most convenient and friendly dining experience weve had on our trip, and the pizza was excellent! Highly recommend.
For Italian food it was ok. Definitely better than fast food at the truck stop. Short walk from the Pilot. Would go there again but dont expect prime Italian food.
Food wasn’t disgusting and restaurant was well maintained. But they got my order wrong and when they brought out what i actually did order it was hot on the outside but cold on the inside.
Clean well maintained restaurant in a strip mall. Plenty of parking. Staff are very very nice. Food was excellent. Recommend.
On a recent trip from AZ, WE stopped in Childress TX looking for a bite to eat. Imagine our surprise finding a good Italian restaurant tucked away in a strip shopping area. Food very good, we had spaghetti, and the service was equally good. Will definitely go back on next trip.
My wife and I visited this pizza place September 18, 2017 for a pizza to go. An immature lady recorded our pizza into the computer at 6:45 PM. We waited and waited and after 35 minutes the person making the food gave us calzone. When we said we ordered pizza, he said there was no pizza order given to him.The worst thing was no one ever apologized for the mixup. We finally got our pizza (very greasy and not the greatestafter 55 minutes of ordering.Go there at your own risk.J. A. CollOn the road back to PA
The lasagna was hot and delicious. The portion was just right. Unfortunately, they didnt offer minestrone soup when I was there. Service was superb.
I ate the meat calzone. It was delicious. The restaurant was clean and staff very friendly. Ill be back.
Wonderful owners and staff. Ate here a few weeks ago on my reset. Portions could be a little bigger on the to-go servings, but I got my fill.
Hot tasty food served at a good price. Family run , Friendly staff and the environment is really clean.Definetely ask about their homemade sausage
Just went there yesterday with my parents and daughter. The brothers ultimate meat pizza was great! My dad really enjoyed the calzone and my mom loved the Carlos bocce ball. We came in on a whim and loved it. The only thing that my dad pointed out was the hamburger was bland and would have made the food even better if there was some sort of seasoning to it. Other than that it was amazing.
Great pizza, friendly staff and clean. Pasta and meatballs are excellent. But chicken sandwich tasted bland and rubbery.
I called in an order of 5 pounds of Italian Sausage to-go and it was AMAZING!! It was hot and ready to go when I arrived. The inside of the restaurant is decorated really nice and is very modern looking!
I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. Everything was wonderful. The house made old family recipe sausage was as good as Ive ever had. Great value for the price. Friendly staff. Definite place to stop for Italian food.
The meatballs are really sweet and sauce was more like a mole sauce. Chicken Alfredo was watery and garlicky. Dont think well stop here again. Wasnt disgusting, just didnt like it.
Horrible pizza, with horrible taste. The service was okay, very poor quality in the pizza. No standards whatsoever.I have nothing against the young staff, but I think they shoul have and adult to supervise.
Friendly people, fresh food. The calzone was perfect.
Hamburger pizza is amazing!!! Great calzons...Very good place to eat!! Your not going to be disappointed.
We had the privilege of dining in at Lucidos on opening day. Melissa was so friendly and sincere. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger pizza, and it was amazing. I dont even like mustard, but the mustard sauce worked perfectly with the pickles, cheese, and bacon. And their pizza crust is delicious! My husband and I finished the whole large pizza - and I had only intended to eat my salad! We will definitely be back and recommend that you check out Lucidos - as soon as possible!Ps. We have a daughter with severe gluten intolerance, so we were pleased to see they offer gluten-free pasta and pizza for an additional cost.
