Good food friendly staff very clean place must try if in the Area

Lubys is a very wonderful restaurant where you can breakfast, lunch and dinner too with your families. It is a very clean restaurant, the food is very delicious and the service is very excellent too.

Tried to go in doors at 749pm. All doors locked. Wtheck. No more.

Good customer service. Hot fresh baked Fish. Chicken tenders and fried chicken were on point! The refreshing salads were really good too! The deserts were delicious as well!

Not what it used to be, food tastes different, used to taste homemade, dishes are fair at most.

Food was ok but so much more expensive it doesnt seem to be worth it anymore.. few people here, all looked depressed as they ate.. felt strange..

It has been many years since we have eaten at Lubys back when we lived in the north TX area. Eating the wonderful meal we had tonight at the Harlingen location brought back so many delightful memories. Everyone gets exactly what they love and the tastes were what I remembered. Thank you so much for the delicious dinner. And that coconut cream pie was amazing, still the same recipe. WOW!

I was so disappointed. Hadn’t gone to lung’s in awhile. I asked for the Luanne fried chicken, they didn’t have any mashed potatoes, the fried chicken was not crispy and the fried okra was soggy. Dang then they charged $45.00 for me and my friend. Unbelievable not going back

A Texas Icon. Consistency is what I love about visiting a Luby’s. Their food is consistently tasty and the right temperature (a bonus of being a cafeteria). Ordered to go from this location yesterday. The order was large with many extras. No items were missing and it got to my door quickly. Perfect visit.

I thought it was over priced for two vegetables and a jello. The bread was cold and very dry, like it had been made the day before.

Always good. Lots of plates to chose from. Always a place to sit. Wheelchair accessible. Veggie people u can go there too. Kids friendly always

Yum! Fried fish, mashed potatoes, buttered squash! Everything was very good, but the tartar sauce and jalapeño cornbread was exceptional, today!!!Shout out to Cassie for going the extra mile with great service to helping out after a medical issue with my knee!🤩

Welcoming and wonderful staff. It was a good lunch with family. Sweet potatoes and corn bread are yummy.

Excellent food

The food was okay. Large portions for decent prices. This location was pretty out of date. The ceiling had a lot of water damage and the floor was somewhat worn out. My daughter ordered stuffed salmon and said it was really good. Dad was happy with his chicken fried chicken. I got grilled tilapia and it was ok but needed more seasoning. My grandma got spaghetti and said it tasted bad. The jalapeño cornbread was good but not hot. The macaroni was also good but not hot. The mashed potatoes were not very tasty. I was happy with my spinach salad that had crumbled cheese, strawberries and raspberry vinegar salad dressing. The waitress was not very attentive but they seem short on staff.

Wide selection. The staff was friendly. Enjoyed our food. Took advantage of the kids eat free on Saturday.

Food is hot and fresh, made in small batches. Classic American foods. I tried their baked chicken today for the first time and it was really good. Juicy and full of flavor.

Great food but keep inventory of the regular chopped steak, not just the Angus, please!

I ordered the ribeye special, it was tender and perfect. I really appreciate the selections here. As always a tight operation and great service.

Although Ive had times where I was completely without service the entire time (incompetent serversthey arent really needed for refills so its not too bad. I enjoy the food and how I can get food quick.The 🥦 is always incredible

I used to love the louann liver. Not anymore. Now they batter it, not the same

First time here first thing I noticed is most customers definitely get the senor citizen discount you get a tray pick what you want get a drink fill it up and pay I paid with a card but the person charging made me feel obligated to take out cash to tip before i even sat down which I didnt understand because I just did everything there was no need for a waitress, food was good had the steak but the waitress kept bothering me every 5 minutes to see if I was OK, place is outdated but whatever i needed to leave but still felt obligated to tip but it bothered me to do it since there was no need for a waitress

Chicken fried steak is awesome as always. Staff is on top of there game.

We went in for dessert the pecan pie inside was gooey very sticky the crust was like a piece of cardboard. The pecan pie was what we exchanged it for the original pie we got was what we thought was coconut cream but instead it was some buttermilk concoction, they couldn’t tell us the name of the dessert. The coffee was great the sweet potatoes were great too.

Use to love going to lubys now food is cold and not much taste. So very disappointed.

I ordered liver & onions, mashed potatoes & fried okra. The was soggy, & oily. It left oil on my pallate. I couldnt eat them. The liver was great but but hardly any onions. The portion of white gravey was tiny but the whole wheat roll was good. I was disappointed with the overall meal.

Lubys is always great. Thank God a few stayed open and few went under due to covid. But the food is very good, large portions and the Mac and cheese is the best ever.!! Not gonna lie but the prices did go up alot. A dinner plate, drink and desert like $21.00 per person. But very filling. Its a place where everyone can have something different. 😋

Chicken fried steak was heavy on the breading! Mac and cheese was cold. The whole wheat rolls were good. No social distancing or masks observed.

Had a great lunch @ Lubys. Food was delicious and fresh. Also had a salad which was also fresh. Everything was good including the service. Will continue to go there in Harlingen.

As long as you like cafeteria style dining youll be youll be very happy with Lubys. Plenty of parking and a large dining area with an attentive staff.

We didnt have to wait long to order our food. I didnt expect to spend so much today chicken combo was over $11 and a coke zero was $2.99. Oh well its not every year that I eat there.

I had the turkey combo and my husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak, that was about the size of the plate!Sorry no pictures we were starving and didnt remember to shoot one.Nonetheless the comfort food here never disappoints.

Everything here is delicious and made fresh everyday with the best ingredients out there!! I love their lemon pepper salmon which you can order from the kitchen if not already in the lineup. Ribeye is tops too. Good place for a salad as well. Highly recommended. Go Lubys!!

Food is delicious. I felt discouraged the way the older lady spoke to me about eating in in or take out. Other than that other staff were polite.

My family and I have been going to Lubys for more than 30 years and I cant remember ever having a bad experience. Sometimes you just want a home-cooked style meal without all the fuss. This is the place to fill that need.

$$$$ Lubys lunch for 1 with water to drink $22.20 is truly ridiculous to eat at a cafe and pay that kind of money in Harlingen, Texas. You can get a quality steak salad and baked potato at Texas Roadhouse and Wednesday night for $10.00 Lubys is highway robbery $$$$
