Serene 93-acre nature sanctuary with gardens, walking paths, a 1913 chapel & educational programs.
It is always beautiful and well kept! So much to see! Nice walking trails. Great place to walk dogs too. Plenty of grass area to play.
This is a great public space. They take good care of planning and maintaining the landscape. Easy to access the walking trails. The vegetation changes with each season so its likely each visit will provide a varied experience.
Beautiful. Well-kept. Love visiting this arboretum!
This is by far my favorite part of Lubbock. Its a great place to walk or sit.
nice trails
A fantastic place to walk, sit and relax. Perfect place to take time to break away from your busy schedule alone or with some friends or family.
We got married June 3. I was in complete panic mode given we were set to have an outdoor ceremony @ the Arch outside the tea terrace. Joann was AMAZING and saved ...no she made a dream come true for me. She pulled a hail Mary and was able to get us the St. Paul Chapel. Id wanted to get married there since I was a little girl. Thanks to Joanns efforts, I married a man greater than my wildest dreams in the place Id always dreamed of. Despite being behind schedule, everything was beautiful. We did set up and break down chairs @ the Chapel. It seated 65.Renting the Archway only was $75/hr and then $1/chair. You do have to do any setup (decoratingand breakdown (cleanupwithin the rental time. So definitely have a plan in place to get it all done. They also have an event center and tea terrace rental (with bridal suitefor $500. It doesnt allow dancing so that ended up being a no for us but everything was beautiful and communication was great. We are so grateful to them for their generosity and professionalism.
love coming here nice place to relax and take pix
Beautiful garden . Its such a nice place to walk your dog or go with a friend exploring.
Really enjoyed taking our engagement pictures here! Did it the first week on November and it was PERFECT. Plenty of places to choose from.
the flowers here are very pretty and its nice to walk around with some friends or alone. its really hot during the summer though
Flowers, trees, and crime out the wahoo. Loves this place when Lubbock cares enough about this side of town to have a cop not sit in a church parking lot and actually prevent crime.
Great place for Free Family fun!!!!! Big Park lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes!
We went to the Pumpkin Trail tonight right after sunset and it was packed, but a really enjoyable experience. The trails were clearly marked and the pumpkins carved by area students were adorable. Im so glad the Arboretum hosts this every year.
Not much to see but its fun to walk around. I always bring my pets for a walk and its very peaceful.
Pretty and seems well laid out. I didnt get to spend as much time there as Id like and look forward to returning.
Beautiful place; watch out for the wasps in the gazebo.
We planted 2 trees with John. We had to dig the holes. John provided the supplies. He is very knowledgeable about trees and what they do for the process of planting the trees in memory of. Its hard work. BUT well worth it.
I absolutely loved this place!! The people were informative. .. I love walking and looking and seeing things!! It a very nice place!!
I love how beautiful this place is. I always get my pictures done here. It also a great and quiet place just to think or walk around in.
Always puts on a great event such as the pumpkin trail
Beautiful oasis worth the visit. Also, I made a friend!
Disappointed! Loose dogs in the park, overgrown displays, un-edged paths, lake full of vegetation. Apparently the city doesnβt spend much time on this βattraction β. Saw several plaques about the tireless volunteers and most of those seem to have passed, according the the signs. There was one older lady trying to clean up one of the completely overgrown planting areas, and she could use some help. I am glad there was no admission fee, but maybe they could do that and hire some folks to make this place the gem it could be.
Most plants full of weeds. Not much to see. If out just to walk have good trails.
Its beautiful, perfect place for pictures! Just be sure to bring bug spray, theres plenty of mosquitoes
Beautiful this time of year! I love the fact that they have planted so many food bearing trees and shrubs for both humans and wildlife.
Beautiful place for pictures!
I shoot a lot of sessions here. The trees are beautiful in the fall.
We enjoy the pumpkin trail every year. Great free experience for the whole family.
Always enjoy this place with the pumpkin trail going on. Love the decorations and all the pumpkins displayed. The trail could use more lighting, but family had a great time.
Beautiful place! Always a good time going here! Plenty of shade and greenery and color!
The forlorn expression on the widowers face with pruners in his hands standing in the ROSE GARDEN, will keep reminding me of the EFFORT, DEDICATION, & PASSION of the WONDERFUL VOLUNTEERS! π My wife and I have been ENJOYING the quiet beauty of the lovely variety & arrangements of flowers, shrubs, trees, & the mowed grass several times each year for the last 6+ yrs in LBK. THANK YOU! πβ₯οΈπ€
Beautiful area to take the family, plenty to see and lots of areas to walk around, just dont forget your camera and bug spray. My kids loved it here and the sensory garden was really awesome.
My favorite place to go for a walk! Lovely rose garden, full of seasonal local flowers and herbs, as well as fruit trees. For those of you who play Pokemon Go or Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, this is a good place to fill up on pokeballs/energy and do gym/fortress battles. The abundance of gazebos and trees means that its not too hard to find a shady place to rest. Its a great place for photoshoots.
I was surprised by how well everything was maintained, this proved to be a pretty nice evening. We went around Halloween, and they had a huge pumpkin walk. No, no -- there was not a large pumpkin walking around but rather hundreds of local people/organizations carved pumpkins. so I enjoyed seeing the hard work of others. I appreciated the work put into the grounds and loved the seclusion
Bring bug spray
This place is such a beautiful spot and especially for taking pictures π π awesome job for keeping it up.
my daughters love the sensory garden, the gorgeous roses, the little church, and the wide open space here. the poppies are always a big hit, as well. This is glorious natural beauty framed in perfectly manicured lawns, and picturesque scenery that is so rare in this flat, brown wasteland. I highly recommend watching the sun set from the banks of the pond.
Good to see the visitors enjoying such a special landmark, very impressed with the cleanliness and staff.
My grand baby loved the pumpkin trailπππ
Beautiful place, great place to for a walk. The Pumpkin Trail was fun, with lots of craved Jack-o-lanterns donated by the community.
This place is so beautiful! I love coming here with my dog. It truly brightens my day. So many beautiful flowers
Wonderful experience. Every time I come here, I feel like l am reliving many of the descriptive scenery l still remember in many of the old English novels and magazines I read as a teenager. Thank you for the values you are dedicated to preserving for Lubbock residents.
Great place for walks...very photographic area...its free to visit but please dont litter u know its run mostly by volunteers
Beautiful this time of year!
This is a great place to go out and have a nice walk. The general grounds are open basically during daylight hours. If you need anything else it is usually best you call ahead and make an appointment. They always need volunteers and will put you to work!
Great walking paths, lots of great plants to look at, nice place any time if day. The rose garden is also worth checking out
They host a pumpkin trial every year, and so much more fun activities through out tge year, for all ages!
This lake is a hidden gem for sure. We lovencourage this lake its so beautiful and just minutes from Lubbock. Its so worth the drive from anywhere near by. Day trip or a weekend getaway
It provides a unique experience for families for some fall fun and the artistry the community puts together to donate fantastically carved pumpkins is outstanding.
