Absolutely disgusting hotel. Ants in room and on bed. Major construction (controlled building demolitionacross the street with jackhammers running 10 hours per day. Aircon that is never cleaned and drips water on the bed when running. When I told them my bed was wet from the aircon dripping on me all night, they told me to wait for maintenance instead of checking me into a new room.When they decide a new room was in order I was told to “wait 6 hours because no rooms are available” What floors me is that they denied my refund for remaining days when I moved into a new hotel because my “booking was non refundable”. How amazing that you can have an absolutely horrid stay and they offer no apology or any compensation for your troubles. Plenty of hotels in the area. Stay away. I recommend Hop Inn it’s right across the street.

Lub D has 153 Private Rooms and 10 Shared Rooms (Mixed Dormitories), a rooftop restaurant and bar with amazing views, a co-working space, a meeting room, and a games area. The social space is huge. The rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are outside of the room. There a lockers for backpacks and stuff. For the elevator you need an Access card which you get after the checkin.

I have been to many hostels all over the world and I can say that this is just first class! Price is affordable considering this is nearby Makati bars and central business district.The rooms are cozy, spacious and clean. I love the ambiance. The hostel we stayed was for 4 and it was very good for a group stay.Im just happy that Lub D branches out in Makati and started the best standard for hostels.

The Lub D Hotel hostel was fairly disappointing and could be a lot better.The building is old and everything inside could do with some refurbishment.The staff and the security a very friendly helpful and professional but the rooms are very Stark and the queen bed is two single mattresses pushed together with hard sides creating lumps in the middle and the mattresses and selves our lumpy and uncomfortable and resting on a raised section of floor there is no bed base.There is a useless cooler style bar fridge with no adjustment and the temperature inside the fridge was no different to the room temperature an absolute waste of money putting it there because it was useless rubbish.There is a small LCD TV with some cable channels and again this should have been replaced a long time ago with a larger Smart TVThe rooftop bar area is quite pleasant well setup and if the place was busy it would probably have quite a good atmosphere as there are some really good views across Manila.The housekeeping is a joke and non-existent and not once during my stay did they come and replace the towels the water or make up the room. 0 out of 10 for the non-existent poor housekeeping.You can get proper hotels in the area for the same price of less with much better facilities and much more comfortable so I could not recommend this place

Hello,The hotel is located in a good street however the rooms are very smelly and not clean, there is dust on the floor and the bathroom curtains smells like mold. The sheets are dirty.The staff are nice.

I have been coming here for years this was my first time back since COVID stayed there on 9/20 and on my way back from LA on 9/23 this week and everything is still well maintained wifi is good. Also private room are definitely worth the money

For a budget hostel, this place is commendable. Perfect for backpackers, small families or barkadas who want to take on the Poblacion experience.Upside: the hotel is clean and still new. We love its overall industrial design and the touch of Philippine pride. Being at the heart of Makati Ave, its near really good restaurants and bars. The rooms are tiny but theyre perfect. They have a lounge at the 2nd floor with arcade games, a small store for toiletries, a restaurant/bar, foosball and pool tables. We got to play Uno and Jenga while a live acoustic singer plays in the background. They also have a rooftop bar with a great city view.Downside: While the room rates are very affordable, the restaurant menu is a bit overpriced for its portion sizes. Although given the amenities and the experience, we get why you pay a premium.Do we recommend this place? Yes!Are we going back? Definitely.

Stayed here for 2 nights and will be back again for 3 next week.Room is OK, not sound proof so if theres a crying baby in the other room, youll definitely hear it. Rooms are clean. Toilet and bathroom room is also clean. You would, however, request for a floor towel because they dont proactively leave one and with how the bathroom was setup, you would need one. Else it will be slippery when someone use the shower.No breakfast included.I love their lobby, its a place where I could open my laptop and work a little.

Pros- dorm beds were comfortable, lots of nice features, and the AC is always on- the bathroom are super clean so are the common areas- the staff are friendly- good locationCons- lift was very slow- outside food is not allowed which is very stupid but you can bring it anyway and the staff wont say a thing

Amongst all the hostels I’ve tried in the Philippines, this is the best experience so far in terms of facilities of a hostel. And more importantly, the rooms and neat and clean. The staff were quick to help travelers too!Many thanks to the lady at the reception for helping me print my flight documents and to the bartender at the roofdeck for making a great White Russian 🥃Will post photos later!

Accessible, great location in Makati. Great value for money. Room is well-lit and ventilated. Tasteful aesthetics. Beds are firm, clean and sleep magnets. Restroom has the standard fixtures with centralized hot water. Key card is a plus for convenience and limited access to other levels. Restaurant at the penthouse has an airy and classy vibe. Breakfast was delicious and in ample servings. Most of all, the staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. Highly recommended 👌 👍

Stay here for at least 10 days...more than qualify to review this place with details observed..First I would like to say the rooftop restaurants food is very good, and the views is breathtaking. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly to me, and try to make the requested food available even though there is no available ingredients. The rooftop restaurant is a must try place if you are here.Secondly, if you are on business trip, this place is good for that. The internet is outstanding stable, you can even watch movies and play games with no significant lagging.Thirdly, the bed room condition and the rest room is very clean, probably the best in makati area for such budget price.Lastly, the front office desk was friendly in the beginning, but as I stay longer they tend to neglect the long staying customers..also there ia misunderstanding between myseld and the front desk staff, since then they never talk to me. When I extend my stay one of the front office staff say to me" extend again??" I was like... isnt that even a good news??Overall rating, place is outstanding but front office staff can be improved by not judging customers. Every customers that spend their money is equally important, even when you have a problem with a guest, after resolved should talk to the customer like usual duty, do not treat customers like your neighborhood friends. They are not the same. My extended stay wasnt pleasant but because I am on a business trip I have limited choice.

If youre about to go on a Poblacion Food Trip, this is a good place to stay. They also offer food and has their own restaurant in the 13th floor. They also has a game room, a movie room and a place if you need to work by yourself or even as a team.The only downside to this is that the walls are somewhat thin? Because early in the morning we can hear shouting happy birthday from the other rooms/hallway? kinda disturbing if youre trying to get a good sleep

The level of service here is exceptional. My thanks & a shout out to Nicole, Glenn, Josh, Florence, Patricia, Diana, Krezia, Ely, Marlon, and others too numerous to mention, especially the kitchen staff who cook & deliver great meals. A special shout out to Josephine, who assisted me with getting a plane ticket, so I could continue my travels, and with my appointment for my PCR test. The next time I come to Manila, my wife said that we are staying here, at the Lub DMakati!!! They also an airport pick–up & drop–off service as well. The entire hotel staff goes above & beyond the call of duty, to take care of their guests. The staff is friendly, helpful, & supportive of each guest. Their prices for room service are reasonable, along with the price per room, & the airport service. It is a great deal for your wallet!!!

The only hotel I saw with a loft after browsing almost all the accredited hotels of BOQ. Accommodation is affordable in booking. com, as well as their airport transfer and full board meals but viands are simply common Filipino dishes. So I’m glad they have a restaurant that serves good food with a wide variety of choices. Room is clean and quite new, the only negative comment is the sheets are not totally clean. But still giving 5 stars for it compensates our overall stay. I would like to commend the hotel staff, from the guards to the frontdesk and those in the restaurant. Everyone is helpful, they always find ways right away. They have a solution the soonest you call them. Thank you.

Room looks ok. Staff is accommodating and courteous. However, I really won’t recommend it as a quarantine hotel.There were many small cockroaches. Wifi is only 4mbps. Only 1 bath towel was provided which you will use for 5 days. Do not expect room cleaning. You will do your own cleaning and change of linens. No rags were given to clean the floor; just those unlabelled disinfectants and cleaning solutions. No rugs were provided in the bathroom to step on after taking a shower. The corners and edges of the bathroom tiles look disgusting. I scrubbed them and left them cleaner than when I found them. Lol.Guests are not allowed to accept or have food delivered in the hotel. It is a bummer because the food in this hotel leaves so much to be desired. Too salty. No fruits with the breakfast meal. No coffee or tea.Groceries are allowed to delivered. So if you will still book in this hotel for your quarantine, buy fruits and other uncooked snacks.

The worst quarantine hotel I ever had!!! I DONT RECOMMEND this hotel to anybody!!!Ive been quarantined to a lot of hotel since pandemic and I promise that this hotel was the worst one from your personal belongings til before I checked out from them. There is no complementary coffee or any drinks once you arrived, You will only be required 1 small bottle of water per request per day. And most of all you are not allowed to order and received foods from the outside of the hotel. For those people who needs to be quarantined, check the hotel reviews first.

The worst quarantine I would say. When I arrived I saw the cup was so dirty. The towel looked like it has been around for decades. They only change body towel after 5 days! Not even a hand towel nor floor rug available! There were a lot of cockroaches creeping and youd hear them moving from the wall. There are no food choices. Water bottle was limited to one per meal! Thats not even the recommended glasses per day! Had to asked for more! Told the staff it was my birthday so I asked if at least I could have a little cupcake as treat but the front desk just told me they dont have any. No effort at all! She recommended their restaurant but they dont offer pastry. Im not making all these up, please dont choose this hotel!

My 10 days quarantine was easy and really good . Nice and clean room with really comfortable bed. Affordable food you can choose everyday. Friendly and accommodating staff. I will surely comeback for quarantine maybe or just for a regular stay when its open☺️😁

Spent 10days quarantine here on their Barkada Room. Very spacious, exactly what I wanted.There are plenty of channels on their tv to choose from.Perfectly warm shower, so refreshing.They got kettle too, perfect for my morning coffee.Food is just fine.A/C is greatWith mini fridge too, hair dryer, vault, hand wash soap, shampoo and shower gel.Reception is always available.But the wifi is not so good inside the room ☹️

Great place to stay. Nice big open workspace and nice cafe style restaurant. Rooftop is relaxing. Very clean and modern feel. Rooms seem to be newly renovated and feel clean. Staff is good. The only problem is the wifi in my room isnt strong. Frequently disconnects but the wifi is very strong in common areas. Also dont expect to get any drinks at their bar, they have no staffed bartender. There are so many stocked spirits with no bartender.

I stay in this hotel from August21-Sept 18,2020,for important personal matter.Size of room is good,Not satisfied in a room cleaning,by the way they take an action quickly.The aircon always dropping,even technician fix it,need really to check it up.Staying there in period of MECQ,quite hard.Cant find somewhere to transfer.Some staff are good & productive ,some rushing and some seriously work.😆😅Ive enjoy staying here,can reach everything what I need ,all walking distance.Guards are good to communicate.I miss the smile of all workers ,as like when I travel in thailand..Wish to see the other branch of Lüb d in thailand..Now need to be patience because of the pandemic..By the way thanks for the peace offering from the management!Im looking forward to stay with you again.😊Khub khon ka!

Booked their Barkada (FamilyRoom online for a cheaper price and upon arriving, we were amazed on how cozy the hostel feel even though we had a hard time parking our car because the parking here is on a "First come, First serve" basis.The rooms are clean, the bathroom is clean even their common bathrooms are clean. The employees here are very friendly and reliable. The bed is comfortable and all linens are clean and new, because we observed that when you will check out they will bring in new sets of sheets. You will also feel secured because only those who checked-in can access the floors above the lobbyOur room included a free breakfast for four, their restaurant is open from early in the morning until 11:30pm. Their food is delicious but I would like to recommend additional menu choices.They have a laundry room where you can do your laundry, just make sure you have the new 5 peso coins or you can ask for an exchange at the reception.Overall, Lub d is a good recommendation to others.

The staff were friendly, they let us chill in the chilling room because we were early (if you want to check in early, you pay 1/2 price of a days booking). The rooms were modern, well-designed, and spacious. Comfortable beds, plugs in every bunk bed, bed lamps and lockers provided as well. Bathroom needs major improvement though, drainage problems and water spilled out on the floor everywhere. They have a rooftop restaurant/bar, also really nice common and coworking space area.

Good prices for its location and its top facilities, clean and comfortable. The staff were courteous. I loved the lobby area where you could relax, and lots of co working spaces too, everything was great! However theres only 1 functioning elevator- so wait time is longer. If youre just 2 levels up- take stairs! and no outside food allowed ( their food is quite expensive so)

This is a really solid hostel. Private rooms are just as nice as most hotels. Staff are responsive and friendly. There are games and other fun things to do. It’s kinda far from the sightseeing parts of the city but the area it’s in seems to be surrounded by restaurants and bars and such if that’s your scene. I’d definitely stay here again.

Absolutely great value in a great location, very comfortable stylish rooms and it came with two water bottles. Clean bathroom very modern. Will definitely stay back here, it is almost the same quality as the other hotels that cost four times more. And it has a coworking space with super fast WiFi on the second floor.

The property exceeded my expectations. As soon as I entered my room I was amazed with how it was set up. Very cozy! The interiors are perfect. Couldnt find anything that I would change. The headboard has a built in USB port and universal power plug. The telly is a smart TV. Sheets smell good and warm. Lighting is great. It also has a general switch next to the headboard that turns off all the lights so you dont need to get up and switch them off one by one. Most importantly, standard of cleanliness is absolutely stunning! What I am not so pleased about is the uneven path from the road to the parking area and that there is no separate service lift. The staffs makes sure you dont feel uncomfortable though when you have to share the lift with them. All in all, staying here is really good value for money.

I am a solo traveler staying at this hostel in a mixed dorm room.Room: Clean and cozy. They provide you with a towel and a blanket. I liked the little locker near the bed where you can store your phone and other valuable items if need be. It even has a hole where you can slip the wire through in case you needed to charge your phone. The room also has a bigger locker for your luggage. I suggest BRINGING YOUR OWN LOCKS so you dont have to buy any if you wish to use the lockers. One little thing I wasnt fond of was the halfway curtain that I thought was supposed to give me some privacy. Perhaps theres a reason why they dont go through the entire length of the bed, but to me it was just a little annoying.Bathroom/washroom: Clean and well maintained. Each shower stall provides body soap and shampoo. Only downside was the very slow drainage system. When I showered my stall flooded even when I was pausing every now and then to kind of let the water drain first.Lobby/Cafe: Nice and calm ambiance. I spent some time just sitting there and writing in my journal. Very relaxing.Rooftop restaurant: Staff and service was great! Food was delicious! And the view was amazing (photo). No complaints 😄Staff: Very efficient and courteous. I had no problem with them whatsoever. Very friendly and approachable.

Was a little worried as it is labeled as ‘hostel’. We stayed in the 4 bed room and it’s lovely! The room is clean and simple but very comfortable. Level 2 of the building has board games, pool, skype room, lounging room, retro games, canteen, popcorn machine and plenty of seating spaces. Perfect for stay with friends and having chill fun. Prices are really affordable and the service are so friendly. Location is in the heart of Makati with plenty of food choices and just a few minutes away from red light district (interesting to explore). The only down side is that the walls are thin so it can get a little noisy at night when you’re going to bed. Overall was a really great stay!

Good level of cleanliness. Staff was very enthusiastic and keen to help. Facilities were all as per website description. It’s good they take security seriously and encourage you to put bag in the provided lockers however the lockers don’t go all the way to the floor leaving bags at risk of being cut from the bottom should someone really want to access your bag. There is probably a good reason for this design but also has its flaws.

One of the best hostels I have tried. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It was the price I paid for. Their reception are is totally a must-see with its hipster and colorful designs. If you are waiting for your room, their reception can entertain you with some games, karaoke, etc. They also some nice tables for work. And here’s the best thing about Lub’d, they have the best staff!! Really funny and accommodating people. Overall, it was a very excellent stay! ❤️

I tried both junior room and female dorm. For me, they are good and worth the money. If arriving before check in time, we can always leave the luggage at the hotel. Staffs are friendly and helpful, clean and stylish room, strategic location, affordable price, they have rooftop restaurant too on 13th floor but still on progress. Overall I had a pleasant experience staying here.
