Low Tatras National Park in Zvolen

Beautiful in each season of the year. I am posting a few pictures from Chopok - Ďumbier hike. It takes about 1,5-2 hours (one way). If you are lucky with the weather, you can expect some amazing views.

Beautiful nature especially during the summer. Good spot for hiking adventure. I love this place. Mind blowing views and sceneries.

A bit in a shade of its bigger brothers West and High Tatras, but I dont know why. Its a beautiful place. Just the main part is a bit bad: Chopok. The rest is unspoilt by human touch and is really amazing. Views are spectacular. And expect to either be alone on the trail or maybe stumble upon few people if you choose to not go to Chopok (which I only can recommend as a way to gain or loose elevation quicky).

Ďumbier - the highest point on Low Tatras . Beautifull on every seasons.

Beautiful, I would say maybe even more beautiful than High Tatras. Certainly less people here.

Best ski region in 200km circle

Amazing view (I could see the whole high tatra range). The "Go Pass" for non skiers allows up to top (via 2 cable cars down other side and all the way back). It cost €24, €2 refunded upon returning pass. There is a slightly cheaper option if you register every person (but because of queue lengths, weather conditions and group size decided quicker was best 😁)

Nature is beautiful but.... never ending story with timber harvesting, building new hotels...It is just as one wise man said "Slovakia is a beautiful country but enormously retarded state at the same time.

Slovakias natural beauty, really enjoyed the place, simply just beautiful.

Wow. Took the cable car to the top of Chopok. Thought I was going to take a walk, but this flatlander with gymshoes was not up to a long hike. Suggest hiking boots!

Low Tatras are amazing, but you need to be prepared to go up, or even walk along the top line. Be aware that weather can change very quickly from 30°C to below zero even in the summer days. When prepared, you can plan a several days trip along the top line and sleep in several shelter houses along the way.

beautiful, must visit place if you are anywhere near here. endless possibilities of hiking places, from beginner routes to expert expeditions. if you just have a couple of hours, would recommend just to go up with the cable systems for the view!

Unbelievable views. 18km of hiking from Dumbier to Chopok made me feel great. We have stopped for coffee at Chopok and made some lovely pictures.

Take a couple hours without any boring by riding bike and have fun in the amazing place here

The art of Slovakia! TATRAS! Want a beautiful trip in forest and mountains? The Low Tatras National Park offers you trails that you will enjoy the most. The little problem is that you need to come when the weather is good. When you have good weather you will remember the place forever. You will love it!

Just beautiful. I was walking from Telgart to Trangoška. Kind of exhausting sometimes, you suppose to have good knees to manage long descends, but reward worth it. Especially theres beautiful views of High Tatras along the way. If you want to sleep during your way, Andrejcova is amazing place to do so..

Beautiful hiking place in Slovakia

The best five day hike in Slovakia is the trail of Snp (Slovakia National Uprisinggoing through the whole Lower Tatras mountain range. Highly recommended. There are several mountain huts on the way where you can sleep in sleeping bag and get something to eat and drink. I would recommend following huts: Andrejcova, Ramža, Chata M. R. Stefanika and Ďurková.

Best Ski Area in Slovakia

Beautiful mountains which are around Turiec area in centre of Slovakia.

Beautiful nature and jasna ski resort is the best in Slovakia. During the summer good spot for easy hiking adventure. I love this place. Mind blowing views and sceneries.

Nice mountains though sun is rare there and I wish more ski slopes. Food on a slope is good and cheap but prices for ski passes almost same as in Austria. Anyway we had nice time and new experience.

Lovely national park. Good trails for one-day trips. Beware, some trails are closed October-June. Not that many amenities along the trails, do not expect to buy lunch at midpoint of the trek.

With the right weather it can be a really nice hike.

Going up the mountain a bit expensive but the view is great. Try to come earlier before the crowds

We were amazed by this park fullfilled with lot of miniaturs from whole Slovakia republic. All have their own description with lot of informations about them. There are also a rest places where you can eat or just sit down for a moment and enjoy a piece of peace in such beautifull nation. Dogs free.

Very nice region both in winter and summer. During cold winter times there are several ski regions. In the summer the region turns into a hicking and mountainbiking paradise. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants to be found in the wide region of the national park. If you’re looking for an affordable location for your next ski holidays, you should consider this region for sure.

Beautiful place! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to take a break in nature. I love the place! I agree with Albert Einstein when he said "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." Tatras is a wonderful place where you can find places to have for yourself for a while. Recommended!

Beautiful place in a heart of Slovakia. There is no need to travel to Swiss Alps, you can see everything right here. If you go all the way up to Chopok and hike, dress warmly, there might be 15C difference between lower elevations and a peak. Restaurant with panoramic view and patio at the top is standard quality. Very recommended place to visit.

Unique panorama views of Tatras and Liptov on one side and of Horehronie and Slovenské rudohorie on the other side. As a bonus Ďumbier and Chopok - highest and the second highest peak in Low Tatras.

Amazing mountain park, so many trails to conquer, so many places to visit. It is well maintained and all trails are properly marked and signed. I will always go back here with thrill and great expectations
