Loving Hut Archway in Kinkala
Description
Privilege
they used to allow dogs until a lunch time buffet eater complained and since then, hard to make the journey for take away from west london. before that, had been going to this place for so long (since 2004), even when it was peking palace.
MoreSo good 😍 best vegan Chinese I’ve ever had and the meat replacements we so realistic. Super inexpensive too. Will be back to try more!
MoreHome from home!We come here at least once a week, delicious fresh Chinese food, lovely service, extremely cheap too.I wish everyday were loving hut Tuesdays
MoreAmazing. Best vegan restaurant in the London area. A little bit overpriced (edit 2022: not any more as they havent really increased their prices at all in yearsand also youll be subjected to home videos of Ching Hai on the big screen telly but the fantastic service and food more than make up for it.
MoreGet what you pay for I guess. Staff are friendly enough but the food is...well, the food is what youd expect when your entire menu is based around things named after meats that arent actually meat.
MoreFavourite vegan Chinese place to eat. Prawns, beef, pork, chicken all vegan and a variety on the menu
MoreVery good lovely Chinese food, lovely rice. All cooked very nicely and all for everybody to eat. Very tasty and cooked from scratch with love. Very clean and fresh and great value for money.. Can highly recommend it.
MoreA large variety of vegan Asian food. Good value for money.
Ill never not love it here. Food is just top tier and the staff are always friendly and will talk you through the dishes.
MoreReally good vegan Chinese in North London, small and quick service. Issues Ive encountered are two different rice portions when ordering exactly the same thing, portion size differing between mains and paying £3.00 for 30 pieces of chips (all but 3 on plate shown)
MoreNot very authentic Chinese food. Im vegetarian and did not understand the need to replace meat with meat substitutes... concept didnt work for me.Too much lighting and felt more like a cafe than a restaurant.Did not appreciate having to watch the Yulin dog meat festival played on repeat on the TV mounted on the wall.
MoreFood is good but the service is terrible. Staff is terribly slow and they barely can speak English. Would go there more often and recommend this place if they would improve this.
MoreDelicious food!! My favourite place in London.
We couldn’t have chosen a better vegan restaurant to go for dinner tonight. We had a great surprise. Not just the prices are very reasonable but the quality of the food is amazing, such a good presentation and taste is so worth it.Want to mention the place was absolutely clean and the customer service was impeccable. Lovely people working there.Thank you so much, we’ll definitely come back again soon.
MoreAmazing food, absolutely delicious, great size portions and its cheap! Amazing little vegan place in archway, a hidden gem for sure!
MoreBetween my housemates, we have now got loving hut three times since Jan 2022 and we just love it! Each dish is perfect and portions are so generous and fair priced. Fav dishes were salt and pepper chicken, satay chicken and crispy beef.
MoreI am a vegan. This is my favourite restaurant! The food is always good quality and tasty and presentation of food is great and staff are courteous and friendly. I would very highly recommend this place to anyone!
MoreIm not a vegetarian but I love this restaurant. The food is well flavoured and allows me to indulge in a Chinese 🙂 restaurant is small enough for food to be freshly cooked and piping hot when it arrives.
MoreThe food was amazing with great service. The portions are perfect and the staff are so sweet. I definitely am coming back and highly recommend this place to vegan and vegetarian friends
MoreThis place was incredible! We ordered 7 dishes and all of them were delicious and left us full. The prices are very reasonable and the staff were so friendly. The atmosphere was very cosy and peaceful, as you’d expect from a small restaurant, so perfect if you want good food without too much noise.
MoreThe best fully vegan/plant based Chinese Restaurant in Holloway/Archway area! I’ve been looking for one for months. Finally found one! Affordable, clean and really tasty food.
MoreUnfortunately we were so hungry when we arrived that we started eating before we remembered to take the picture. We ordered the crispy chilli vegan beef, vegan satay, fragrant rice and salt and chilli vegan ribs. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! I only wish I had ordered a vegetable dish as well.
MoreReally great place if youre vegan or have vegan friends. The range and quality of fake meats was impressive! Id never eaten a fake prawn before!
MoreSuch incredible food coming out of a small, unassuming restaurant! Ive always walked past this restaurant, even back when I was a kid like 20 years ago, and never thought too much of it - but I regret that! I cant describe how genuinely tasty and filling the food in Loving Hut is, its no wonder theyve been where they have for so long. You could easily fool even the hardiest of meat eaters here with Loving Huts fresh, tasty, and delightful food. The food comes out super quick, and is so cheap for the portion size you get. Highly recommended!
MoreMy favourite go-to local restaurant for the past 20 years or so when it was still called Peking Palace. I don’t live as close as I used to but try and visit whenever I can. My now grown up son was a wee baby when we became regulars, mainly for the lunch buffet but also dinners and delivery/takeaway. The lovely owner always looks after us 🙏🏻 menu not as extensive as it used to be, might be temporary due to COVID… always nice food though!
MoreIts a great restaurant, been going there for a long time and quality is still good and tasty. Recommend it to everyone!
MoreLovely, delicious, hearty food - great portion sizes!. We ordered a variety of dishes, all came fresh, presented nicely and very tasty. Restaurant is clean and inviting - got busy throughout our stay (Friday nightbut staff were friendly and attentive, checking on us frequently to ask if everything was ok. We left feeling very satisfied with the food and service - will definitely be visiting again!
MoreHave wanted to try this place for a while - they were shut over the pandemic. Although it says closed on their site and Google they’re open Thurs - Sunday. Called and a nice lady gave me some suggestions based on what I like. Food ready in 15mins and was delicious. Can’t wait to try their “duck” and “spare ribs”
MoreIve been eating here regularly for 18 years and love it.Clean, wholesome, delicious vegan food, cooked and served with love by Lin and her family.Highly recommend.
MoreThis place is amazing. There are not many fully vegan chinese restaurants, so this place is a real treat. I oredered the sesame toast, the mock duck pancakes and the special noodles. They were all amazing, I cant wait to order from here again
MoreBest vegan Chinese food in London! This is one of my favourite restaurants in the whole of London and I’m not even vegan! Some of the mock meats are better than others but the dishes are delicious! SUCH a hidden gem, I’m happy as soon as I walk through the door 😊
MoreI have visited the Loving Hut chain in many different countries and always loved it! Really sad that Archway has been closed since March now, their food is very yummy and reasonably priced. It is nothing healthy so not something I would want to eat every day, but every time I go there, I LOVE every moment of it. The portions are generous as well. The only problem we have had, was language barrier as we were once wrongly accused of not paying the bill, because the waitress could not really speak much English - so this was a rather embarrassing experience -- but still doesnt change the fact that I am a loyal and happy customer and would highly recommend this place to all vegans AND non vegans alike.
MoreI love this place. Right now, I think it’s the best place to get vegan Chinese food in London. I always love coming here, and it’s one of the restaurants in London I go to the most. I can’t wait for them to reopen. Try they vegan Chili fried beef, it’s amazing. I only wish they would do delivery. I can’t wait for them to open again!
MoreOne of the best places for food in London! Huge vegan menu, very good prices, big portions and delicious dishes! We go regularly with friends and family! and even our non vegan friends love it! Totally recommend to try 😊😊
MoreMy first time trying a Vegan place. The sauces all tasted authentic. Good quality vegetables used and did not feel greasy. The meat substitute tasted great in the chicken balls and satay chicken, but not so great in the chilli beef dish or prawn toast dish. But maybe this os me just getting used to eating meat substitutes. Nothing was bad. I would visit again. Good portion sizes and good value.
MoreSo rare to find a Chinese restaurant that is vegan! The food was absolutely amazing, the special fried noodles with mock beef, lamb and prawns - incredible, but dont come here expecting comfort or quick service. We had to wait a while for our dishes which arrived in no particular order, with no hot plates and so went cold really quickly. The restaurant itself is a bit messy and not very well laid out. It was draughty and cold and the lights were far too bright! As long as you prepare yourself for these disappointments and focus on the food - youll be happy. Its such a shame though because it could so easily be five star, but it just falls down on ambience and service, with maybe too much reliance on Just Eat income.
MoreCooked so well, we ordered a second round of food. Excellent chefs. Will definitely come again.
MoreOn the rare occasion I come here, Im always surprised. Everything about here is brilliant. £7.50 for an all you can eat vegan buffet is a life saver. The chickpea curry is mind-blowing and I often find myself craving it in my free time. The staff are always very polite. Worth the journey!
MoreAs far as the food is concerned, its the best vegan high street Chinese food Ive ever eaten. It tastes exactly like the non Vegan counterpart including the noodles, rice and fake duck. It is however still a high street shop so expect the usual that comes with that. Very loud and crowded seating. The plates and dishes the food is served on are way too big for the tables youre on, and the waitresses can be a bit on edge when theyre busy, however that food is stunning. Definitely recommend.
MoreThe food was nice lots of options. The sesame toast was my favourite. Service was slow with taking our orders but the food came out fast. I didnt feel like the hygiene was of a super high standard and that could be improved but overall its a nice spot for vegan food.
MoreRelax, EAt, share, waiting time wasnt long, colour full ,good portion size great place to chill the only bad point is the kebab shop across the road this is a meat free zone also doing smoothies ice cream and nice list of deserts.
MoreAs a vegan I absolutely loved this place. I couldnt believe how delicious the dishes were. Very often vegan restaurants trade actual taste and substance to make it looks more like the real item but this place looked and tasted like the original dish to the point where its nearly suspicious. The place got hectic at peak times in. The evening with people waiting for tables and service a little slow but the food was well worth it. Ill definitely be returning.
MoreAbsolutely incredible vegan food at great prices.
Really good food, definitely worth the price. Dont overfill the box though or you will be charged!
MoreCan honestly say one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to! Lovely staff and amazing food!
MoreNo msg, great mock meat dishes. The crispy duck pancakes are just fab. Always enjoy all the food here to be honest, amazing value and tasty fresh juices too.Come for the lunch buffet if you can. On a week day its a mere £7.50 and full of great choices.Happy vegan customer right here.
MoreThe best vegan Chinese restaurant. They have so much variety. You will be stuck for choice!! The sale and pepper soy chicken is delicious. They have vegan fish and chips! They have so many noodle dishes and lots of tofu and fake chicken drumsticks! The milkshakes are amazing and the chocolate cake is the BEST! Really yummy place and definitely worth adding it to your vegan list!
MoreLoved the food. First time we can eat all items menu. Definitely will come again!!
Morereally amazing vegan and vegetarian foodgreat friendly atmospherethe food was really something different and delicious... had the set menu 2
MoreI ate at Loving Hut last night. I am vegan so not used to going into a restaurant with such extensive choice. It was wonderful, the food was delicious. Most of the staff were nice. One woman was very grumpy. But overall it was a great experience and I shall definitely return with friends and family.
