We came quote late and theyd run out of food do cooked us delicious fresh lentils. The hot sauce was fresh and very tasty. Lovely owners. We enjoyed playing Guitar and singing with them. Overall great food, great experience.

Amazing homecooked food with a carribbean twist, to eat-in in a tiny colorful space. Like at grandmas, but in tropics :OR to order for delivery. The Main dish was a platter of 7 mixed foods (large £15 eat-in). The mushroom burger (£4and sweet potato patty (£4are an absolute must-try!! Theres also a nice selection of cold drinks, we had Seamoss (£5 each), highly recommended Spirulina one. The staff was very lovely, welcoming and attending. Food was served quite quickly too. Definitely will be returning for more! 5*

Not only my taste buds were satisfied but so was my soul , as soon as you enter the doors of love gift you are hit with a wave of positive energy and vibes. being welcomed with live music smiles and the smell of food made with love is the best feeling ever. It’s such a safe environment to be yourself and surround yourself with good people , I just wish the macaroni cheese was an everyday thing 😩 I’ve gotta get that recipe 😂 . Discovered this little gem today, so so glad we went. Not only do they have delicious and nutritious vegan food drinks and deserts, the staff are some of the lovliest people You could meet. My 6 yo daughter was made to feel so welcome and really enjoyed her visit. Ended up having an impromptu jam with some musicians who are apparently there every Sunday. Amazing vibes and community spirit. Will defo return

Fabulous food! My husband is vegan, Im not but we both love the food here. The service is great and everyone is very friendly. I live quite far from here but will make the journey. I highly recommend it.

Friendly laid back cafe, but the food!!! We had the rainbow platter and everything on it was totally delish!!! The food had an integrity that is often missing from vegan meals which can sometimes taste like poor substitutes. At Lovegift vegan, the food tasted like it was always meant to be vegan and had a complexity and depth that was really unexpected. Excellent, healthy and delicious grub.

This place is a gem! The staff is absolutely wonderful and welcoming and the food is delicious. There is loads to choose from and lovely desserts too! Very warm and kind atmosphere! Looking forward to more visits, thank you so much :)

If like me you are new to Vegan food you are in for a very pleasant surprise. I am not vegan not even vegetarian and couldn’t understand how anyone could cook and produce meals without using basic animal proteins. But this wonderful Restaurant has completely changed my mind. Apart from the tastiest food there is a wonderful atmosphere as you enter. The staff were informative and most obliging. Asking questions about the huge menu they suggested we have a plate that included samples of all the menu. We agreed and enjoyed every item which will make choosing from the Menu in future easy. They also do take away menus. I fully recommend them, why don’t you try them.

The food is tasty and fresh, but last time I went ordered the large rainbow platter and it’s not what it used to be: half quinoa, half dhal with some noodles and 1/4 baked potato??Can’t see much rainbow in here! Very pale(Also comes with half a wrap and tiny lettuce salad)I miss the days where you had proper options: kale, stews, curries, dumplings!Old menu back please!

Visited just over a week ago and had a fantastic meal. Loved the small or large plate set menu (You still get to slightly tailor your meal; quinoa/rice or and chickpea/lentil choice on the day we visited.Plantain was lovely and my partner was converted to kale...it was so well done! Lovely service and great atmosphere.

Went Saturday 8 May 2021 at 14:30 but you were closed - despite Google times showing you are open. Not a great business plan to win over new customers. Update your hours so people can give you a chance!

Some of the tastiest vegan food Ive ever had. Similar concept to Eat of Eden up the road with the platters, but this was tastier for me. Will definitely be coming back when Im in the area.

I recently visited lovegift for the first time on Sunday and have been back already today! The food is amazing, full of flavour and goodness, I got the mixed box and everything tasted great. The lady and guy who served me are super friendly and so hospitable, the restaurant had such a good vibe, look forward to visiting when its fully open!

Had the rainbow platter, sorrell and ginger drink and roly-poly with custard. A really welcoming vibe with a wholesome, home made feel to the food.Really tasty- very much looking forward to returning! Thanks for a nice evening and sorry we stayed later than your closing time!

I walked past and picked up the large rainbow platter with quinoa and a sorrel & ginger drink. Lovely flavours and healthy vegan options. Maybe the portion size was a little smaller than expected as it was the large (£12). Other than that top marks and will return soon :)

What a beautiful gem! Theres plenty of food not only for your stomach but also for your heart.The food is fantastic and the staff make you feel welcome and at home.

Came with friends less than an hour before Lovegift Vegan closed. Because of that there wasnt much left but They made us amazing plates with what they had.Delicious food, homey vibes and people that give this place a soul. We finish the meal with my friend singing to the drums played by one of people working there. What a magical end of the day...Definitely coming back!

You can really taste the love infused in the food. All the dishes prepared, cooked, and served with a great deal of care. The ambience and happy welcoming vibes were potent. This is more than just a restaurant its like a healing space/sanctuary. I feel like Im giving myself a gift when I go there.

Very friendly staff and a lovely vibe.Owner was there and two members of staff.Vibes was cool because when I entered shop a male member of staff was playing guitar along to music playing in background whilst the other male staff greeted me and my friend with a smile as a matter of fact they all did as we entered the restaurant.We took a seat food ordered.when we was served our food the other staff joined the staff playing his guitar and he played little drum beating to the rhyme of background music and guiter and even sang a little song quietly about the rain which was falling outside.It made me feel like I was somewhere else other than lewisham borough like shoreditch or cosmopolitan Brixton where they have a fusion of different restaurants around the world and hearing smooth ,Chilled vibe music like in New York or Atlanta...it was such a lovely atmosphere and a pleasure to hear them jamming.Tuesday they do this usually in the week. My friend was very impressed with the whole experience. Its a simple place ,friendly and warm staff greeting with a big smile.Its been my 3rd time and each visit my experience has been really lovely and I think it is a cool place.felt so relaxed coming out of there .This little Diamond is tucked away albeit on Lee high road top end near sainsburys its away from hustle and bustle. This is my place to go for sure and look forward to hearing guitar quietly strumming away and a little hand held drum..The staff are mixed from different cultures and they have a beautiful energy,rapor with the owner who is a very friendly gentle natured ,warm lady, she really is! Lovely healthy and filling vegan food and friendly people

Decent enough vegan food, great value for the portions, especially the savory biscuits. I could have a few more of those. Also very good mix of types of vegan food. But not dog friendly which is ridiculous. So won’t be returning and would advise my fellow veggies to also turn away.

5 stars straight up ! Easy to park the car in the afternoon. Got in and had huge smile receiving us and a staff playing guitar! huge !That Rainbow plate was devoured by me and my 2yrs old Baby! The cakes with ice-cream were very tasty! Staff from Brazil/Africa/Caribbean - Great to see different cultures working together. I appreciate the service, the simple is the best !

My new favourite place! The food is superb, even for a meat-eater like myself! And the place has such a nice vibe, a real community spirit. I highly recommend this place for vegans and non-vegans alike.

absolutely delicious vegan, homemade, plant based, food, with an ever changing menu, full of spicys and surprises, inspired to show the community that its possible to have a healthy and cruelty free diet.you can get the small rainbow platter for £8 or the large one for £12.lots of fresh juices and green coconut (that you can drink the water and then eat the sweet coconut jelly inside thats even better than the water!!)the food is afro-caribbean like, and plant based and they hold a space with books to borrow, and have entertainment with some jam sessions and art exposed over the placehighly recommend this hidden vegan jewel in south east london

Went for a Bornday celebration....and was not disappointed. As you enter you feel the oh so relaxing ambience. The tables are close so you best go with someone you want to converse with😄....it all adds to the atmosphere. I had the mixed food platter... Simply Delicious! my only tiny gripe.....please please can there be a bit more PLANTAINS😊😁😋😋😋My drink of choice was coconut water from an actual coconut....none of the fake stuff you buy from the supermarkets - Kudos!!!Staff are very attentive and Earth Mother Maya Matanah welcomes you with open arms....you dont want to leave....Highly Recommended!

Went for my birthday and so glad my friends chose here for me to celebrate. Great services and prices and food quality. Can not wait to go back again to try more of their tasty creations!

Staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is real, good, home cooked food. The platter portions are just enough, so that you can try everything. The display of art, crystals and books is a lovely touch too.

Well, the place is really cosy, nice lounge reggae music background and roots decoration. The attendant is polite and pleasant. I loved the black culture there. However, the food is not that impressive (something you could do better at home). It is not fresh. It is microwaved. Therefore, the place should be considered a cafè and not a restaurant. I got a "rainbow plate" with the "large" option, but it was smaller than any average portion I have seen and costs £12. Plus it all, the "macaroni" was a bit musty. So, it is not worthy. Furthermore, I was looking for a job in a vegan environment and contacted the place. The manager me tsaid askedshe was looking for staff and asked to send my CV and pop-up any time at my preference. So I sent the CV the same day and went there the following day. She did not reply me. She was in the "restaurant" and made an excuse for not seeing me and told the attendant that would contact me later. Never contacted by phone or email. It was the most impolite experience. So, even though the idea and the place are nice, the food and the management are sadly questionable.

Good food and vegan vibe. Discovered Lovegift Vegan almost by accident. I strongly recommend their dal and vegetable curry. The staff were more than friendly and took time to walk me through the venue. They also do an excellent Pineapple Crumble.Would love to see them host events in the space which is a decent size. They already have a small selection of books on offer

The rainbow platter was really tasty, such an interesting combination of flavours and the crumble was perfection. Wish we lived closer so that we could visit regularly.

The food is brilliant. I think the idea of having a platter where you can try a little bit of everything is a great idea. Itd be 5 out of 5, if they could improve on portions- my large platter looked the same size as my familys regular platters. Lovely Staff in an intimate family run café.

I came with my sister to try our first vegan eat in & we were not disappointed.The food was delicious and the desserts are amazing, the atmosphere and staff are exceptional.We even got a takeaway for later it was that good, we will definitely be coming back. 10🌟 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Staff are friendly enough. Burger tasted great (theres 1 star), shame it was so small, no side dish/chips/anything! And served In a BBQ type bun. Ginger beer was great, highly recommend... Plenty of spice (another star). Coffee was.....instant coffee! Only 2 things on the menu. And payment was cash or "bank transfer".Early days for this place, looking fwd to seeing some improvements, better range and all in all better offerings all round. Theres clearly local interest here, but its likely to die without the improvements

I come here so often, i may as well live here. I love the environment and the food is divine, Im never hesitant to try something new on the menu or on the day because i know itll be just as delicious as the last meal i had there and im never wrong in that aspect. This is a wonderful treasure that Im so happy to have found. The food is fantastic and the people working there couldnt be more terrific. They treat everyone that walks in the door like family. I cant wait to come back to London just to go there! Now I just need a Lovegift cookbook in my life.

Wasnt wowed by the food, but I cant criticize too much because they are doing such a great thing by providing plant-based cuisine to the community. Just wish it was something more innovative. Seemed to be things I could easily make at home. However, if it wasnt as pricey, Id go back as a regular just out of convenience.
