All-day menu served in a large neighbourhood cafe-bar with reclaimed furniture and vintage photos.
usually have lounge eggs but went for veggie breakfast, came out warm with what looked like tinned mushrooms that were awful, almost raw cacbbage on the side with a over cook fried egg , to be honest very poor breakfast, compared to the Malago veggie breakfast up the road a non starter .
Good house burger, friendly attentive service. Usual lounge chilled atmosphere
Excellent service. First lot of food had become cold as a door was open by the kitchen. However, they were excellent in replacing (fab foodand nothing was too much trouble. Kudos for handling this so well that we will return.
Great food . The pancakes are really good . Staff are great .
The original lounge. The best and nicest vibe aswell. Amazing vegan and veggie options. Great drinks and good service.
Great staff and beautifully cooked food nice interior.
Visited midweek, early evening. Served our party of 11, food was of expected standard and service very good. These restaurants are family friendly and always happy to cater for large or small parties.
Lovely and friendly, clean and tidy. Electic and chilled little place, staff were happy and really helpful :)
Awesome place! Lovely food and drinks, and the manager Josh was great! Highly recommend!
A nice cafe with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. Everything was great apart from the milkshakes. They could do with being thicker and a little colder. Plenty of space so we were able to walk in and get a table even at a busy time.
Normally very nice food. This time the chef couldnt manage a poached egg. Hard boiled. Hollandaise was also terrible
Very pleased with meals and beverages. Great staff ( English and Welsh), helpful and courteous and made the day for a 92yro celebrating her birthday. Will definitely use again.
Higly recommend watermelon iced tea! Delicious and perfect for hot days! Really nice staff, very welcoming and gentleman with beard and glasses is very nice and he helped us with our order. Yummy breakfast. Worth visit :Thank you!
Friendly, fast service. Accommodating and polite. Food had a good variety/selection to suit varied tastes - our family of four (adults and 15 & 12 year oldseach found something we liked.
Very poor experience. The chap who seated us was friendly and found us a table quickly, which was a lovely start. He told us we could use the QR code to order from our table, which we tried. Both my partner and I were unable to proceed to pay through the web page after spending 10 mins trying to navigate it. I took my order to the counter and the chap agreed we should be able to pay "but its not working on this screen". Instead, we ordered at the counter, during which I heard another customer being told it was a 25-30 minute wait for food. I wasnt told this - I had to overhear it. When I got back to the table the cutlery was being placed - both knives were dirty with crusted food. At this point we decided to leave, so I asked for a refund, but instead of refunding my card, he charged me a second time. Was told it will take up to a week for the refund to arrive, despite both charges having left my account before we even left the Lounge. Glad we found somewhere else on North Street - we wont be back. We didnt experience the food or drink but it looked nice enough.
Delicious food, Gluten free burger was great tasting, definitely worth going back for, I kniw their gluten meals are to die for because iet wouldnt stop being repeated to me 😂 also for the quality of the food and where its situated, it has really good pricing, so yourself a solid and go grab something, you wont be disappointed.Big compliments to the chef. And also all the staff were Really nice too
Decent. Friendly staff. Food was pretty good. Will happily return.Great for an afternoon lunch and beer.
Waited a few minutes to be seated because it was busy.nice window table.drinks order pretty quick and food 20 minutes or so.all cooked to order and very very tasty.all staff we met were very friendly and personable.lots of competition in the area but the staff and menu allowed this place stand out
Consistent menu here. The drinks and service are very good. The food is ok but they do have a reasonable variety of options including vegie and vegan and kids options.
Great food at a really good price. Ordering through qr code was new to me, but it was much easier than I thought it would be, and I guess its a lot less hassle for the staff. Will definitely come again next time Im in Bristol
I was so pleased we managed to have breakfast here before we left Bristol. The food was so delicious and the staff very friendly.I especially loved my mango drink! It was so tasty and refreshing. Some of the items in the meal I ordered were unavailable but they kindly let me choose something else as a substitute with no extra costs.
Had a diet coke from a pump from here before driving to Heathrow for a holiday to Dubai. The coke tasted very strange, almost like red bull. I ended up having severe bacteria poisoning and it ruined my holiday to Dubai. I complained to the manager, and gave a full run down of what happened and to basically tell them to stop serving the drinks until its checked - my number then got blocked and I never heard a thing. Never drink the drinks from the pumps - its not clean.
Always enjoy eating at any of The Lounge establishments. Tewkesbury, Cirencester, Rustington, WSM and previously here at Bristol. But we went today (19/5/22at just about midday. Stood inside the door for a while by the ‘wait here’ board and it was suggested by another customer to just go and find a table. It was not busy and we met a guy who was around the corner. Seated ourselves and ordered breakfast and coffee at the counter. A few minutes later a young female came to the table and put down cutlery, no hello, smile or anything. The coffee arrived, this time delivered by a young male. After a while longer “two breakfasts” the disinterested female announced as she approached the table. “D’ya want any sauces?” Hubby asked for red and brown and these were then brought to the table.I am not a huge fan of uncooked bacon fat, barely warm mushrooms or overheated baked beans that are stuck to the pot that they are served in. I would have gladly told the disinterested female or the male had either returned to do a check back.As I said, it was quiet but neither of the staff seemed in a hurry to clean nearby vacated tables either. Perhaps neither wanted to be there? We got up to leave and walked past the till/counter area, the male server clearly saw us as we walked past but there was absolutely no attempt to acknowledge our departure. When we got outside we both said to each other that it was the first time we had visited ANY Lounge and made to feel unwelcome. We now have no inclination to return. So much difference to our visit to WSM on Tuesday where the staff were friendly, smiling and the food (lounge breakfast againwas perfectly cooked.
The staff were extremely attentive, I visited with my sister and we enjoyed our time there. Great food with a brilliant atmosphere. Waiter was very friendly. Will be coming back
Very nice food friendly staff always make you feel welcome very relaxed vibe
The best place to get gluten free and Finn brought all of our orders out with a spring in his step and a smile every time
had the breakfast quality ingredients. but would have been far better if it was hot and not luke warm service was indifferent as if they had asked if everything was ok we would have said food was luke warm and maybe resolved
Always a good atmosphere, staff are great, really like the food, and good to hide away with a pint and sketchbook or enjoy with the family for some grub. Whats not to love.
Went for lunch with a few friends and had a great time. Really good choice of food which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great. Will definitely be returning.
Ok busy, chabby chic with the reclaimed furniture. Too many singles on a table of 4, which we wanted. Food was good ,tasty and the drinks reasonable. Order at the counter for service to a no table. Very friendly staff.
Nice and cosy setting. App ordering and table service is perfect. Great diner style food and a nice selection of beers. Also very attentive staff with regards to providing for a couple of new parents with a baby in tow
You said Immie and Zoe always very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The create a lovely atmosphere and help to make me feel very at home when I come in. They work incredibly hard and are a credit to The Lounge
Good food, good atmosphere and a very nice staff team who were very attentive to our particular needs.
I have lost count of the amount of times I have visited this place. It’s a Bristol staple and always provides good food and atmosphere.Highly recommend the breakfasts (Vegan and veggie options also), and the main menu to boot!Revisited again today (10/03/22had the vegan sausage sandwich with hash browns, coleslaw and chips. Wonderful as ever! This place never fails 😍
Nice place, good food, friendly staff.Had a lovely impromptu dinner with wife and boy, everybody happy!
This is the first time in while Ive used this particular Lounge, my favourite, Banco Lounge was closed a little while ago unfortunately (reasons unknownand Im afraid on my visit the volume of noise within the premises made conversation very difficult indeed and although we had planned to eat there, we quickly decided wed go elsewhere. The noise was due to two factors poor parenting, children allowed to shriek and act like they were in an outdoor space and too many covers to close together. Unfortunately to combat the noise of others everyone raises there volume too. More space, less tables and staff trained and supported to ask customers to behave appropriately in the space would improve things massively.
Lovely coffee restaurant. Delicious tea cake with butter and jam
I visited the lounge for brunch last week I am a regular customer and have been for many years. Always a safe bet, so I thought I would take my sister, who was visiting from out of town. We were greeted by a lovely girl, very attentive and informative. We ordered a lounge breakfast. I have had many a breakfast before, theyve always been standard. Unfortunately this day it was below standard. Firstly, it was cold and the quality of the meat was not so good. Ive never been a fan of tinned mushrooms, and being dressed up with chopped coriander is rather odd on a breakfast I think. Such a strong flavour.Anyway, my question is.. What happened? Somewhere that used to my ‘go to’ will sadly be my ‘if we have to’ for a breakfast anyway.I love the bar, the decor, And the staff were great. I did express my complaint at the time, and was offered something else or a drink in way of compensation. But this is just feedback. :)
Out with my dearest friend and our daughters age 1 and 3 and popped in for some lunch yesterday. Warm and friendly atmosphere, quick service and delicious food (that even my fussy eater cleaned her plate). Went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and will definitely be returning.
We came from out of the town to visit family and came across this cute cafe that seemed to be beaming with customers. After 6 mins wait we were seated and served by the lovely wait staff. Celeste was sweet, engaging and immediately knew that we wouldn’t be eating from the meat section, but was polite about it. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The food was really good, the pancakes were fluffy and they gave us extra maple sauce without charge. The curry was amazing! And the shakshuka and veggie breakfast were really filling. Bonus points for the cappuccino, one of the best I have had. If we were to visit Bristol again, I would definitely stop by here again and recommend to others as well. Great staff they have which makes the experience even more memorable.
Not been here for a while, thought wed try it again. Same pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, though the ordering via the app is a faff but theyre happy to take the order at the counter. Brunch was very pleasant, well prepared and generous with a large selection to choose from. The only downside was a lot of mothers and their noisy children which is okay but makes for a less than relaxing brunch for us. Reasonable prices and pleasing environment makes for a good place to visit once in a while when were in the area.
Will not return. Long wait, cold breakfast that didnt taste great either! Service sucks. Id expect a lot more for the money but has delivered lower than expectations.Shame as nice Decor but I would recommend you go somewhere else on this strip
We came in morning and grabbed a brunch:I picked the pancakes w/ bacons, and he picked the Lounge Breakfast!! All the food were really nice, as well as our coffee, and we were super full with this brunch! 👦🏻 loved his bread and sausage in the breakfast. The pancake was come with maple syrup (the best syrup in my mind🥰 Love this lovely place with all the vintage deco and super friendly staff!!
Came here for a few drinks after the Bears v Bath game. A really great atmosphere and feel here. Plenty of drinks on offer but as it was 10pm when we got there the kitchen had shut. The staff were really friendly and we all had a great time. Im definitely keen to return and try something from the food menu.
Such a good range of food including gluten free. Tasty, reasonably priced and great coffee. Staff were friendly, the place was clean and we werent rushed at all. And I want judged for eating everything (save for by the very attentive portraits all over the walls!).
Excellent brunch, friendly staff, prompt ordering (can now use app, also, but cannot get the Lounge breakfast and tea deal through it). Food does take time to come out, but lovely when arrives.
A very nice place on North Street. I had a good americano there and a fish cake. I was very pleased with the service and food was great too. The only drawback is that it could be slightly cheaper, still it is not that pricy for a place of this standard. They have a nice selection of beers too.
Busy place with great coffee and good drinks selection. Its dog friendly so gets a thumbs up from me. Can get very noisy and when its really busy theres a bit of a wait but the food is nice, although some menu options a bit over priced. £8.95 for the Lounge Eggs with smoked salmon was a bit steep considering how little smoked salmon there was. Glad I got the avocado extra but that cost £1.95!! The full English and chorizo hash are better value. Anyway, nice place, friendly staff and decent atmosphere.
This is definitely the place to go in Bristol! From their breakfasts to their lunches and dinners the quality is amazing. The service received is also out of the ordinary and the friendliness of the place makes you feel at home.Very well done to the management team and specially all the staff as The Lounge would not be the same without them.Thank you for being a part of us!!
Had a jackfruit burger which tasted like a bean burger. Having had jackfruit burgers elsewhere this was definitely not one that I will be recommending. Houseslaw was a joke - bad joke- really bitter and sour joke. The sweet potato fries were actually really nice but portion size was the issue. At 3.50 one would expect more than a handful of fries. Otherwise venue itself is relaxed but nothing to rave on about. Sorry wont be returning any time soon. Shame as has the potential to be so much better.
