Lotus River Chinese Smorgasbord Take Away in Dalby

Terrible meal, almost three quarters of the container was onion and when I complained I was told that it is normal. I have had plenty of Chinese meals and apparently havent had a normal one in the past including from these people. Absolutely would avoid this place in future.

DELICIOUS! ! Dropped in and ordered some take away and was not disappointed. The food is fresh cooked, piping hot, large serves, we had enough left over for lunch the next day. we had small prawn chow mein which was loaded with prawns and the crispy fried noodles were very fresh, satay beef with Hokkein noodles, spring rolls and special fried rice…all cooked to perfection! I wish I lived local as this would be my favourite Chinese restaurant!

Meals were ok, except for the long black hair that was found in my meal, halfway through me eating it. The staff didnt react to this problem. Not even a sorry.

Ask for honey sesame chicken was given battered un eatable chicken was very tough and seamed microwaved when told was fresh wouldnt feed it to a dog if had one. was very dissatisfied with the product that cost $12:90 I would been better eating the plastic container would not recommend the place

food was good and service was excellent and variety and the value of price of good.Rockhampton All u can has more variety like 10-15 dishes morejust a suggestion, i went on a hot day and inside a little desk fan was being used and not Air Condition unit.second which is bit unexpected....while i was eating the owners children were playing soccer behind my table.as there were 4 tables...and i was eating alone..in any other restaurants i dont have owners children aged about 10 .years old..playing soccer with each other..2-3 kids..maybe it is cultural difference..but small restaurant with 3-4 tables only andowners children running around in 30+ heat..maybe i m sensitivedefinitely great value just not soccer inside the restaurants...

Best Chinese in QLD easily ! I have been coming here since opening in Dalby, I now live 2.5 hours away and frequently drive over for a meal and also take a few containers home for the freezer.Food is always great, tasty and generous servings.

Absolutely awful got a full container of chopped onions and one slice of carrot in a serving of beef and black sauce, in saying that I only knew it was supposed to be black bean flavour because I had ordered it otherwise I would of thought I had ordered a serving of chopped onions in watered down bean sauce 😲🤢🤮

I ordred 2 containers of food expecting the normal 3 bits of meat a ton of veges and half a litre of sauce thats common with chinese takeaway but could not have been more surprised. Both the beef and black bean and the chilli prawn dishes were full of meat and full of flavour. $30 for 2 containers of food freshly cooked and on par if not better flavour than far more expensive Chinese. Highly recommend this place 😋😋

generous sliced steak in beef and blackbean cooked tender great to eat and filling would have been 5 star if the watery funny tasting sauce was a rich flavoursome blackbean sauce

A great night out and we arrived late and there was an excellent selection of food on the train and was very fresh.Cannot wait to go back again.

Our 1st visit as we were travelling through and we did order off the back wall instead of doing the buffet which was our mistake. We ordered our meal and had to wait for it to be cooked. I ended up enquiring how long would it be and if to long I would of apologised and changed it to the Buffet on display. Not long after our meal arrived to takeaway but the Chef came outside and apologised for the delay. This was so nice of him to do this and not his fault at all but our novice visit. Food was amazing and thoroughly recommend this Chinese Restaurant if your ever in Dalby. Thanks to the Chef and also the great staff in the front counter.

All you can eat smorgasbord with plenty of meal selection. Very reasonably price take away. You can also eat in small seating area.

Actually really good chinese. You can load yourself a take away container or sit and order. Value plus and very pleasant staff.

Disappointing! The deep fried stuff in the buffet tasted like the oil hadnt been changed in weeks. I had been on the road for three hours and I really wanted a nice meal but this was terrible. I should have just gone to McDonalds, it might not have been great but at least its consistent.

the best Chinese food you will ever eat.now thats a big claim I know... but unless your dining in the forbidden palace then yes.60 bux fed my self my mate and my dog and 4 drinks.. 20 bux a head. better then maccas... cheaper then a counter meal.. the owners are superb and will bend over backwards to make you feel like royalty..... I will be eating here every time Im in dalby

The management of this establishment have nothing but happiness on their face as they welcome you for the BEST Chinese food in Dalby. The food is always hot and freshly made. I cant remember where i have had such a good smorgasbord during our travels around Australia. The take meals are all you can fit into the takeaway dish and there is a free dish after purchasing a certain amount of food. A really nice quite clean place to visit.

Just another different store with the same menu and the same taste. Other food menu are not included in your package unlike the other store that I had been. The taste is reasonable for the price.

Good variety of popular dishes in the smorgasbord/ buffet - or you can order fresh to your liking - which we usually do. Happy staff.

Definitely one of the best takeaways in Dalby. My personal opinion is that it is the best chinese food I have ever had and enjoyed everything.
