Lote 23 - Restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico
We reserved a terrace for 50 people the night following our wedding. Astrid went above and beyond to ensure my party was accommodated. Her communication was amazing! They had our area reserved and tented and everyone had such an amazing time just hanging out. The drinks were great and every single vendors food was outstanding. If you are looking for a unique venue to host a group at, I highly recommend Lote 23!
I had the best Mofongo with shrimp at Lote23 with garlic sauce. I think it was about $20.00 but it was the best I have ever had. I am going on a cruise next month and I am getting my cousin to pick me up from the port so I can go there for the Mofongo again. Yummy.
Its a great place to enjoy your food with so many options available. We ordered food from- Hen House- La Neta Taqueria Urbana- Lolo’s
Great spot in Santruce for a wide variety of local food! Very clean, lots of seating and great ventilation, food trucks serve cocktails which is even better for cooling you down! Overall highly recommended 😊
Horrible.- went to the bbq chicken place. Girls are sitting at the table in front while we looked at the menu. Then as we approach the window they yell “come back in 15mins!” In an extremely rude way.- we go to the burger place literally called berger. “Sorry, we have no burgers”. LOL!!! Cant make that up- lets get a cocktail. Nope! That place is closed at 4pm on a a Thursday.- got steak and it was amazing!- visited the taco place. $42 for 2 small nasty tacos, burnt nacho chips, horrible elote corn woth crushed popcorn on top ?? Weird. And a disgusting mezcal margarita. All in all. Would definitely not recommend
Great casual place to hang out and get food and drinks. Sometimes they have events on the stage in the back. There are some friendly chickens roaming around too. Parking in the back. The sign says $5 but they dont always collect.
Amazing place I havent been home in years so I thought Id check this place out when I returned and I loved it
A different dining experience. There are different food stalls from tacos to burgers. Burgers from Berger are amazing.
I literally stopped here because of Guy Fieri and Triple D. Everything was fresh and there were even some vegan options. I went to the Budare stand of course. There was chickens and pigeons walking freely I looked that.
Great selection of stalls. My group tried 3 different ones and they were all good. I ate at the Hen House, probably the best chicken sandwich Ive eaten.
Really cool food truck park in the Santorce arts district with a parking lot. Good variety of food trucks including a bar truck. Family friendly with plenty of seating when we went on a Wednesday evening. They are not open every day so check before you go.The grouper ceviche from the Malanga truck which was excellent- super fresh and flavorful with freshly fried tortilla chips. We also ordered the avocado filled with fried pork from El Cuchifrito truck which was excellent and different. They seemed to have a modern take on Puerto Rican “comida de barrio.” The cilantro aioli and side salad on the side were also good.
Absolutely to go to place when you’re in PR. A lot of 6 or more food trucks that offer great food at affordable prices. We had the fried chicken tenders, the were freshly made after you order. We had the tacos from la Neta . They weren’t good and they were pricy compared. We had the churrasco mofongo, it was amazing
Food was excellent and atmosphere good. Not crowded and excellent variety of places. There was some wait at some carts but it is hard to complain when youre enjoying the music at a picnic table with friends and family. The forma, a local artists vending machine, was a super cool concept that supplied me with several gifts for family from my trip. Must visit for family or couples.
Its a quaint little food truck park with some good options and seating. Food was mediocre and over priced for the quality but if youre just looking for a quick bite to eat or to try a few different foods its not bad
Summer time has come! and feels great to be outdoors and at this place theres a variety of flavors very proper and neat enviro and service, maybe of they increase the portions, but you know...
Great spot to spend a late evening. Especially if you dont know what you want! They have it all and its all great food and amazing mixed drinks!
Its a very nice space to chill and relax to feel the breeze. To me theres alot thats over priced but its different for everyone theres a swing thats pretty cool to take photos on. They have a giant fan look at the name on the fan.
We just stumbled on this food truck place while walking down the street and, boy, were we glad! Great choices and an even better atmosphere.
Tourist trap-y food shacks, but so many tasty options. We got the Mofungo bowls that were awesome.Had some strawberry lemonade and Modelos to top it off.Make sure to visit and see all the street art nearby!
Cool place with tons of food options, great for families or groups. Clean bathrooms and well kept areas.Pay attention to closing time, we came after a sunset cruise and only had a limited amount of time to enjoy the atmosphere.
What a cool place to hang out in. There is a variety of food options which makes this place perfect for big groups. Also, there is plenty of outdoor seating. The live music creates such a great vibe. All in all, a very highly recommended place.
Wide selection of food trucks with options ranging from poke bowls to loaded fries. Some cocktails as well, coffee, avocado bows, tacos, burgers. Plenty of sitting area.
The coolest food trailer / pop up park Ive ever seen. Its roomy with tons of seating, has misters to keep you cool, restrooms, a stage for live music , and tons of food options. Love the concept and execution.
This place was around the corner from our AirBnb. It has so many choices to choose from. I dont like plantains but this mofongo was soooooo delicious. They top it with chicarrones. I ate most of them b4 taking a picture. The drinks were delicious!!! Pretty place with a cool vibe.
So many options for everyone. No way you dont find something you like. The taco place here was amazing. Honestly the best food I had in all of Puerto Rico so far.
Very hip food court with many vegan and vegetarian options. Try the arepa, they were very very yummy.. Plus some great local artists sell their things and designs.
Simply amazing. The food is high quality and the vibe is perfect for life in the era of COVID with well spaced tables and fans/misters. We really enjoyed the arepas from Budare and the trifongo from el Cuchifrito. Fantastic
I stopped by El Cuchifrito at Lote 23 and enjoyed this insanely good mofongo with beef steak... It was simply mind-blowing delicious! It definitely left an impression. Hats off to the chef! Cant wait to return.
Our 1st day in PR. As we were leaving the airbnb we saw 3 police officers walking past. Since we didnt know the area yet, we asked them for somewhere quick to eat. They all said Lot 23. We were confused about the name but followed their direction to the place lolWhen we got here it made sense lol. It wasnt a restaurant! Its a LOT that was turned into like a food truck lot except these trucks will never move from the spot hehehe. Its outdoor space do be careful of passing showers!!The trucks line the "wall" and sold sandwiches, burgers, chickens, arepas, smoothies, and many other I forgot. Tables are scattered in the "center". Not many tables so either come during off hours or take your food to go. We were too early for lunch so many were still closed. We walked around before settling on this truck, El Cuchifrito.Mofongo with Churrasco - amazingly tender beefStuffed Avocado with Garlic Mero - so good, never heard of a stuffed Avocado before!Definitely come try this if your in the Santurce area!
This place is amazing. The food is fantastic !! The scene and staff great !! Definitely will be coming back. And try the chicken sandwich or BBQ chicken sandwich with bacons and cheddar cheese. Also the ice tea was delicious!
A must go to! Many food choices all different and artisanal. Theres one place that made mofongo that will change your life. I got it with shrimp and I couldnt believe the huge shrimp in it, DELICIOUS. I wish I had the name but its the only one there that makes mofongo.Picknick tables are the seating so its a bit limited.
Great environment with music and various food vendors. Highly recommend the mofongo at El Cuchifrito! Picture of my dish with the pork on top. Delicious!!!
El Cuchifrito was the kiosk that we decided to eat at located on Lote #23. This place has a few kiosks offering delicious options and the prices are reasonable. Another really good place to stop by at for a good meal. Lote #23 is located in Santurce, PR
Great place with a great vibe. We did the tasting, which was amazing. We got eight samples from the various spots and it was way more than we could eat in one sitting, well worth the price. Had to ding one star for the beer that came with the tasting. It is basically the local bud light and not very good, which is a shame since there are so many good craft brews that fit the idea of a craft tasting so well. I would mix the beer or step it up. The beermosa would also have been good.
This was so beautiful. There were a bunch of truck vendors with a stage for a band, warm lights, and it was extremely warming. By far, the best place we found to eat in Puerto Rico while we were there.
Cool place for different food options. Some of the places werent open at 7pm. The fry stand and pizza stand were closed. Boo. But the taco stand and chicken stand were great and very affordable. Wanted to check out the poke and arepas stand but got too full! Cool place to meet friends or grab food quickly!
I did not expect this place to be so good. The vibe inside was completely different. This is for sure a hidden gem in the city.So many options to try out from wood Pizza, Mediterranean, poke bowl, arepas, cocktails, burgers. We got La llanera vegana Arepas from BudareSwiss burger from BergerChicken tinga tacosEgg plan tacosBudare and the tacos were bu far the best I have ever had. Definitely would come to this place everytime I am in puerto rico.
Nice relaxing vibe at lote 23.Plenty of variety in foods to eat and lots of seating for your family. There are a few big fans blowing cool air as well which is really nice. This is a nice little gem and I will definitely be returning. The lot is clean and well maintained! A few chickens were running around and it was entertaining to watch
Inside was something else. Fun vibe, relaxing feel, good variety of fast food and drinks. Plenty of seats under umbrella. Good wood pizza, Mediterranean or make your own poke bowl. Different vibe different feel from lunch and dinner. This something you dont want to miss. Right in the business area. Limit street parking.
A great place when you don’t know where to go but want to explore as much of Puerto Rico as possible. This place has about 11 food stands varying from traditional Puerto Rican food offering mofongo and stuffed avocados, to poke bowls, chicken tenders, Mediterranean, and cocktails/beer. Nice open area too so very covid friendly
We enjoyed the ambiance of this place. It was clean and I felt comfortable here sitting outside especially during pandemic time...food and drink so so so delicious I will back again to this place sure.
HEN HOUSE! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The chicken......Seriously..get the chicken. He makes the best chicken sandwich I ever had. Makes his own pickles..sauce etc. Im pretty sure bread is homemade or local. I know this is fast food and a truck not a restaurant but for real...worthy of five stars. So damn good.My picture just doesnt show it well..Im sorry..its so much better. Super crispy, juicy, and seasons just right.
Such a lively atmosphere and a wide variety of mini restaurants to choose from all in one place!! From poke bowls, to argentinan, middle eastern, and a burger joint, everything is made fresh to order and delicious!!An outdoor food court in the heart of Santurce in San Juan,Puerto Rico!!
We came here when we stayed in Condado area and it is such a short walk through a nice area with shops and hotels, or a short Scooter ride. Many trucks were not open, so, the choices were limited. We picked things from 4 different vendors: pizza, burger, Mediterranean/ Arab bogo maloush, and a pork sandwich from Pernileria los Proceres. The area has nice benches, large “bigass” fans, cozy/ romantic lighting, and a vending machine to support local artists (selling earrings, tshirts, cards, etc.I especially like Pernileria los Proceres, they have a cute truck with tons of farm animal decors, homegrown herbs, and while I never had pork sandwich before, I had to tip them more for the awesome sandwich. It has fried pork skin, radish, and a few other veggie ingredients that cannot typically be found in sandwiches. Highly recommended. I wonder how it’d be like pre-COVID. There are also beer and cocktails.
Great atmosphere, you cant tell youre in the middle of the city! Lots of seating, food options, music. Theres a stage for live music... unfortunately none at this time. Check it out!
Cute place to visit. It is a little hidden in the middle of the city. Its between buildings but a must try if you are in the area. When you are inside. It is like you transported to a diferent place. It doesnt have the feel of a city but tropical. Its a good place for a drink. It has great atmosphere. It is a lot that has little restaurant. All same size. They look like little wooden cabins most, like lunch trucks. Each one has diferent food. I saw a burgers, fried chicken, Jerusalem food, Asian and a few bars. Its really cute. There is a stage in the back . I was told a live band used to play before Covid . They have a good sound system now.The place is clean. There is an attendant wiping the tables contastly. Everyone is wearing a mask.
Diverse choices, cool vibe. Music, baseball game on a big screen, even a Puppy Festival one day. Great local spot. Most places take credit cards. Vegan options and a delicious pork sandwich in the Airstream. Craft and local beers, plus fancy cocktails.
A great food-truck market that grownups and kids will like. So many wonderful options from around the world. These aren’t actually food trucks but permanent stalls. Top off your meal with a gelato popsicle (they even have versions for dogs).
Quint place. Its a little hard to get an overview of the food options there. You basically have to walk around to each place to see what they offer. Lots of kiosks doesnt show prices either, so you have to ask. But once you have spent half hour walk around to figure out your choices, we were all quite satisfied with our food.
Awesome group of food and entertainment in a great atmosphere. Most of the vendors accept credit and debit cards, or cash. Theres a variety of different food options from burgers, snacks, side dishes, and desserts. There was a movie playing the night we went. We had pulled pork sandwiches, onion rings, things I dont know the name of but were delicious, ice cold beers, and ice cream. Highly recommend this for the food and atmosphere.
