Lattan Mosque is one of the best preserved monuments within the walled city of ancient gaur, now in Maldah, West Bengal. It is located between the tantipada mosque and the Bridge of Five Arches. The mosque has been stylistically dated to the end of the 15th or early 16th century and was possibly built during the time of the Husain Shahi sultans.Lattan Mosque, Maldah, West Bengal Built of brick, the entire building, consisting of a square prayer chamber on each side and a verandah forms a rectangle from east to west and from north to south. The prayer chamber is entered through three arched openings on each side except the qibla side. The qibla wall is internally recessed with three semi-circular mihrab niches facing cardinally the three entrances on the eastern side. The central mihrab and central archways on all sides are bigger than their flanking counterparts.

is a wonderful place for tourists to visit. Tourists can all come here and enjoy. The bricks of the houses here are made of cotton flour.
Stunning enamelled bricks
The monument stands strong even today. The only problem reaching there is transportation which you can get access to by reserving the auto or toto ( e-rickshaw. There are other places to visit near by so the expenses is comparatively very less .
One of those places which talk about the history and origin of Bengal. Malda is one of the districts where Bengal history dates back to over 1500 years.

Lottan Masjid(Mosqueis situated in Gour,Malda,India and is about 30 kms. from the town of Malda. It was built during late 15th to early 16th century and was probably built by Sultan Yusuf Shah. The building as per legend is attributed to a dancer of the royal court.Beautifully enamelled paint work can still be seen on the outer walls.Intricate designs in various colours like blue, green, violet, etc., are visible.Due to the use of coloured bricks, it is also known as Painted Mosque. The place is surrounded on all sides by a well kept garden. However, entry inside is barred as the place is locked up. One can only have a view from outside.
it was so beautiful, but transport is not available here from malda.
