The space is airy, clean, and classy. The service was great - except *our* server. He was pleasant enough, but he had forgotten our drinks and wasn’t very attentive so we were through with appetizers before I was able to get his attention again for the drinks. But here’s where it went from ehhh ok to WOW. We had mediocre risotto in varadero the night before so we hesitated on risotto again, but *you* shouldn’t. The tenderloin risotto was nothing short of absolutely incredible. When I tell you that I was prepared to walk home with it in my hands if they didn’t have a take out box, I’m not kidding. Try the black bean hummus, too!The owner circled around and assured that everyone was enjoying themselves, lovely fella.Two drinks, two appetizers, two meals and it was only 40usd.Go. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing food, best restaurant in Havana I’ve tried so far

The live music is amazing, the service as well! But the food... its like a well served McDonalds(thats how it tastesbut expensive.. the dessert was not good at all. For the price it should have more taste.

We had the entire place to ourselves so we were able to speak to the Chef as well as the owner. The history of this restaurant is one that you must hear.All of the dishes that were ordered was delicious, which was a surprise to me because I didnt think that the food in Havana was going to be so delicious.The flavors were great and we were definitely full leaving the restaurant at the end of the night.

Very nice place, I recommend it in Habana Vieja. We spent 3 hours enjoying great meal ans drinks with friends. Good service.

Great building and food but the service and SCAMS they try and run are so terrible, our waiter tried to make me buy a cocktail that wasnt on the menu 3 or 4 times after I told him I dont like the ingridiants he listed. We ordered a margerita and some other drinks, when the bill came the margerita was charged at $750 cup instead of $350 that was on the menu originally. we queried it and was told thats the correct price i asked to look at the menu, and the waiter came back with the menu and the margeritas price was written over in pen to 750 but it was the only price change in the menu and all the other cocktails were still 350. I walked to other tables and looked at their menus and were all priced at 350, this was the most rediculous attempt at either a very badly planed scam to increase the bill or a mistake that they were so determined not to admit they went as far as to change the price in pen of the menu in front of us. Either way it was a shambolic end to other wise a reasonable dinner. They let them selfs down. I dont normally write bad reviews i just let the stars do the talking but in this case. I want people to know you have to check the bills here because they are basically dishonest

Great restaurant! Weve been twice during three weeks on Cuba and it turned out to have the best one on the island. We didnt visit some hotels fancy restaurants, but we eat in normal street rastaurants every day... It was during covid period so many places were closed or had reduced offer.Here you get decent english speakers, more food thats not basic like in other places, there are musicians playing and some sort of extra effort in welcoming guests. The place looks nice, romantic.. anyway - food, stuff, toilets - all is very nice. Prices are still ok similar to other place.

Really good place, beautiful decor, service is impeccable, dishes are good, cocktails as well. I found it to be the most expensive restaurant I tried in my trip to Cuba. They do have a WiFi so that has to be accounted for as well.

No doubt, best restaurant in Havana with the nice balance of price and taste! All dishes are really good looking and delicious like in top European places. Everything is full of love here! And, as a bartender, I strongly recommend to try their Pina Colada! It’s awesome!

Have been there twice. So romantic place with beautiful balcony where we had dinner. Tasty food and very nice servers. We met a owner very nice and interesting person. Thanks a lot

One of the best meals we had in Cuba. Charming interior, very friendly and attentive staff, and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend.

We took a ropa veja and a chicken gourmet. Both of the plates were served with rice as side dish.Everything was very good, the waiters and the owner were very welcoming. The only bad thing was the price of the water: 600 cup (5€for a big bottle, unforgivable to me. We paid 27€.Also, if you want to pretend to be a gourmet restaurant you have to fix some things such as: use the same glasses for everybody and burn that plastic placemats.

This is a must visit place with delicious Food.Divine mango daiquiri taste still haunts me in my dreams! The owner is very polite, looking quietly and carefully how his quests Are doing. You will be amazed with style, taste, presentation, music, professional staff and how clean it is.With order you just can’t miss, close your eyes and pick - all is excellent, full of flavor and taste. This restaurant saved me cause I had hard time to find clean and nice place to eat in Cuba so I was regular guest every day while in Havana. ( Yes, I am spoiled ). The food is very good and they have international food too.Prices are little bit higher than in other places but is worthy .Nice, clean and cosy place.

Awesome international food, vegetarian options on the menu (their organic salad is crazy!), and the custom cocktails are better than most high-end bars I’ve tried. Definitely worth a second —and even a third— visit.

Like their Classic and homey decor. The mercaderes street is very scenic and clean. One of the most walk friendly street in old Havana.Food was not the best to our taste but good in quality. Services were professional and friendly. No air conditioning was a problem in the summer heat.

Really great place! The food is top quality and taste and the service is 10/10. Prices are very fair and they accept eur or dollars with great exrates. There is life music and all Cuban food and cocktails you can ask for. Probably best restaurant during my stay in Cuba. Thank you!

Dishonest. Stay away.They claim they will provide you with free wi-fi, but in reality they will only activate it at certain times and if the place is full because they dont want to spend the money on it.They claim its because Cuba has network problems, but the truth is that the owner/manager decides who to give the WiFi to.I feel sorry for the waiters, but better to go somewhere else.

LOVE this paladar! The owners are lovely, the staff is super welcoming, and the food was SO good! We ended up coming back multiple times and loved every dish we had. The corn tamale appetizer and octopus appetizer were both out of this world! Love the decor and they always have live music. Cant recommend this lovely place enough!

Excellent food, excellent service, very reasonably priced. Much better and cheaper than the restaurants nearby in Plaza Vieja. Would highly recommend. We’ll definitely go back.

Insanely overpriced. The quality is overall basic if not low and it was the priciest restaurant we’ve been to in Cuba. Ambiance and decor really nice and warm, but so not worth the expense.

Best restaurant Ive been to in Cuba in the two trips I have made so far! Beautiful atmosphere and with live music, and great quality food and good service. The Argentinian beef carpaccio was amazing as both the size and the flavour of the dish exceeded expectations. I can also recommend their croquetas! And one of the best things for me was in some small details: they used metal straws instead of plastic, cloth napkins instead of paper and cloth towels in the bathroom to dry your hands. Id give them a sixth star for this if I could as Ive not seen such sustainability efforts elsewhere in Cuba!

In the middle of Old Havana. The food is really delicious and the stuff is super kind! Coctails are strong and not expensive.

This Place was our favorite restaurant in Havana! If you want somewhere a bit special to go this is a great option. It’s really cute inside and there are also little balcony seats above the street. Service was Great both times we went and they had great live music when we went. We are vegetarian and they have a section on the menu which is not so common in Cuba and it has some really good choices. We tried them all over our two visits and they were delicious. The beetroot carpaccio and the vegetarian salad were highlights, as well as the black bean hummus and the risotto was also very good. Definitely recommend to go here!!

Specifically decorated in collonial style restaurant with live cuban music and amazing food. We had the best fish ever and very good vegetable risotto. Delicious canchanchara coctail. Great service. Good rating exchange. Highly recommended.

Incredible food, innovative and delicious, locally sourced. The owner was kind, hospitable and welcoming. The yucca fritters with honey dipping sauce were out of this world. Was planning on heading to Mas Habana but seems to be closed. Came across Los Mercaderes that I had seen on here or google reviews and decided to go. Was best food we’ve found in 2 trips to Havana, including being at 5 Sentidos the night before. Great staff and live music as well. Be careful of the 20yr old rum. Nice 1500 peso/£15 shot at the end of the night!

Every dish is very delicious and decoration is very warm ve welcoming. Waiters are so polite and helpful.

Absolutely excellent! Best dinner we had in Havana & weve visited quite a few places. All dishes that we ordered were impeccably delicious & had that unique Cuba flavor that you will never get in any of all inclusives, alas. Ceasar Salad Cuban Style is to die for + white fish for Jose. Not sure who Jose is but lucky guy = white fish for him was cooked to perfection.& their Banana/Pineapple Daiquiri is simply heaven deliciousNess (& usually I am absolutely NOT a fan+ fast & friendly service, excellent live mostly jazzy music after 7pm ( were there in Jan 2022+ charming atmosphere. Totally a place to go for a romantic date. A tad off the main touristy streets in Old Havana, so makes it perfect for a relaxing evening after all hustle & bustle of a day. 100% recommended.

Wow. Just wow. If you are in Havana got try this place out. We have had a fairly lack luster experience with food in Cuba so far, and weve been to a lot of places (not an all inclusiveand this was just amazing food. Great local delicacies as well as some international items. 👍🏽 I definitely recommend this place. Especially the black rice and octopus dish and the rabbit tortellini.

I love this place! This small venue local favorite is ideal for those traveling to Cuba wanting an authentic experience without lots of tourist. Wonderful food, great atmosphere and the owner (pictured with me belowwas kind enough to introduce himself and explain the history of his restuarant (ask about it, youll be surprised). Highly recommend, do not miss out.

We had a beautiful dinner here, food was much better than we expected. It has many cool things in restaurant, like colection of tobaco labels etc..

Just returned from a week long trip to Havana and this was by far our top restaurant. We ate dinner here for New Year’s Eve and then returned twice more. The food was exceptional Cuban haute cuisine, and the sense of hospitality and service was unparalleled in the area. I highly suggest the ropa vieja, however all the dishes were top notch. The owner was kind enough to speak to us about our experience, and he went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. Thank you - we will be back!

Absolutely fantastic interior design and aesthetic. The food was amazing and there were great vegan options. Honestly such a great experience. Only one small problem was how the waiters didnt seem to care about the customers. There were only three tables filled and like 5 waiters and we still had to constantly call to them when we needed something. Regardless, the place was so good that I still happily give it five stars!

I think I can say this is my best food experience (so far?In Havana! A former residential building converted in a family restaurant ... great location, excellent and professional profile and a nice interior setting are the side plates of a lovely food experience which portraits great creativity and competencies in the development of tasty dishes. I would Certainly recommend it (prices are reasonable too)

A cosy terraced restaurant offering cuban dishes with a modernist twist that successfully experiments with traditional ingredients. The staff have pride in what they do and it shows in the professionalism of the waiters and quality of the food. While it is more expensive than other restaurants, it has a unique atmosphere and live music. I would recommend it for a romantic meal or special occasions. Try their passion fruit daiquiri if they have it on the specials list.

They offer fantastic culinary experience. Service is excellent, waters are fast and polite. Location is attractive, in the heart of Old Havana. Enough said.

We ordered the seafood plate and the smoke pork loin, and the food was delicious. The seafood was spicy hot and delicious. Most of the dishes dont come with sides so you have to order sides.
