Just amazing. The best hostel in Montevideo, for sure. The bedroom is very clean and organized. The bathroom is amazing and the staff is wonderful. Very polite and friendly. I am in love with the hostel.

MoreExcelente atención y servicios impecables.
Perfectly reasonable, although in the more run down part of town, could only pay with cash
MoreUn hostel agradable y familiar.
To be fair I have to say beforehand that we did not end up staying here - thankfully. For that reason I could only review the hostel itself based on me and my girlfriends first impression, which was alright. The thing that was not alright was the way the owner treated us from the very first moment. We were asking her, at first in spanish if she had room for us. She answered us rather unkind that she spoke "perfectly fine" english and made us repeat the question in english. From that moment on to us everything seemed more like a "take it or leave it" and "lets get it over with" kind of situation for her. We didnt feel welcome at all! When we asked her to show us the room she seemed really unwilling but did it anyways. When my friend said "what" instead of "excuse me" because she didnt get what the owner was saying to her, all was lost. She explained to us very agressively that "what" is rude and that we are supposed to say "excuse me". When we wanted to have a minute to think about whether or not we want to stay in a hostel with an owner like this she would hardly let us ("are you staying or not??"). As we thought that we dont really have an option and that it was only for one night we agreed. When we tried to calm her down she basically kicked us out. I dont think that this is a person that should work in a position like this. If this is "her home" then she should just leave it like that and dont make it a hostel. In the end we were glad not to have stayed there because we found a really nice and friendly (!place around the corner: Circus Hostel&Hotel - very recommendable. Cheaper, much nicer and you can pay by credit card. Go there.
MoreWe received a rude welcome by hostel staff (Susan? She also appeared to take offence when I asked a question in Spanish rather than English. The room smelled stagnant and had a broken lamp. It was advertised as en-suite, however the toilet access was out of the room and up some steep outdoor stairs. In the morning the room populates with cigarette smoke from the smoking area below. There was a seemingly cute and free roaming small dog that bit me lightly but relentlessly, once scratching deep enough to draw blood. The couple have two small children who are boundless in the common areas, cute but overly friendly and very loud. During their meal I heard one of the hostel staff swear at them in both English and Afrikaans. It made them quiet but made me uncomfortable. That being said, the kitchen and communal areas are excellent. However those facilities coupled with the poor room quality and staff attitude do not support the lofty price.Do not recommend.
MoreExcelente atención, ambiente familiar, personas muy cálidas !! Recomendado 💯%
MoreEs un infierno agujero de ruidoso niños indisciplinados y el peor wifi en la ciudad. A menos que te gustan los niños con manos sucias para tocar tu comida, este no es un lugar para ti.
MoreVery nice, friendly and familiar place
Recomendo e quero voltar.
