Los Habaneros - in Cartagena, Spain
Had a good and peaceful stay there
Lovely clean hotel good sized room with great sized bathroom, friendly and helpful staff. They provide kettle in your room but no cups or tea, coffee or milk to make a hot drink, small fridge with 2bottles of water are provided. Windows are not double glazed so if youre on the front you get alot of noise from traffic and loud people coming back early hours of the morning. Paper thin walls so you can hear showers being run, snoring and the lift doors opening. It seems the Spanish people dont have a quite button when going to bed in the early hours of the morning. Which is a shame as it would be a great place to stay
All very good pleasant staff will definitely stay again on our next visit in Cartagena
Ideally situated for everything. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Restaurant on site, lovely food. Plenty of parking spaces. I would recommend to anyone.
Cool breakfast with pretty young girl that was working in restaurant of hotel
Shower too small, not helpful staff, noise.⁹
I have tried to book a room with a balcony and asked a simple clear question as in the picture was a balcony ..and I was told that it will depend on availability :))never heard this in my life. Also no answer if there is a terase...No hospitality ideea...No an alternative just a blur answer...Hell no! Thank you . The one that replyed to me was same nationality as me, so pretty sure she was making fun of me. Professional!
Very accommodating staff. The area is very well maintained and so refreshing. Love this place.
Hotel is lovely and bright in lobby. But the rooms are very dated. The beds were hard as rock. The shower has to be held in one hand or else water sprays everywhere. Room was clean but badly needs painting.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Avoid the breakfast at all costs.
IN NEED OF URGENT RENOVATIONIt is a 3* hotel located in Cartagena, a stroll away from the old city town and port but,The hotel needs renovation urgently . Flooring was broken in the rooms, the walls were damaged, the carpets in the main hallway were 20 year old at least as the sofas. The balconies and bathrooms presented broken flooring as well, deplorable.I booked a single room for 5 nights. When i saw the room I immediately went to reception and complained about it - the mattress was the narrowest I have ever seen in my life in a hotel room 1.10m at best, it was a foam mattress - impossible to sleep there. They finally changed my room the third time I made the complain. The final room was better but again a narrow mattress and the strings were broken, I has unable to sleep having a sore back for the rest of my stay.People like drinking near by and it is impossible getting some rest there. To the owner - PLEASE invest some money in the mattresses and hotel urgently!!!
Great value for money. Room was spacious, clean and even had a terrace. Great location, staff friendly.Breakfast a bit chaotic as not self service. Only thing missing was tea and coffee facilities in room.
The guy at reception was very rude with us. The room wasnt very clean and quiet. The location is great, but we rather better costumer service. Very poor dealing with people and very poor the hotel services. Not coming back
Good hotel for the price you pay .its very close by everything you like to see on Cartagena. Only tv not working and chewing gum on the ceiling. But nice guy down in the reception and again for the price we pay you cant complain I think
Great choice of local specialities, tasty and non-ordinary decisions of Chef. We enjoyed it a lot!!!Also daily menu is available for democratic price. Be ready for big portions ;)
I went there to celebrate my birthday. It was a fantastic experience. The decor was amazing, the food was delicious and the servers were very kind. Would definitely go there again. Highly recommended.
Very well located and reasonably priced. Decent sized rooms and bathrooms.Parking facility close by, 5 minute walk. Just an 8 minute walk to the train station. We did not use the breakfast option but the buffet looked plentiful. The lunch and dinner menus were also well done.We would stay here again if visiting Cartagena.Note to management.. attention needs to be given to some dark mold issues in the bathrooms.
Nice place to stay in historical center of Cartagena. Rooms are quite big, average bathroom but walls are a bit dirty. Besides these staff was very nice and communicative in English.
Very nice Hotel, close to the train station. We had a balcony room at the front. Thumbs up for the Restaurant too. Lidl very close, so you can buy your beer here too!
Spacious rooms, a large bath, very clean, the staff was friendly and could talk english. The only problem was that the hairdryer was old and malfunctioning, and the jacuzzi was also in a not very good condition. Another thing was that our room had no view and it was very dark, with only one small window. Maybe in other rooms would have been better.
I have stayed in this hotel two times and i liked. Rooms are different in space, in wireless network intensity, in the noise and the view. My first time i stayed in the top floor and the room is VERY GOOD, the second time i stayed in 1st floor and the room was not so good, the wifi is weak the noise was a problem to trying sleep. I think for the money is not bad but if you will stay in this hotel choose ALWAYS the suite in top floor.Breakfast was good and have many choice. The staff was very good and sympathetic.
We booked two adjoining rooms for one night . Unfortunately they were more like large cupboards with no proper windows just an outlook on to air conditioning vents that were very noisy. Although the rooms seemed clean there was a musty smell and after returning my sister and her husband found the ceiling leaking and were moved to a proper room. They couldnt move us so we had to spend a sleepless night due to the air-conditioning rattling and the sound of running water. The actual hotel communal areas were fine and the buffet breakfast was good value for 9 euros . No offer of a discount was made when we mentioned the problems of our room .The hotel was in a good location for the city attractions unfortunately being so tired the next day meant we didnt fully appreciate what else was on offer in this interesting town.
While generally enjoyed the stay, we were given the ground floor rare room next to a car park which was also a walk though for people which disturbed our privacy. We had to ensure we have curtains closed reducing the intake of light. The curtains themselves were eaten by moles. I have removed everything apart from bottom sheets on the bed as the blanket didnt feel washed. I have found peanuts on the floor in the bathroom when I closed the door and hair in the bath. Everything else was fine, please give staff time to clean properly! It is however a beautiful hotel with cheap dinner deals which we didnt unfortunately have time to enjoy and in good location. Parking a car in this location is a problem. Quality hotels have their own car park without a 10 euro charge on top.
