Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in Los Angeles

I went to regional food Bank to volunteer and was treated very rudely as I watched Latino businesses loading all the good produce and meet in in trucks for their business denying me a black man any of the good items Latinos picked through the delivery and immediately give all the good items to their friends who didnt volunteer treating people in need as if they should be thankful for what ever they give this operation needs to be shut down

Not a food distribution or pantry here but it shows up on Google search. Dont go here if you need food.

This place es too small for big trucks deliveries. Docks are inside the building and too close one of other and also closer the wall. And people , God, take their time for unloading.

Showed up 2hrs late due to truck issues, and was put in a door right away. I was unloaded within 1hr with a full trailer load. Thank you Bianca for working with me and sorry for being late. Need to back in street. Its definitely doable.

New building being built I’m not sure if it’s going to be at the Los Angeles regional food bank.

I being volunteering since last year I have met with a few people who have been very helpful 😊 I hope to have a great time this year too. I had an incident with the staff member CINTHIA ONOA.I decided to dedicate my time to volunteer at Long Beach Jordan High School and my experience was great up until the staff member CINTHIA ONOA decided to pick at me and two other volunteers. I was doing the intake for the vehicles 🚗 that came to our station for the food drive, my group and I were having an amazing time boxing the food for the families until CINTHIA ONOA decided to come and harass us and TOLD me that she would be giving me another job which I was confused by because 3 people were required at each station so if I were to be moved that would only leave two people?? Insane. I will never volunteer here again I just didn’t understand and even my group members spoke up about it. So because I noticed her smirking as she said she was moving me to another station, I said I’d rather just go to which she replied “ you can go you don’t need to be here” like is this high school? Ugh so I left! Won’t be somewhere I’m treated indifferent.

I take boxes of food 14-16 from the Redondo pantry rather than getting it thrown away and wasted. People are kind and helpful, glad my friend brought it to my attention that they were in need. Another friend supplies the gas money as its not near my regular routes. I just provide transportation

Very helpful staff. We were blessed to be able to feed a lot of people in our community because of the food they donated to our church.

Excellent partnership with local non profits to bring life sustaining food to those most in need.

I’ve been volunteering at the LA Food Bank for about 2 years now and I love this place. I’m there very Saturday and it’s like my home away from home...lol. The staff there are great hard workers. The vibe there is very loving and friendly. This place is a great blessing from God. I encourage others to come join and be apart of this mighty blessing.

The Los Angeles Food Bank is doing amazing work feeding the hungry of Los Angeles during the pandemic. A great organization, I donate whenever I can.

Just had to deliver 3 pallets of products that were refused by a customer because the cases were crushed and nothing was wrong with the products inside.

The LA food Bank is incredible. What they do is very honorable and Im honored to have had the opportunity to go there on a work sponsored event and help out. Helping others in need is something this world needs more of. I helped sort out boxes of food into different categories to be boxed and sent out to various places in need. great experience!

We were here to Volunteer. Awesome time giving something back to the community. Worthwhile and fulfilling.

We went here to volunteer as a group at work. What a fantastic establishment. They do such awesome work.

They seem to not get our order correct every time! We wait hours for pick-up, an order that could be easily be done and finish with 30 to 1 hour wait.. Not sure where the problem is coming from I do hope they get it together. GODS BLESSING OVER THEM

We go there to pickup for our monthly food bank we sponsor. But its getting to the place that you get no good fruit or vegetables.

Great organization providing food for children, families, and seniors all over Los Angeles. Great to see all the ways they reduce food waste and fight hunger at the same time. Teamwork and exercise and a fun way to volunteer a few hours on a Saturday morning.

Saturday is volunteer day where any can come to offer help to prepare and issue out food.

We go to pick up food for our church to distribute to our community...the staff behind the scenes are so helpful to us...we get lots of food to help our neighborhood...but once in a while we have to wait for misplaced food we ordered...or our invoice....which is only bad because were very tired from lifting and packing the food...and theres no where to sit...theyre really nice for what they help us do though!

Ive been here about 4 times now and the most recent time, I organized a volunteer event for my alumni association.Back in January when I was in the middle of planning a volunteer event, I sent an email to the general inquiry. I received 2 responses immediately from different staff members. Fast service knocked my socks off! Since Saturday mornings are their busiest times for hosting groups, consider booking at least 3 months in advance. Eli was so helpful and thorough, the whole process to set up a service was seamless.My group ended up coming yesterday and we had a fantastic time. The staff is also punctual, we were all inside watching the informational video by 8:30am and started working by 9am. This time around, we were sorting vegetables/fruits area. It was hard work, but none the less, rewarding. Our group of 25 was a well oiled machine!We literally didnt finish until almost 12pm, just as they promised. Some tips for when volunteering is to consider wearing a backpack filled with water and snacks. Closed toe shoes are required.In the past, Ive helped with sorting bread, perishable items, and this time around veggies/fruits. My favorite is sorting bread so far. Ill be back soon enough for another service in the near future!

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is pretty awesome.They help seniors get food during these tough economic times.I was glad I volunteered to help the ladies of La Fetra center in Glendora get hungry seniors monthly food to their cars.Seriously go help them out.
