Creative Peruvian & Bolivian seafood & meat dishes, plus cocktails, in a relaxed, unassuming space.
Superior customer service and cuisine! Los Andes services as a trademark establishment in Providence as they never fail to please every customer. The food was phenomenal, the portions are large, and the staff are experts at their craft. Valet parking is also available! Highly recommended for diplomats, friends, families, and anyone looking for a superb meal and outing. Ill be back for sure. 👍🏾
For much of the past 15 years this has been my favorite Rhode Island restaurant.Somewhere on the internet a previous Google review must survive.Do to the covid years it took almost 3 years to return to, but this visit was in the planning for over 6 months.Since my last dinner date there, the restaurant which has seen continued growth and several steps of physical expansion has maintained their ability to feed you extremely well and service your culinary desires with a supportive staff. What started as a couple rooms and a beautiful large fish tank, has become a maze of settings and areas. Since this visit was after dark on a crisp fall Sunday evening I didnt get to visit every cranny but got an over view of some of the changes during my absence and its growth. The place was busy for sure. As always reservations are recommended. We were seated in a new room, so for us older fans it took a few minutes to adjust. But once we settled in the charm of the brother/owners, the waitress assigned to us and the food reassured us that at its core my favorite restaurant remains just that!!
Absolute stunner of a restaurant. The type of meal you cant help but eat slowly as the multitude of flavors unfold. Perfect service. And Ill add a little thing that seems small, but is probably big. As we approached the restaurant, two employees were scrubbing off the container which likely would receive spent cooking oil outside. Care in both front and back of house is big.
Visiting a friend at Brown and the service is amazing. The staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and will do their best to cater to you. Gabriel was our server and he is very professional, one of the best waiters I’ve had. If you have not been, I would definitely make a stop here, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! I will let the pictures do the talking. The only drawback is that the lobster paella shouldn’t come with the sausage. The saltwater fish tank is spectacular and as a fellow fish keeper, their tank is very well kept and the livestock are all healthy.
I was visiting Providence and this place kept coming up as one of the best places to eat. Rarely does a place with this many reviews and high of rating live up to the expectations but it did.The place was huge with a vast amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Their staff was super friendly and inviting. The octopus appetizer was amazing but the short rib empanada was the best empanada I’ve ever had. We got the surf and turf for the main entree and every part of it was delicious.A must stop if you’re in the area.
Delicious food and large portions. So tasty! Very nice ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent customer service too!
Absolutely eat here! The Lechon el Horno was just unreal. The dish is unassuming and then just explodes with flavor from the first bite. The pork is marinaded from the day before, and potatoes so buttery theyll make you melt. The portions are generous. I had leftovers for the next day.
We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary at Los Andes. The atmosphere, service and food were all wonderful. We started with Calamari. There were some odd things in the dish but the Calamari were fried perfectly. I had a 10oz Rib Eye. It was served with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, asparagus and the most delicious Madeira wine sauce. My husband also had a beef dish. His was a stir fry with a Latin flair. We ended the night with a Passion Fruit cheesecake. It was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Have been eating at Los Andes for years, thru all its expansions. Learned to love Peruvian food here. Huge portions, great service, beautiful enclosed patio. Best, tenderest octopus evah!
First time and its now my new favorite place! The food was absolutely delicious! The drinks were so tasty. Everything from the bread and oil to the appetizers to the entrees were flavorful. For appetizers, we had the stuffed mushrooms as well as the short rib empanadas. For the entree I had the blackened salmon and my husband had steak. The waitress was very nice and informative. The dessert menu sounded fantastic but we were so stuffed from our meal that I will have to try something from the next time. The area dedicated for outdoor seating was beautiful. The indoor seating was very nice as well, the lighting was perfect and the decor was giving such a relaxed vibe. We will definitely be back very soon!
Delicious meal! I had the lomo saltado. The meat was flavorful and tender. Great portion and good price. Also had the empanada de arroz. It was a large portion and very delicious.
Amazing Bolivian/ Peruvian food ! The ambience was superb, our hostess was really sweet - gave us good suggestions and helped us to choose dishes (it was our first time trying our Peruvian food). The service was really quick. There is valet parking available as well as you can park on the street if there is a spot.It is a must go place!!
Who knew Peruvian food could be so delicious. One of my favorite restaurants in the Providence area. Consistently good. Steak los Andes, chicken los Andes and Calamari for the win. Place doesnt look special from the outside, but once you step inside you escape to a magical place. Very good food and excellent service.
Food is consistently sooo good here! Love all the dishes, from the meats to the seafood, and the desserts. Service is amazing and the managers come around to greet their patrons and ensure they are enjoying themselves. Love this place!
Our experience at Los Andes was incredible! The service was amazing and he was so kind and helpful with the menu. The ambiance was filled with positive energy, which makes sense because the food was unlike anything weve ever had! Definitely one of the best meals all around.I ordered a margarita that was so tasty, we ordered the calamari which was delectable, and our main courses were absolutely divine. I dont think you can go wrong with anything on the menu and the dessert, the tiramisu, really was a perfect ending to everything! Our night was incredible and we couldnt stop talking about it after we left. Los Andes is a true gem and if you ever get the chance to go, GO!!!! Were from NY and we would literally drive to RI just for this place.Thank you to everyone at Los Andes!!!
A must stop if you’re in the Providence area! There is definitely a reason why this restaurant is on all the top 10 lists of restaurants around this area.Make sure if you go to make a reservation or just get there early because the wait can be long during peak times. We went in the summer and told us that they would only have tables outside for wait list, so keep that in mind. There is also a valet so you don’t have to worry about parking, which is nice. The service was phenomenal and the food came out so quick. The drinks were also fantastic; we got the pink sangria and it was very refreshing for a hot day.The Parmesan clams were so good, I wanted to eat the entire plate. The lobster paella and the panchamanca Del Mar were both delicious as well. We saw a lot of steaks pass by us along the way and they looked and smelled so great. I would recommend anything we got and also a steak as well.I’d highly recommend coming here even for special occasions if you’re in the area!
My husband and I had our valentines dinner at Los Andes, we loved and came back . The second time was even better..everything was perfect 👌 ❤ the service, the food was delicious and the portions huge, nice drinks,, the manager walks to the tables asking if everything is ok, (which I think is the best way to keep a great customer service). Now I want to talk about my favorite part, a incredible atmosphere, we had our table in front a little pond with a bridge, we could see fishes, and hear the sound of a very cute waterfall, under a beautiful apple tree ( I saw an employee coming from the kitchen and grabbing a fresh apple , which I thought was very cool! What a great time we had!Highly recommend!
The food is tasty and huge portions. You can easily share a plate and app for dinner. The ceviche is delicious along with everything we tried. The drinks are well made with fresh ingredients
The food is absolutely phenomenal. What makes this place even better is the service they provide. The food portions are huge and worth every penny. Come here for a good time and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere while listening to some live music ❤️🔥
Los Andes has great food and atmosphere. We were seated outside in their garden-like patio area. It was a nice place to be in the summertime. I had the Jelena, a fried mixed seafood dish with fried mussels, WoW. 😋 They have great drinks and when we went, free Valet parking. Well go again, for sure.
Fantastic meal. Have not been in years, and a lot has changed since the last time I visited. Food was amazing as expected, but for me the most impressive part of the experience was the service. We were greated by each staff member we passed, and each person that helped us at our table in any capacity was kind and helpful! Our waiter had the perfect cadence of visiting our table, very helpful with the menu and recommendations, and even had our dessert decorated for our special celebration. Food and drinks came very quickly and the attentive wait staff were always quick to clear empty plates. This was the best dining experience I have had in a long time!!!
Beautiful venue, delicious food, good service, good value, absolutely must try. We went with a group and tried many dishes on their menu. The lobster and seafood paella was fantastic and was my favorite. I also enjoyed their ceviche and baked chicken with mushrooms. The server seemed a bit newer and had some trouble keeping up with our requests, but he checked in very often so it helps remedy most of the issues. Some minor grievances from my experience here:1We got a pitcher of sangria, and they brought the pitcher out, but forgot about our glasses for a good 5 minutes2The server made a mistake and gave the standard ceviche and mixto ceviche (which included octopusto the wrong people and they ate it before the mistake was addressed. This was bad, but its an understandable mistake since the dishes look very familiar. The restaurant should establish an easier way to recognize the dish - they serve it on the same plate. From my photos, the only way to really notice it is the small sauce container being available on one but not the other.3One of our friends asked for a water refill 3 times over 10 minutes before actually getting it. Yes, its understandable that the restaurant can get quite busy, but please be more attentive.
5 star. If I could I would give 10 stars. We where seated by one of the owners Omar, extremely friendly, super welcoming. Our waitress Mamadu was amazing. Enjoyed every bite, Definitely coming back!
Friendly staff, unique and unexpected ambiance delicious food and drinks, huge portions. Definitely will return and recommend
We went here for an early dinner and were accommodated with no reservation, but were seated inside. Im thinking maybe you need a reservation to sit outside but didnt ask. The service was great, staff checked on us often, refilled water, and were very attentive. Food came out so fast. Margaritas were good, and food was awesome. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.
Literally my favorite restaurant in the world! I know that sounds hyperbolic, but the flavors and overall quality of every meal I’ve had at Los Andes blew me away! The owners are so kind and the overall service is amazing! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
In town for business and stopped into whats one of the best restaurants in the area. Absolutely wonderful food, drinks, and atmosphere, especially with the live music. I got the chefs cocktail of the week, however I also regret not getting the sangria as it looked very delicious! They have a valet service that is complimentary however tips are appreciated. Parking is pretty difficult otherwise.
Amazing food and service! Was told almost hour wait and got us in roughly 15mins. Staff was amazing and steaks some of the best we have ever eaten. Highly recommend!
My family and I celebrated a graduation here with 13 guests. I need to emphasize how impeccable the service and food is here! The owner was very accommodating to our changes in schedule. The staff were friendly and communicative. Nobody skipped a beat. Our glasses were always full along with our bellies!I had the lobster paella which was perfect. We also had the chicken wings for starters. The calamari was better than most calamari I have ever tasted. The portions for every dish are double the size of standard portions at other restaurants which I loved. I enjoyed every bit of my stay here and would highly recommend it!
Great food. They have expanded and renovated. This place is awesome. Outdoor seating is very nice with live music. You cannot go wrong here. Great place to celebrate an event
First off, wonderful service. Second, drinks were on point. The sour and kiwi drink. The paella was well cooked and the amount of seafood was appropriate. Also ordered the lomo saltado and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend maybe a third less rice and maybe more of the protein/fries. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the aquarium with the variety of fish were a nice touch for the patrons dining indoors.
The food was really good. One of the best ceviches Ive had since visiting Peru. Lobster paella was spot on. The only part I didnt like were the drinks. Ive tried two, pisco and Don Julio margarita, both missed. They need to work on that
Food is amazing but portion is too HUGE lol. Every main dish is meant for two ppl. The bread was super good too!!
Los Andes is phenomenal!! If youre in the Providence area, check out this gem. Atmosphere and service is awesome. Our bartender was lively and made the tastiest Morada Mules. The food was spectacular. Well definitely be back and bringing friends
Hands down the best Peruvian food Ive ever had. Im so sad they are so far away from me. The food was amazing, the service was great, the restaurant setting was beautiful. I have no negative things to say about this place. Best flan Ive ever had (we had to order two at the restaurant and we got one to-go), tender grilled meats, sweet plantains, and fluffy rice. Trust me, youre missing out if you dont give this place a shot. Definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants of all time.
We made a reservation and valet parked at the side of the restaurant. It was quick and easy. The restaurant seems much smaller from the outside, but once you enter, it is huge. The staff was very friendly and we were seated quickly (even though we arrived an hour earlier than our reservation time). We were seated next to the pond with many koi fish which our kids loved. The food was phenomenal and deserving of every 5 star review it has been given. Also our server Antonio was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back even though we live almost an hour away!
I went for the first time after hearing so many amazing things and it did not disappoint. It was easily the best meal I’ve had in RI since moving here. John our waiter was the best. He knew the menu inside and out, so friendly and gave us the best recommendations. Everything looked so good that I told him to surprise me for my entree and he nailed it. John + the food + the drinks made this experience wonderful!!!!!!!
I really try to be very aware of handing out 5-star reviews, but this place really deserves it. Its been awhile since I last visited Los Andes and I cannot believe how much its grown. The restaurant feels like it takes up an entire city block so you know theyre doing something right. The drinks were all incredible. My girl could not say enough good things about the Brazilian daiquiri and, of course, the food did not disappoint either. The restaurant pays attention to every little detail and its easily recognizable, from the garnish in a drink to the presentation on the plate. My only complaint was our waiter. He had to come back a second time for our orders for some reason, but it wasnt a huge deal. We were in one of the igloos with good company so we were in no rush. If youre in Providence for just one night and am looking for something a little different, this should be your choice.
Outstanding! Ive heard so many great things and finally got a chance to try it myself. The food was delicious, innovative, and very authentic to the south american cuisine. Being sat near the koi pond made the ambiance more romantic. Appreciated the valet service. Cant wait to go back again!
Went here for the first time on my birthday and all I can say is wow! We got to eat in one of the igloos which was a whole experience within itself. Delicious food, great staff, awesome atmosphere. What more could you ask for?!
Usually I dont say this....but this place is perfect. Kind, great bang for bucks, amazing food, valet parking (free). You need to make a reservation as the place is super duper popular. Without one, you might wait for 1hr or more!
Found this place on phantom gourmet. Boy what a find! Their website doesn’t do it justice. The place was super nice. The ambience was excellent! Way better than expected. The service was excellent! Extremely attentive. Wife wanted to try their paella which was fantastic! We stared with what we thought was the best calamari we have ever had! The pink sangria was super good! I had the los andes pollo. Besides the fries being soaked I thought was very tasty. Not a cheap meal but we Highly recommend!
This place never disappoints me, Ive been here so many times. You must make a reservation!Everyone greeds you always with a smile, its very busy but organized, its cleaned.Food to perfection, never waited too long for our food, its very fresh, warm, always satisfied on whatever we ordered. The service, not just from the waitress/waiter is amazing. With Covid this restaurant has applied to the regulations, moving tables and setting up with beautiful decor, keeping everyone safe.Prices are affordable. Always recommending it to my friends.
Been multiple times. Great Southern American cuisine & service. Definitely upscaled Latin culture in my opinion but 5/5 stars. Ive had multiple dishes & drinks with my girlfriend. Ill post some of the photos I have of their dishes.
This restaurant is fantastic!!!!! My boyfriend grew up in the restaurant business and is an amazing cook so he finds it difficult to find good restaurants that he recommends to friends and family. This is his favorite restaurant in the US. We came up and stayed overnight in the area just to eat at Los Andes. This was my first time eating here and the food and drinks did not disappoint. The staff is SO friendly, the ambiance is amazing and the food makes this a home run, 10/10. We got two Bamboleos to drink, the Ceviche Martini, the Lamb Specoal (Cordero), Bisteca Andina, Ensalada Russo, and Plantano Frito. SO Delicious!!! A must go!
Best Peruvian Food ever. It’s a huge place and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We tried the ceviche, which was perfection. The fish tacos (special). The lomo saltado was nice but on the sweeter side.Great for: families and date nights
Went for lunch with some friends. A little pricey but definitely a good bang for your buck. I am obsessed with their ceviche!! Ceviche will forever have a special place in my heart and theirs was tangy and has a good kick of spice! The main dishes were pretty big portions and their sangria is so strong. I will absolutely be coming back for the ceviche! :))I also want to come back for dinner someday!
The resturent has good ambience and vibe. The service is excellent. Food served in an order for different items to ensure it’s test. All the items are good. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend!! Advice to make reservations if possible to avoid wait time.
If you get a chance, make this a stop for dinner. My wife and I went for our anniversary and was very happy with our meals. The one con would have been the seating. We had a small table and the seats sunk in so much that you almost had to reach up to eat!
This is always one of our favorites! The good is amazing every time and they are very accommodating for allergies. The staff is really friendly and the owner is always greeting folks and making sure everything is perfect. Highly highly recommend eating here! And if you are going for the first time dont judge it by the exterior, the inside is gorgeous!
