Longdrop Cider Company - Cider bar in Boise, United States
This place seriously rocks! Small and family-run, with a wide line-up of interesting flavors. We got the flight and tried them all — so many delicious and unexpected combinations. Our kids had a blast playing with the owner’s kids, and it was super fun to meet Carissa (one of the ownersand hear all about their five-year journey to where they are today. Definitely worth a visit!
Wasnt sure about ciders as I usually drink whiskey and beer. They have a great variety that taste excellent, and the owners are very knowledgeable. Definitely stop by if you get a chance.
What a great variety of ciders. Ones that included infusion of BlackBerry, strawberry, blood orange, etc. Varying from sweet to semi-dry. Had the flight of all 8, all really goes. They were having a science night, the second Tuesday of each month. This month was a great discussion on natural weather disasters over the last few years, by a member of NOAA. They offered a food menu from Smoke & Thyme. They could ring up your cider and food, which was a nice convenience. Had the steelhead salad with fresh smoked salmon, strawberries, blueberries, pickled onions, feta, and bacon. Also had the white dog fries which are topped with bacon and a cheesy white gravy.
Business meeting with great cider as a backdrop. Had the Northwest Crisp a very pleasant taste
A selection of truly excellent ciders catering all flavours on the sweet/dry spectrum. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the gourmet food truck outside has some of the best food in Boise! Longdrop also hosts loads of events from LEGO night to Science Cafe, and they have special offers and promotions nearly every day.
This place is the best! Morgan was our bartender and she killed it! She was super knowledgeable and offered great recommendations. We will be back for sure!
Good cider. No, wait. Damn good cider. There, thats better. I like the coffee one and I dont even like coffee. Thats how good it is. The tea cider is also good but I like tea so thats to be expected I guess.
Always love going to Longdrop. Carissa is always awesome, the cider is always good and the food from Smome and Thyme is some of the best in Boise.
I had never previously tried cider. I was quite surprised and delighted by the refreshing flavor of the ciders that are available here. Samples are available the staff is outstanding, additionally the selection is quite marvelous I encourage you to come by and try one of the many delicious ciders and take some home for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
Amazing service. Very knowledgeable about cider. Love the membership perks
Great place to have a drink and play games, tried all the cider, and liked most of them. Loved the ginger peach cider!!
The decor of this place is pretty lame, but they make up for it by having delicious ciders. Like seriously, they have a great variety and some amazing ones.
Beer drinker here. This place is seriously great. It has great flavors and for us beer guys they have ciders flavored with hops. Carissa and her husband have great imaginations and I love their experimental flavors. Great work top up Topanga! 6L going back to Ohio.
Ive gone to Longdrop twice recently and love it. Most of their Ciders they have in tap 8+ are super drinkable and not to sweet. Amazing staff, actually me owner this trip and he loves his cider and his customers. I recommend the Cherry Cider but it is a seasonal.
Do not go here. Chris the owner is a hothead and doesnt pay his bills. Food is awful and nobody here has any customer service experience. Dirty glasses and silverware. I wouldnt send my worst enemy here.
Always a great selection and rotating flavors. There are very hospitable and definitely love hanging out here.
Great people. Great staff. Great drinks. You want hand craft. That is the place. Great ciders.
Actually reviewing Iron Mule coffee- open M-F 6:30am- 11am serving pour overs and perk coffee. Great service and clean cozy atmosphere with Guru donuts and Idahome pastries. Beans roasted locally. Come check it out!
This place was extremely clean and nicely organized. Im not a big cider drinker but really liked their ciders. I had a flight - coffee mule, ginger peach, wolverine and cant remember the fourth. They all tasted fresh and crisp and didnt leave a bad after taste. I loved the coffee mule. Tasted very much like coffee but also very refreshing and light.
In my life I seek out things that are special. Special people, experiences or moments. Tonight, at LongDrop Cider I found something completely special and unexpected.I came in and asked,” Eo you have a beer?” Carissa says,”yes, but I’ll talk you out of it.” She smiles and began asking me questions about my taste preference. We settled on one and it was amazing. I’d never had cider before, and to be honest, I doubt I would have discovered its sweet and complicated flavors without the intensely passionate presentation that Carissa gave me.LongDrop Cider is family-owned and operates right here in Boise. It’s an Idaho family building a legacy. Filled with long hours and moments of uncertainty, this beautiful American business is an amazing example of the best of Boise.Thank you for making my evening so enjoyable. I’ll be back soon.
Really cute place and a great selection of ciders. I wouldnt mind some other drink options, but... its a cider house. It is what I would expect. Very hospitable and knowledgeable staff.
Take a cider flight. So many great flavors to try. Friendly folks and a great product.
The only other cider I have tasted is a Boise area cider at the farmers market so didnt think I would be a big fan but really enjoyed the ciders I had at Longdrop. Also the entertainment they had was great. Really hope they bring Naomi Psalm back again.
Excellent ciders, delightful and engaged staff, and wonderful events. Cider parings? Comedy? Check out their Facebook and get your fill!
Stopped by on a warm afternoon of sightseeing in Boise. Split the flight, tried 9 ciders in total. It was quiet and just what we wanted after a day outside in the sun. It was also a Lego night, which meant we got to play with Legos.Good atmosphere, friendly staff, other customers were nice, and Legos! Whats not to love.
The service was friendly and very helpful. I do not care for ciders, but I really enjoyed the selection Longdrop had available. The ciders werent overly sweet which was a big plus for me. I will definitely be back. Changed my perspective on ciders!
Great ciders, cozy indoor and outdoor seating. Knowledgeable bar tenders. Great location. Awesome stop on the pub/brewery crawl.
The staff was super friendly and took good care of us. I was meeting with a client and they did not have any problems with us sampling and then having a business meeting. I also was able to plugin my laptop. Parking in the lot across the street is $1 per hour.
Great place! Comfortable environment and wonderful variety of ciders. Friendly staff who never forget a face.
Love me some ciders. Its small but definitely enjoyable.
Cider was good. Waitress was very nice and food was good. Unfortunately on this Friday night after a long week I was not in the mood for the dog running around and kids screaming and running around. Well give it a try another day.
I love dry cider and they have a good selection with a few dry varieties! Also some innovative sweeter ones... Something for everyone
This is a hidden gem in Boise. If you love coffee, the Cafe Mule Cider is a truly amazing cider that will blow your mind.
The customer service was absolutely incredible! Their ciders are delicious and flavorful, they are constantly coming out with new products! I would absolutely recommend to anyone!
Tonight, I dropped by randomly, and what an experience! Absolutely incredible service! But instead of bragging about that, let me tell you about their drinks! Everything on tap is an incredible unique blend you won’t find anywhere else. It is quite the memorable tastebud experience. Take the time to enjoy the flight and pick from there. I will be a recurring customer! Thank you for your Incredible drinks and exceptional service!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! :). The only negative reviews on here are because people were inconvenienced, sad! This place is great. All of their ciders are incredible (Try the Chai & Hazelnut. My new favorite is the Cafe Mule (coffee & cider-cant beat that). Nice relaxing atmosphere and its never really too busy. There is a food truck out back if youre hungry. I love that they are dog and family friendly! The service is exceptional. I hope this place doesnt close!
Their Wild Time cider wild yeast is dry, with a bit of sourdough. It’s my favorite, but isn’t for everyone. They have plenty of sweet ciders. The associated Smoke & Thyme food truck does an excellent smoked turkey and cranberry sandwich. Fries are thick, like steak fries and aren’t crispy.
Great variety of interesting ciders, nice atmosphere, and friendly people running the place. My only request is bring back the Mango Habanero cider!
Loved the cider. They have eight ciders on tap currently. I really loved the cherry and blackberry. Nice place to sit and relax and drink. They have a food truck out back if you are hungry.
Amazingly delicious, unique cider. Best cider house in town, and tasty snacks as well.
Literally had the best burger in my life here. Service was a little slow but well worth the wait. Got to try all their ciders on tap that they brew themselves. Also, the music was on point the whole time we were there.
Family friendly atmosphere, I dont have kids but I assume if I did I would appreciate a bar that showed them inside
Great location, comfy outside seating and killer cider, absolutely loved the citra hopped one
Great cider, a tasty resident food truck, and its quite.
They have great ciders and are constantly innovating. Chris was super helpful in walking me through trying the different flavors. Their new tasting location is awesome and I cant wait to see how they grow!
Amazing atmosphere and the best tasting cider in the Northwest!
They keep rolling out new craft ciders and theyre all so uniquely tasty. That said, theres a little something for everyone, whether youre into dry, sweet, spicy, fruity, etc. I hope Long Drop will be a springboard a Boise Cider Snob movement.
Amazing! Great location, super sexy and friendly bartender. The flight is a great deal and the product is sold at a lower price in here.
Amazing customer service from the first step inside until your last. An amazing selection of pure greatness that leaves the taste buds exhilarated. Blackberry, Vanilla Honey and Over Yonder are my personal favorites. If you dont know what to try, get the Flight which is a sample of all they have on tap. Its cheaper by several dollars to buy cans, bottles and fill growlers (which are sold on location or can be brought inthan at the stores that sell it. They are shooting for April to have the store being family friendly, even though they make you feel like family while you are there. I definitely recommend going at least once, though you will need to go often as their flavors are constantly changing. With a family friendly atmosphere, amazing prices, complimentary snacks and a great location, you will be hooked! All Idaho apples provide leaves this place being nothing short of desired as the perfect local tasting room. This should be 6 stars of there was such a category!
Drove out to highway 16, hours said you were open but you were not there. No one answered the phone, and message went to crooked fence. Do you still exist and where are you now located?
