Long Road Distillers in Grand Rapids
Description
Privilege
Food and cocktails were great! Stayed a little longer than expected so we wouldnt have to walk in the rain, but the thursday fries held us over!! Will be returning when theres room in my stomach.
MoreWhat a great environment. Staff and patrons were very friendly. Cocktails were AMAZING and enjoyed food as well. Next trip in town, we will definitely stop in.
MoreThe man bun, skinny jean wearing,, snake tattoo bartender was the absolute worst I’ve had. Not friendly, downright rude and pretentious. Horrible person to have representing your business. My first and last time there.
MoreAwesome variety! The tour was informational and helpful to experience the differences from one spirit to the next.
MoreThe cocktails are fantastic, they are all perfectly crafted and a perfect flavor explosion in the mouth with a nice finish. Their meals are small but perfectly plated. The cost for quality is reasonable and wait staff exceptional.
MoreStopped into the grand Haven location today. My daughter and I had a burger it was delicious. Will be back 🤙
MoreTried shot of their bourbon and whiskey. Both were quite good. Grabbed a bottle of the American whiskey for home.
MoreThis place is wonderful! The Thursday burger night is a 10/10 & Joey is great :)
Stopped at the Grand Haven street cart today! I got the “in transit“ cocktail! It was a palate delight! Very unique and delicious!
MoreOut of Tito/Lemonade at trailer. Went inside to order, drinks were watery. Ordered cauliflower wings that were so spicy after 1 bite we sent them back. Ordered baked brie with walnuts and honey. Walnuts were burnt and brie wasnt melted. Sent it back to rewarm and the brie was still not melted all the way and walnuts still burnt.
MoreThis is one of my favorite distilleries. Great place for a cocktail and food. Staff is knowledgeable of all the liquors and they get top marks for their customer service. Hope they get a Rye soon.
MoreGreat food and drinks. We enjoyed the Michigan Metropolis and Interloper drinks! The burger and maji were both great. really cool place.
MoreThe drinks and food are always amazing here. Tonight the two people behind the bar were just killing it! Just so damn impressive how they can make drinks like they do!
MoreThis place is one of the best all around distillery experiences I have ever had. Ashley was a great bartender /mixologist. She mixed fantastic beverages and was very knowledgable about the products. Here we go with the drinks and food.Absinthe- a smell of a lime with a hint of anise with a taste of licorice and pepperNocino- Clove cinnamon, gingerbread smell with a buttery clove, cinnamon with a hint of orange.Bourbon- smell of vanilla and butter and tastes buttery carmel on the front end and peppery on the back end.Drunken Dubliner burger- One of the best I have ever had with fresh cut fries. If you like the little crispies, you need to try these.Makati sling- fantastic! A simple gin drink with complex flavors. Here comes the sun- made with Michigin, so good.Last dance- a very mild non descript smell with a tart Manhattan taste. I honestly like it better than a Manhattan, because its not so overpowering sweet.Polish falcon-tastes like the best lime aid ever with a ginger kick.We will definitely need to come back to try other cocktails and take home a bottle of their line up.
MoreI had dinner and a few drinks here a week ago. The duck confit nachos were spectacular. Sampled the dry gin, and their 2 rum variations, and was equally impressed. It was trivia night, and the bartenders were getting their butts kicked, but still managed to be attentive, and even set me up with a proper absinthe drip. Definitely going back soon, to try the shrimp and grits, because I saw it and it smelled amazing!
MoreLong Road cocktails are the best! They have such a large menu of drinks. We also enjoyed the duck confit nachos. They were delicious!!
MoreMy most favorite restaurant in Grand Rapids. Stupidly delicious food, and incredible cocktails. I cant recommend this place enough.
MoreGreat spirits. Menu has improved since my last visit, still very well prepared and appropriate portion sizes. Dinning room might be too small for this level of dining experience.
MoreWe hosted our company holiday party at The Rickhouse (private upstairs space at LRDand it was a fantastic experience. I felt their prices were extremely reasonable, the staff was amazing, drinks and food were top notch and the space was perfect for our group. We look forward to hosting additional corporate events at The Rickhouse and partnering with Long Road Distillers in the future. Cheers!
MoreBar was beautiful, drinks were very good but expensive. Whiskey was ok as a mixer but at 18months not as good as Kentucky boubans. Food was a dissapointment. First our appetizer was Duck Nachoes. It didnt come out until all the food did. Then is was cold and had no or very little duck in it. My wifes shrimp was burnt and my fish and chips were about the same as grocery store frozen ones. One other in our group had the steak and it was very good and perfectly cooked. So food is a hit or miss. I think if the food had been really good i could have rated them 4 or 5 stars.
MoreWent there on new years eve. And they werent as busy as my group thought they would be. That being said, service was extremely slow. Once we got our initial drink order (delicious by the waywe waited forever to get our food ordered then actually get our food. Once we finally got it, it was...warm-ish...and whoever was in the kitchen had the supplies for a good sandwich but didnt know how to assemble it so the bottom bun was soggy for both the fishwich and hot chicken sandwich becausethe slaw was put underthe meat. For the price I probably wont go back to eat. If I want a spot to grab a drink with someone and maybe nibble at an appetizer before a movie or something, Ill probably be back. The warm drink was really something though, with the atmosphere I would definitely get it again. It was a gingerbread butter drink.
MoreLong Road has always been my favorite place to grab a delicious drink and stay for food thats just as good. With an amazing atmosphere, talented staff, and a dedication to health and safety, its at the top of my list!Recently, we held our 10-year high school reunion upstairs at the Rick House and it was stellar! Room came fully equipped and set up, and almost no decor was even needed to give it a party feel. Nicole was amazing, and so were all of the staff and our bartender! Thank you for a fun night! All they need to get a 5th star is to figure out a way to make the upstairs event space accessible to those with mobility aids.
MoreWe hosted our company party at the Rickhouse, Long Roads upstairs event space, and our experience was fantastic. The atmosphere, service, and food were outstanding, as well as the setup process. Thanks!
MoreDrinks were amazing but took forever to come out! We were half done with our food before the first round of drinks came out. Second round took longer than the first round. Duck nachos and Mediterranean platter were really good. Had to ask for our bill twice. Hopefully it was a one time thing.
MoreThey have a very great cocktail menu. The drinks were great! The dinner on the other hand was the complete opposite. These were the worst French fries I’ve ever had. Avoid future disappointment and don’t order them.
MoreDrinks were very good! The food was also tasty. The only complaint/suggestion our table had was the noise level. The music and trivia going on over the sound system was too loud. It made if difficult to sit and enjoy drinks and have a conversation.
MoreWe did the tour and tasting as part of our Anniversary trip to Grand Rapids. The tour was informative. The tasting part was great. Our favorite of the sampled spirits was the Aquavit. We bought a bottle if it and the Rasberry Liqueur to take home.
MoreDuck nachos were pretty good and drink was ok. The place is nice and friendly knowledgeable staff.
MoreDrinks were amazing (mai tai and old fashion shown). Food was good - some typical bar food but also some elevated items like steak and poke.
MoreWe are on a mini vacation and stopped here for drinks and dinner. We sat at the bar and Samantha was amazing! What a great bartender, you can tell she is passionate about her job. A true artist! She was so helpful and courteous. Andrew the bar back was also great! Will definitely come back when we are in the area. I had the steak and frites which was awesome!
MoreWow! Thats all I can really say. Absolutely incredible. The drinks were so good, the food was delicious, and the staff was super helpful. This was the perfect choice for a night out with a friend who I dont get to see very often.
MoreFirst of all I wish NO STARS was an option. My partner and I had never been here before, but have purchased the bottles and enjoyed. We decided to come for food and drinks and check it out. We got a table immediately, but that’s when the big let down began. We sat for 25 min and not a single one of the wait staff that were standing around talking with each other near the doorway came and even offered us water… we sat and sat… other tables were checked on here and there… it’s not like it was busy. It was about 70% full inside and clearly there was free time to visit with fellow coworkers… but not serve first timeguests. I was deeply disappointed after liking the bottled products. I’m big on local michigan business, especially distilleries and breweries. I talk about it and spread the word. You could say I preach it. This was LRD’s loss. I won’t be returning. I won’t be buying their products. I won’t be spreading positive words about my experience. The manager acted surprised when she was part of the problem gabbing in her circle of friends. She offered us a round of free drinks to which I declined. You want my business? Serve my table. Don’t try to bribe me back after your mistake. Please pay much better attention to your customers. This was unacceptable.
MoreDoing their best in times of covid. Serving takeout + their store is open to buy bottles of their crafted liquor selections + canned cocktails to go! Oh yah, and they make santizer as well!
MoreWe went there for a rehearsal dinner. The staff was attentive, the food was great, and the drinks were delicious! They even had gluten free options available for my sister and I who are celiac. Not only are they nice, but they go above and beyond to make life events special! Thank you!
MoreGreat place, atmosphere is mellow and inviting. Interesting and unique drink menu.
MoreThis is a really fun distillery with a wide array of spirits distilled in-house which contributes to a diverse and interesting list of craft cocktails. The cocktail list is so long that its actually rather hard to decide what to order! The two I tried were very unique and delicious. Between the great drink list and friendly staff I would definitely stop in again!
MoreSuper cool aesthetic, delicious cocktails, and friendly staff! I had a lemon slushie cocktail which they had on special.. it was a bit sweet but very tasty nonetheless. Id never heard of Aquavit before coming here, so Im glad I got to try something new! Definitely recommend 🙂
MoreBeautiful distillery. The menu is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. They have two floors and host events. They are a great venue and have a wonderful catering and menu option. I was here for a bridal event and they did a phenomenal job. Drinks and food are top notch. I would recommend for a night out as well.
MoreWonderful selection of distilled spirits and house made food. Enjoyed sharing appetizers between the 5 of us before diving into the main course. Knowledgeable and attentive service!
MoreSeriously yummy! I’m obsessed with the gin fizz. I have to get it every year when I go back to Michigan. Also enjoy trying whatever new items they have on the menu.
MoreLove this place for their cocktails and overly delicious food. The servers and bartenders are super nice and helpful with the menu. Cant go wrong with whatever you decide to get.
MoreUnique drinks and delicious burgers. I appreciated the Michigan made/themed drink list. They have many of your standard cocktails or drinks, with flights of all their alcohols, as well as a handful of interesting concoctions to imbibe. It can be rather loud so unless you want to keep close company, conversations can be a little hard.
MoreSynopsis: hand crafted drinks and a warm, inviting atmosphere make this a distillery a must visit.Review: my friend and I arrived during happy hour at 5pm I’m a Friday. It wasn’t extremely busy and we sidled up to the bar. We were immediately greeted and given a glass of water while we checked out the menus. We each had two drinks each - drinks that were made right in front of us - and each was delicious. The Adult Soda, for $4, will be a future staple for me.We didn’t try any food, but what I saw looked appetizing. If you’re looking for atmosphere and tasty liquor drinks this is the spot for you!
MoreNice Distillery! We didnt eat, but the menu looked good. We got the orange vanilla vodka creamsicle and they were amazing.
MoreTASTY! I love the descriptions for each of the drinks. The distillery is GORGEOUS!Got here when the kitchen was closed, but we’re looking forward to returning in trying out all the goodies!TIP—> A. B. Garden was delicious— light & refreshing with mint, green tea, and cucumber.
More1st time here and it didnt disappoint. Every week they have a feature; tonight was seafood boil. Next week is wings. And the Michigin is amazing! I think it is the Beaver Island juniper berries that make it special.
MoreThe food is decent and the drinks are incredible. If you like ginger-beer related beverages, this is a must-visit spot. Ive also been to events in their upstairs area, and for a small group, Id argue its one of the better low-key venues in GR.
MoreAwesome bartenders, really great liquors and all housemade mixers as well. Had a few different drinks and they were all fantastic! Also a very cool little spot, although some nights there isnt any room, so there is a wait. Oyster nights are awesome, brunch is good as well.
MoreWere really impressed with this Distillery. The liquors are very high quality and the cocktail we had was amazing. I would also go as far as saying that the alcoholic ice cream we had was some of the best ice cream Ive ever tasted (without even considering the alcoholic bonus!). They have cocktails on draft that are really cheap because of the happy hour prices.
MoreGood knowledgeable staff, food is fresh and well prepared. The house made liquors are competent but nothing really to write home about. For example the Bourbon whiskey here is $45 a bottle but its on par with a bottle of base Jim Beam, whereas you could buy a bottle of single barrel Four Roses for that.As an experience, this is a great addition to the Grand Rapids dining scene.
