Long John Silver's Maurine in Wichita Falls

Staff was super friendly and helpful but the food all tasted the same... like grease.

Terrible customer service. Sign on door says closes at 10. We entered before 8:30, placed our order and someone from the kitchen yelled out "do they know we have to cook to order, so they will have to wait!" We let them know that was fine. Evidently it wasnt fine for the person in charge because she stomped around cleaning and grumbling. The condiments had already been taken up, so they had to bring little packets to us, it seemed to peeve her that we asked for tartar sauce at a fried fish restaurant. I think if wed gone through the drive up window, everything would have been ok, because she was sweet as candy to those ordering outside, but since we came in and she was cleaning up to close, it wasnt ok. Our order was wrong, we ordered a #11 and was given a #12. We did not say a word, didnt want to be responsible for her busting gut. Long story short, not going back, have been there many times throughout the years on our travels through Wichita Falls. We have never felt so unwanted as customers anywhere, so thats the last time we will be a bother to the people at this LJS!

Everyone was extremely nice and the food was hot and delicious. Will be back soon. They went above and beyond and I am Thankful

Took 25 minutes for my order. Restaurant wasnt busy. Fish was recooked and dry. Dont waste youre time.

Food is really good. The drive thru intercom is broken, so you have CV to order at the drive thru window. But other than that its all good

Some of the worst service Ive ever received at a restaurant. Until I see a sign that says Under New Management I will not go back.

The food wasnt good at all and I really wanted to take it back but I live too far away by

the worst restaurant ever. cant get any orders correct. out if everything. worst customer service ever. the cashier even ask four times what we ordered and still couldnt get order correct. dont go there ever.

I love too give them 0 star but they wont let me . My girl and i order too go they had time to get the food right why cus it was a full hr.When we got or order we left got home and the food was not cook all the why .Is there a why too post pics i want to show youll pics and youll wont like them .

Waited 20 mins for our food, along with 4 others that was ahead of us then the order wasnt right. This fish tasted funny so we didnt eat it there was only 2 girls working the window and front one cooking the other running the window and front. She was really sweet and nice. Idk maybe it was a bad light to have long Johns disappointing

I came and ordered food for my family in a dark unlit driveway, unlit menu and the noise was so bad that the employee couldnt hear me and had me drive up to the window to order. After receiving my order it was incorrect. I asked for the 8 peice chicken family meal with fries for both sides. I also asked for lots of tarter sauce and only got 6 packets. Not real pleased! Also when I said something to the employee about the menu being dark, she said yeah they just need to close this place down. Needless to say I wont be returning to this location again....

I dont know whats going on here, but the establishment screams "help". The building looks like its falling apart, and there seems to be a lack of management.I imagine they do not get much business lately.Advice for them.1. Neglecting to change frier oil does not help save money. It just makes things taste gross.2. Chicken, fries, and fish. Should all have separate frying vats. They shouldnt taste like one another....ever.3. Remodel or relocate. The inside of your building gives customers the feeling something will fall in their food. Clean it up, repaint, get new ceiling tiles and benches. Its old, and delaptidated looking.4. I never see a store or general manager, I really hope you have one. They keep the things unmentioned in check, as well as what I have mentioned. You need someone to enforce the franchise, and maintain quality, you cant leave that to the general employees.

The place smell like sewer! I ordered the fish sandwich . The bread was firm not soft . The sandwich was not good just something didnt taste right. The place was sorta clean. Employees were nice.

Make sure to check your order before you leave the drive through. The lady taking orders did not listen to anything I said. My order was the complete opposite of what I said.

Wow! Just walking in this place you know you are in for a terrible experience. I was two steps in and atrocious smell almost knocked me down. It smelled like something you would experience driving by a sewage treatment facility. At the order counter, the service was so incredibly rude, I decided to leave.

The people are what makes this place worth stopping in to eat!!! Food is good for LJS and the building could use some updates. Food is always hot and fresh though!

The food was good even tho it took like 20 mins to get..the place is need of a remodel ASAP......and they need to hire so more people you can tell...

The food was great. The service was horrible!! The timeline was the worst Ive ever had!!! 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon, 2 other tables in the restaurant. We ordered the all you can eat, and it took 25 minutes to get our first order!!!!!!! Seriously, people. There were only 2 workers there, but they werent busy and both workers stayed in the kitchen. We decided to re.order and when she came to the counter, she asked for our plate and threw it away. When I said we werent finished with it, she said its ok, we were getting more. She failed to say it would take another 20 minutes. Im not exaggerating about the timeline. When we got our reorder, we took it with us because we had things to do. We were there for 1 hour 35 minutes at a fast food place. Ridiculous. No excuses, no apologies, just, it takes time to cook your food!?! Im guessing they were cooking to order?We were there

Long John should be closed. The smell when you enter the restaurant is very bad. Smells like sewer. I understand it is the grease trap. It should be cleaned and the smell removed. Ordered food but was unable to tolerate the smell. Food was not bad.

It wad awesome. Ladys working there are fun. Our food was great!

Normally its a great place with good food, but my last experience made me drop a couple of stars. I dont know if they mopped the floor with toilet water or if there was a sewer line break but i couldnt finish my meal because of the smell. Theres didnt have silverware available other then knives. & while waiting on an employee to ask for some forks, I heard about employee telling in back i like to party party party. Thats great, party after work but do your job while you are here.

That restarant needs adult supervision Well all the reviews are true. It smells . The are very slow 25 minutes. And they got my order rong . . It took them 10 minutes just to take my order and no one was in front of me .

Uncooked batter and severely understaffed. Wont answer the phone so I can warn them about possible oil temp issue. Perhaps health dept will have better luck.

The whole building needs an entire renovation top to bottom. Not a safe place to eat . Food still taste good. Manager do something.

They couldn’t even be bothered to unlock the door. Waited for about 10 minutes and then we called them and asked them to open door. They didn’t sound like they cared so we left.

Stank in there like sewer, food was average LJS. Just needed my grease fix. Seems all of these establishments are ran down and beyond needing to be just cleaned

I waited in the drive through behind one other car for 28 minutes. No one came to the window to talk to the car ahead the entire wait. When I finally got to the window I asked what the holdup was and was told "waiting on food" before the window was closed. The wait for my food was short but when the food was ready, Gigi didnt say a word until I asked for her name. I see a need for customer service training. While the delay most likely wasnt Gigis fault, the uncaring attitude certainly was.

Had to wait 30min.for food got 1 meal an told me I only ordered but changed for 2 meals very impolite dont think Ill go back

Usually the food is usually good but other times I been here the chicken and fish was real greasy also, could tell by taste that the deep fryer grease oil was old.

Went in at 11am and the place was empty. One car on front of me at the drive through and waited 10 mins. Then I got to the window and they didn’t even have my order started yet. I had to re order. Got back to work and the food wasn’t right. It’s been 3 years since I had been to this location and now I’m sure I won’t be back.

The air conditioning was broken. It was 115 outside. They had two fans in the dining room. None pointing at guest just the front counter. The cashier was to busy with her phone. Acted as if we where a burden for her to take our order. Finding a somewhat clean table was a whole new job. After cleaning a table myself we sat and waited for our food. Finally get our food just to have to fight the hundreds of flies to eat it. Ended up getting food poisoning. We was on our way to my sons heart surgery. Which made the wait for the news he made it even worse. This place should be closed to all living things!

We love the food at Long Johns, BUT at thus location, on Maurine St. Wichita Falls leaves a LOT to be desired in the cleanliness dept. The floors of the dining room ALWAYS appear greasy. The floors appear to be mopped with a greasy mop. Just nasty looking. Place needs a make over.

They really have turned around their store. The food was hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and made us feel like home!

The food was great and the lady taking our order was super super sweet. Its July 22 and we are setting heat records in Wichota Falls and this place hasnt had AC since March. Grease trap smelt like sewer gas. They need to bulldoze and rebuild this place.

Food is excellent, but bathrooms and over all establishment not very clean.

I was passing through for the night and ate there for dinner. The neighborhood seemed a little iffy (as in run downat first glance but the people all were nice enough. Unfortunately, the locations building was definitely run down. The ceiling by the front windows was being held up by a pole with card board or paper attached at the end. Im not really sure how that meets Code. As far as the food goes, I dont have any complaints.

Bad experience, no air conditioning out order. Only one fryer was working. No place for workers to be working in too hot to be working in there. Services was great. Poor building conditions. Need to either reppair the building or close it down. Costumers were hot and sweating so bad. Had to wait along time for orders to come out.

I love eating clams at Long John Silvers and have eaten at LJS all over the county. The LJS on Maurine St. is the worst. They are notorious for over-cooking the clams. And for the most part, I find the ladies working there a bunch of sourpusses. They dont even acknowledge the ringing of the bell to complement the food.

Sat in the drive thru for over 10 minutes at 11:30 in the am. Then sat at the window while people who were working just walked around. We just left and went to Whataburger!

Nice service. Delicious food. But they need some bleach in their mop bucket. The whole place smelled like a moldy mop. Everything was great. Clean too!

They always have the kindest, most pleasant workers here. Great place to eat. Love it.

Food is good but dont have heaters to heat the restaurant when its cold outside.

I can honestly say this is one place l dont know how they are still open. Food is nasty store is dirty. Enployees outside smoking in there aprons coming back to work in same aprons. JUST NASTY.

Over working or passing duties of another worker is a labor issue. The cashier was not recognized for going beyond work duties. Advise we do it anyway. This cashier should get a pay raise or promotion.Food should be cooked hot and fresh for Customers all the time . We traveling not get a bubble gut for cold food.This restaurant need to be upgraded and restroom need remodeling floor towel is horrible.

The guy at the drive thru is a total a$$! Very rude doesnt listen to what i ordered got my complete order wrong and has no manners at all!! Never once smiled, not ever once said thank you! I refuse to do business there again because the man doesnt deserve to get a paycheck and im not waisting my money here for my order to be wrong i will go to the one on kemp from now on!

This place is a joke. New Years Eve with only 1 person working. Then we pull up to go inside and it happens to be 7 pm but guess what the one employee decides to close the lobby at 7 pm while he had a couple of friends inside. Started posting the signs as we walked up to the door. Im in management and this is no way to run your business. Its fine if you close lobby but do not wait till 7 PM to put up the signs that the lobby will close at 7pm.
