Ive dined in and ordered to go from this restaurant. I have no complaints. Delicious food. Kind and timely service. Will definitely go again if Im in the area.

Chicken broth & chips are good. Most dishes are decent. Service is good.

I came to this restaurant with a group of friends and I am so disappointed in the service that was provided. For a little context among my group of friends there is an African American women. The 4 of us walked in and got seated and only 3 of us received a menu and silverware. When we were going to leave my African American friend wanted a to-go box and I asked for it and when the lady brought it back she completed ignored my friend standing up with her hand extended for the box and gave to to me. This is the worst service and the discrimination was unacceptable.

Ive been to a lot of great Mexican restaurants in Chicago, and I have to say this place can go toe to toe with them. Everything tastes great and is prepared well. Good prices, as well.

Super rude over the phone, they hung up on me multiple times, the lady that finally answered the phone was rude as can be you can tell she hates her job. I asked to pay with my card over the phone and she said no we have too many people pay cash. So I told her to never mind I will never go there and their food is not even good.

Honestly I love this place. I was super nervous to try when we moved here 3 years ago because it just doesnt look great but I did and havent gone anywhere else. Their burritos are fantastic, their soup, their sopes, their tacos... everything! I have not been disappointed once in three years with this place! And we eat here at least twice a month. Highly recommend to any and everyone!

This is my go to spot for Mexican food. I’ve been here a dozen or more times over the past year and it never disappoints. When I dine in, the complementary soap always leaves me wanting more, it’s that good. I would recommend!

We’ve always been curious about this restaurant, we see the big red build with the chicken on top and was like it looks different! The size looks big from the outside but it was cozy inside. They were busy with take out but we were seated right away and server was really nice. Food had a lot of flavor. Horchata was a little sweet, ended up getting another drink that was a guava lemonade. The little sopa they give you before your meal, it was like a special treat that I have no idea. We’ll definitely be going back to try more dishes.

I cant rate lower chicken was raw sometimes tue tortillas are cold in the packages and when tehe tortillas r warm they gave u just 6 tortillas for a whole chicken ....very disgusting

Tacos dry Nachos a big no and 6 dollars for fries bad experience. Paid for my food and began to exit and was stopped because they didn’t charge me for the fries then realized they never gave me the fries either go somewhere else!!!

The service is horrible, the staff is as cold as the place. I can not believe how they can mess up the simplest order. The Consume was horrible.It seemed more of a vegetable soup. Hardly any chicken

If youre looking for a great Mexican homemade cooked meal, this is the place. The homemade food gives it a plus in my book. From the rotisserie chicken to the soup in the cup everything tastes fresh not to mention the drink variety at the bar. Staff is always so attentive and friendly a family friendly establishment overall.

The food is always great. Its literally the only place in Lake County I can order crispy tacos de tripa. Great drinks and friendly staff.

What a treat that we were all served soup before our entrees regardless of what we ordered. The service was super friendly and the restaurant was impeccably clean.

The food is ok, but the Staff is very rude. They need to work on their customer service. I’ve came in many times over the years, thinking maybe they have changed and every time I walk out disappointed.

The tacos, rice and Gorditas de chicharron arent very satisfactory. Wouldnt recommend coming here if youre looking to eat any of these Mexican dishes. The service could also use some work.

Best Mexican food in Lake County!!As a regular customer for over 10 years, I can say they consistently serve excellent food and have no equal. The restaurant has a bustling busy atmosphere and is very lively. The rotisserie chicken is the best Ive tasted, the consomme is to die for, and its one of the very few places I know of that does a cemitas sandwich.

We moved away from RL and decided to drive to Lomelis for early dinner. It was great just like I remembered! Hot, Fresh & Tasty! Fast service!I use to cater from them when we had our dance club in Grayslake and everyone raved about the food!! Thanks again!

Best Sopes you can find. Rarely disappointed with our meals or the experience. Great for both take-out and dine-in. Their Sopes are made fresh with a delicious, crispy bottom and generous toppings.

My family and I have been going here since we moved to the area about 4 years ago. This is hands down, the best restaurant for Mexican food. Food has always been spot on and the quality is what stands out. Staff is very friendly and for how busy they can get with pick up orders; they continue to focus on the speed & accuracy of their orders and organization.

I will NEVER eat here again!I will tell everyone I know to not give them their business.I never write reviews & choose to let things be bc I have worked in CS & restaurants before.However, this establishment is rude & unprofessional. I have never had a problem with them in person but 3x I have used Grubhub to order from them the messed everything up.I finally decided to address it with them.The lady who claimed she was the manager 1st blamed the driver, then the app, and the got agitated & stories started to conflict.I told her that I was unwilling to get charged $50 for food i NEVER RECIEVED & the other half was all wrong!She refused to take ownership of any of the times.Kept blaming driver who also speaks Spanish (like myself).Had him on 3way & she kept insisting he lied & he messed up order. We got a refund from Grubhub.We tried to call back & to our surprise the phone was not taking our calls.I will NEVER go here again & disappointed in CS & of people in my culture who act like this. Shame on them for charging people for food not received. And mind you the first 2x it was only a difference of $5.This time over $50. Imagine how many more people they do like this who dont complain bc under $5. Crooks!!

The food here is always phenomenal. Either dine in or take out, its always fresh and tastes amazing. The servers are very kind and always check to make sure youre happy. Pick up process is seamless.

Everything is good and well prepared the Sopa they serve is good, waiters are polite and helpfull, restaurant always looks clean.

The food is absolutely awesome but the service is terrible. I call in for a carry out and tell the lady on the phone what I would like and gives a tone of attitude. Then when I go inside to get my order, it comes incomplete, and have to wait 20 minutes for the rest of my order. Other than that, your food is 5 stars so great job.

This place is a staple in Round Lake, everyone knows about it. The food is great not going to lie, it is authentic Mexican food. I’ve been coming here since I can remember but service was always a 50/50. My family and I only order take-out (for the last 5 yearsso we don’t mess with service, so I honestly don’t know how they service people there anymore. I give them four stars because we just deal with the food not the people. I recommend chorizo sopes, tacos de Asada (with cheeseand the pollo rostisado.

Upon walking in, we stood there confused on whether or not we seat ourselves. 3 adults and one teen we were told to sit anywhere. The bartender brought the menus after waiting a bit. We werent impressed by the service. As for the food. I dont believe this restaurant uses any salt. Everything was bland. Bland, bland, bland. From the chips and guacamole to the rice and beans. Absolutely no taste. No spices. I had such high hopes in coming here. I wish I took pictures of the food. It all looked so very delicious. But looks are deceiving.

Seriously the worst service! Our waitress was so rude trying to rush us even tho they took forever. Had to ask twice for silverware never got any refills had to ask for the bill 4 times you would think because we were a group of 8 our service would have been better. I honestly hate eating in here. The food is good but I highly recommend you take it to go. Having a successful business you would think they would work on there customer service. I felt like our waitress was entitled because she knew she was going to be tipped anyways because our bill came with the tip already added on. Anywhere else you go the customer service is so much better. Such a regret spending so much money there.

The very best burrito ever! There chicken is just amazing to as all there food is. The service is top notch, extra kind and always with a smile. The meals come with yeah Im delicious homemade soup. A decent bar for cocktails and cervezas.If you can find a better Burrito on Lake County please let me know!

I love this place. Food is always really good. Delicious, free chicken soup for everyone at the table before you eat. The service is sometimes hit or miss, but nothing thats unbearable. Ill be back many times.

Staff is very slow. Ordered for pick up simple 6 tacos. Got there 5 minutes early from the time it was suppose to be ready. I can see my food already with my ticket and the ladies asked if I was dining or taking out told them my name and I had a pick up they saw my order and continued to help other people. She took my food out from the heat thing left the food on a table and walked away. Waitined for about an other 5 min and she finally grabbed my order. My food was cold. Never againMy total wait time 15 min when my order was already done at the time I had arrived.

I eat here all the time with my family, we order take out too. The chicken is amazing. I love the grilled shrimp. It feels good for families too. The waitresses are all friendly.

Easily my favorite restaurant. Though service can at times be a little slow, the food and atmosphere make up for it. The complimentary chips and salsa are good and spicy, the accompanying soup has a bite but is delicious and hearty. The food is affordable and the portions are large and I have yet to be disappointed by the taste or the spice it can bring. HUGE RECOMMEND.

Its a MEXICAN restaurant so staff speaks mostly Spanish and you seat yourself and do not wait for your bill.A little common sense goes a long way here.The food is good to excellent and the value is fantastic.Mostly locals eat here for good reason. This is not a fancy place with professional staff, its just really good food on the cheap.

I love the food and thats the only reason Ill come back. My waitress/server seemed as though she was either, really nervous or was a new employee. I also like the salted spices they add to the top of their beer glasses. Ill never drink abother beer again, until I find out what they put around the glass. Yummy ^^

I think this place is a real inflation fighter. I love the food here. For what they serve you you get your moneys worth and then some. Since Ive been here many many times Im proud to say that I have never had a bad meal. I am NOT somebody involved in the restaurant Im just a customer who enjoys good food at a reasonable price.
