Nice little place. Breakfast was reasonably priced and not overly fancy. Would go back again

Breakfast menu is tasty and good value, but really sub-par quality fish and chips, do not recommend these.Service also leaves a little to be desired - it doesnt help that the manager is micro-managing and constantly yelling at her staff.

Worst service I have ever received here in Australia. I arrived at the restaurant and said good morning and the owner said that I was being rude and not to interrupt her. But I just said good morning. Please dont go to this establishment, they dont have the least respect and education.

Wonderful friendly cafe. Good coffee, see the locals in their natural habitat.

Good coffee, good breaky (the early bird special is pretty good). Visited twice and was great both times.

First time weve ventured north to this little cafe and now I wonder why we took so long to try it! Absolutely fabulous breakfast menu but we both opted for the acai bowls & they were delicious. Coffee good. Service quick and attentive. Now I cant wait to go back and work my way through the menu...and then go for lunch as well. Perfect spot to sit and soak up morning sun.

Coffee is great. Service with smiles but didn’t feel genuine. As I was leaving I could hear a manger yell at the staff.

What a hidden gem for Broadbeach.. service was very friendly, breakfast was served quickly, nice coffee. Prices are really below what youd expect for the Gold Coast area. Definitely worth a visit.

50 minutes for a basic fisherman basket and not a peep from staff re delays prior to ordering….not ideal. Food was nice tough :)

Sat for 30mins, no water, no acknowledgement, eventually got up to get my own menus... Still no order taken... We said the Customer Service is bad .. the lady with the glasses replied "i know".. pathetic!

Not usually one to leave a review but deemed it necessary after observing the owner interacting with staff while waiting for my food. I watched a cranky lady continue to order and berate her staff around in the most rude manner I’ve ever seen. I felt like saying to the young man copping her sprays that surely it’s time to hang up the apron and go and work for someone who respects the work he was doing. I felt sorry for him when he didn’t heat her croissant to her exact temperature requested as she certainly let him know about it while he was busy serving the entire cafe. If you would like to witness a real “Karen” in her element be sure to get yourselves down to Lola’s and watch her at work (or lack of work).

Super lovely people run the shop, good quality food as well have been many times will go many more.

Stopped for lunch. Hubby ordered fish n chips, with a side salad. The rocket / salad was soggy and the meal was cold.I ordered Nachos, it came out cold, the cheese dry and the corn chips were stale.Disgusting food.

I am absolutely horrified. The way the lady with the red hair who works in the back treats her staff is horrendous.Dishing out orders one after the other, screaming at the staff and treating them like absolute dirt - I was so sad to experience this and after witnessing the way she treated this poor young boy, I will not order from here again.The young man who worked behind the counter was obviously distressed and my partner and I both really felt for him.Everyone: if you plan on eating here, please don’t. Please don’t support this business. Until the owner or whoever the abusive lady with the red hair is sorts out her abusive manners, DO NOT eat from here.I am absolutely appalled.Clearly the reason they were understaffed and all the pressure was on this young man was because no one wants to work for a woman like this.

Extremely slow service, front counter worker is obviously not happy to be working there. I just want my pineapple fritter :(

Food is good. It was hot and fresh and delivered in a decent time. Service is questionable and the lady behind the counter was rude when my friends and I asked where the bin was. I would absolutely recommend going here for food but it’s definitely not service with a smile.Would also like to mention that the fish should be handled with tongs and not with bare hands during covid times - saw this first hand from the ordering counter.

open air cafe, with covering to protect from rain and sun. breakfast bacon, eggs, hash browns was excellent. breakfast wrap was also good. very good service. Fish and chip shop also very good. Family pack gives generous servings for fish, chips, calamari and potato scallops.

A bit tired and could do with a spruce up. However the food is reasonably priced and coffee pretty good. Not the trendy end of Broadbeach but still very nice surroundings. Staff attentive and friendly.

Unfortunately our experience was not a good one other than the wait staff. Food was ordinary, plastic packaging was found in the Benedict, almond latte was split on arrival and not taken back. Front of house at pay station was chaotic. I was physically moved out of the way by a staff member as I was waiting to pay, rather than being asked to move.

Standard food, but Great service makes all the difference. And we ate for 4 of us for $40, which is unique these days. Enjoyed our hour there, I’m happy to recommend 👍🏻

to the red head old lady. learn some manners. the way you treat your young workers is disgusting, you should be ashamed. the restaurant is lovely but jesus she RUINS it.

Ordered Takeaway coffee which was great. The guy at the counter (Alexwas amazing and friendly. The chef was rude to the staff and I could hear him yelling from the counter. Think I’ll wait outside next time.

You can’t help but notice the unorganised chaos that unfolds in the kitchen and FOH areas. Not only are the staff loud enough to hear every rude comment about customers but whoever the older redhead Lady is she is also extremely rude to her own staff. Young kids, i’d guess 14/15 years old, being told to do 8 different things at the one time whilst still trying to clear the floor and run the till. I waited 10 mins or so for someone to take my order before getting up and ordering at the counter to takeaway. No staff to greet you or let you know how it works etc just disappointed, I have only just moved into the area and wanted to find my new local hub but I think I best take my business elsewhere. Any feedback to you would be to be kinder to your staff!

Great little Cafe, visiting from Sydney grabbed a big brekkie & latte. Great portions well priced & really good coffee. Can definitely recommend.

I ordered flake and chips, from the takeaway part of this shop.I received severely overcooked “fish”, I’m not sure what fish it was.. it was as tough as cardboard. I’m very disappointed. My search for a good fish and chip shop on the Gold Coast continues.Customers were asked to wear a mask, but the young who served me wore his around his chin as did the lady in the kitchen cooking, another young guy in the shop was not wearing a mask at all.Definitely won’t be going back here to form a second opinion!

We only stopped by for takeaway coffee and brekky, but it was a great experience. We ordered at the counter and waited on the sidewalk (due to Covid-19- we didnt have to wait long. The staff were friendly, the coffee was hot and delicious, there were numerous food options and it is located perfectly right near the beach and surf club. It appears to be a popular choice 👌

The most appalling experience, the red headed lady treats her staff like rubbish and is loud and obnoxious banging clashing while she clears tables. Staff are clearly miserable and understandably. Food is good but the environment is toxic and awful. Won’t be back

Our order was incorrect and we waited forever. After phoning,, it was fixed. What will stop us from ever going there again is the owner lady who yells at her staff and treats them with the worst contempt i have ever witnessed. Bullying at its worst. Reading other comments confirmed what we witnessed. Truly embarrassing and makes customers VERY uncomfortable. Please learn BASIC management skills and anger management, and JUST demonstrate human DECENCY.

Great little cafe! Staff were very friendly and the locals made great conversation. Meals were affordable and atmosphere was comfortable and family friendly. Highly recommend if you are looking for a comfortable, quality, budget breakfast and welcoming staff. The staff even ran a bag we left at the table across the road to us! Thank you Lolas Broadbeach. Will be back over the Christmas Holidays.

Eggs Benedict were amazing . Coffee also. Nice and strong . Didn’t meet or hear Lola, so can’t comment 🤣🤣🤣.Staff well organised and courteous.

Staff are amazing! Always cheerful and friendly. Coffee is great. The stars are for them.Major downside is the manager (Im guessing Lolasuper rude to her staff. Really ruins the atmosphere.

Fantastic service and great food at low prices. Only reason for the low rating was an older lady sitting down who I assume to be the manager yelling incredibly rudely at her stuff despite their prompt and exceptional service.I would love to see recognition from management of their employees

Professional service, friendly staff will greet you at Lolas cafe. A good selection is on the menu for breakfast everything is fresh. Coffee is perfect each time Ive been, friends always talk about the breakfast at Lolas. Havent had the experience of enjoying lunch but the specials on the menu look enticing.

From the outside doesnt look like much but great place for an all-day breakfast feed! Eggs benedict with a heaping mound of bacon, the perfect poached egg and an endless pile of hollandaise sauce. Coffee was lovely and customer service from Joel was top notch. Will definitely be hitting this place up again.

Disgusting dont waste your money or time overcooked food, greasy and just yuk. Kids wouldnt even eat it

By far the worst fish & chips I’ve ever eaten.Go to Lolas Fish & Chips if you want to pay:🐟 $25 for 1 piece of overcooked Hoki (definitely frozen)🐟 Old chips🐟 extremely oily and overcooked potato scallops& tiny slithers of chewy calamariI’ve have been twice hoping today’s experience would be better but even more disappointing than the first.It’s quite embarrassing really.You guys need to seriously look at your pricing, invest in FRESH FISH (this is the Gold Coast for goodness sake and either teach your team how to properly cook seafood OR invest in a new cook that knows what he is doing

We regularly attend this cafe for their very well priced breakfast. $5.50 Early Bird breakfast consisting of bacon and eggs with turkist bread toast. The staff a friendly and we enjoy their coffee and or tea. They also have the Rewardle Points program. It would be lovely to see a shop refit out to modernize the cafe but otherwise it is a relaxing environment.

Oily fish and chips, the worst I’ve ever had in Australia. My friends ordered a burger which was ok they said. Not coming back for sure.

Ordered take away fish and chips for my family when we were on holiday, and got tasteless food because they did not sprinkle any salt on it. Obviously, I did not have any salt at the hotel, so everyone was disappointed with the dinner. I also bought tar tar source there, but it was too sour. Fish was pretty good though.
