Lokál Pod Divadlem - Restaurant in Pilsen, Czech Republic
Good beer and food, but overcrowded. Better to visit garden place in front in summer. .
One of the best Pilsner Urquell in Pilsen
Great place for beer and food!!
Nice atmosphere. It would be better if the servers could give recommendations and explain the food. Menu is better if they explain which meat is inside the sausages.
Only had a quick drink but it had good service and good beer. Didnt have any food but it looked good. The decor was pretty cool too
Nice place with style in an old building where you still see the old wall paintings. Dauly changeling menus
Amazing beer. I cant wait until I get back here again.
This is a great local restaurant in the heart of Plzen, and it is very close to Saint Bartholomew Cathedral. When I was at Start Up Coffee, I asked the owners where I can go to get a good local meal, and they suggested that I should go to Lokal Pod Divadlem. I was not disappointed! The food was good, affordable, and the staff were friendly.
Great beer! Reasonable
Nice place to have solid classical Czech beer
For me personally this place is overrated. If you keen drinker of beer you might appreciate it. I didnt finish my beer and they already ask if I want new one. Then we waited long time for our food which was nice but portion pretty small compared to price. Staff is good but sometimes they dont pay attention.
Not bad, servis is ok, food is ok, beer ok...The bad side is that there is no vegetables on the main course, little bit expensive but generally its OK
Nice location. Outside seating. Lots of drinks and food to choose from. Friendly service. And the toilets are clean and on ground level. (Other places here love to have them downstairs what makes them hard to reach areas for mobility restricted people!)Fair prices.
Ask for mlíko (mlee-ko). Its like beer and whipped cream made a baby
The pork Belly was excellent.
Very tasty and good quality food in buffet system. The only place were staff was friendly since we were in Czech Republic
No fuss, filling and decent food. We had pickled camembert, schnitzel fried in butter and the fried cheese, all very good. The service was attentive and friendly too.
Very nice environment and good service. Very friendly.
The price/quality ratio is rather unequal. Most of the dishes are over priced. During our visit we received one half of the burger without the second bun what actually is really amusing ‘cause I can not even imagine how it could happen. The baked potatoes were over cooked but anyway okey. The service was good and if they had different meal options, I’d give it a second chance. But anyway it’s just the point of personal taste. If u r in Plzen, give it a try. Overall 3.5/10
Beer Beer Beer. I think that was the only vegan option they have (and a salad). So if you like beer (they certainly have other beverage, too), meat and a good atmosphere, enjoy your time there!
Food was ok. We ordered beer food as it was beer weekend. It is something between pub and a restaurant, with being kind of fancier pub. Food prices look normal for Czech republic but sides are sold separately and beer is not that cheap. Expect to pay ~300czk for beer and goulash.I liked sweet stuff the most.
Excellent beer, great food, traditional Czech cuisine. The location is good, it’s possible to sit outside in the summer. It’s a very popular place, so I recommend booking a table in advance.
Very good tank beer, friendly staff and good food. Our ribs were perfect, you could easily take out the bone. The tatarák is delicious.
We’ve arrived at 23pm, and a male staff member allowed our group in (14 people)..We’ve noticed that a female colleague, with blonde hair wasn’t happy about people coming in at such hours. But onde that we were allowed in, we have got a seat and asked for something to eat and a few beers. Two of my collegues asked about the available wine, and the female colleague got crazy, bumping into as, throwing one of my friends phone info the table, beeing all around really rude.Definitly not to come back.
Lovely traditional czech food.
Asolutely great beer and very tasty food. You wont regret visiting this place.
Decent place to pop some Pilsner Urquell. Beer is poured from "tanks", which are large vats of beer straight from the brewery, so your brew is as fresh as it gets. Food is your average, Czech pub grub, with some special choices on the daily menu. My fried cheese was stable. Servers take pride in pouring beer, so its overall a nice experience. Only downside - It was a Sunday so we could only pop 8 out of the 99 beers marked on the cool order ticket :)
The food is great, the stuff is friendly and it’s located near the city center. You can check typical Czech knedliki or gulaš there :)
They has a good beer. Approximetaly 2 euro 1 beer
Fast service and great food. I wish the toilet was as nice. LOKAL is my favourite place to eat in the Czech Republic.
Ive visited several Lokals in Prague but I liked this one the best.Excellent beer, of course, and a really tasty burger, with a proper bun- and just the right size. (Not one that collapses into a mess when you eat it.)But best of all was the staff. The girl who served us first saw that I was watching football and she kindly put the game on the TV for me. These are the small touches that I personally appreciate. The other girl who served us was also very pleasant and attentive.
It was okay food but terrible service. Couldn’t get a server’s attention. Compared to Lokal in Prague, it’s a disappointment for sure.
LOKAL franchise but in Plzen. What more can be said. As usual, great.
Best beer in town 👊🍺🍻❤
One of must to go and drink a beer place. Excellent tank beer i have tried.
Great beer hall with good beer and beer snacks and quick service. You dont wait long for your next beer here. I think trad food is served during daytime and early evening as well. Great place to meet the local people
This Lokal is the only one outside of the Prague area, and it’s fantastic. I was very impressed by the level of service, quality of the food, and the overall vibe. If you’re not going here, you’re definitely missing out!
Excellent place. Only pub in Pilsen you can find the "cut" beer. Half blonde, half black. A must in the city
Its a chain. Menu contains a pretty good variety of Czech dishes. They got the cheese schnitzel which is some kind of famous in Pilsen. Tried the cheese schnitzel and it was decent. Not that overwhelmingly good, but not bad either. They got the hab it of bringing you a new beer if you nearly finished yours, so you have to clearly say, that you want no more beer. All over service and prices were pretty good. I would recommend this restaurant.
Been here a few times, both for lunch or just having some beers. The food quality is good, the service is very special and barely seen anywhere else. The environment is also nice.
I hope the manager is taking good care of his/her waitresses. I was there yesterday, sitting behind the bar (next to the WC), and I really liked their performance. Courteous, polite, patient, quick, smiling, speak English... This degree of hospitality is actually hard to find in Pilsen bars/restaurants, so hope they keep it up!And Urquell was really nice too. Likewise, the veal schnitzels were awesome, so I hope the manager is also rewarding their cooks and beer pourers accordingly :-)
Beer is good but you wanna go there to try the local meat dishes, if you are vegetarian, try the nakládaný hermelín.
Great food at a good price with friendly service. I went here for Easter lunch and had the recommended lamb ragu with homemade croquettes, perfectly executed. I also ordered a lamb tartare which was served with toasted bread generously drizzled with olive oil and a house made version of pesto. I would recommend both and this place is a must if in Plzen.
Get here for a lunch with the freshest pilsener and some really delicious meals. Try beetroot salad with goat cheese for the light variant or a full tartar set up fot the hungry gang
Ribs and beer. All far too heavy. Great atmosphere.
I was on an extended stay in Pilsen and a colleague recommended the place. Oh my was he right. Ive tried several local specialties -- all delicious -- on the three occasions I was there. The beer (and I generally do not like beerwas spectacular and they had this very interesting layered beer that I havent had anywhere else. Service has been mostly attentive and always friendly. Food lovely and good portion size. Definitely worth a visit when in town
Very friendly and enthousiastic staff, 0,5l. beer KC45,=, tasteful bouková also KC45,=, brown beer KC47,=Absolutely worth a revisit.
Good Czech food great Pilsner beer. Except happy-hours little bit over prized.
Those guys decided to have the best beer in town and they have.. Amazingly well trained staff, the best possible care for the beer with shortest lines etc.. If you after the best beer, this is your spot
Nice Location..Beer and food for a good price
