Down-to-earth chain offering American standards like burgers & ribs, plus signature cocktails.
There for over an hour, and never got what we ordered. Wont be returning. No excuse for lousy service. People sitting behind us came in 30 minutes after us and got their oder.
We stopped in while traveling through town. I will only speak on my on meal but my family’s experience was similar to mine. I ordered their representation of a Chicken fried Steak. I ordered a salad and waffle fries. The salad was outstanding, actually one of the best salads I have had in a really long time. Then came the Chicken fried steak. It was just not good. It was a pre-frozen looking and tasting, heavily crusted, I do think it was real meat, just not a steak. Anyway I had high expectations after the salad but was truly disappointed. For $14 I expected better. Oh, the rolls were very good.
The food was just okay. Service was terrible...maybe it was just our waitress so I cant speak for the whole staff.
There food is so delicious. Our waiters was so nice and very friendly. We were seated fast.
The best part was the hot bread and beer. I was disgusted over this food. The steaks were tough and dry. First time ever having to put steak sauce on it to eat it, half the salad was brown and the ends, corn was dried, broccoli looks like it is moldy. Over all dirt was better or MREs. Never again will I eat here at any location and glad Idaho doesnt have this chain. The waitress also spent more time in where the grills were then her station.
The cooks at this place couldnt cook a steak correctly to save their lives. The salad was half rotted and wilted. The mashed potatoes we obviously powdered and had chewy lumps. The bartender was nowhere to be found for the majority of our stay. Never going here again.
My steak was burnt and the manager refused to take it back. And was borderline rude. We had to ask for our salads when they brought our steaks. We had to wave our server down for refills on our tea and each time we had to send the refills back because they were sweet and not unsweet. It was not their finest hour. We wondered why the older couple that was finishing up as we got there were not happy.. now we know.
Best meal I have ever had there, hands down! The waiter was very kind and efficient. But the food yall. Out of this world! Go give it a try!
A very slow Tuesday night. Waited 5 minutes to be noticed and seated by the hostess, waited another 10 at our table to be greeted by our server. Ordered drinks, mine was fine but husbands long Island wasnt good at all. The busser was walking around talking on his cell phone as he bussed tables. Ordered fried pickles that were over fried and snapped like a potato chip when we bit into them. I ordered the surf and turf combo med rare and husband ordered filet mignon medium. We both received a surf and turf sirloin, husbands medium and mine cooked medium well. I asked for the manager and when John the manager came over he acted like he had done us some favor and assured us he would take the upcharge off, completely ignoring the fact that my husband got the completely wrong steak and mine was way over cooked. We decided to just box up our remaining food for the dog and asked for the check. When we received the check we were still being charged an upcharge for something we didnt even order. I again got the managers attention and told him I was very unhappy and he said "well my cook said he dropped the right steaks" No offer to fix the bill or to make anything about the situation right. $95 dollars for overcooked food and tough steaks we didnt order and a manager who couldnt care less about his server and cooks mistakes. We will never return and we will gladly drop $100 somewhere else where they know what their doing and have capable management.
The food was not great. The steak had so much seasoning you couldnt eat it. The food didnt really come as ordered. Took a while to get drink refills. The place has declined compared to previous visits 😮💨
I really wish folks were more considerate of customers with toddlers. My family and I came in and were seated at a table where we could not get a high chair and instead a booster seat was provided. My daughter is a little over a year old, she does not understand that she can’t grab everything and with that type of seat at a rounded table I could see her creating a huge mess! My mom asked for a high chair and it all went down hill from there. The server told us that the booster was the only seat that we could use with a round table. I ended up asking to be seated at a table where my daughter could be seated in a high chair and the server acted like I asked her to move a mountain. Another server bringing back rolls made a snide comment saying “there are their rolls, where ever they decide to sit.” It’s funny how we are made to be in the wrong, when all we were asking for was simple accommodations for a baby. She left the rolls at a random table. There’s no need to be rude or treat a customer like a burden. Won’t be back.
We went to Logans for Fathers day. However they werent busy. Our food took a little long to come out, no big deal though. However, we ordered the potato skins, they came with the sour cream but not the ranch thats included. I asked the server for the ranch. She never brought it. I asked for sweet and low twice and eventually had to go find it myself from the bar. I was only given one refill and never offered one. I had to constantly ask. I ordered the French DIP. The cool thing about French dip sandwiches are that they are supposed to include the DIP. After asking for it twice, my wife finally had enough and went to the hostess to see about getting some. Now the time to pay comes, we had separate checks so we hand her a debit card and $100 cash. 20 minutes goes by and we go looking for the server, and see her in the back area, leaned on the counter playing on her phone. We wait another 20 minutes and finally have enough and go to the front counter to pay. We ask to speak to the manager, and he takes our checks and runs the payment himself. Nothing comped, nothing offered. Not even an apology. The food was mediocre at best. And the service was TERRIBLE. Dont waste your time coming here.
Love Logans except for one thing; the volume of the music! We have asked several times to have it turned down but have been told they cant turn it down. Its ridiculous. I go to visit with my friends and we cant even talk.
I had not gone back to Logans since it reopened until today! The service was spot on. Our server was training a new girl and they were fantastic. Constantly smiling and never had to ask for anything! The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing! If you havent gone back, give it a go! It was great!
Everything was amazing! We had a great waitress and the food was great. 10/10 would recommend
Waitress was very good. Sirloin steak ,not cooked as ordered. Returned marginally acceptable. Steaks were tough. Over priced. Baked potatoes cool, microwaved, butter would not melt. No returns for us. Follow up on my review. We were contacted by Abilene management at Logans. We were offered a comp meal at our convenience. We went today for lunch. The server continues to be very good. We ordered very much the same thing as we did originally. The service was good, we appreciated the managements offer for a compmeal. The baked potato was hot,the rolls were good, however, the 6 oz sirloin steak my wife order was not cooked as ordered and returned. Mine was close. Both steaks were tough, reminded me of chewing rubber bands. Ive seen nothing that would encourage us to return. I suggest that logans contact Texas Roadhouse to see where they get thier steaks.
I used to enjoy going here to eat but the waitresses have gotten to were they really arent as attentive to their tables anymore. We sat for a good 15 mins with our drinks empty and no waitress around.
I TRAVELED TO ABILENE TEXAS FOR A FUNERAL ON 5-9-22, AND STAYED AT THE HOLIDAY INN ON CLACK ST NEXT TO LOGANS ROADHOUSE. I HAD HAD BAD EXPERIENCES WITH LOGANS BEFORE. I WAS HUNGRY, SO I WALKED NEXT DOOR TO LOGANS DECIDING TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE. IT WAS ABOUT 9;55 PM WHEN I ARRIVED, ONE DOOR WAS LOCKED AND I ENTERED THROUGH THE OTHER DOOR. I THINK IT WAS THE MANAGER THAT APPROACHED ME AND ASKED IF I WAS PICKING UP A TO-GO ORDER. I ASKED HIM IF I COULD PLACE A TO-GO ORDER. HE TOLD ME HE HAD CLOSED THE RESTAURANT EARLY. I TOLD HIM THE SIGN OUTSIDE SAYS YOU CLOSE AT 10 PM. HE LOOKED AT ME, TURNED AROUND AND WALKED AWAY. I WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO PLACE A TO-GO ORDER IF POSSIBLE, BUT THAT DIDNT HAPPEN. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT BUSINESS HAS NOT CHANGED AT LOGANS, I GUESS TEXAS ROADHOUSE AND LONGHORN STEAK HOUSE ARE STILL THE BEST.
Just left this establishment. Walk in and stood there for 10 minutes. Several employees just looked at me and never said “Someone will be right with you or Welcome to Logan’s”. Place smelled funky too. Took my wallet to Texas Roadhouse and got seated and served right away.
Pretty much a total mess from when we walked in. Nothing went right. Missed appetizer completely, steaks well done, no drink refills, several waitresses ovewhelmed (but courteous).... Unfortunely cant recommend.
our waitress hardly came and checked on us or asked if we needed anything but the food was good. they need to continue training waitresses on their people and service skills.
We had a great meal. Everything was absolutely delicious. The filet mignon was tender and juicy; absolutely mouthwatering. The bread speaks for itself. I could eat a couple dozen of those rolls. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal.We gave our review 5 stars for the GREAT FOOD. It is well deserved. However, a couple of areas with room for improvement:One note to the kitchen manager: Keep an eye on product and rather than running out, send someone to the local grocery store for basic items. Customers dont want to hear "We are out of...", it wreaks of poor management & planning. We ordered a baked potato to go with our steak and had to hear the "We are out" routine. Simply so easily avoidable. Set yourself apart and dont let such mishaps take place under your watch. Rise above mediocrity.Lastly, weve reached out to corporate, and well see if they properly address this issue, but...as an FYI: We signed up for the Logans Rewards program tonight. You earn 1 point for every $1 spent. The welcome email unequivocally states "Every dollar you spend at Logan’s Roadhouse will earn you points." Yet, our $63.83 pre-tax bill only earned us 37 points. The other $27 was spent on alcoholic beverages, which apparently did NOT earn rewards points. If alcoholic beverages do NOT earn points, then spell that out up front and DO NOT claim, "Every dollar you spend at Logan’s Roadhouse will earn you points."Great meal. Cant wait for the next visit to a Logans Roadhouse.Update:Kudos to corporate for resolving the rewards points issue. They acknowledged ALL points should have been awarded. They have since added the missing points AND confirmed theyve reached out to their IT folks to make sure this is resolved and does not happen again.Theyve made a loyal customer out of us, on top of our existing fondness for their great food.
Food and Service is Great. Got charged twice on my card for the meals on the same day close to the same amount. Asked the man that appeared and said he was the Manager to reverse one of the charges. Gave him detailed printout of both within 30 days of data of service. NO REFUND. SO, watch your credit card. The food isnt worth twice the price. IF it was more money ($60 I would spend the time to make this "manager" regret blowing me off on a refund. Instead My hope is someone at Corporate gives me a call...
They should have stayed closed. Logan’s used to be one of my favorite places to go. However, the food was horrible.. it all tasted so bad that I could not eat it (Pepper corn chicken). I paid out. Even told the waitress that the food was horrible and she just scoffed and walked away. Anyhow, I went to next door to Chick-Fil-A. I will not be going back to that poorly managed place!
I am so happy that this joint is open again! I have food allergies, and Logans is great about not messing up my food. Additionally, the servers are nice and the food is tasty. Further, the layout is very ADA friendly, and they dont blast the music so loud that you cant hear the people youre eating with... unlike other places. Lastly, the food is so yummy! I got a steak and fries, and oh my gawd! So yummy. All in all, this was a great visit. 👍 Kuddos!
Excellent food and service! We had lunch there. My husband’s grilled meatloaf was outstanding! Added a grilled chicken breast for myself which was tender, juicy and very flavorful. Salad was fresh. We will definitely be going back! I highly recommend.
I will not go back here!!! The only thing good was the rolls. I ordered a burger medium well and it came out burnt. My wife ordered a French dip and she could only eat 2 bites because it was way to salty and her waffle fries were hard. Our friend never received her gravy that was supposed to come with her meal either. Our waitress tried to help us out by at least getting my wifes meal taken off the ticket, but the guy that she talked to said it wasnt his fault. Before they closed down it was a good place to eat, but since they reopened its not. Very disappointed!!
my wife and I were out celebrating our anniversary, when in asked how long the wait would be which would have been about 45 mins. Asked if the bar had any seats then saw a 2 top. we sat down and was asked if we could either sit at the bar itself or they could find us another sit which would have taken about an hour after we been sitting there for about 5 mins. so we just left and I wont be trying their food. I wouldnt even give it a one star but had to chose something.
Food ok. Service sucks. This place probably would have been better off to stay closed. I dont know if they are under staffed in the kitchen or what, but on a Thursday evening at 6:45, we walk in. It is not that busy, no wait, get seated right away, awesome. Wait a few minutes, server comes by for drinks. She delivers 2 of 3 within minutes. The third , nothing fancy, a flavored tea, takes over 10 minutes. It only comes out after i ask the server where it is. Her response "bar tender ran away." Order or food at 7:00. We wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. Food finally comes out at 7:45. Keep in mind place not full. Plenty of open tables. Took longer to wait for foot than to eat food. Only conclusion kitchen and bar needs more staff.
Ordered for supper tonight and my kids are happy thank goodness but my steak has no flavor my husbands steak is under done. The drinks for my husband and I were changed to small sprites after we paid for large drpeppers. They forgot are rolls. Thank goodness the sides are good.
Definitely not worth the price. The fried fish is overcooked the shrimp was not cooked through. My daughter wouldnt eat her burger because it was really burned around the edges. My steak was good but not medium as ordered same with other steak. Will not go back not worth the money.
Waitress was very sweet, but not very attentive. Crab cake appetizers were good, as were the rolls. We ordered the Logan sirloins medium rare... both steaks were horribly tough to chew, no flavor at all. They did agree to take at least one steak off the ticket. The manager that was informed of our meal mishaps made NO effort to come and talk to us. Truly disappointed overall.
Food was really good, but it took a long time to get our food and it wasnt busy at all. Having to squeeze out ketchup from those tiny packets was a pain. Service wasnt very good either.
Pretty sad when hubby & friend are done with their dinner before I even can get my first bite😔🤦🏼♀️🙄 ordered a sirloin done medium and it comes out rare..send it back and it still comes back rare...send it back again and now its well done🤦🏼♀️I must be on a see-food diet..see food while everyone else eats 🤣 Now waiting on a freshly cooked steak....we will see...to be continued 😀Well 4th time WAS NOT the charm🤬 Im done🤬 but the steak was not🤬The manager did comp the ticket and him & server did apologize...we did give the server a tip for trying their best
Atmosphere wonderful prompt courteous staff. When I gave my credit card to my waitress the awesome Nicole my card had been declined twice. I had no other form of payment completely embarrassed. The manager Thomas Jowers came over and asked about the situation I wanted to cry because I was there celebrating a special occasion. Once he heard my reason he comped my meal! I cried gave him a hug the nicest thing anyone has done for me in a very long time. So when you go to Logan’s ask for Nicole she’s fabulous!!!!
I usually don’t post but as much as I travel and eat restaurants I feel obligated to tell you what I think. Restaurant Just opened back up and I had chicken tenders with corn and beans. All cooked well and was actually pretty good. Bar tender didn’t know how to make a martini but ask and tried. Had to order a second one so she could get some practice. Service slow but I was ok with it. They really tried !!!
A few weeks after opening, the steak was really good. This time, the steak lacked flavor. The rest of the food did taste 😋. The atmosphere wasnt bad and the waitress from the bar was good.
One of the best experiences in Abilene Ive ever had. I have been visiting this chain way back before this facility chooses during the first part of COVID.I was so happy that reopened. I Love their steaks. Always cooked exactly as ordered and the taste is exceptional. As we entered we were led back to the treat of the seating area. At first I thought and actually shared with the lady who seated us, "What did I do to get sent to the back of the class room" we day there for a few minutes before anyone arrived to take out drink orders. And out of nowhere came this beautiful personality with a smile to die for beating hot fresh rolls. Hey name is Symia. So when you visit this establishment ask of she is on shift and request her area with total confidence. The food was amazing, fresh and extremely well seasoned. I was so impressed with her service I had to share me experience with her manager. This is a must visit Steak House in Abilene Texas.
My husband and I met up with some friends shortly after Logan’s reopened. The server was fantastic, and the rolls were amazing. Other than that, the food was very disappointing. We ordered a chicken friend steak that was thin and flat, and was clearly just a frozen patty. The mashed potatoes reminded me of my elementary school’s mashed potatoes. Everyone else in our group was also disappointed with their orders, as well.
So this has to be the worst steak house I have ever been to. And being that I travel for work I’ve been to plenty only thing that had going for them was the server. Ordered boneless wings for an appetizer and they came out under cooked sent them back, then my wife ordered a filet medium well and it came out medium my daughter ordered a New York strip medium and it came out well done I ordered the shrimp stacked salmon covered with a creamy sauce that was cold to the touch steamed broccoli was cold we sent everything back. Basically lost our appetite the manger never came out with the first mistake but came when the waitress said she was gonna get him. Just very poor service don’t recommend this place unless they change the management. Also the bathrooms were gross uncleaned a trash can was completely full of over flowing trash.
Service was prompt and courteous. The filet and ribs were excellent! The Cobb Salad was very good too. Sides were not very good. Waffle fries were cold and the Cole Slaw was gross. Wet lettuce has more flavor.
I used to frequent Logans before it closed down. Today was my first day back after they reopened. I was highly disappointed. My steak came out undercooked. I sent it back. It was still undercooked. Sent back and it never returned. My potato was also undercooked. I paid for a full meal and only ate salad, 2 rolls, and a small portion of my potato. I realize the bartender is busy at the bar, but if you are going to have the bar tender also wait tables for Sunday lunch, dont apologize in front of the customer when you seat them in that section and make sure someone might be available to at least help with drink refills at the tables.
They just reopened. Great food, great service! Easy 10/10.
For starters, we got there before the dinner rush, my drink order was wrong, I didnt say anything. Our steaks were not cooked correctly, and sent back they came back as leather. Chili tasted like it came right out of a can. I had to ask for my salad, and the potatoes were not cooked all the way. If you like waiting for drinks and or anything else, then the service was great. We defiantly will NOT be back.
Waitress was fine… she just got overwhelmed. However, the kitchen are idiots. When you serve any fish, whether it is grilled, baked or fried, it should not have fish bones in it. That is a choking hazard. To simply say that the catfish comes that way, is a great way to escape responsibility. Overall, I just think that there has to be more training. It will be a while before we visit again
I understand the staff and everything is new and people are figuring things out but Im not gonna lie. Service was sloppy, the food was just horrendous. whoever is cooking the steaks has no business doing so. T-bone was just downright awful in every way. all 5 people i was eating with complained their food was undercooked and tasted like it was pre-frozen and rubbery. The lady couldnt get our order right to save her life. all I could think about was paying and getting out as fast as possible, 0/10 just a really, really bad experience. You have to train your staff more before opening up so quickly.... And for god sakes get a new supplier for your meat.
Grand (reOpening of Logans. D & N were there 11pm in line. Ry, W and I showed up at 8 am.Hardin Simmons Band Serenaded us, Hardin Simmons Cheer and Military Toys for Tots were there along with Abilene Chamber of Commerce.Food was good. Great was to ensure people got their free meals next year AND made money today.Great appetizers and Steak Tips for child. Lots of fun and our waitress Krystal was Fantastic, knowledgeable and fun.We will be back.
To start with we visited this Logans on a weekday so we expected fast service and a small crowd. The crowd was small but the service was a little slow. Our waitress was super nice and attentive to us, as expected due to the small crowd. We both ordered a steak combo which I had the 6 oz.. steak and brisket sausage, the wife had the steak and shrimp skewer. The foor tasted good, but the steak was over cooked and dry. Flavor was on point though. We both ordered medium steaks but got well done. As always the peanuts were unlimited and I always enjoy throwing the shells on the floor. I would have given 4 stars but the simplicity of cooking a steak to medium should be something a steak joint does right especially on a weeknight.
December 21st 2018 Review:- Food: standard Logans, thumb up.- Service, here we go:+Walked in at 7:15... Had to wait for 20 min for a taboe even when we noticed plenty of them available.+ Got in the table, no peanuts in table... After 5 min wait I walk to the barrel and serve them myself, no big deal.+ When I got back there was stillsno waitress... 5 min after she ask for our drinks order. We order drinks and plates + nachos right there.+ Nachos and food arrived at same time, still no drinks not beer in table.+ when food arrived I needed to ask for silverware, it arrived some minutes later.+ Then had to ask for napkins. We had dinner, nothing to mention until...+ Asked for check, had to wait for another 10 minNOTE: waitress was running all over the place (she was busyand restaurant was full; the "improvement opportunity" is not to the waitress, its to management, you guys (managementneed to do a lot better.Yes, I still tipped waitress 25%, was not her fault and is Christmas season.PS: restroom was extremely dirty.Texas road House is just crossing the street; can not be worst than this .
Well, I shoulda checked the reviews. Wanted to get a nice steak for Fathers Day and Logans was much closer to my hotel than Texas Roadhouse so I figured I would give them a try. Bad idea. I got the moonshine shrimp and the 16oz ribeye and ordered a margarita. The margarita was the best part of the meal. The shrimp came out and the plate and chips were hot and the shrimp was almost cold, but the shrimp had good flavor. My steak came out over cooked, I told my service professional it was over cooked. She said no problem at all and took the plate back to the kitchen. 15 minutes later I get the exact same piece of meat back only now it was further over cooked. So I told her it was the exact same piece of meat and now it was further over cooked so she took it back again. About 6 minutes later the manager brought the same piece of meat back to me only this time it was cut completely in half. I told him it was over cooked and he told me my server told them it needed to be cooked more. He offered to either remove it from my bill or make a new steak. I chose the new steak, again wrong choice. I got my new steak, cut into it and it still wasnt quite right but I told her it was fine and proceeded to eat my steak. Worst quality ribeye I have ever ate. It had to of been 60% fat and gristle. I eventually gave up because I didnt have a mini chainsaw to cut it with. Worst Fathers Day meal ever. Now I know better to stick with Texas Roadhouse.
