Such a great place to stay - lovely people, super roomy, and lots of little details that make it extra awesome (bath salts, plunger coffee, almond milk - so good!).

Clean and fully equipped room with a jacuzzi (surprise!), Friendly staff and warm services, will definitely come again next time in town!

The cleanest motel rooms I have ever been in. Very well appointed with a fabulously renovated kitchen area and has everything you need. Always great service and a warm welcome from the resident cats and dogs who have their own pages in the compendium thats in your room.

Wow!! What a delightful Motel to stay at. The owners & the friendly housekeepers just make you feel at home. Very,very clean & comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves so much espeacially around the heated pool, we stayed a extra night!!

No Sweat..! Welcomed with a Smile - Great Customer service - just so warm and Welcoming too. Beautiful Balcony suite and loved the interior too. Room was very CLEAN, the kitchen bathroom and bed area. Balcony area so relaxing too.Food was AMAZING the all day breakfast. Nice hot croissant :Cold drinks. Mini Bar was just so easy too with list and prices.Loved the outdoor pool was quiet too enjoyed my stay. I will definitely do this all over again.We loved our stay wish it could be longer but Work was calling me LOL..!Thanks Josh appreciate your service. Keep up the good work :)

David is very friendly and welcoming. We were teeing off at Whangarei Golf club at 8am and needed an early breakfast! Stephanie and David were amazing to get up so early and make us breakfast! We really appreciated that. The room is very comfortable we had the studio spa room (room 10). The mini bar is well stocked. The bath spa was relaxing after golf! The kitchenette is awesome! Microwave! Everything you need they have thought of!!! Their room folder has a lot of information on restaurants to dine out or deliver!!!. If you want awesome Chinese try Tai tong! We enjoyed our stay!!!

Hi, we booked the Lodge via Booking.com - easy experience. The lodge is great!Very well built, clean well designed and plenty of attention to small details that show that the owners care.We got a 1 bedroomed unit (7and had two king singles in the living room for our daughters...plenty of room and the girl’s beds were comfortable.The bathroom is lovely - we made full use of the spa bath and the thoughtfulness was evident in details such as the spa salts, the candle holder on the wall, and the dedicated make up friendly face clothes.The master bedroom was again well thought tgrough with convenient switching for bedside lights, good storage options, and equipment that works like it should. The bed was generously sized - and we were sharing with a 16 month old baby so we really appreciated the room. The bed seems to have a memory foam type of topper - good for some, not first choice for others but it was fine overall.In summary this is one of the best value ($255motel/lodge experiences we have had in NZ. We will definitely be back, with or without our kids.

We really loved staying here. The service was great and our apartment was super nice. If youre staying in Whangarei I dont know why youd stay anywhere else.

Loved the self contained unit, kitchenette well stocked as is the bathroom. Bathrobes, and extra pillows in closet. Spa bath, heated pool, also laundry facilities. Wonderfully pleasant manager always polite and helpful. Quiet and comfortable also it seems, very popular as we have to wait until after xmas to stay again. Absolutely loved our stay.

Cleanliness outstanding, kitchenette fully equipped, nothing needed.Pillows and the bed were perfect for our liking, hosts very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble here. Lots of local brochures available at reception. Being on the main road was not a problem for us. (Lots of passing traffic20min walk into town was no trouble for us. I could not fault this place. I would highly recommend.

This is the best place to stay in Whangarei. Very relaxing vibe and they have a pool. Hosts are welcoming and friendly. Is often booked up but with a big carpark it doesnt feel busy.

Honestly the best place to stay in whole Oceania. Definitely 5 star and cleanliness level is outstanding. Didnt expect to have such a nice place to stay in a remote location as Whangarei. Owners are very friendly and try to accommodate as much as they can. Highly recommended.

Good location for driving and walking to town, friendly staff and owners. Very well stocked minibar that they were happy to remove to free up fridge space. The room was quiet, clean and had a nice outdoor area. Little touches such as the BBQ being well stocked with implements a decent selection of DVDs to borrow made our stay that much nicer.

Stayed there last weekend will never ever go there again!!!! definitely racist, knocking on the door followed by barging into my room asking all these questions that were none of her business like whats our situation and saying she didnt book us in and needed to know who is in her rooms.I had been ill and was very close to having to be admitted to hospital, that was the only reason we went and stayed ther, to b close to the hospital, i really didnt enjoy her barging into our room demanding to know whos in the room what our situation was and what was wrong with me, none of that was any of her bussiness, we had checked in and paid without any problems. To top it of she went on and on about us using the courtessy washing machine because we had a whole two loads of washing on in the laundry and we had asked the person on reception at the time if it was ok to use the laundry and she said that was fine. I have stayed in many hotels but have never been treated like this very intimadating and unpleasent experience, not cool

I had a lovely two-night stay while in Whangarei for work. My room was sparkling clean and comfortable. I loved the fact there was a little hob and microwave, making it easy to cook myself basic meals. Lyn was friendly and so accommodating. I would have no hesitation recommending Lodge Bordeaux, or staying there again.

Amazing stay there with my husband and workmates booked there too. The service was so good, rooms were superb (especially with the spas!)...absolutely loved it. No unwanted noise in the area was a plus. Highly recommended.

The best in Whangarei.Easy and friendly check in process with free wifi passwords being handed out in a generous manner.The rooms are large, modern and extremely comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet this place is when its just off the main state highway one.The spa bath in the room is a must and TV viewing is A++ with having a SKY TV Box in every room.Looking forward to staying here in the near future.

Excellent place. Working up in Whangarei for a while, I tried multiple motels, some good and some terrible. However, Lodge Bordeaux was stunning. The rooms are comfy and quieter than the norm. Little things like a stocked wine rack and mini bar, along with the usual kitchen facilities make this a great place to stay, whether travelling through or staying for a few days.The owners are friendly and offer good cooked breakfasts too.Highly recommended.
