Sam and Nate are the best bartenders ever. All of them are great, super chill bar. Lots of great memories here.

This was one of my favorite bars in the area. It was. Then, once I had to dispute the drinks on my charge, I was met with incredible hostility. I was not given any reason or understanding. One of the bartenders, who had been loudly saying my last name all night, was the first to call me out for not tipping on a tab I was not reasonably responsible for. I wanted to tip the proper 20% as I do but was trying to do that in the tab I actually paid for.This can be responded to by the business, but make no mistake: when you are in the wrong, they will only protect themselves. If the excuse is that the bartender that had served me was now off the clock and drunk then you should think twice about trusting any of them. I was only trying to understand why I was charged more than I was, and I was met with hostility, mostly by the bartender that thought he was safe because he was off the clock. Regardless of if people I dont even know erroneously bought drinks on my tab, I was met with the worst and most aggressive staff you could ever come across at a bar that makes more money than I could ever excessively tip.Disregard any response this gets, nice or not, this is an incredibly harsh reaction from this that have been amazing bartenders to me for the last 6 years.Tl;Dr Go to Oddfellows

If youre looking for a chill bar to have great tasting craft beer with friendly staff look no further. This is the place to go.

My husband and I had a good experience here. Good drinks and great company!! The bathroom walls are also very intriguing. I definitely like the playboy covers that you have all over the bathroom walls as a wallpaper!!

Fun bar with some of the best drink prices in the Short North. Attracts a very diverse crowd, the digital jukebox keeps people dancing all night, and each time Ive visited (about 4 times), the atmosphere has a positive vibe. Patrons are generally friendly, open to conversation, and do not cause trouble from my experience. I only downgraded my rating to 4 stars because they really could use another 2 bathrooms to avoid very long lines when it is busiest.

This place…… Is incredible. Take your happiest memories of your parents/grandparents mid-century modern home and throw in a GREAT bar and a Poole table. PLUS there’s karaoke on Wednesdays. Take over the Touch Tunes and chill for a while. Can’t recommend enough. Just come here. DO IT.

This bar is a great spot! I had a delicious cocktail and love their little couch corner.

Irreverent sometimes seedy crowd. My opinion may be biased because I had my wallet pickpocketed there. Just keep belongings close and secure.

Bartenders were pretty good. Only complaint was that the bartender didnt refill my water for me upon request and instead pointed me to a station across the bar. Wouldnt have been an issue except couldnt get away due to watching my friends drink and phone whike they were in the bathroom

Dont go here, the people are unruly, Queer, creative hooligans with excellent taste in music. Way too friendly. Prices are shamefully reasonable. Pool games are way too fun. Please dont go here. Support large corporations, not local bars! #Keep614Secret

Great neighborhood bar with karaoke every Wednesday. Awesome bartenders and a pool table in the back

This place was freaking amazing, the people there are sweet and the vibe is off the hook really enjoyable place. 10 of 10 would go back again.

Walked in and asked for a common beer. The bartender said that they didn’t have it and disdainfully walked away. I waited and a second bar tender walked up. I asked her what kind of lagers they had. She flipped a menu at me and walked away. I left.

They double charged me! I paid my tab with cash and they also charged my card. Now they are not answering phone calls, emails, or Facebook messages.

Cool atmosphere and bar right off high street. Parking out front depending of time of Friday. Always fast Bar service, and they have 2 dart boards and a pool table. Only 2 restrooms though which gets annoying especially later in the night. Great place for drinks though!

Wednesday karaoke at this hole in the wall can never disappoint. Play some pool, meet some new friends, always expect cheap well made drinks. Most of the drama and trashiness of high street never makes its way into Local. See you there!

The bartenders here are amazing and I have not had quicker and better service anywhere else. Courtney was absolutely amazing!!! Great atmosphere with great staff make for a good time!

It was a quiet night in the Short North. So I was in and out of several places. It seemed to have a quaint and laid back atmosphere, the drink was nice and strong, and the bartender was pleasant. Will definitely try it again in the future

The only decent bar in an awful, over-gentrified section of town. Amazing bartenders, great, beer selection, and a must go if youre in the service industry. One negative, which ties into the service industry thing; the lines for the bathroom take forever because everyone is just doing coke.

Drinks are reasonably priced, the atmosphere is fun and casual. They are upholding capacity regulations due to covid-19.

Probably my favorite bar on the Short North. Dark, Smokey and grungey... All compliments. Also, they have $1 cans of Genesee... Cant beat that

My first time there over the weekend and its a nice bar with awesome bartenders! The music and crowd was great!

A dive bar thats not a total dive. But, loud boisterous and basir/real. Good place to kick something serious drinks back and feel the effects.

Quirky, cozy, a bit divey in the friendliest way. Bartenders were really friendly. Its probably going to become our regular place to go in our neighborhood. Good vibes. Love the sign that welcomes everyone and rejects discrimination!

Ive been coming here for years and ever since day one, they bartenders have really made me feel at home. Youll see a lot of familiar faces here if youre a frequent Short North visitor as well. Combine that with some solid daily deals and a karaoke night that blows the competition out of the water, and youve got yourself one hell of a bar

great chill atmosphere. Pool table in the back 60s 70s style decore. great karaoke on wed. KJ is real. Nice staff too.

I like this place although youll definitely come across some characters here. Very laid-back atmosphere. Im not a fan of the extremely loud music or the fact that it was really difficult to get drinks, but its a fun place to go from time to time.

Semi divey bar. Well priced, good music, free popcorn and a decent pool table. Stop by for a drink or five. You wont regret it.

Love this bar! Great beer options that change seasonally, fun environment, and an amusing womens restroom. =Theyve even got a small parking lot for patrons.

Drinks were pretty good and it didnt feel too crowded for a Friday night in the short north, at least at the time I went. Its got some fun unique features like the waterbed in the corner and the free popcorn.

I mean...When was the last time you actually saw a real life unicorn? Thats right! Only at Local Bar! Their all you can eat lobster night is pretty dope as well. Just get here before 7 so you can get the Crustacean of your choice. Solid staff too.

Might be for someone, but not me. Just feels dirty. Super packed and their pool table is in its own little room. Feels like something from a 70s pool hall. Bartenders have never been overly nice.

Nice bartending staff. Not much in the way of seating, more of a stand around or sit at the bar. A little set back from high street. The free popcorn is nice though!

This place was great. We went on a Sunday night and they had amazing deals on beer and drinks. A low key relax place.

My friends and I go to this bar almost every weekend! Its never too crowded and its the best place to get fairly-priced drinks, free popcorn, and just hang out.
