We ordered oriental five spice pork belly pumpkin mantou, malay rempah chicken ciabatta, pan grilled smoked duck served with homemade mandarin white wine sauce. For drinks, earl grey buddha, hand-brewed chrysanthemum cappuccino, blossom cappuccino.While the food was average for us, the ambience and service made it up for us. It’s a place with interesting concept and great aesthetics. Would recommend to try their coffee!

The facade is unique and welcoming! Theres a wide range of local to fusion food available. However the stuff we ordered (classic breakfast, streaky bacon, loh maikai, toast, etc.were pretty normal. The signature mantou pork belly with hot sauce was not bad, but thats all about it. The Malacca coffee was definitely diluted, unlike other traditional coffee we had. Maybe its just what we ordered, rest is up to you to try!

Where I will visit whenever I am back in my hometown. Love the old charms atmosphere and local foods.

Very good place and food. Would like to share some tips on improving the chicken dish, just dont put passion fruit on the plate, then itll be perfect. It did not go well with any of the food on that plate itself. Chef had good skills making good use of herbs during marination. Good job guys! Cheers, we enjoyed here.

This place is nice. The food delicious. Environment very comfortable and the staff helpful and patience. I went there with family on a saturday lunch. I was lucky to find a parking spot just infront of the restaurant. They serve modern western food. Not chinese or nyonya. For those who are looking for nyonya cendol, u need to look elsewhere. They menus are made from cardboard. No picture to refer to. Thats why we need the help from the service. And they are very helpful. We can search photos from the internet though, insta, facebook or google. They have special menus very day, which include the decorated coffee with flowers. Highly recommended.

A cafe in a old peranakan house. They served really unique menu with variety of coffees. Tried on their pandan latte, mthly special oolong rose latte, pork burger and teriyaki chicken Mantou. The handmade patty is moist and juciy.

Very cozy, cooling, good service, awesome food, homely feels, traditional yet modern, food presentation is top notched, no queue like jonker street, not crowded seating, seriously no complaints at all, will be back here many times. the perfect restaurant and cafe in Malacca for me. Semi hidden cafe with a front gate with many little signages. Once inside youll be greeted with an oriental chinese interior design. Food here was okay. The Ciabatta tasted very good. The go to drink here would be the Melacca Coffee. Waitress here was friendly enough to reccomend some food foe our table as well. 5 stars for service and ambience. Hope to be back soon for my next visit to Melaka.

This satisfied all my cravings. We had a hearty Beacon and Egg Ciabatta and a Honey mustard Chicken pumpkin Mantou with 1x hot 1x iced roast almond latés.The coffee was excellent aswell and although the prices are above average, the portions are big and you get your moneys worth. Quality food!

Quaint traditional local home turned into a cafe. Mediocre really except it’s just being cozy with a water feature in the middle. Mantao was alright.

A cozy cafe well decorated in an ancient building. Wide selection of fusion food and beverages. The cafe is pretty busy on weekends and public holidays. A great place for family and friends to get together.

Everything was fairly fine, just would want to comment a bit in terms of staff service~First of all, the environment was good but it would be great if there is a staff in charge of the door. The door remains closed even though they are open, and there’s no one to assist you in providing tables or checking availability or updating you in terms of is there place to sit or not. For me this is important because if you are just waiting outside a closed door, who knows what’s happening inside? Are there available tables? We would need to walk in and ask, then walk out again (a button needs to be pressed to exitand waiting without knowing how long do we have to wait.Second, it would be easier to identify the staff if they are wearing same shirt/colour/apron. A staff approached me when I was inside and asked me how many people do we have, and I thought it was a customer because all the staff was wearing normal clothes (as in without a tag or even same colour as a uniform), so I thought she was a customer asking me questions for a second.Food was okay. But for the mango cheesecake, the portion of the mango was more than the cheesecake itself so it felt like it was not worth the price (RM15+although it tastes good.But I feel a staff is really needed at the main door to control the crowd because the new customers will feel welcomed and have a good impression on the restaurant. I was in a state of confusion the whole time while waiting for tables. Hopefully things will improve :)

Rempah chicken not rempah (as i know rempah chicken need use to fried and have some rempah minced), its grill and meat was dry, taste not bad but tasteless. For pasta should have more sauce on top but this bit dry.

Not really goodI tried chicken chop (RM25). It wont be worth that amount at allAnd the coffee also does not taste. More ice than coffee taste.For pictures its a good place 😉

Its a nice place to hang and chill with friends. Food wise, it was below average. Tried the locahouz hot sauce pork belly with pumpkin mantou, the patty was rather thin and not as tender as Id like, the hot sauce wasnt that distinct and the mantou was underwhelming. Also tried the country style pork chop which was quite tender but nothing to shout about. The chicken rempah with pumpkin sauce pasta was the most disappointing dish of all, the two did not complement each other as a dish, the chicken rempah couldve been seasoned better and the pumpkin sauce pasta was rather tasteless.. Feels like something is missing.

Heart warming to have a good memory by spend time here. Had the painstakingly prepared lunch by owner, enjoyed a lot. The little puppy was lingering around the place while people are having meal.The cafe was well maintained with antique local gadgets as its decoration ideas. The arts and photos are one of a kind pieces. Superb in plenty aspects.

Door entrance is always close even the business is on. Food is not really special mocktail’s taste very mild. Environment is Ok. Young Chinese girl waitress is very rude when she asked for vaccine status and report, forced us to turn on Bluetooth for nearby suspect positive case (not in Government KKM SOP, please study before enforced ur customer to obey). will not come back again.

A traditional house that converted into cafe.Very nice dining atmosphere which can clearly see the traditional element of the building.Foods are delicious. The toast is beautifully setup.

This place is about ~10mins walk away from jonker street. Love the cafe set up! Immediately when i reached, the staff managed my expectations and let me know that their specialty which is italian coffee was sold out but still we tried their mocktails and malacca coffee.1. Lemon Orange Beer - served in a cute glass. It doesnt have a strong alcohol taste so it might be a turn off for the alcoholic folks. It was alright for me who is a non alcohol person.2. Hot Malacca coffee - this was alright3. Earl grey and apple mocktail - good! The first few sips were refreshingg. The last few sips were more purw earl grey taste.4. Pork hamburger steak - i had lunch before having this. My first bite was not that impressive. After several bites, it tasted better and went well with the drinks i ordered.Distilled water is charged at RM1 per cup. Overall, my experience was pleasant since i managed to dropby in a not so hectic timing.

One of hidden treasure cafe in melaka. The flower tea is one of their specialty. Visited this place just because want to try the flower tea. The design so nice and beautiful. Its really instagramable. This cafe is nice design and its inside of the local melaka house but inside is amazing. The menu book also so so cute haha

At most can get 3 stars.The environment is good indeed however the food and drink set at cafe price but doesn’t provide cafe service, eg no wifi available, no free plain water, no air conditioning. Pumpkin mantou is nice but the marinated pork belly still have very strong pork taste. I ordered chrysanthemum coffee but no chrysanthemum taste at all, I would rather spend lesser on order normal cappuccino.

This is the perfect place for a cup of coffee and relaxing. The place really well keep as how the Baba and nyonya who once live or Chinese old house. Ill recommend the tea cappuccino which their specialty. My favourite, chrysanthemum tea cappuccino which totally balance out with the coffee. U can taste between tea and the coffee which they didnt overpower it. And the sandwich here is totally satisfaction. It a big sandwich, with bacon and egg and there a side dish potato salad. The only complaint that I can is that the sandwich can be a little bit moist. Maybe mix eggs mayo will be nice but then again, it my opinion. And the café is pet friendly and services is fast and amazing. Overall, I totally totally recommend the tea cappuccino! Ill definitely come back for them!

Definitely a pleasant place to while the afternoon away experiencing old Malacca. Youd definitely come here to be part of the Instagram set as well as spoil yourself rotten with expensive, very pretty, and over sugared drinks. Have tried the popcorn chicken (shockingly good), mantou bun with coffee-cooked pork (wonderful mantau flavour and it is their unique selling point, pork was decent enough but clearly theyre using the absolute cheapest cuts of meats availed), and the steak burger (completely forgetable, although points for the pineapple). I found the coffee weak, brackish and forgettable too. Its a pity this establishment is so very profit minded, because it could have been something with real love put into it, rather than the patina of real love. It has great potential. I think its a great place to come by once and then never again unless its to bring your friends to admire the decor. A beautiful place indeed.

First time visit. Food are special, taste good but price slightly high at Melaka standard. Seen many blogger visit, located just behind market. Decorations are plus point.I order their pork belly burger with pumpkin mantou. Taste excellent, never taste b4 at other places. Will visit again.

Ratings purely based on value. The meat portion isnt much, only a few strips of pork. The pork tastes nice but the ciabatta bun isnt well toasted. The potato egg salad is the same as the side dish, only topped with a fried egg. The ambience is nice if you like historical values.

This cafe is one of many built by utilising the old traditional pre war shop houses that can be found in Penang, KL and Melaka. Great for your IG and FB posts. Their signature pumpkin burger are quite nice, nothing extraordinary though. Ours was cold when served. Luckily their coffee taste better than many others around Melaka.

This is the best cafe in Malacca!! This cafe interior design are so relaxing and full with nature. Their services are great especially their waitress and waiter. They are so friendly and nice. The location is really strategic because it is easy to find. Food is also delicious. My favorite is their smoked duck and lemongrass chicken. Their coffee and tea are exceptionally great. They have a creative idea with their recipe. They have various options for beverages. It is really a nice place to have lunch or tea time with your friends.

You need no reason to drop by this cafe as everything will exceed your expectations, from their service to quality of food, and some thoughtful touch in between.We are a family of six who went for late lunch, we were served by a gentleman, very polite, friendly, and he gave us useful recommendations when we weren’t sure what to order. It is honestly rare to have such a great servant, I really want to give him our compliments. Food and drinks came not long after, and we were impressed! All of them taste perfectly tasty, one thing worth mentioning is that the food we ordered from special menu worth the try. I am sorry that I really cant remember the name of the dishes but the burger with coffee pork belly, honey garlic pork burger are awesome. Homemade “sticky rice with chicken” is a must try, we ordered extra two before we leave.We tried a couple different drink and they all tested great, especially their homemade orange beer, tasted like enzyme which i love the most. We really cant love it better. Thank you so much for making us memories, we cant wait to visit once again!:)

This place is an incidental find. A bit off the main part of jonker street and the closed doors make it hard to find. But once inside, the nostalgia of old peranakan style comes a live.I recommend you get a good table, order your food then walk around to take pictures. By the time you sit down again, the food is here.The Gula Melaka coffee is a must-try! I haven’t never tasted coffee like that before. It’s mental! All their burger buns are freshly home-made pumpkin buns in a pale yellow color and very fragrant and soft. Their spicy bacon burger is delicious.I saw other people order very pretty looking special smoothies which I didn’t try cuz I was too eager and did not turn to the last page of the drinks menu. So be sure to look through every page of the menu before deciding. But I don’t regret my Gula Melaka Coffee.The chocolate banana smoothie is great for kids!And their plates are too pretty!You can skip the potato salad. Haha

Really great place for food. The chef really knows his stuff and the meals are very balanced taste-wise. The hot sauce belly pork burger was amazing. The smoked duck and lemongrass chicken were also excellent. Been a really long time since I had cafe food this good. My double shot flat white was flavourful but a bit weak by western standards, Id go for a triple next time

Great place to chill and enjoy a cup of coffee here. Both nanyang and Western styles coffee available with plenty of food choices available. Interior decoration is nice and perfect for people who like to take Instagramable photos. Slightly pricey but definitely worth a visit.

Paid a visit here after walking up St Paul Hill and they just opened for business for the day. It was a little out of common tourist track but well worth the walk there. The cafe was inside a traditional house. It was so beautiful inside with all the natural light, the plants and the tasteful decoration. Staff couldnt be friendlier. It was lucky we arrived early as it soon filled up with people constantly coming in. Ordered two different types of omelette, a signature burger with pumpkin bread and a daily special of grilled duck breast with orange. Visually appealing and great taste too. Couldnt fault anything.

Nice and relaxing ambiance. Located slightly out of Jonker area, thus less traffic. Private parking available, but you should find ample public parking nearby too. The cafe was cozy and less noise compared to those located at Jonker Walk. Creative menu and specials available. Tried their pumpkin burger, was ok. Pork belly fettuccine was also ok, but the noodle portion was a little less, wasn’t filling enough. Lots of creative drinks, but the simplest iced milktea was tasteless after midway with all of the ice melted away. Overall place is nice, food is ok, staff is polite.

Portion of food is big. Good for sharing. Coffee is nice. Environment is nice but hard to find for first timer due to the logo design. There is a car park just for the customer. Is opposite the coffee shop.
