This unfussy mountain lodge in a low-rise building is 1 km from Jasper Park Information Centre and 8 km from the Jasper Skytram aerial tramway.Rooms and suites have traditional decor and feature Wi-Fi, tea and coffeemaking facilities, cable TV, and minifridges. Some have kitchenettes. The modest restaurant featuring pine decor and a fireplace offers terrace seating. A rustic lounge with a stone fireplace and a patio has mountain views. There's an indoor pool, plus indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a sauna and coin-operated laundry facilities.
Perhaps a bit dated, but well located and comfortable. Worn in, but by no means worn out. The staff are great, knowledgeable and helpful. I just loved the feel of the place, hot tub was great, bed was awesome! A great oasis after a long day driving, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, etc. Loved the block heater plugs at every parking spot... Canadian Rockies, yes!
Decent hotel. Rooms were clean. Service was good. Not sure either is worth the price they are charging, so I take off a star for value. No air conditioning and it could use some repairs. Not a bad experience, but not outstanding either.
From the outset, upon arriving to the Lobstick Lodge the expectations were not high. To start off our stay there, the front desk staff took a very long time and when we finally got to our turn to check in, the front desk staff did not seem to understand their own systems of pay (between debit and credit). The room itself is what you would come to expect from a motel. Beds were large and made, access to a kettle and fridge, and a bathroom. The entire hotel gave off the feel of being an adequate hotel, approximately 30 years removed from its prime.Towels were not changed like they are during a usual hotel stay, however, we were able to get some from the front desk during our time there. While the initial front desk staff were shaky, all interactions that we had with the staff during our two night stay were very kind and personable. There is little to no access to food on site from what we could tell, however the location was good based on ease of getting out of Jasper town proper in order to get to what we were really there for: the wilderness. There was an elevator for accessibility.Overall the price for what we got (which was a standard fare from any motelwas not worth it. Although half stars arent possible, I would rate this as 2.5/5.
Rooms were tidy, TV provided (we didn’t use it). Not many outlets in the room, and the kettle did not reach the wall outlet which was a little inconvenient. Bathroom was neat, did not have soap. Not very bright room. No microwave in standard rooms, but you can boil water which is good. Beds were comfortable. Fan was provided, mini fridge a good size. Overall, not a bad place to stay, good value for money.
