Loved the place ! Full of energy, great drinks and food, and really good music/dj. The view at sunset is amazing 😍

Good vibes and beautiful people. It was such an awesome experience to be at this jawn. The DJs really kept us dancing and entertained. This jawn has an awesome view of Jozi and the Maboneng precinct. Their toilets are clean and the security is tight. Please note that youre going to be charged an entrance fee between R30 - R50

Enjoyed the decor which is unusual and beautiful. The owners and staff are fabulous and the food was delicious. Can highly recommend this for a special occasion. It was certainly a memorable experience.

The place is such a beautiful escape from the buzzing Maboneng. The security guards downstairs were so kind and helpful in making sure I was picked up right outside the door. Such a lovely experience, cant wait to go back! The food and cocktails are awesome.

When being hippy was lost and forgotten, the living room was one to revive that movement, in the early 2012 it was known as this green restaurant that served tailor made Juices,cocktails and some amazing green food, the green lifestyle, it set a trend in colliding side by side with Joburgs greenest man made Jungle in the world.One more thing every Sunday is a special day theres a super vibrant Djs who melt the floor with techno House tunes, some of these Djs are well known djs and some are good upcoming artist.

Oh Living room was a dream. The place is small maybe about 10 tables... The entrance is typical of Maboneng eateries. Up a lift to the 5th floor.. once there, there was a cute wall for pictures. Inside the actual restaurant. We quickly got the meaning of the name. The living room, is really alive. With greenery planted all along the wall, and next to most tables. The food was delicious, really fresh. Great value for Money..The nice touch was the books they used to bring the bill, suddenly we were running pages trying to find the names of the flowers that were placed on our plates when we ate.Most of their meals cater for vegetarians. The music is very indie alternative music...Its a very relaxed chilled vibe. Would definitely recommend for light lunch before you go out to Bob your head else where.

Save me Kelpie. Embodied my angle wings here but someone stole my horse wings 🐎. They said they were visited by a Pegasus. Gosh how I desired to experience this place with you. Feel it need some joy back like you dont know how I love a good party. I Grounded electricity here. Some power codes. 🔋 the last time I was here I had a massive shift about true friendship ans how people wanted me for my business ideas 💡 I remember a man watch me and I put my bubble up. Maybe you were there all along ? Love the food style here and the plants definitely the plants curious to know about the whole building ancestry

What a beautiful venue! Nothing about Living Room is ordinary, the service, the drinks, the food, the decor... All of it and all of the warm, friendly, exceptional people come together to create a place you dont want to leave. Take a camera, the photos inside as well with the views over the city will be forever memories.

Very well located and the vibe is great after the sun goes down.Unfortunately had very shaky service - barman made up for it by consistently helping and keeping the drinks going.They have a R50 entry fee before entry but seating is a problem & the site didnt give us an option to reserve a table. So you realise this after having paid the entry feeAll of them were reserved when we arrived buy no one was due to arrive for another 2hrs or more. They could work on that more.

This place is fantastic! It is located in a very dodgy area. But as soon as you get to the Maboneng area and up into the living room. You literally feel like you are in another world. The decor is fantastic. They have some great food and some of the best tasting cocktails Ive ever had. The music is fantastic. And then theres the beautiful view off the top of the building of the city. In my opinion, this is one of the best places in Gauteng to get a drink!

The place was really crowded and had some difficulties getting a space to stand/sit, but we managed to get a table after a few minutes. The drinks are good and cheap while the food is good but nothing special, just a few bites to hang. The music was amazing and the whole atmosphere was perfect - people were dancing in their spots. The décor inside is really special, lots of plants and very special. Definitely recommend the place!

I got a bit flustered when I saw that the menu had been changed, so I tried the chicken wrap, its not great but its not bad either.But the music is amazing as always!! Huge fan of the DJ👌❤

Amazing vibe. Love the diversity of people thi place attracts. This is a proper roof top bar in the middle of the maboneng precinct.

I have so many wonderful memories of great times I spent there with friends, and I never get tired going to the living room.

We hosted our Christmas party here and it was nice until they told us that,by 16:00 we should be out as they had to prepare for a private function. I wish they had told us well in advance before making a booking.

The ultimate rooftop bar experience in Johannesburg. Great vibe, solid music. Drinks are unfortunately very expensive, likewise booking a table can be too.

One of the most trendy rooftops in Joburg...with a good music and with an underground stile in downtown...its views will make you feel as a local although you never been to before...Sundays afternoons turned into a day club despite it closes at 7pm...a must if you want to dance listening to electronic chords...Love it!

Booked the whole place for an evening event. Great view, one of the best places to have a drink and get a feel for inner city Joburg.

Had some amazing food and drinks at this place. The view wasnt like those found in Cape Town, but its definitely different - in a good way. They would have received a way better rating if they werent so damn expensive and made me pay for entry.

Ambience is super chilled on a Wednesday afternoon. Perfect for sundowners after a hectic day. They experiment with their in house cocktails. Still want to try out their mains. The plants in the room give it that city life in the jungle fee l.

Beautiful vibey upmarket themed rooftop venue for every occasion. A little cramped and youll struggle to find space. But that adds to the cosy theme. I will go back. A must see in the Maboneng District.

Place is great to escape the hustle & bustle of joburg after work. Not a great venue for kids or non-smokers, smoking is allowed everywhere which contradicts the greenery & fresh air you seek in this open air space. the food was excellently presented but tasted quite bland - but theres room for improvement.

The view and the vibe are some of the best in Joburg. Unfortunately on the weekends Sundays especially it is overly full to the point that one feels claustrophobic and week nights are seemingly dead.Really beautiful concept and design.

Such stunning views from up here. Quite the hip crowd as well. There is an entrance fee of R60 so be prepared, they do accept cards though 😉

Its difficult to find a table but the music is always good. Its a great mix of people from Jozi with a great view of the city. Awesome vibe on Sundays

Amazing place to hang out on Sunday afternoon - I believe there is cover on Sundays but its absolutely worth it. Interior decor is very modern and green. Cant go wrong with their cocktails. There are DJs as well - I didnt particularly enjoy the DJ I had on the day I went but typically they have good DJs. Another bonus point is that you get to see beautiful sunset at Living Room.

This place is absolutely perfect if you want to see Joburg Skyline. Love their cocktails and its best you visit for sundowners. Parking seems to be always full in Maboneng,but safety is never an issue as there are security guards visible until very late at night

Awesome lunch here with my family. Coolest bar in Joburg...Cant wait to go back. The food and wine are to die for...Please try the platters and falafel. Amazing views over the City too...
