Place Jean Rey 8, 1040 Bruxelles, Belgium, Zaventem
Living Room - Coffee shop in Zaventem, Belgium
Nice place, healthy breakfast
Good ambience. The place seems like it has just opened and seems to have great potential. If dining in, I’d recommend having your treats upstairs where you can see a pretty view of the square on top, especially in fall.Edit: realized thanks to Maxime the place was first opened in 2015. Sorry! Nothing to do with the quality of the food and service. My thought was that the upstairs space has the potential to feature interesting things - in its bookshelves primarily - whether it is cool art, books to sell, or decorations, for a cozier space up there.
Great place where you can eat an amazing soup, choose a vegetarian option, pay with card and... get a glass of water! Charming and professional staff. Make sure you dont miss it for a nice lunch
I was excited to visit it but it is closed on Saturdays and owner probably forgot to update in here. Will give another try soon.
Good coffee, great working environment, nice staff. Some very tasty pastries.
Very good latte coffeeWe still have a strong flavour even with the milk.
A very cozy place, such wonderful people and central location. Much recommended!
Good location and nice, light meals for lunch or a snack. However the coffee isn’t great.
The soup of the day is always very tasty and served in a big bowl. The scones are not very tasty. Once in a while its ok and the déco is nice but all in all overpriced and it feels very hot on the upstairs floor.
Beautiful place with delicious lunch (Daily special). My favourite place to have lunch, I order without even checking menu. Very tastful, light food. Good coffee. This place is very welcoming for home office upstairs although it occur to be a big too warm there (great for people who are always cold). Beautiful interior joining MidCentury Danish modernism with industial modern trends.
Nice and stylish place, best coffee and tea we had in Brussels!
Great service, nice atmosphere, good coffee.
Good coffee. A little slow. Chairs outside not comfortable
Great coffees and pastries. When the sun is shining 🌞 the terrace is the best place to enjoy their amazing capuchino. When its raining 🌧️ the beautifully designed interior will not spoiled your experience. The staff here is very kind and helpful.
Cosy and friendly. NY like neighbourhood. A bit expensive for what you get but not a surprise 100m from Schuman
The place to have meetings from. You can get a little busy and noisy but it’s a great environment to get some work done. Their coffee was great, and their staff is cheerful, which is a good start to your day
The staff is awesome, the coffee is really good and what tipped me over to 5+ stars was the free sanitary towels in the toilet. That place knows what great care for the customers means. ♥️
Friendly service: 5/5Tasty food: ?I was surprised to discover that the place sold out their food one hour and a half before closing hour. The employees were very friendly, but it doesnt help too much if you can only serve tea and coffee, and hungry guests arrive.
Perfect place to grab a coffee and to take a short break between two meetings.WiFi and kind staff are helping to make you spend a comfortable moment in a cozy environment two steps away from the EU Parliament and Council building.
The place looks very nice but they add animal products to every single thing they sell. There has never been ANYTHING to eat, only drinks. Such a disappointment.
Awesome cafe, awesome people.I was enjoying my drink and food inside of the cafe. However I had to leave quickly after noticing someone next seat was sneezing continuously with a runny nose and sitting inside 😏😒🤢🤒I hope the team can follow this up and when they see such incidence they may ask the person to sit in the open air section or leave. I think if there one thing we learned from this pandemic is that we have no right whatsoever to contaminate other people with our viral or bacterial infections.People must be responsible and stay at home in such cases. If they dont then cafes and restaurants must check on this.
Very cosy atmosphere! Good coffe, nice place to meet friends but even work/study
The best place in town for a flat white coffee. Also, as a Brit, I absolutely adore the homemade scones and impeccable service. Its always a treat to visit.
My favourite cafe in Brussels. The place is lovely and the baristas are always nice. Absolutely recommended to go to work there or just to spend a nice time with friends.
Poor service . The wait staff was really rude . For example the barista started a conversation with her colleague in the middle of my order and gave me a dirty look when I asked if she understood my order. But then I had to repeat it anyways . Reasonable coffee prices but the coffee wasn’t something special .
Cosy interior, great music, good coffee, interesting alternatives to croissants, shaded terrasse, friendly staff. One of the best options in the Schuman/Jourdain area. An original and independent small business.
Amazing/kind service and good snacks/drinks.I was looking for a place to study so I hassled the staff quite a bit but they were all really kind and they all did the absolute most for me. They even went to the extent of making off menu drinks for me. Liam was really welcoming and took great care of me.Great place to study if home isn’t an option for you, I stayed around 2/3 hours no problem.
Very cozy, especially if you need to study or work for a while. I had pecan carrot cake, and it was very good. The prices are ok. Tea was very good as well.
Place with clear potential - though Covid19 measures of plexi glass are not helping to maintain its cosy atmosphere...Looking forward to revisit when were more back to normal.Great choice of cookies and coffees for vegan / lactose intolerant
Cookie and scone are average, a bit pricey, not a must to try. Coffee is fine. I like their atmosphere anyway, nice decorations and music, probably a good place to work on laptop 🙌🏼
The place is beautifully designed and cozy, but overly expensive and the quality of pastries and coffee is unexceptional. You can find similar/better products elsewhere. Also: I ordered a pistacchio cake to go. It was packed in a beautiful box which almost made it seem worth the 5 euros... When I opened it at home it turned out to be another pastry. Not great service either.
Came here twice for lunch. The food is always healthy and fresh but was not particularily tasty beyond that from what i remember. But the ambience and outside setting are excellent and inviting to come here for coffee, lemonade or, indeed, lunch in the sun
Stylish, hipster, good food: small selection, but good quality! Also apart from good traditional scones and cakes, they usually have a few gluten-free home made cakes too; today it was a deliscious looking brownie!!!
I had high expectations for the food and was a bit disappointed. It was good but lacked depth in flavors. The place is absolutely gorgeous though, and I can see myself coming regularly for meetings, to work on a laptop, etc. A lot of light coming in, its spacious, there are regular table and lounge style tables.I didnt get to try their baked goods but they looked amazing.
I’m a true believer that if I go to a cafe and the staff is so so, I won’t enjoy the place 100%. I went in, it wasn’t busy, no hellos and no smiles... I asked about food and they said only cakes, which was ok. However it was right before midday and it would’ve been nice if the staff mentioned there’s a lunch menu coming up in fifteen minutes. I did love the decor and the feel of the place. My coffee was huge but half of it was soy froth so not the best. Scone was tasty, though. I’ll only come back for a quick coffee if I’m in the area again.
We visited living room on a Sunday morning so no issues finding a table. Staff was as friendly as you would expect and the food arrived fast. Coffee was fine and the scrambled eggs with bacon ok. A bit overpriced (€20for a menu.
The place has a nice but chaotic coziness over it. Staff is... Well, staff. No extra smiles over the counter however genuine people. Rather long wait for a simple cappuccino & a scone which was put in the oven when ordered but served cold 15 later. Cleanliness/hygiene is a questionmark. Will go again when other coffee places are closed.
The place was really nice! They have a lovely terrace and two floors inside. Staff was friendly. However I ordered an iced matcha that was not really good. They still use plastic straws (and they gave me one without asking), hopefully they stop soon!
The kitchen closes quite soon so we didnt get the brunch we actually wanted, however you can find good drinks and desserts (delicious cakesat any time. A very casual environment and kind staff.
Amazing food, always friendly staff, cozy atmosphere- the only minus (and thus 1 star deductionis that often, they run out of vegetarian dishes.
The place is modern and the staff was friendly. The allergen information on their dishes was well indicated. We went for lunch and they didnt had a lot of options: three rice chilly bowls, a sandwich and something else. I choose the meat chilly bowl and it was tasty and the quantity was good. We paid under 20 euros, so it is cheap for Brussels. No gluten free beer here.
Literally a cosy living room. Excellent for having a coffee on one of their sofas, or on their sunny terrace. Good choice of home made bakery. To be avoided at lunchtime and brunch time, unless you are ok with noise. A bit too expensive for the offer.
Cosy and trendy bar. Menu is limited but evrything is home made. Great selection of home made cakes and cookies, also gluten free. Good coffee and selection of teas. It seemes pricey but the portions are large. I ordered a salmon omlette for 13 euro, home made limonade (not too sweeti had for 16,50€ in total. The terrace is nice. The furntiture is for sale, i bought a nice lamp 😂
Super friendly staff and the breakfast menu is so good. Really hard to choose what you want as it all looks so good!
Good food but not exceptional IMO. Brunch is alright for 15-20eur. Toilets are handy is you have a baby, theyre spacious even for ur pram and disabled people friendly. The view is great and Im sure it will be packed soon when spring and summer arrive. Quiet location on the weekends next to a park.
Nice cafe with a few food options. Beware the croque monsieur was much larger than youd expect but very much worth the money. The furniture and decor is mostly all available for sale.
Great coffee and lovely fresh food (muffins, cookies, scones, brioches, cakewith good gluten-free options. The little extra: the coffee shop also doubles as an interiors store where you get to try out the furniture. The staff are very cool but very friendly :)
Cosy place for a coffee and a little snack. Really enjoyed the atmosphere ! Very bright. Comfy couch and plenty of sitting areas. The coffee is good and there is also a good selection of teas. This place is quite calm which is very enjoyable when in need to get some work done! I highly recommend!
Nice little coffee shop. Very nice coffee; they pay lots of attention to it. Tasty treats. Free wifi. Cosy place. Good place to work for a bit or have a chat with friends.
Good and fresh home and handmade food. The place and personal are both welcoming.
