Bookstore & coffeehouse serving sandwiches & dessert in a laid-back setting with sidewalk seating.
Lovely place with great food, coffee and books to read while drinking and eating 🙂
Relaxed ambience, great coffee, polite staff, and great selection of books.
This is a pretty little cafe with a few books, rather than a bookstore with available drinks. The outdoor patio and garden are beautiful. There is a confusing section though where the next door restaurant starts their outdoor seating and Little Tree has seating too, so make sure you are clearly on the Little Tree side if you are visiting them. This is a fun little distraction to catch a snack. It is at the "V" of a busy five-way intersection and your teeth will be rattled by motorcycles screaming by at extremely unsafe speeds, so there is that.
Great coffe place, tasty food, fair prices and very friendly staff!!
Have to add my five stars to this place. Its very difficult to get a decent pot of tea in Athens but this place pulled it off perfectly. Also, my cappuccino was the best Ive had in the city, and theres a lot of competition. Friendly staff, quiet and leafy site. Can be tough to find a table.
The cutest little place in downtown Athens. If youre an extrovert bookworm, you have to pay a visit
Lovely place, fresh food, tasty food.Just before the Acropolis meseum when walking down from thr Acropolis bus parking lot
Lovely place, we returned here almost every day of our stay in Athens. the staff are super friendly (especially the wonderful Elisa!), the coffee is great, and they make the best orange cake I’ve ever had (when it’s the cake of the day)
A wonderful nighbourhood cafe surrounded by books. Outdoor seating under shady threes. They have a small tasteful menu, perfect for small meals and drinks. My favourite in Athens so far.
Really nice spot for a coffee/beer/wine/snack, and of course find a book to read. Lovely shady area in the trees outside. Sat in a cool part of the town near the Acropolis and museum. Friendly helpful staff.
Loved the cute bookstore/cafe vibe. All food are great
Very lovely place with good drinks. Service is a little slow but being on vacation you should slow down anyway.
Cute little coffee shop that’s also a bookstore. They have a nice outdoor seating area that’s shaded!
Good service and a refreshing beer for me. Didnt get a chance to explore the bookstore.
Very nice staff and nice drinks. I like the shade of the big trees outside. Highly recommend
Excellent. Rainy day. Service with a smile. Best filter coffee ever. Delicious focaccia sandwich. Again & again!
Been there twice and absolutely will come again! I tasted two great red wines with extra snack in this lovable surrounding. I highly reccomend especially when its gets darker and you can enjoy beautiful light, trees and calming ambience ❤
Great vibe and good wine for a bookshop
The best place to be - excellent food & books and of course with cocoa :- and the most amazing people running it...
Been going to Little Tree for years, and every summer I come back to Greece Im thrilled to go back. The folks that own and run the place are kind and hardworking, their snacks and coffee always hit the spot, and their books are well curated. (I always leave there with at least 2 new books.I highly recommend this place — for a brief, shaded coffee break from the Athens heat and busyness, to sit and read a book for a short while, etc. Cheers!
Lovely staff and atmosphere, a great place to sit and read or draw (they have a lovely selection of note/sketchbooks)The food and drinks are amazingly fresh and very very tasty. 10/10
Absolutely perfect little Cafe that I’ve visited twice now!! Staff is so nice and friendly and the cappuccinos are great. Awesome way to beat the heat in Athens!!!
Beautiful little cozy place, ideal for bookworms and literature explorers. The polite service and calm location makes this place an oasis for relaxation in the busy area. Just sit back, enjoy your drink and read your favourite book, or try a new one from the cafes shop.
lovely place, very kind people and a quiet and relaxing place to spend the evening, overall amazing experience. would recommend it!
Peaceful place for coffee or drinks!
Lovely cafe slightly of the touristic area around the Acropolis. Shaded seating outside provide a nice break from the heat. The menu is nice and original with well priced sandwiches, salads and pies.
Coffee here is decent but the location is nice, cute little book shop with trees outside shielding you from the mid day sun. Very close to the acropolis if thats youre kind of thing
Books, coffee and cake. Lovely open lay out cafe surrounded by trees and secluded feel. Chilled out, nice music and friendly staff - idyllic spot to stop off and read.
Relaxed coffee and pastry shop. Greek coffee fancy-fied. Well worth the visit away from the tourist streets.
Good coffee, friendly service, and nice atmosphere. Their lemonade was mediocre, however, holding this review from being a 5-star.
Red coloured “euphoria” iced tea is worth to try.Very calm and shade place to have a break from Plaka tour under the sun.It seemed like they have great book selection, I wish there was some English options too.
Lovely, quiet spot in busy hot Athens. Simple but unique. Chill vibes. Helpful staff and great refreshments. Thank you.
In Athens there is very few place you can read a book and drink your coffee. Actually, i think this place also is not suitable for reading a book silently on weekend. It was so crowded and very few people were related books and reading 😏 I am sure in weekdays place would be more appropriate for reading a book silently. If you are going to sit outside, municipality cut the trees, therefore there is no shadow due to trees which can be seen old photos anymore. You can be burnt by sun. On the other hand, service team were so friendly and they were carefull with cleaning. I ate an orange cake, it was extremely delicious. I drank both Greek coffee and also filter coffee, both were so successful. They have salty food, variety drinks and breakfast options. Also you can order cheese platter and your wine. Prices were quite affordable. When we think about Athens standarts and popularity of the place we can say it is cheap. I will try this place again in weekdays to be more satisfied. I would like to add they brought bill with bookmark and it was so nice. Really good idea because I did not have my bookmark with me and it saved my day. 😊 I can easily advice the place
Wow. This place is amazing. It sits at the tip of a wedged shaped street, underneath a beautiful variety of trees. The exterior and interior are beautiful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood close to all the commotion. Filled with conversations in Greek, noise of sipping coffees or cocktails, sights of books lining the walls of the interior. It’s a beautiful curation. Their espresso and lemon tart are worth trying. The prices are reasonable. The service is slow and steady. A wonderful place to enjoy a slow pace.
Such a cozy and calm place in the middle of Athens and close to the Acropolis. Get your breakfast here, pass by for a coffee or tea on the terrace, relax and read. Atmosphere is simply great and so is the staff.
The atmosphere and shadows of trees are nice. We got greek yoghurt with nuts and honey which was really good. (good honey!I got sandwich number 1, which was good too.Coffee was good but a bit pricy. Freddo Cappuccino for 3.7 was more than other palces I tried.
Nice and quiet corner very close to Acropolis serving various teas, deserts and nice snacks. Its also a bookstore in which you can find a place to read or work. Really nice!
We casually stopped at this super cozy coffee, just underneath the Acropolis, next to the luggage drop. We were attracted by the cute corners of the place, filled with interesting books and small art products. We sat down for breakfast and had Cappuccino (probably the best cappuccino you can have outside of Italy), a chocolate muffin (delicious), an apple pie with cinnamon and a Greek yogurt with fruits, honey and nuts!!I would put a thousand exclamation points next to the Greek yogurt, the best I have ever tasted, super fresh and soft! Also the plates and cups in which the food was served was so cute!100% recommended and definitely will go back if I ever come back to Athens! One only “negative” aspect is that the service is quite slow, but totally worth the wait!
Very lovely cafe that is also a bookshop. The sandwiches were delicious and very reasonably priced, and the coffee was good.
Super cozy cafe - bar place with very friendly and helpful staff which are there to enjoy your drink. Must to try the variety of tea options.
Absolutely amazing “cafebreria”, combining bookshop, great fresh foods and amazing coffees. If you like the cultural scene. Jazzy music, breakfast in mornings and wine in the evenings.Really a great place in the center near Akropolis.
The drinks and snacks are a little pricey but average for this area. I paid €4 for a hot lemonade (was a little too sweet but lovely all the same). The bookshop is cosy with places to sit outside and indoors. A small collection of English (and even smaller collectionof French books has kept me happy.
Absolutely loved this spot. The best coffee you will find in Greece and they actually serve Almond milk. Very affordable and great atmosphere
A very lovely coffee and bookstore. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I could spend an entire afternoon, wandering among the books. This place is perfect for the bookworms! And the staff is very nice and helpful.
A lovely cafe popular among both locals and tourists - delicious coffee, cow milk alternatives available, lots of interesting books and a lovely outside sitting area. Highly recommended!
Top 10 favorite coffee shops during our travels. Everything we had was quality.
One of my favorite spots in Athens. It’s cozy with indoor seating and outdoor seating under some big, shady trees. A good selection of Greek authors translated into English in addition to the many Greek books. A perfect place for reading
Cute little cafe / bar / bookshop. Seats outside in a shaded tiny little square. Perfect for a morning coffee. Staff exceptionally polite, everything made fresh, wide range of herbal teas
Such a wonderful small independent café and bookshop. Delicious coffee and pastries and the decor and the setting is simply beautiful and very cosy
It’s been largely known for quite some time that coffee and books make great companions. That winning combination definitely continues here. Relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff, tasty food, and deliciously strong coffee all combine for a wonderful experience.
