Great Chinese food

I loved the food here! I forgot to take a picture of everything because I was too busy stuffing my face. We had sautéed feed strips with black pepper sauce and the scrambled egg with tomatoes. I really liked the stir fried green bean with meat so yummy.Not the fanciest place but great food.

Shame on this restaurant for having the gall to call itself Dumpling King. We ordered the pork and cabbage dumplings and the filling was inedible. Im not sure where they sourced the mystery meat they call pork but it was full of cartilage and the colour had this unnatural, off putting pinkish-red hue. Im not sure how you can expect return customers if this is the quality of ingredients you use.

Fantastic food! Among the best Chinese food Ive ever had. I got the Kung Pao Chicken and it came with lots of nicely diced veggies (carrots and zuchinniand the meat, sauce, and peanuts were perfection.

Went for lunch yesterday - we ordered a variety of vegetarian dishes to share and they were all delicious.

This is some of the best food I’ve ever consumed. Vegetarian options are the bomb. I grew up in rural sask, where our communities are built around our coveted Asian restaurants. I haven’t found a single establishment in Saskatoon that satisfies my craving for my hometown’s Chinese food … and while the food here is authentic to the Szechuan style cuisine - certainly rivals anything I’ve had in other Canadian cities - it’s rich and bright and flavourful and absolutely scratches that itch.

I ordered from SkipTheDishes a chicken feet and got a frozen chicken feet, absolutely disgusting

It was an amazing meal for two. We had the crayfish and was so big that we had to request container. My favorite is the pan friend leek, shrimp dumplings

Very good food served hot and fresh.

You really just need to walk in the front door and take a deep breath to know that the food is going to be good.Just discovered this little place, going to be coming here often in the near future! Very authentic flavors if youre looking for some Chinese-Chinese not American-Chinese.

Of the three dishes we ordered, two were great! Unfortunately the spring rolls were awful. Horrible flavours and texture. Inedible.

Since having travelled to mainland China, I have been looking for authentic mainland chinese cooking from a local restaurant. This is it.Ordered the pork and cabbage dumplings (boiledand the potato, green pepper, eggplant dishes. They are exactly what I hoped for, comfort chinese food to remind me of good memories.Large portions, well made. Thanks!

Really enjoyed the food here. They have a large selection of dishes from all over China, mainly focusing on ones from the Szechuan region. In terms of ingredients, they do relatively well for what they have, and everything tastes fresh. The portions are quite generous and the prices are reasonable. Only thing I would change is that dishes were a little salty.

This was the worst EVER , spring roll was a greasy egg roll tasted terrible, dumplings were terrilbe greasy and over cooked, dough way to thick,fried rice not fried peas and carrots must be free way to much.shut it down that was terrible

I ordered chicken dry chilli pepper and spicy chicken fried rice today.for takeaway...sorry to say the food was awful...tbe rice was very sticky and starchy and we have tried so many food joint in Saskatoon way below the standard...and the chicken was extremely deep fried and there were french fries in it which was soo very hard to bite each and every bit...i had a total bill of almost 30 dollar...which kind of got wasted...i will strongly not recommend this place

We stay in Saskatoon every year to visit family. I was surprised to find an authentic Szechuan restaurant here in Saskatchewan.We had multiple dishes everytime we ate at this restaurant. We never dissapointed. The beef in boiled chilli oil is so tasty. Their dumplings and wontons are all handmade, and with great flavor and generous portion.I especially like one of their cold dish, the trip in chilli oil. It has cilantro, onion, chilli oil and chilli flakes, and other spices. And the tripe is cooked just right, not chewy and not to soft.

Nice atmosphere and staff with great food. Adventurous eaters will love it.

Delicious and generous servings! We had the Spicy Stir Fry Tofu Szechuan Style (with pork), Sauteed Eggplant with Fish Sauce, Cumin Lamb Fried Noodle and Chinese Leek, Shrimps and Pork Dumplings. All were delicious - I particularly liked the Tofu and the Eggplant. Friendly service!

Wonderful food! The sauteed eggplant was outstanding, the dumplings excellent and the service very good. Definitely worth a visit.

My absolute favourite asian food choice! I love the dumplings and the hot and spicy wonton soup! Im a really picky eater but this place is honestly very traditional, quiet and the perfect place for a chill lunch or dinner!

Enjoy this place about 4 times a year. It’s got a lot of selection but I tend to stick to three items that I share with someone most times.

Authentic Chinese food made fresh and served in large portions. Very good.

Great Chinese dumplings. The wrapper tends to be a little thicker than other styles, but you know its handmade and robust enough to keep the filling juicy. All the flavours are great, but you cant go wrong with Pork and Shrimp. Though known in Saskatoon for their dumplings, their other menu items shouldnt be overlooked. Delicious takes on traditional dishes from all over China; the menu can be overwhelming in its size. I certainly havent tried anywhere near all their dishes, but I love the mapo tofu and eggplant dishes that they serve here (besides of course, the dumplings). I noticed theyve recently redone the decor as well.

Best dumplings Ive ever had (I always get the pan-fried shrimp, pork and leek dumplings). You get a ton of them in one order too! I pretty much eat these once a week

The Fish-flavored pork is not that good. However, the spicy pig feet is really good. But some of them are too dry n hard to chew.

Amazing handmade dumplings! You have to get them pan-fried for the full flavour! Their shrimp and pork dumplings are to die for! Also, the server and chef were very friendly! Must try!

Hated this place. The only thing they had going for them was quantity. The dumplings were very doughy and not very good. I also got fried noodles and they were incredibly bland. Disappointing because I love dumplings.

The night my friends and I visited was awfully quiet, even it is located in a prime location. The renovation is like typical Canadian Chinese Restaurant, do leave your jacket in your car if you know what i mean.However, the food is authentic, tasty and not pricy. The couple who own the place are super friendly. TBH, I can eat their food all day long if I want.

This restaurant had demonstrated insufficient knowledge about traditional Chinese style food. The dumplings here has not yet been processed professionally prior serving. Poor Customer service with unrealistic pricing ,I do not recommend this restaurant.

The sweet and sour pork and shrimp was probably one of the best I have ever had! All the food we had was wonderful as well. Loved the atmosphere and the restaurant. Thanks so much for feeding passing travellers. We will have to come back!

Amazing Sichuan food! Didnt eat the dumplings but the kung pao chicken, shui zhu niu (Spicy beef in soup?and yu xiang rou si were all amazing. Difficult to find many of these dishes in Saskatoon, especially this good!

Amazing dumplings and alot of other authentic options on the menu. There is free parking behind the building and the establishnent is not licensed. Adding it to my list of 20th Street gems.

The dumplings were good. Boiled or steamed, but not fried. The Oil Noodle was delicious and spicy.
