Little Miss Korea - Korean restaurant in Darwin, Australia
Really disappointed with service.Food was ok. Some plates were nice and others almost uneatable.Place has definitely gone down hill.
A little too westernised for me, where way too many of the choices have coconuts in it. The handful that didnt have coconuts were decent though, but you will be actively aware that its more a place cosplaying Korean than being Korean.
Food was good. Korean fried chicken and small bowl of rice was expensive to my liking. The tempura eggplant was very nicely cooked. The kitchen did cater for my request to have one half of the Korean fried chicken in one flavour and the other half in another flavour.
Had dinner and cocktails, everything was really tasty. Was a little disappointed they did not have BBQ night monday.
There was no bbq on Monday night when we went there. We booked a table inside in the bar but when we sat at the table we didnt like the smell inside, so we changed to the outdoor sitting in a beautiful ally with lots of colourful graffiti and enjoyed our tasty dinner and cocktails.
Quite a quirky place however when we first stepped in we were a little overcome by the smoke. With doors open this appeared to clear up after a few minutes. There is a couple of different bbq menus and then some alacarte offerings. The service was a bit slow and certainly did not offer all the extra condiments that you would enjoy if you were in Korea. Still a pretty good experience.
Overpriced with disappointing service. Accepted online booking for 9pm. Were slow to seat us and then asked to quickly order as the kitchen closes at 9.30pm. Presented with the bill that listed an entree we ordered but did not receive.
Lovely food 😋, a bit to expensive in my opinion but hey I only come once to Darwin
Our entrees was just warm and the main meal wasn’t much warmer. My beef cheeks where swimming in pumpkin soup instead of purée. Jim’s beef was stuff not good at all. Want be back
The worst service i ever took! When we raised out hands to call them up, the waitress saw but just ignored us and choice to served the other local people. It happened many times. Excuse me? Racism?? And the BBQ beef is not fresh, color was dark and smell bad. Asked them to change and even wait for a long time. Because of this, we cant finished at 7pm (our table was booked at 7and the waitress just urged us to finish. Never come again.
Amazing Korean restaurant in Darwin... although at times busy it is well worth booking a table ahead of time!
Interesting experience. Very noisy place, meals all came at different times. 1person had completed their meal before the next meal was served. Received drinks in a timely fashion.
Great Bibimbap for lunch. Green tea was let down. But food and service good
Great food. Definitely worth visiting. we ate here twice . Has good vegan options too.
Great customer service and friendly staff. However, as a korean it is not authentic korean dishes at all. It is fusion dishes.
The food is amazing with great flavours, particularly the slow cooked beef cheeks. The meals are quite expensive, but the quality justifies the price.
The food and the service was great. Compared to other Korean BBQ’s in down south the price was a bit high. I thought the ambience could be a bit better. Overall good experience!
Friendly and efficient staff who were all pleasant. Westernised successful korean place. Full of BBQ smoke in the whole place, nowadays it seems to be considered as normal though. Tasty BBQ, they refilled side dishes as requested. Enjoyed here. Oh kimchee was beautiful!
Planned an evening that promised to be a fantastic experience judging by the reviews and photos. We were looking forward to the cooking at our table. After a long walk we were greeted with a closed door and sign stating they were closed Sunday and Monday ....not so according to their website.Had to find another venue. Wont be attending LMK again. ... too many other choices to be so disappointed with this choice.
Amazing food! And great cocktails. The location is interesting being in a back alley with tables on the side walk and graffiti on the building walls. Definitely recommended.
Great food, great staff, fun cocktails. Dumplings and fried chicken are a must. Hidden away with many bars close. I will definitely return.
Came to eat at lunch. Food was great and fresh. Quality never changes which is great! Only other improvements would be to have a larger selection of lunch items such as bulgogi and rice, spicy pork and rice, grill pork and rice, tteokbokki, etc.
Solo diners, business travellers, be aware that this restaurant does not do tables for one, even when there are tables available. The only place to eat alone in this venue is in the bar. While the food is good, the staff and their treatment of lone diners is less than welcoming. There are many excellent restaurants in Darwin that make solo diners feel more than welcome
I had the beef bibimbap and it was pretty bland. Everything here was extremely tiny and pricey. The whole restaurant also smelled like smoke due to poor ventilation systems; many KBBQ places have much better suction. Most of the menu items werent Korean, and the dishes that were did not taste authentic or good at all. Ive seen many similar sentiments around on google. If the prices were lowered and ventilation systems were improved, I would consider visiting this place again. The only positive I can see about this restaurant is that it serves alcohol.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Well done to the team at LMK for raising the standard of food service in town. If youve never experienced Korean BBQ before, head down and fire up a coal pit. The friendly staff will help you out but you still do the cooking!
Had lunch here a few days ago. My sister wanted to eat the Korean Fried Chicken but the waitress said that they had just changed the menu. The waitress offered to speak to the chef to see whether they could make the chicken, she came back promptly and said that they could. The Korean Fried Chicken and the Vegetable Dumplings were to die for. We decided to order the watermelon martinis which were amazing! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious! Best restaurant in Darwin!
Went for dumplings only. All delicious, favourite was chicken. Nice Cherry Blossom cocktail too.
Had my anniversary dinner in this restaurant and it was an amazing night, we have a lot of fun doing the BBQ. The meat was so flavorful and the service was 10/10!! The waitress definitely knows what she’s talking about. Last but not least, we’ll definitely be back when we visit Darwin!
My favorite place in Darwin!!!! The food is sooooo nice and I like all of the cocktail here!! The staffs are really nice! I’m nearly going there everyday
Nice meal and great service! The lady Flora is very friendly and helpful
My favourite favourite restaurant in Darwin, always good quality food and the barbecue is great fun for my kids! The cocktails from the loading bay are always so tasty. Best dishes to have are lobster prawn wanton and chicken pop. A must try when visiting town!!
Had a great meal here. I got into Darwin at 9.15 and this restaurant still served me, which was great. The staff was nice and the food delicious. Ill go again next time I go to Darwin
Went online and found this restaurant in Darwin CBD in their most colourful small laneway, surprisingly I got the best Barramundi fish in my life in this cozy, chic and trendy place for Darwin reminds me of Melbourne. LMK completed my night because I arrived in Darwin late and this restaurant is still open until 10pm. What a good introduction for Darwin.
Delicious dinner at this hip Korean joint in one of the laneways in Darwin. We planned for a drink but stayed for dinner - glad we did as food was excellent. Also good value. Great cocktails as well.
Great food from both the à la carte and BBQ menú for lunch and dinner. Excellent and interesting cocktails. The service can be a little slow
This is like a taste of Korean BBQ not authentic nevertheless good food not cheep but good quality food great atmosphere cant complain i enjoyed it.
It would be good to be so popular that you are turning away customers at the same time as ignoring those who made a reservation. Nearly half an hour sitting in the corner with no idea what was going on. I am not sure what would be an acceptable time but it felt took long without even a glass of water.
I liked interior of the restaurantWe had late lunch then dropped by this place to check out and ordered 2 small dishesprobably just average quality food.
Dumplings are delicious and you can have it for just $1 each for happy hour. The BBQ was good too, marinated beef, chicken and pork were tender and melt in the mouth.Just 3 stars because of the service, slow and rude, you dont feel really welcome. They had a fully booked restaurant and not enough staff to serve and clean tables. With the BBQ on our table the room temperature was not cold enough, we sweat a lot. The atmosphere is nice.Food: 7/10 very goodService: 5/10 need more staff to do betterAtmosphere: 7/10 nice
Awesome food, great service. Highly recommend the marinated meats.
It’s my first time to enjoy food at Korean restaurant in Darwin, we have to wait couple minutes because this place always full in dinner time, when I was there the stove not really working and make our meat not cooked well, they try to put more charcoal to make it out, but yeah still, they give us side dish more while we wait our meat cooked, I think you have to check every stoves so no more costumer wait and give more variants side dish, kimchi should be there, last time we didn’t get kimchi, the food is good, thanks
Make a reservation if you want to get a table on Saturday night! I had an enjoyable evening, with fantastic food and drinks. Vegetarians definitely wont starve!
Quality food is served and service speed is also quite fast. However, price is on the high side. They also complimentary plain water. Crowded on a weekend.
Loved the concept and menu here. It was a little hard to take however once it filled up and many were cooking their meals at their table. Owners need to address a smoke filled room better than small exhaust fans. Great experience and food.
Beautiful open dining, great vibe, staff friendly, and the food. Omg it was amazing. We had the pork dumplings and enjoyed the BBQ for 2. The Angus Beef and Teriyaki Chicken were so delicate and delicious. The added egg was a great touch. 10/10 recommend.
When entering Little Miss Korea I loved the fit-out. We were welcomed nicely and served with manner and without waiting. The food was fresh and good sized portions. Prices are Darwin standard.
Great food, the seafood was cooked to perfection and the broth was to die for, would appreciate the staff being a bit more receptive but overall very pleasant experience and great food
Spacious seating and friendly staff. The bossom (pork belly dishwas quite delicious and the highlight. I also enjoyef the bibimbap which was well done despite not being authentic. I think only the KFC was a bit on the ordinary side. The batter was a little too thick and not what I tenf to expect but it was still fine. All in all, a very respectable showing of korean food
Most honest three star review Ive ever given.Beer selection was good, however the staff were not very informed about the selection they were offering. The venue and atmosphere was fantastic, suited to the food perfectly. It was the food that kinda dropped the ball however.Pork dumplings were very nice, cooked just right. The spicy seafood was something that we were all excited for but what we got did not get close to the expectations. It would have been barely worth the money at $10 less. Prawns (all 3.5were cooked ten minutes too long and were harder to shell than a mud crab. Was more or less a plate of squid. And the crime here was the lack of spice which seriously was the one thing that I was expecting. Flavour was a little bit mild too.Chicken wings were cooked perfect, but thats the only thing done right. Pigeon wings in a kilo of batter with enough dipping sauce for maybe four of the ten on the plate. The batter rendered them flavourless and the sauce was there as a tease.. Actually the pickled veg was good too.Condements were par for the course. The other issue I took was the young girl looking after us had no energy and really struggled to understand what she was serving, even the drinks were above her pay grade. We jumped ship before desert and opted for some icecream from Johns down the road.
Had a great experience on this place. Delicious food, with good variety and reasonable price.
