Little Falls - Waterfall in Gadsden, United States
LOVE this place. Me and my fiancé had a blast here swimming and jumping off the ridge. Just make sure you check the water before jumping!
My daughters called it the Hippie Hole.Failed to mention the hike that we had to do to get to the waterfalls. We loved it and will definitely come back again.
Super packed my first time visiting, totally worth it!
Lovely place and wonderful walk.
So, it was amazing, however, if you are old and out of shape (even though round is a shape), I dont recommend it. I almost wanted to fake a heart attack to get air lifted so I didnt have to hike back out.
A good day ,With family ,On the water at Hippy Hole
Nice view
Beautiful place that I never knew existed, but I am very glad I know now! Its a hike, but worth every drop of sweat to see it.
had the best time here! super easy to find and such welcoming people. multiple spots to look out on. was the perfect day trip, will definitely be back again!
Is Amaziiiing❤ is Peaceful 🥰 is nature❤ is perfect place for the special day🌹 we Really Enjoy with my Family ❤❤❤💋💋💋 y my 2th time100% RECOMMENDED
What a great place to get out and stretch your legs! The parking lot to the falls themselves is a short, easy walk on a developed trail. Three generations from 3 years to 73 years enjoyed our outing. The falls are beautiful and the railing solid at the overlook. There was a longer, natural trail down to the lower falls. This was more challenging for the very young and very old ends of our group.
Once again, beautiful, great hike, never ever disappointed with the views.
A place to make great memories while enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
Friendly staff, quick service, most importantly clean.
Overcrowded, with trash and trash people. People have abused this place. Wouldnt recommend
Natural paradise! Access from trail starting at rear of “Little River Falls” parking area. Hike is optimal length not to long not to short maybe (maybe 20-25 min with kids), mostly level grade with roots and rocks, steep area going down to river. 4.5 yr old navigated entire trail. Had to carry 2.5 yr old some. You will likely want to go wading or be prepared to go swimming in this beautiful place. Be prepared! The rock river bed almost everywhere is extremely slick it helps to wear something like crocs. Very little trash. A few items of clothing left behind. Pack it in pack it out.
This is a fun swimming hole. It a bit of a hike but worth it.
Heck of a trail down and back up if you have little ones, but our kids loved it and throughly enjoyed them selves.
Always a good time. Place is usually clean parking can be a pain in the busy times.
This is a great spot to sit by the water and think. Its very scenic and not too difficult to get to. The final section of the hike is a very steep set of stairs, not low mobility friendly.
Great hike for stretching the legs after a long drive from Middle Georgia.
This was absolutely spectacular. The falls were breathtaking.
Nature is a necessity to the health of the human spirit, and hiking is good to keep chonkiness under control.
It’s a decent little hike, but very doable for even the out of shape people.Good views, relaxing, and the destination at the river was a good vibe.Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy the outdoors, but don’t want to go full Man vs Wild.
on duty ranger was very helpful and knowledgeable. nice hikes and great waterfalls
Beautiful Natural Area just off the highway.Treacherous hike to the water though
Definitely worth a day trip there. We went and walked the river down to the Little Falls/Hippie Hole and made a long day of hiking and swimming.
Amazing!! So much fun! Beware the steps. They are steep.
Not for the faint of heart! Walking down to water is a hike to put it mildly. Beautiful scenery along the way. Path is well layed out. Markings on trees help keep you in the right path. Word to the wise: dont carry alot with you. Path is at best 20 minutes long of treacherous hiking and the decline down to the water is almost a 90 degree staircase of rocks. Once you reach the water, rocks are very slippery so be careful entering water. Definitely need hiking shoes for this walk down.
We love swimming and hiking at Hippie Hole. This is our second time here and decided to do two days of swimming instead of one.
Such a beautiful place. The waterfall is breath taking! It doesn’t take long to get to it either from the parking lot. They also have a beautiful hiking trail there as well
Love this place. Been coming here since I was a kid very beautiful. But it’s hard to come here now with the park patrol harassing you. Be prepared for a beat down and search before you see the waterfall.
So awesome. Great swimming hole when water is low.
I love this place. I used to come as a kid and I bring my kids. The worse part is the steps going down and back up. Other than that its perfect.
Awesome and beautiful place to go for a little hole and take a swim if you feel like it. My dogs enjoyed hopping around on the rocks (I did too), and there are plenty of deep pools to swim in. We did a little scouting Sund and there are good places to jump off rocks into the water too.
Great place to go for some beautiful canyons and waterfalls. Im from Huntsville so it was a great day trip.
We loved visiting here. Definitely wear some non slip water shoes.
It’s a beautiful place to go and swim, especially in summer. It’s not too far of a hike either!
Its a nice place, fun to hike around.
Absolutely loved going here! Great scenery and a nice drive. While here you can enjoy alll the different overlooks along the way and have a great time taking it all in! Would also highly reccomend taking the hike down to the swimming hole nearby, definitely worth the hike! Enjoy
Beautiful place to swim, picnic, or just enjoy a nice scenic view. Backroads all around the river to check out to different overlooks, views of the river.
Great place to swim and hangout but difficult for some people to get to.
Love this place! So beautiful! My favorite place to go swimming. Free parking and a short hike to the water.
Beautiful place to swim and the cleanest water anywhere around.
Beautiful place if youre up for the hike. The swimming hole is nice.
Beautiful scenery and nice trails!
Great small hike (20 minutes one waywith nice scenery along the canyon rim. Falls are beautiful. Highly recommend.
Marthas falls is a fun place to go swimming with friends. The parking is free and the trail is relatively short.
Great stop for pictures and picnic. Has "rustic" restroom facilities. Easy access to the falls.
We wasted 15 minutes trying to find Martha falls in this location. But Martha Falls is 4.3 miles South East from this spot in US-35. Marthas Falls Parking lot (Coordinates : 34.392004, -85.618784is to the right after you have crossed Little River Canyon bridge and travelled 0.6 miles SE in US-35 (look for the brown sign-board). From parking lot, walk about half a mile on the trail, take a left turn, and climb down to the canyon. The waterfalls is just 3 or 4 feet high and you approach it from top. But there is a HUGE swimming home with awesome diving spots and the entire hole is at least 10 feet deep everywhere. Absolutely wonderful spot. I enjoyed it a lot!!
