Energetic spot offering global shared plates, oysters & homemade sangria, plus patio seating.
Little Drunken Chef in Stamford
Description
One of the best places to eat, at least the Mount Kisco site. Terrific food, atmosphere and one particular waitress is extremely courteous and very attentive
MoreBrowsing online menu....f you make it larger so you can read it, the lower portion of the menu cannot be seen at all. There is no scroll slider at the right to go down with. So the restaurant is off my list for tonight and possibly for good.. This is a great graphic marketing tactic! Goodbye!
MoreLoved the place! They have all kinds of foods from various kitchens - i.e. Mexican, Japanese; Italian, American etc. Also a large variety of drinks and cocktails. The food was very good.
MoreService was good, the restaurant was empty for lunch on a weekday. The menu really has gone mainstream and theyve lost a lot of the great stuff they used to have like the lamb shawarma. Instead its now just an average lunch place. The food that is on the menu is still quite good, but I miss the old menu.
MoreI was so excited to try this place. And although the food was good the service was horrific our waiter was rude, disrespectful and obnoxious. And although I know restaurants can get busy and staff gets busy there could not have been more than 10 people there that night and service was horrible. Hour and half to get water and still never got it. Will not be returning again. 👎
MoreThis place is a hidden gem. While doing some banking business in Highland Falls, my daughter searched for a place to eat. She found The Drunken Chef located in Mt. Kisco and they did not disappoint. The salads were dressed perfectly, the goat was succulent, tender, and tasty. The salmon was grilled, flaky, and very well seasoned. The wings we ordered we the lemon grass (I believe thats what they werepack a punch of delicious flavor. I will definitely return to Mt. Kisco and take a seat at The Drunken Chef
MoreNot worth it. Supposedly their “must try” steak and egg flatbread was a thumbs down 👎. Hard bread, too much cheese, and unseasoned tasteless chewy bits of meat summarizes it. Falafel was not falafel. It was this strange fried ball of green paste that resembled the taste of chickpeas. For 5 dollars you get 3 small burnt looking balls. The salad was good, but it wasn’t anything special. The fish part of the fish tacos were also good, but again, not too great. The best part of this meal was that the waiter was nice and the place looks nice. In short, nothing to do with the meal.
MoreNice bar vibe with unsuspecting delicious Indian food! Their serving styles are also pretty unique. The staff is very polite. Would definitely recommend for a fun night with friends.
MoreSo tasty! Lots of really excellent flavors and options.Mushroom ravioli - the raviolis themselves are not the main event, they come in this flavorful broth with tons of mushrooms and leeks. Absolutely delicious, 10/10 would come back again just for this. The raviolis themselves were flat and had practically nothing inside of them but its not an issue as the soup it is served in is so full bodied.Shrimp and avocado tostadas - very tasty much bigger than I was expecting.Halibut burger - excellent flavors, very filling. Was surprised that it a patty, with the fish having been shredded as opposed to a solid chunk which made it hard to identify as halibut. Dont get me wrong though, this was a delicious dish and you still get the seafood flavor which pairs very well with their toppings.Fried cauliflower was so good! And shrimp in garlic sauce as well.
MoreIncredible taste of this drunken margarita with mezcal and agave, plus a sangria with a popsicle! 😋
MoreJust a little spot that warmed our hearts. Fish tacos were the perfect size. Salmon was a meal my wife couldnt say no to. Friendly service and good conversation atmosphere.
MoreFantastic food, delectable sangria with a popsicle in it! Service was friendly and good.It was my first time there and it was very empty for 830 pm on a Saturday, I understand it is usually packed, but every place in town was quiet that night for some reason. Id definitely return.
MoreGreat table outside Al fresco. Menu made it hard to choose, but the assorted taco plate hit the spot. Service was fast and courteous, taking specialty drink orders and personalized food orders with smiles and no fuss. Going back!
MoreAmazing! Oxana (I hope I spelled her name correctwas incredibly gracious waitress, we felt very comfortable with the whole covid business and all. Highly suggest going. Love the place 10/10 WILL be back !!
MoreLove the interior designYou can see chef open the oyster in front of you
We miss you, your food is great even at take out, but we miss dining in! Good luck ! But when people come in to dine, I suggest you “put an invisible mask on your respiratory system” while eating! 😎 Best, Albert
MoreI just love this place. Youll have to wait to sit during peak hours, but totally worth it. An immense menu of large and small plates. Great vegan selection. Usually spacial cocktails too. Its busy, noisy, chic and fun! And the food is great.
MoreWhat a wonderful place and most importantly my food was delicious. I really enjoyed a different meal than my usual restaurant fair. I was very pleased with the decor and amazing drinks too! They also have 2 other spots...the little kabob station & crepe house across the street. Check them out!! You can thank me later !
MoreThis place has really solid crepes and an assortment of Indian and Indian-fusion dishes. Great for a quick lunch and some Franco-Indian fast casual food. Definitely one of the best spots in town, and close to the train if youre headed to NYC.
MoreInteresting drink menu and awesome variety on the food menu! They clearly label all the gluten free / vegetarian / other restrictions on the menu. Fries that come with some of the orders are a mix of regular and sweet potato so if you like both, you dont have to choice nor do you have to pay an extra fee for the sweet potato fries. The chicken tikka burger is delicious and the perfect amount of food. The interior is very well designed/decorated.
MoreThe good:The food was pretty good. I went with the tuna bowl. The citrus soy had great flavor, but the rest of it wasnt as flavorful as Id hoped it would be.Service was also good. Our waitress was attentive and our water glasses were filled regularlyThe bad:The music is incredibly loud. I found myself yelling to the rest of the table and missing a lot of the conversation. The menu is very busy. I found it really tough to read without getting constantly distracted by how smashed together every option wasGiven the music, probably wouldnt try this place again until that changes. I would be open to trying it again if that were to change even if the menu stays the same
MoreNice, upscale Tapas bar in MT. Mismo, near Home Goods. Had the Truffle fries, which were Truffle-e and a lamb taco. Didnt drink because I had to drive. Lamb taco was OK but the Vegan bowls looked good! Might try that next time. (Addicted to Home Goods)
MoreI gave this place 2 stars for the great Mojitos , Margaritas and Vegetable Samosas. The service was poor and four of us each had a different meal and no on walked away happy. I had the Beet Salad, the cilantro with all of the stems was uneatable.
MoreWonderful food and service! Went here for a date night and the atmosphere was very rustic with mood lighting. There menu had so many options and had a decent amount of vegan options and gluten free. I highly recommend the bunny chow option which is a bread bowl. They give the inside that they cut out along with the meal toasted and oiled. Will definitely be coming back again soon!
MoreDean made, hands down, the best espresso martini Ive ever had. The staff was all super welcoming and attentive. Also, try the cauliflower appetizer. Best decision youll make all weekend.
MoreI went here for my girlfriends birthday and we had a n amazing time. Food was really good and services too. Chris was our serve and he services was great..
MoreThe best bar on the Mamaroneck Ave strip. I had app of falafel, entree of Impossible Burger. Excellent service. I’ve seen postings of them being racist, but the clientele was definitely a melting pot and everyone was receiving prompt and courteous service.Definitely will return.
MorePleasantly surprised to see that this little gem in our neighborhood served truly authentic Indian tapas. The owner came out and graciously served us a panner dish that was delicious!!!! We tried the lamb frankie roll and the chicken vindaloo both amazing. Definitely a must try in if youre in the WP area.
MoreArrived at 4:20pm today for dinner - the place was empty except for a few people at the bar. We waited 25 minutes before asking if the kitchen was open. The bartender asked three individuals who was at the front desk if they plan to serve us. They argued for a few minutes stating that he or she was not responsible for serving my party of six. We left - the service is horrible here - there are plenty other accommodating restaurants on Mamaroneck Ave.
MoreI had horrible service sitting at the bar. I was over charged and when I questioned my bill, the manager offered me a credit back to my account but never provided me a receipt. He stated "it will be in your card 3-5 days now and we dont give refund receipts." I still havent received my refund. He was talking to us like we did something wrong, while the server over charged us for our meals and drinks. While sitting at the bar and trying to enjoy our meal, the bar manager was screaming at the bartenders which made it an uncomfortable environment to be in. As a White Plains resident, I am very disappointed with this restaurant.
MoreThe food was great! On the service side of things I think there could be a little more effort placed on asking asking customer how their meals are and refilling their drinks. Other than that Id say to definitely give it a shot.
MoreInteresting wall decor and a decent menu. Service was nice and quick, menu options were okay. Food was pretty good but nothing amazing. Decent spot for a quick bite or people who love getting tapas. Friend got the taco sampler, said the lamb was the best option of the 4 tacos. Will have to go again and try more items from the menu.
MoreGreat service, good pours of Guinness.
Visited the Little Drunken Chef for Sunday Brunch and had a great time. 25 dollars gets you bottomless drinks, which includes beers, sangrías (white and red), Michelada, bloody Mary, bellinis and mimosas. You can switch your type of drink anytime. The staff was very professional and friendly. The food was also great. The dishes are served tapas style with lots of choices. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the drive ( around 20 from white plains)
MoreDelicious food, very interesting menu! I would definitely go back and recommend this place! I just wished the service was a bit better we waited a lot for simple things. The Venezuelan waitress was really nice and tried to give us a good time but she had a lot to cover on her own while other servers werent very attentive.
MoreWow, very impressive! I am from California where amazing taco are on every block. These tacos were amazing! I very order the combo taco plate, all of them where on point. And the people here are great, very friendly and and a good since of humor . FIVE stars
MoreThey have a great menu fantastic tacos, tapas, shrimp, calamari, hamburgers and sandwiches. They also have oysters and a lot of of great food. The staff was very helpful and I also nice and attentive definitely go back to try the other tacos we had the halibut and lamb fantastic!!!!
MoreA lot to choose from their menu. My Sangria was pretty tasty. Definitely worth a try.
MoreThe worst thing about this restaurant is that your stomach isnt big enough to order one of everything. The menu was really impressive and filled with interesting dishes I wanted to try. Ended up splitting a bunch of appetizers with everyone and may have found my new spot in Mt. Kisco!
MoreBig selection of different foods which all looked delicious. The drink menu was awesome. I had a margarita with a mango popsicle stick in it...thumbs up to the roof! The calamari was great with a spicy Tai sauce on it. The oyster selection was awesome. You wouldnt think that oysters in Mt Kisko would be very fresh but they were and seemed it was taken straight out the ocean. Service was a bit slow although it was a Monday and the young italian kid there held his own like a champ. Be aware of this tall Spanish A-hole with a goatee. As Im walking out with my wife hes gonna have the nerve to say good bless you in Spanish to her. May not sound like much but you dont say s#it like that when a man is having a great day with his wife. Where Im from its disrespectful...anyway besides that great spot! I took some pics of the Atmosphere there...great place to relax, get a buzz and enjoy some really unique food.
MoreDelicious food and great atmosphere! The owner took the time to check on us and ask us how everything was several times. Desserts are delivered from the dessert shop next door, now thats smart. The only downside to the high quality of the food is that lunch ended up having 3 courses, lol.
MoreReally fun place to go and try something new. LOVE the presentation of their dishes! Really creative. They also have outdoor seating so when the weather is just right, I would suggest sitting outside. They have regular and high top tables. Plus, I believe they even have a happy hour which Im always looking for places with a good happy hour. My only critique is that the menu is pretty busy. Its little hard to see and read everything but just order one of their unique cocktails and ask your server. Theyre very courteous and helpful!
MoreThe food was great and it caught me off guard when I walked inside. Lets say its different from what I was use to... Yes I will come back...
MoreWe came here Sunday (May 6,2018evening at 6PM. Once we arrived we were seated right away. We did have reservations, but today the place was fairly empty so anyone couldve just walked in and didnt have to wait. (not saying that it wasnt busy, because it was but they have a good amount of indoor/outdoor seating. The server was nice and gave us his input on what he personally liked on the menu. That helped us make our decision. The menu is large, so much variety from Vietnamese to Italian. I mean, it was so much. We got Shrimp ceviche, oysters, lamb, potatoes, veggies, and falafel tzaziki tacos. We were so full! We will be coming back to try more stuff off the menu. I want to try desserts next time. As for drinks we got a skinny margarita and beer (called something damm). My skinny margarita drink was great. I recommend this place!
MoreStrange place is all I can say, but according to our waiter thats what they are shooting for. They do anything and everything to be different from every other restaurant, including not serving the popular selections youd expect at a restaurant. I had a spicy margarita that was pretty good, it was worth the experience but I wouldnt order it again. The food selection was also strange, I can recommend the sushi menu, smoked salmon with caviar served on these cool little spoons and the jumbo shrimp were excellent and the way they were served was awesome.
MoreLittle Drunken Chef is a wonderful, quaint restaurant with excellent food and service. The owner, Bonnie has done absolutely everything right. The menu is so unique and eclectic. Choices you wont find anywhere else. Everything is made to perfection. Service was great too. My husband and I saw that most people who dine here must be regular customers because they were all greeted with hugs and kisses from Bonnie Saran. She has four more restaurants, and for sure we will be trying each of them within the next few weeks. I have no doubt that like Little Drunken Chef, they wont disappoint.
MoreSo, I took my daughter there for the first time, Ive always heard good stuff about this place. I wasnt disappointed in the food. Although the lamb shawarma is technically not a shawarma at all, you cant even call it that, but the meat was so tender, tasty and the plate was so filling, lots of meat and rice although at the first look it didnt seem that big at all. My daughter had lamb tacos which she liked. The spicy shrimp we had for appetizer was so good (I forgot what they call itbut I will post a picture of it here, you cant have enough of that tomato sauce, although two tiny slices of bread on the side didnt really help enjoy it much. I will order it again for sure. The dessert was OK, nothing impressive. We had a molten lava cake which again didnt act like one lol no goodness oozing from the inside only a blob on top. Wont order that again. The only disappointment was in the very slow and sometimes nonexistent service. We were 3 people in the restaurant in an unpopular time. I still had to get up to ask for basic stuff, forks and knives, napkins, water, check... I dont know if its meant to be help yourself type of service!! Maybe, I dont know.
MoreGreat food. Whimsical decor, almost like dining on a pirate ship. Lively atmosphere. Excellent service. Extensive gluten-free options. The shrimp is spectacular. Impressive oyster offerings.
MoreNorthern Westchester needs more places like this. Great tapas and meat and cheese menu, as well as creative cocktails and a new world, affordable wine list. Service is also impeccable. Just dont expect a quiet dinner, it can be very lively.
MoreLove this place!!! The atmosphere is tons of fun for any age...Ive taken my boyfriend here (23 y/oand then with my family (even grandma loland both times we had a blast. The food is GREAT, you cant go wrong with anything. Even the staff is fun!
