Little Bay Picnic Area in Kempsey

This would have to be one of the most picturesque views I have ever seen. Beautiful pinic area which Im sure would filling up early. Dont be fooled by these inviting waters. I have witness 3 people being swept into the ocean. Stay smart, stay safe!

Shhhh... I thought this joy of a space was a secret..! Best way to see kangaroos is surely out on the open like this, enjoying a nibble of grass and spectacular views of the ocean! South West Rocks is a fabulous place to see happy wildlife... and... May it stay that way! 🌞🌈

Such a beautiful bay. Kangaroos, unique igneous formations, somewhere to swim and boulder hop. A great stop for the family. My nephew particularly enjoyed it.

What a beautiful place filled with relaxing kangaroos and their joeys that you can get very close too. A safe place to swim and explore the rocks. Toilets and cooking facilities.

Had a nice lunch overlooking the most beautiful beach. The Kangaroos even came to see if we were interested in sharing our food.

I walked here following the Monument Trail from the Gaol. Looks like the perfect spot for a picnic. New toilets and undercover picnic tables are great.

No BBQs even though it says there are on the website. Skip it andgo round to the campsite area instead where there are BBQs, better swimming and still kangaroos

Beautiful quiet and tidy picnic area near the beach with public toilets. Plenty of wildlife to photograph, as well as plenty of feral roosters! 😂

A great place for a picnic, lots of trees provide shade for a bbq and kangaroos. Wildlife is not shy to come and clean up any food you may have dropped, lots of kangaroos, birds and goannas. With Little Bay beach just a short walk.

Absolutely stunning! Lots of kangaroos, but they can be a little aggressive due to people feeding them. The beach is lovely, but dangerous for swimming. A couple of wood BBQs. Lots of tables.

Great place to relax and take the family with spectacular views

Little bay has a lovely sheltered picnic with views as the name suggests of a little bay. The swimming can be dangerous with rips and this is an un patrolled beach so caution is advised. The beach is a great quiet little spot to sunbake and except for peak holidays is mostly quiet.

This is a pleasant stop recommended by local. Although it’s a little out of the way in our drive from Syd to Brisbane, I’m glad we made it. The secluded beach was beautiful. On top of that, the hoard of wild kangaroos was fun to watch from afar. If you are arriving mid day, go further into the grassy area and you will see them resting under the shade in pack. They are very alert so keep your distance. Although I find that when I hop, they hop too. 😬
