Liquid Descent Rafting in Dillon

We had a fantastic time white water rafting and cliff jumping with our tour guide Andrew. He was extremely knowledge about all wildlife, rock formations, and other nuggets of information you wouldn’t think to google. He was also one of the friendliest and fun guys I’ve ever met - always cracking jokes and keeping a light and fun atmosphere. Bryce (our driver and photographerwas an equally great dude and I hope to see them again when we come back to Colorado! 10/10 recommend.

This place was awesome today! All the people there so nice, funny and helpful. This was our first time rafting and it was a blast, especially with Tori our guide, fun girl. Very safeEveryone worked as a team and no boat was left behind. Met some great people too, we will be back for the intermediate💃💃💃🤣thanks again.

I cant express how much I reccomend this place if you ever want to raft in Idaho Springs! Our group went on an intermediate rafting trip last week and everyone had a great time. The staff here are wonderful and I think they are what made the trip go from great to awesome! Jordan and John were our guides and both were very friendly and personable! Becca also took some great photos and drove our group to and from the river. We cant wait to come back!

My wife and I did the intermediate trip through Clear Creek Canyon and had a blast. Christoph was our guide and he ensured we had a great time.. everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Liquid Descent!

On telephone told class 3-4 the whole time. More like occasional 1 and a 2. Lazy river is more like it. Asked for refund 15 minutes after booking and an hour before the trip after speaking to other customers and realizing that the advanced section we paid for was unavailable. Try being honest. It goes a long way.

Great experience! Easy ride, fine for beginners. Our group had ages 4 to 74, and no one fell in. It was a great success and a fun way to beat the heat in Denver. Kyle was a fantastic guide. The team clearly knows what they’re doing. We’ll be back!

Amazing adventure. The crew at Liquid Descent was top notch. Our guide Gino was a total professional and made it a lot of fun. We were a completely inexperienced crew and went on the intermediate he was able to guide us safely down the river while keeping it enjoyable.

I am the former wife of Ben Shapiro. We recently got divorced, and I came to Colorado with my girlfriends to grieve. We had the expectation of a short but sweet wilderness adventure. What actually happened was beyond what any of of us expected. To say this rafting trip was life changing would be an understatement and a dishonor to Izzy. It was soul suckingly amazing. She exceeded all of our expectations in every way. Make sure you pack a towel or your friend without leather car seats drives because we left absolutely soaked (partially Izzy’s fault;). Make sure you all go and request Izzy the best rafting guide on the river.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Booking was easy to do online, once you got there it was clear where to be and when and the front desk gave exact instructions. The guides were knowledgeable and knew what they were doing.. this was a joy to do for our first time and highly recommend using this company for a rafting trip! We will be back!

The experience at this place was amazing,our group was large but Ben made sure all our members got the best adventure possible ,all their guides are very knowledgeable and experienced, Izzy was the guide for one of our softball team groups and they were absolutely thrilled to be in an all girls boat , so empowering for them.The location is beautiful. Great place for white water rafting. Brice was our guide and he made our trip so much fun! Professional, organized, and funny staff all around and clean facilities. There are lots of rafting companies to choose from in the area and I would go back to Liquid Descent every time!

Rafting was never on my bucket list but this opportunity came along and Im glad I did not pass it up. I had a great time and felt secure that my daughter and I would be as safe as possible while having a great experience. All the guides at Liquid Descent are knowledgable and obviously very experienced. Special shout out to Jordan for making our trip down the river unforgettable as well as that impressive rescue fishing Coach out of the water!

We did the intermediate trip (two adults in their late forties and a 16 and 19 years old). It was fantastic! Our guide, Andrew, led us through everything flawlessly and safety was always at the forefront. He did an excellent job and we had a great time! The facilities and way they run the trips are excellent! Highly recommend this company!

Our trip was perfect. We had some younger kids they were nervous and our guide Brice was great with them. He made the trip so fun. He explained everything so everyone understood even the younger ones. It was a fantastic experience! Thanks Brice! See you next year.

We had an awesome day with Liquid Descent! Our group of 25, or so was treated great by Kelley… from booking, waivers all the way to the night before email, she kept us on schedule and answered questions.We had Kenny as our raft guide, pretty sure he saved my life! LOL!

We took two young children (6, 8with us on the beginner level and had a wonderful time. It was the first time for us to bring the kids rafting, but felt very comfortable once we met the staff. Andrew was a great guide and the entire operation is well run. We highly recommend and plan to return!

As always, Liquid Descent is our go to for river rafting when we have guest in town. Everything is exceptional about his company. From the reservation experience, the staff greeting you when your arrive, the staff that assists with the gear and safety measures, the bus drivers, photographers and guides. Huge shout out to Kelley for her patience and friendliness as we experienced some issues in getting there on time. Alex was our guide this trip with our friends and their 2 kids and he showed us the best time. He was very outgoing, funny and kept applauding us on how well we were doing. My husband and I plan to go back and book an intermediate trip this summer. Keep up the great work everyone.

Super Fun Time! Staff was kind, helpful, & knowledgeable. Came here with 3 other friends & we got paired with two others in our raft. We did the 3 hour rafting & definitely could have gone for the full day. It was mine & another friends first time rafting & it was so fun! Our guide Christoff made the trip so fun & we even got a history lesson about the mines! I would definitely recommend going here!

My family and I have been here twice and have done both the starter and the intermediate routes. Both were really great! We had Richard for our most recent trip and he did great! Kept us safe while having fun and shared some really interesting facts and history during the journey! Would recommend him and liquid decent to anyone wanting to try out something new! Thanks!!

You NEED to go to Liquid Decent! This was hands down one of the best experiences my family has had together, and we love to travel. Our kids are 8, 12, and 15, and the Beginner trip was perfect. From check in to our amazing guide Alex, this place is so great! It is run super smoothly, they are super kind and informative, and we were in great hands the entire trip. Their store has a great variety of shirts, hats, and sweatshirts, and the photo package is an absolute must. They captured some awesome family photos we will treasure for many years. Wilson the dog was also a favorite of my kids. : My family loved it so much, they are asking to go one more time before we fly home next week. I cannot recommend Liquid Decent enough!

Absolutely a blast! Intermediate/Advanced was so much fun I didn’t want it to stop. People were excellent Lee was an amazing guide, was awesome being so in sync with people from my work. Highly recommend.

Where to start!? These guys were organized, conscious of safety & to top it off hilarious! It is apparent they know what they are doing, enjoy it & want you to enjoy it as well. Our guide, Malia was very talented in maneuvering the raft and engaging us in the sites along the way. I shifted my foot at the wrong moment & knew I had made a mistake. I instantly found myself overboard. Our guide quickly laid out orders to my family & they became a team who stopped the rafts forward motion while she performed a rescue. It was certainly unexpected but an experience to remember. Her quick actions got me back on board & we completed the descent with a full boat. I highly recommend these guys & look forward to rafting with them again.

First time rafting and with 4 young kids chose the beginner. We all had a blast!!!! So much so that the kids wanted to turn around and do it again lol. Gabby was an excellent guide and she had fun with our family. Highly recommend. Got lots of wonderful pictures too!

AMAZING!We booked Liquid Descent after my wife attended a bachelorette white rafting party 2 summers ago with the same company. Im sure glad she brought me this time!Booking was easy and efficient online, you can even fill out your waiver online to save time at check in. After check in, staff gave a run down of all the equipment we may need for the white water rafting experience. After giving people time to change and prepare, we loaded on to the bus for the launch point.On the bus ride one of the guides did an entirely thorough safety run down! After reaching the launch point, we were broken into smaller groups with our own guides and given a mini white water rafting lesson. Then we were off!The rafting experience was one I will never forget! What an exhilarating ride and so much fun! Our guide was so much fun and answered any questions we had throughout the ride! He made us feel safe and gave us very explicit and clear instructions when needed.This company is clearly goes above and beyond to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for customers!

Such an awesome experience for first time rafters! My family (9 &14and I did the beginner trip and I highly recommend it to anyone that is thinking about it! The staff was wonderful, our instructor, Pete was fantastic! Just do it!! 😊

We are in town for a few days and decided to take in a white water rafting trip. Online scheduling was easy peasy. They sent us the waiver, which we signed electronically. They called to tell us to come 15 minutes later than planned due to water conditions. We showed up and everyone was super friendly. They explained exactly what we were going to do and what we needed. Our guide, Jessa, was fantastic! We dumped over on the first rapid and she made sure we got back in safely. Beautiful views and wonderful people. We will be back next summer!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Coming from Iowa, I tried very hard to have our family vacation organized and planned out. Somehow, though, when I put the location for our white water rafting trip with Liquid Descent I used their other location instead of Idaho Springs…I realized my mistake one hour before our scheduled rafting trip and we were at the Kremmling location which was over an hour in the wrong direction from Idaho Springs. I immediately called and told the workers what happened - they told us to get to Idaho Springs as quickly as possible and they would try to make something work.We got to Liquid Descent at 12:32 for our 12pm rafting trip - missing it. Kelly went to work for us. She started counting numbers and giving us different Scenarios that would allow us to go on one of their trips before we had to leave for Iowa the next day. She told us to go to lunch and she took our cell number and said she would call us soon with a solution. Sure enough, Kelly got one of their rafting leaders to do an extra trip for us and we were able to go on the 3pm float. Kelly’s efforts and kindness to make our trip still a success was greatly appreciated and helped make my whole family not lose hope that our trip would be ruined due to my error. The incredible dog, Wilson, also helped make my kids feel so much better about the situation.At 3pm, we were loaded, dressed in wet suits and booties, and on our way to our first white water rafting experience in Colorado. Our rafting guide was Izzy. She was so upbeat and kind to my kids. Through talking, we found out she was also from Iowa!! The entire trip she made sure we knew what to do and when to do it. She let us quickly switch seats so my kids could be where they would have the best time. She gave us the best experience while making sure we were safe.Once back to the Liquid Descent building, the owner of the company personally came up to me and asked if our trip was a success. This really meant to much to us and showed how much this company cares for their customers. My kids were so excited to tell him all about their experience on the river.This is honestly one do the best business I’ve ever used when it comes to being family friendly and worth every penny spent. Thank you Izzy, Kelly and the entire Liquid Descent crew for giving us memories we will always talk fondly about.

Very impressed by the whole operation here. They are very organized and exceptionally helpful in keeping everyone well informed on what to expect, from gearing up and riding the bus to the raft ride and returning the equipment. All staff and guides were so friendly and helpful. The ride itself was so fun. We did the beginner ride and our guide (Aniwas very patient and gave us lots of information about the local area history throughout the ride. They provide wetsuit overalls in all sizes with pullover splash jackets. Your clothes will still get damp but not too bad- just bring dry clothes, as they have (I wore shorts/tank top under it, my kids wore swimsuits... temps were in the 50s but we stayed warm enough in the gear. Water was cold, so rental river boots were good option over open sandals.Highly recommend adding this experience to your trip!

We couldn’t possibly say enough good things about our experience!! It was soo much fun and everyone working there was a blast to work with! If you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life, and every single worker here shows that! 1000% recommend!! 100/10! Our family had an amazing time!

Hands down one of the best rafting trips near Denver. I usually raft down in Canon City. Decided to try out Liquid Decent and it was totally worth it! I would highly recommend this rafting place if youre looking to raft near Denver. Plenty of class IVs to do and pictures came out incredible! They take plenty of photos, but you must buy them all. $40 for about 85 photos. Worth the $$. Usually other rafting spots its about $20 for one photo.

The team did a great job providing all the equipment and information to make our day a great one. Joe was our guide and did a masterful job of guiding us down the river. This was our first time rafting and we chose the intermediate level trip and it was the best decision. Everyone felt super safe and had fun at the same time. 4 Texas girls on our annual girls trip had the BEST time on the intermediate rafting trip. Jessa as an awesome and so much fun raft guide! We highly recommend you making a reservation to have a great experience for white water rafting. Thanks for such a fun adventure!

Amazing experience! We were a couple of first-time whitewater rafters doing the Intermediate course, and we couldnt have had a better time. Everything was run very smoothly, and we never felt awkward or intimidated by the instructors. They really make an effort to make you feel comfortable and encourage you to have the best time possible.This was in July 2020, so face masks were required until basically the moment your raft went into the water. All equipment was visibly sanitized after use, and there were a few fantastic dogs hanging around the facility as well.Would do again in a heartbeat!

Rafting here was super fun. We did an intermediate with a sunny start and ended up with rain and hail and cold water. It was fun..

My husband, myself, and my 8 and 10 year old daughters did the beginner trip. Whoa! I was no where prepared for that amount of fun. Kenny was our guide. He was great; personable, knowledgable, and very careful in our safety instructions. If you are in this area I would say this is a must do. We have been on a 9 day road trip and done and seen a lot of fun things, but this is at the top of the list. Thanks Liquid Descent and thanks Kenny!

What an amazing experience! We did an Intermediate trip today and it was fantastic. Christoph was our guide and he was amazing. He did a great job preparing us and navigated the waters well. Our group was four adults and a 13 year old. At one point, we hit a boulder and the adults all headed into the water. Christoph did a fabulous job pulling us back in and getting our group going again. We laughed so hard and are now "official members of the Clear Creek Swim Team". : The rest of the trip was amazing. The view was beautiful and the rapids were so much fun. I would highly recommend taking a trip with Liquid Descent to anyone and everyone!!!

We were very pleased with our experience and are already planning our next adventure with Liquid Descent! We had called at 9am on a Tuesday, spoke with Marina regarding a same day reservation. She answered every question we had and was very professional! She never once gave the impression that she was too busy to answer my questions, and she provided excellent customer service! Plus she was very likable over the phone! That’s important as well! She was able to get us in on the 12pm intermediate trip. My boyfriend has never been before, and I hadn’t been in years, so I was nervous as to how we would do on the intermediate. As long as you LISTEN to your guide, you’ll be good! Since it’s warmer now, wetsuits are optional, so make sure to wear breathable shorts! They do not have a locker for you to store your belongings, you leave your stuff in your car and the office staff safeguards your keys! I recommend wearing the splash jacket just to protect from the sun, but also keeps your temperature pretty neutral if you’re prone to getting cold! They offer bootie rentals for $3. If you don’t have legit rafting shoes, just get the booties. You’ll be thankful you did! The guides will go over everything you need to know! They are very knowledgeable and have a lot more experience than most guides with other local rafting companies. Side note, if you are hard of hearing, sit in the back of the raft. It’s very important that you can hear the commands the guide calls out. Our guide was Shawn! He was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable in the rafting world and has international rafting experience! Aside from that, he has a great sense of humor and is very professional as well, so it made for a very fun trip! There is a photographer who drives the bus up along the creek and takes photos along the way. So leave your cameras and phones behind, don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of photos! They send you home with a usb full of all the photos. You do have to pay $47 for the USB. But that’s better than paying $800 to replace your phone that you dropped off the raft while trying to take photos. When you return, they have sanitation stations to sanitize all your rented gear! I really don’t think I could give any constructive criticism to the company! Everything was fun and professional! Another side note, in the pictures I posted, you’ll see a very important “what not to do”. The man in the front is not holding onto the tip of the paddle which is called the T Grip. Don’t be this guy! It’s very important that you never let go of the T grip!

Great atmosphere with sprightly guides. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a couple of dudes showing us where to go. People were just hanging out on couches playing video games. Really chill. The guides are informative and safety-conscious without being a bore. Marley (sorry if I misspelledwas super cool and gave us tidbits of local information about mines while on the river. We did the intermediate 1/2 day. It was just enough rapids without being too dangerous for semi-beginners. I would recommend these dudes to you all if you are looking for a fun adventure.
