Lipa cave - Tourist attraction in Puke, Albania
Very beautiful place and nice guide Gorana!
Beautiful cave with a well thought lightning points. Take some clothes with you, its around 10 inside. A colourful train with a tractor in the head takes you to the cave and back to parking lot. The road itself with mountain views will be additional attraction for those who would like to visit the place.
I visited this wonderful nature place this August, and we were family of three generations (age range 13- 84 years). We liked every moment on the tour. Very well organized, great nature wonder, and perfect guide Danijela who made it all at the highest possible level. She was knowledgeable, kind, patient and lady with a genuine human touch. Don’t miss to visit the place while touring beautiful Montenegro.
Ice cave. Well Mai rained and organised. The road to it is an adventure already.Be aware it’s cold inside (8°C)
Absolutely stunning! A must visit while staying in Montenegro!
Very beautiful cave temperature are very ❄ need inside to wear a jacket 🧥
It’s a beautiful place! You should definitely visit it. Only do not forget to bring some warm clothes. The temperature there is always between 10-12 degrees.
mind that the cave is open only in summer because of the high water levels. but dont hesitate to see if you are at Montenegro in summer! it really is like an other planet. amazing experience.
A nice, cool place to visit while in the area.
Truly a mesmerising experience. Even on a hot summer day, the temperature inside was 10c. The stalactites and stalagmites formed by the rain or snow is wonderful to see and be amazed of what nature is capable of.
Very nice cave, definitively worth a visit. Perfectly iluminated, great decoration with stalagmites, .... Visit takes 60 min. incl short drive with train from parking to entrance and back. Start of guided tour several times a day, check on web for exact times.
Maybe the best way to escape from the very hot outside temperature.
Visiting ONLY with tour. You have to be there 15.30 at least to go with last tour at 16.00! I would advise administration to prolong visiting hours until 18.30 at least and make small part available for solo visiting
The tour was very interesting and informative. Our guide took our attention for an whole one hour tour. There is strong winds and low temperatures in the cave - you should take care of warm clothes.Price is very good according to what you see there.
Very nice and interesting tour! I loved the guide, he was very friendly and communicating. Though keep in mind that there are certain hours of tours that you can enter the cave, but you can find all the info on their website.
Cave is lovely, trip takes approximately 50 minutes, the temperature is between 8-12 degrees celsius. Entrance and middle passage are extremely windy. (I went with a t-shirt, short pants and flip flops). Recommend shoes and a sweater for better experience, as .
It’s a good place to visit if you are staying in Cetinje. Just notice to bring your sweater and proper shoes :)
Lovely cave but very cold…Inside approximately 10’ maybe little less. The shock when you enter the cave is significant! Not recommend for small babies, or kids under 5y.Otherwise nice organization, English guide was also brilliant.
A really cool experience with a super funny guide. Unfortunately the train wasnt working (but did when we came back). I would recommend so take at least a sweatshirt with you (10 °C inside). Good tour !
It was great! Very cold inside, very hot outside! 😃 Anyway, this cave is very nice, you can travel with a small train, and you can walk in a very nice cave. It’s about 2-2.5 km long (but this is a very short part of the cave). Our guide was a very kind young woman, she speaks English as well, it was a really interesting tour. It’s must to visit if you’re in Montenegro.
Guide Milena is the best! Very interesting and fun!!Don’t forget your hoodie :it’s freezing
Cheap and well worth the visit if you are in the area, the tour guide was friendly, it has a cozy Disneyish train to the cave. The cave itself is pretty and has this strong and wonderful wind that’s in the middle of the cave that comes from nowhere that’s fun to experience.
Very hightly recommending to visit those caves. We had a great family time. Little train is collecting you from the waiting area and bringing you back after the tour. Temperature is around 10C, so its highly recommended to have warmer clothes and footwear. We had an amazing tour gide that entertained us all the way the walk. 😊
Impressive cave! Very cold so make sure you bring a warm jacket with you. It was fun and not expensive. Tour guide very informative and friendly.
Very interesting and beautiful cave and the guide was very fun and charismatic. The road train ride to the cave was also very fun with excellent views along the way
Just wow! Stunning caves, great train ride down to it and the guide she was fantastic.Highly recommend
The best part of our Montenegro trip the guide Danielle was fantastic take a light jacket for the cave trip
Interesting place to visit but after the cave tour there’s nothing there other than a cafe. Enjoyable visit though.
Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff were super friendly especially our guide Danielle. Even after several trips she is still guide us with smiling face throughout the trip. Its another world beneath earth. And the climate will be super chilling so better bring your jacket.
Really enjoyed our visit. Well worth the long drive up the mountains. Amazing views befire even going in. Our guide, David was brilliant, especially with our kids (age 6 and 9). The caves are phenomenal but he made them fun aswell as being very knowledgeable.
Definetely worth it! One of the best cave experience so far!
Thousands of years old cave with stalagmites and stalactites, cool columns. The entire cave complex isnt that big, but makes you feel like you walked down the throat of a dragon. I highly recommend a one-hour tour if youre in the area.
Fantastic tour of the Cave with a brilliant guide, Daniella. Very interesting to hear about all the Cave formations and history of how it was found and developed. Lovely cafe at the ticket centre and you even get to ride the train to the entrance and enjoy the fantastic views across the valley.
The cave is beautiful and wirth visting. Pay attention to the tour hours, since you can not enter by yourself. Furthermore, take worm cloths with you, the temperature is a steady 9 degrees.
Great team and nice travel in the age. Language: 🇷🇺 and 🇬🇧
Amazing place. Theres about 10°C so you shouldve wear a jacket.
I like this place, so cool cave 👍
Its quite impressive, length is about 1 hour, you dont see the cave lake nor the end of it. For those things you have to purchase 5 times more expensive ticket and go with helmets.
Interesting tour down the caves with a knowledgeable guide. You get a road train from the ticket office. As far as I am aware, you cant book the standard tour online and you just turn up 15 minutes before.
Definitely worth a visit, theyre huge, beautiful and amazing. For me, having a disabled daughter the staff were so patient, helpful and understanding, Ive been to other caves where weve been left behind as shes too slow, but they took her by the hand and led the way with her. Made the day so wonderful, thank you so much x
Nice quick tour for a change in scenery. It seemed a bit pricy at 10 euro per person but the tour guides are lovely and the caves are impressive so in the end we were happy we went. This also includes a “train” ride with a scenic view :)Don’t forget to bring an extra layer— as the cave is around 10– natural AC on max.
Worth of visiting if You want to experience something different in Montenegro. Big Cave, with option of "Adventure trip", which is recommended (app. 3hduring summer-it allows to explore much more with special equipment. Nice service, speaking English and Russian. Nice caffe in the center where the trip starts. You can enjoy nice view, coffee, snacks, drinks and beverages, kind and professional staff. But this diesel smoking little train ;)
It’s a wonderful place. It’s amazing what the nature can create! The guide David was very witty and friendly. It’s quite cold inside, so if you plan to visit, you need to take warm clothes with you.
A pretty nice place to go, well maintained and with your time if youre in the area and want to do something different. The cave network is pretty extensive, but one can only walk on a certain paved path. Not as extensive as other caverns within Europe, but still some pretty neat formations.
Very good and charismatic guide, had a great time here. The cave is REALLY cold, dont forget a jacket to put on, because theres icy wind blowing through some crevices :)
Very beautiful cave in the mountains east of Kotor. We had a very knowledgeable guide who spoke excellent English. Also a good chance to escape the summer heat if the area for an hour.
Pretty interesting place to visit if you want to see some amazing underground stalagmite and stalactite formations. You have to go down pretty deep (around 80 metersand it gets cold pretty fast so bring some warm clothing. The excursion costs around 10 euros and after that you have to ride the train to the location which was fun.Unfortunately my trip members were mostly speaking Russian, so the guide was explaining everything in Russian which I dont understand (but Im pretty sure theres English version availablealso theres some small lecterns around the cave that explain some parts in English. One thing that I didnt really like was obsession about the masks outside while riding the train - regardless if you are sitting alone in the cart. If you even partially remove your mask the train driver will start honking loudly and using sirens at you which makes people feel really uncomfortable. Come on man, its 40 degrees outside let people breathe and better yet - staff members themselves were not wearing any protection whatsoever while riding. In conclusion, this place is really interesting to visit if youre planning a trip to Montenegro, its pretty difficult to get to but definitely worth the extra effort. Also theres a nice cafe to get some refreshments before the trip.
Great experience - the cave is very spacious and varied. It is well lit and has nice concrete paths. Furthermore, our guide Ana gave a wonderful tour!Lastly, the waiting area has a great panorama view and a café.
Definitely worth a visit!Informative and interesting tour.Smart and funny guide, a very nice person. The cave is very beautiful, but you have to dress warmly, because the temperature is about 10 degrees Celsius. The entrance to the cave costs 10,9 euros.
Very interesting tour. Very informed. The guude was knowable, with fluent perfect english. The cave was beautiful, enchanted.very recommended place to visit!
