You can see everything from here, it is easy to find, the best time come here is sunset time, i came here in the afternoon and i went to other places first and back here on sunset time

Nice view of the city, requires a wee bit climbing. Popular place, hence crowded even on a weekday.Dont forget your water container as you are offered free drinking water in a beautiful fountain (you might have company drinking with you though as the photo indicates ^^).

Wonderful view of zurich. You can go to the top and there are giant chess boards which are pretty cool. Clean water to drink everywhere like the rest of Zurich!

A little park in the middle of Zurich that is completely free! Can get crowded but i can see why given the pretty views of the river and the city from up there.

Absolutely exceeded expectation. Its similar to Amsterdam in terms of river, but the houses and buildings have better variety and more styles. The weather can largely affect your experience here. Sun and clear view are critical. Just walk along the river from Zurich train station to the vast lake in the south, there are rewarding views around every corner. Just one thing to note, the food prices in city center are ridiculously high, comparing to other major European cities. Better to book hotel out of center and have dinner elsewhere. Dont worry about transportation, the train and bus are frequent and convenient. Its recommended to buy tickets with SBB app, but you can probably take public transport without tickets as well. No one checks ticket as far as I observed.

Lindenhof is an elevated park from which you get some views of Zurich. Its a relaxing place and a nice stop on a walking tour of the town centre.

It’s a normal view up there. Bern has a way better view.

Nice little park with beautiful views

This is probably the "best" photo spot / vantage point for Zurich, it overlooks the whole river and nearby church towers, perfect view for portrait shots!

Nice views from on top of a hill. Nice shaded park area. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if you are nearby, it’s worth waking up to the top for a few minutes.

Good place with a nice view of old City of Zürich and a proper European vibe, people are chilling playing the large chess(the one in which you can walk on the board )

You will almost see old town from the top. View is very good and within quite walkable distance from Central station.

Nice view over some part of Zurich

The path from Fraumunster parallel through the river until the small hill at night was very beautiful! This small park has a nice view to almost half of the city! Nice romantic place great for couples.

A place in the higher part of the city. You can see many parts of the city from this hill. However, I did not find the area very functional. There are a few benches and the floors are filled with pebbles.The floor can be greened and made more spacious.

Its a great place to spend time, because its free and has a childrens park, chess and incredible views. I went in summer and i really enjoyed being here.

A great place to visit. It is considered as milestone of Swiss identity. Inside you can admire a project of old city from wood. Also a great pictures (replicason walls that could tell the story of beginning of the Switzerland.

It’s nothing but garden on a hilly terrain in the middle of the Zurich city. Has lots of empty place and gives you a pleasurable view of the riverside and buildings. There is also place to play human chess with your friends or family.

Peaceful spot with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The steep cobbled Street up to the Lindenhof is charming and there is a great view of the Limmat river and Zurich below. Nice place for a picnic.

Decent place to see Zurich City. Good place to picnic also, with several benches and trees for shade. There is a community of elderly playing games and enjoying the company of one another.

I love this spot over the Limmat River, just high enough to have a great view of Zürich. It’s an easy clim in old downtown. It has benches and a fountain, some shade, great spot for a picnic

Beautiful view of the city. Nice and pleasant during the day. Went back on a Friday night to get some night pictures and it was full of people playing music and drinking, so not so relaxing but still beautiful.

Very nice and calm place. You can have a nice view of the city from up there. You can also play giant chess or have a nice walk with your family and friends. The view of the city is really breathtaking from up top. They also have a nice fountain from where you can drink water if thirsty.

It takes a mini-stair hike to this point, an absolute must if you are visiting Zurich or a localite. When you look around, there is a clear distinction between the regulars and the photo clickers. Impressive views of one half of the city centre, the churches, the flow of Limmat and the ETH campus. On the other end, chess games, picnic spots make this place a great option to unwind and relax.

Stumbled upon this area by accident, but what a wonderful surprise it was! Other than the scenic riverside view of the city, there were life-size chess boards and a swing set. Mix of locals walking their dogs and children as well as tourists. Good place to spend some time relaxing and having fun.

Lindenhof is a Roman fortress. On a hill in the middle of the city by the Limmat River, this fortress lies in the historic Old Town. located on good location which can see the city of Zurich all around both the view of the old city Or will it be a view of the Limmat River?

No words needed. It’s the most beautiful spot to see Zurich. I always bring people here the first time they visit Zurich. Perfect place to just chill, enjoy the view, talk, read book, observe the season, etc. There’s a lovely coffee shop in the stairs where you can just buy coffee and drink it here. It’s nicer now during pandemic coz this place is super touristy.

I really like it here. Its not far from the Center and easy to find.We went there in the afternoon. Its a great setting for the city and all the activities
