Lindbergh Neighborhood Park in Santee

Large open grass area with Tot Lot for the little ones. Plenty of large shade trees to sit under and enjoy the day. Saw some cement park benches along the walkway.

Great park. Very peaceful and family friendly. Me and my co workers like to utilize the large field for some catch. But the basketball courts are awesome as well.

Fun park for the kids to play

Nice area, quiet place, bathroom was dirty because of the homeless that come to clean themselves up. But dont know how to clean up after themselves.

I have been going to this park since I was a little kid. I grew up at this park back when they were all metal playgrounds and youd get third degree burn going down the slides. It was amazing.Now that I have a little one, I get to watch him enjoy the same park.With basketball courts, a large field, plenty of trees and usually a good amount of kids, my son always fun playing here.He just rode his bike without training wheels for the first time the other day...#Dadwin

Lots of grass area, has a playground & a restroom!

We love this park for so many reasons. One big reason, the grass is perfect for laying around :)

I frequent this park. Smooth paths for roller blading, nice couple courts for Bball, and some nice playground equipment for the kids. Great place for parties with lots of parking. Easy to find.

Lots of open space. My granddaughter loves to play here. My only concern is that oftwntimes there is random single person meandering about and that seems creepy.

Nice little park where I ate dinner with friends and family. Very clean and lots of trees for shade.

Playground: old but big with lots to do. The flooring is padding and sand, both were dirty. Good amount of shade from the mature trees. My toddler had fun.Bathrooms: old and dark, but clean with a changing table.Parking: easy but off a busy residential street.Location: Practically on the freeway, but in a safe residential area.Safety: Very few unhoused, lots of active people jogging. No broken glass or trash on the playground.

Good place too go with family. Public bathrooms( not great, soccer. Trees. Sometimes too many kids playing at the same time thou. No breathing room in the playground area. Very claustrophobic if you are covid sensitive. If you can handle that though, you are good!

Been visiting this park with kids and grandkids for 45 yrs. Parking can be a little tough on weekends with birthday parties and soccer games, but easy during the week 😎

I remember coming here as a kid. Now Im taking my own children. We just went there for my grandmas birthday and this park has everything you need. Very big field, basketball court, bathrooms, playground, lots of tables and tress with shade. I need to learn how to get a permit here to get a jumper for all the kids.

This is an okay park. Theres a big grassy area for playing games, doing an exercise class, or whatever. However, it is right by the freeway and is very noisy. The worst part of it is that the bathrooms are never clean properly, and are very dark. Really, I would give it two stars for the mess the bathrooms are always in but it is a pleasant place to spend some time other than that.

A lot smaller than expected. Play structure looked fun but did not use so not sure. We came to play on the grass and walk around with my 10month old. Had open grass areas but also had trash. Took a little bit to find a space I felt comfortable for my girl to crawl around on. Walking around took about 5-10min.

This park has a great playground for children and is in a good location with lots of room for the kids to run! The only issue I had was with the location was the parking. There is only street parking near the playground structure itself and the lot parking was very far from the playground structure.

Lovely neighborhood park. The grass and the trees are the highlight of this green space. There is plenty of room for stretching and picnicking and the grass is nicely green, tight and flat. The large trees create the perfect amounts of shade for sitting under and sharing with friends or other park loving neighbors.There is a public restroom, ample street parking and a kids playground. The basketball court is also popular for a game of pickup or Horse.You wont find much trash here either as it is well maintained and very clean. However if you do see something left behind by a stranger, be the hero of the earth and dispose of it in one of the many receptacles available for just that.

I decided to hang out their for a while for the piece and serenity that park offers in a somewhat congested residential neighborhood. It never hurts to get a breath of fresh air these days. I usually walk between five and ten miles a day but never take the time to sit and just enjoy my surroundings. I also needed time to just sit and think. Unfortunately both of my two sisters became terminally Ill this week and they both live in my hometown NY which is a complex situation to be there at this point in time. One of them is on life support and the other has terminal cancer. My dad is approaching 99 years old and basically I the last of the family. Id never stopped by this park before but it called me down, just enough for now anyway. Its tough when you have no one to talk to. I would talk to my dog but unfortunately she passed away about a year ago and its difficult for me to replace an animal that meant so much to me.

Fall has arrived. The park is beautiful, fallen leaves covering the ground.

It would be nice to have more lights in the park. Please help the people who go outside to get a fresh air by the trees, to feel safer in the neighborhood. Brighter lights in the park will improve visibility and prevent injuries. Also, people with pets!!!!! CLEAN UP YOUR DOG’S FECAL MATTER! It is people like you who help transfer various diseases because you were lazy and didn’t take care of the mess! IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. You decided to own a pet, then you are obligated to clean after it. Keep our parks clean!!!

Well because unlike most areas of california i can park in.my car and if i need to fall asleep i can do so feeling relatively safe. No.one is jumping out of windows to call the police who are only going to wake me up to hassle me because somebody called. And im greatful for that little bit of peace and understanding. Thank you to those people in that nieghborhood. I never get out of my car their that anyone can say i said or did anything wrong. If i do its to use a restroom close by if its open. I give people respect and only ask for that same mutual respect in return. These other home owners who are on a witch hunt to constantly call the police in an attempt to cause more harm towards the homeless community have a portion of their anger all wrong. First off ive never seen a state that seeks to profit off criminalizing homeless people. Taking a homeless persons vehicle from a senior citizen who has a handicap and is on dissability in the middle of the night, leaving them to sleep in a bush, so that they are forced into a catagory of being a homeless person who sleeps in a bush, just so the state of california can list their credentials forwarding a form to washington to get funds to house individuals like this up to one year from the united states government is not only suspect ,but it is an unsaid secret scam being pulled on the poor victim and the united states givernment by the state of california officials. A quick review of impound sheets and Homicide list sheets show a 70 percent and better average that over 70 percent of those listed on the homicide sheets ( back of the milk cartonsthese people fell victim to homicide just after losing their vehicle to the citys impound. This suggests conduct unbecoming of city officials ,as they know this! Because they pocket those fundings into their own pockets. Who is going to tell? Certainly not the dead people, i would advise anyone who reads this to contact the united states government internal affairs unit as this has become a thriving buisness for low life dead beat city officials and is to be considered a crime against humanity.

Mellow neighborhood park that isnt as overrun with homeless as some of the more urban area park in San Diego.

I live across the street from this park and every day there a large amount of people there doing fitness training, birthday parties, get togethers, group activities and animal socializing and more. I love how busy this park is and being across the street it brings a lot of life and energy. The park has vast open space, basketball court, picknick tables, grills and a play structure I love living here abd i love this park.

Even though the kids game area is close there is plenty of open grass field and basket ball courts. No homeless around very clean. My only complaint is the restrooms are closed during the pandemic which makes it a bit difficult when you have kids.

This is a great, big park. It has four basketball hoops and a great big childrens play area with slides and swings. It also has a large grass playing field for football and soccer games. It has a decent amount of parking which is never full. As a matter of fact I use to live across the street about 20 yrs ago and found it was a deliteful park then.

Very nice family park. There is a play structure for kids, swings, slides, sand pit. Their are also two basketball courts and a big field you could play soccer at. There is grills, tables and restrooms. You can get a permit through the city and have fun birthdays or celebrations here. Mostly visited by families.

Nice park. Sometimes sketchy people in the parking lots. It appears they live in their car.

We love this park. It was very clean and my kids love the basketball court and the playground. Theres also a ton of grass for them to run and play in. We sometimes bring our scooters for the sidewalk.

This is a nice park it has basketball courts and a playground for children and alot of open space to play soccer, badminton , volleyball , and most sporting events. Ive seen many birthday parties , BBQs , picnics , etc etc .....it has limited parking because the parking lot is kinda small. They have a restroom as well. This place gets lots of use.

This is a pretty little neighborhood park; a nice place to play with the kids, do yoga, or walk the dog. Whatever floats your boat. The problem with it is that the bathrooms are on the far end of the park from the parking lot so people with any difficulties walking, such as myself, have to suffer the long trek. Also, I have to wonder if they ever really clean the bathrooms. They need to go in there with a hose and hose everything down, including all the spider webs, and scrub the wet floor with a groom. I dont know if they even clean the toilets. It is hard to tell on the funky toilet seats that need to be replaced. San Diego is not doing a very good job, overall, of taking care of the restrooms in the public parks and this one is no exception. Also, This is right on the freeway and very noisy. It is and always Place JFKs really hang out, however. The trees are great.

"Google. Take me to the nearest park. Now!" This never failed. My nephews loved the park and had the best time. Safe park in a safe neighborhood. People here are friendly. Other kids here are well taught and respectful. Such a good experience to a new park. We will definitely explore more parks around.

My son was well entertained here on the slides, swing, sand and climbing structure. Stayed for a few hours! Bathroom is close by. Lots of picnic tables, large shade trees, best to street park because the parking lot is small and far to the right from the playground, lots of grass, couldnt scooter because there was bearly any pavement/walkways.

Lindbergh Neighborhood Park has a walking path that helps me add a half a mile to my walk. There are a lot of trees so theres a lot of shade. At 5:30 am its not hot and theres evidence that the sprinklers were on. Last year the sprinklers came on at 6 am so youd have to time your stroll to avoid the sprinklers crossing the walking path. This year they are using the sprinklers earlier like maybe 3 am so by 4 am they are all done. This is similar to what we do at home.

On this visit the mens restrooms werent up to par. Both needed to be cleaned and restocked. The outside grounds were well kept. The playground equipment seemed to be in good working order. There are a number of park benches and picnic tables as well as a few grills. Numerous shadetrees.

Great place for the whole family. Clean space for parties,playing football soccer or shooting hoops. The smaller children can enjoy the playground while parents work out or make a picnic

I like this park, its always pretty clean, its really diverse, the bathrooms are clean. Its a good little park with a basket ball court and plenty of space to play soccer or just lay under a tree and read a book. Down side, its right next to the freeway, but theres a gate lol.

Great local park. Kids area with swings, jungle gym, and slide. Basketball courts 2 full size courts on black top, or 4 half size courts depending on people playing. Large field, which on certain weekends people setup goals and play soccer (no permanent soccer goals at this location). Large men and womens public bathroom with two water fountains. Parking lot for about 20 cars and plenty of street parking. Many trees to lay under or read a book. Concrete walking trail around park for strolling or running.
