Lincoln's Pub - Gastropub in Council Bluffs, United States
The server was not very good, and 1 person had to wait for the pizza. While the other 4 people were done eating when he finally got the pizza. Probably will not come back..
We live an hour from CB and dont get to the city much, so when we do, my husband and I like to try a new place to eat. Found Lincolns Pub on Google and stopped in yesterday afternoon. Boy are we glad we did!! We started off with a couple beers and an order of cheese curds which were awesome 👌 Hubby had the tenderloin which was thin and crispy, I had the double bacon wygu smash burger which I can honestly say was one of the best burgers Ive ever had!!Since we dont eat out much in CB, we usually dont hit the same place twice but we are definitely going to be back to Lincolns Pub next time were in town
Went to the CB location. Nice venue food, burger and pizza, was very good. Happy Hour could last longer.
Good pizza, fairly quick service. Some of the sinks in the bathroom did not work though. Otherwise, great urban vibe
The bartenders were so nice! And one of the bartenders makes special drinks every day
Needless to say the wait stuff was lacking not enough staff to help the amount of people that came in. The food was burnt. The worst part is they knew that we were all coming in because we had reservations for homecoming night! The manager was nowhere in sight and the poor kids that were working tried doing the best with what they had.
Appears to be permanently closed. The hours have been scraped off the doors, the place is dark inside and its locked up tight. Employees at the Lincoln location had no knowledge of what was going on.
Love this new addition to Lincoln! Great food, service and atmosphere! Dawn also did a great job of taking care of us!
Food is top notch, the meatball sub is amazing. Pizzas are some of the best in the area
Food was delicious!Service was good.Prices are a bit on the higher side.
Miss Don took care of us tonight, first time here and she made us feel very welcomed! Seemed to know a lot of the different foods and gave us great tips about them. Love this place, if you want a good pizza or burger go for it!
The appetizers we had were amazing! Didn’t get pictures as the food was devoured before we could take any. Had the strawberry spiked lemonade and it was very good! The service was also amazing! Dawn our server was very awesome and friendly! She was the absolute best! Will definitely be going back!
Update: I removed a star for their service. Food/pizza is very good. Service not so much. We watched multiple peoples food, to include ours, sit on the counter for over 15/20 min while the staff did other things like clear tables, talk and smoke their vape. This was while it was not even busy. No follow ups for drink refills or really checking in at all. Hopefully they can improve their wait staff and logistics because the food and potential are there. Looks like no training occurrs and no one is in charge of shifts.Orginal: The time I went the food was good. I have had family say when they went after it initially opened that the food was not cooked right and the service was terrible. Since then it seems to have improved.
This place is pretty good. Definitely one of the better options in Council Bluffs. Weve been about 3 times. I recommend the sweet potato fries! My husband really likes their pizza. I got their spinach and artichoke dip once and the wood fired bread that comes with is was amazing! The chips were a little stale, but the bread was SO good!
This was the first time we visited Lincolns Pub. I Googled" Best hambergurs in Counsel Bluffs" and looked at the pictures. It came up in the top five and the food in the photos looked good. I read some of the previous reviews and they were all rated high. We were extremely impressed with the tast of the food. My husband got the bone out chicken wings. They were the tenderest chicken wings I have ever eaten. I never get chicken wings because they always seem to be over cooked. These pretty much melted in my mouth. And the wing sauce was perfect. I got the Goodfellows sandwich. All I can say to compare the taste is that it was like eating the best stake you have ever eaten. It was HUGE and and just, OMG DELICIOUS!!! I also got a side of fire oven cooked Brussel sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and topped with a little butter and parmessian cheese. Again DELICIOUS! I cant wait to go back to try the fire oven cooked pizzathere which also looked and smelled AMAZING!
Food was very good the service however was not. There were 4 tables occupied and 4 servers behind the bar, our food was dropped off and nobody checked to see if everything was OK we were both out of water since we had the spices chicken sandwich, we finally after 10 minutes of being done eating we caught her attention. We were going to order dessert but she dropped of the check and not once asked if we needed anything as she spent 20 minutes chatting with her friends that came in. I loved the food but will not be going back dye to the rude service.Becky
Outstanding service, our waiter Nick was top notch. The food was the fresh, flavorful and greatly portioned. I would highly recommend the staff, culture, food and environment. It’s not often we come to CB but we will be back. Also my mother in law lives here and really enjoyed the crown and 7’s.
My family and I have visited twice - both times were amazing!! This last time Haley was our waitress and provided excellent service!! Get the Cuban / it’s AMAZING!! Soo good - large portions!
Great staff! Great service! Incredible food! We had the best time thank you evening staff! Yall rock!
Oh!!! You have got to try the crab Rangoon pizza!!! Its simply amazing! And our waitress was beyond wonderful! We will be back!
Fantastic service, great food, and good vibes! The sandwich bread, the spike lemonades, the CARROT CAKE were all AMAZING.We will definitely be back again!
The atmosphere was great. Super cool building & the decor was neat. The pizza wasn’t as good as many of these reviews had stated. We asked for one pizza without green onions & we were not told until after the pizza arrived that they couldn’t do that and asked if it was “okay.” I felt we should’ve been told before the pizza was made. The service was alright, but it took awhile to get our check as our waitress was laughing with the other staff for a good 10 minutes at the end of the bar.
Ate brunch on Sunday for the first time, plenty of food! The staff never let our drinks remain empty including the bottomless mimosa for $15! And to top it off the customer service was outstanding from the time we entered to the time we sat down!
I was really excited to try this restaurant, but was very disappointed with our server. He was borderline rude and also quite forgetful. When he brought my mothers beer out, after having been asked twice, he had put the bottle inside the glass. Gross. If youve ever worked in a bar you know how dirty beer bottles are. When he brought out her coffee with cream, he didnt bring a spoon. We had to flag him down for that. When we asked for more water he refused to bring us ice, so I had to go to the bar and get some. It wasnt that he was busy, he was just chatting with the other staff. Being a good server is about more than just bringing out peoples food. The crab Rangoon pizza was delicious. The creme brulee was not really creme brulee. It was cold. It was more like cold vanilla pudding with a crust on top. The Thai pizza was ok, and the meatball pizza was pretty good. The buffalo chicken salad was also good, but definitely not the best Ive ever had.If we ever do go back to this restaurant, I certainly hope the service is better.
Great addition to Lincoln. In a cool area. Good upscale bar food. I had a pizza, everything is woodfired and seems to be made from scratch right there in the kitchen. Our server Dawn made several excellent recommendations.
The spinach artichoke dip and chips are out of this world. Best I ever had!Mikey’s meat balls were very flavorful and moist! The BALT sandwich is huge with awesome flatbread and flavor. Home mad potato chips = plus…Wagyu steak and for roasted vegetables were so juicy and tender and the steak was so big…Last but not least our waitress DAWN was spectacular, knows how to give great service and promotes the food without being pushy. Very attentive to our needs and refills without being overbearing! DAWN deserves Five stars!Ps Notorious bread pudding is Huge and tasty. Definitely have a big appetite and ready to be full!!!Will be going back for sure!!😀😀❤️❤️
This place is amazing and Brennan is the best server! He is SO fun and prompt, helpful, etc!! You can quickly get to Daq shack which is also amazing and other places. 10x recommend and if you have Brennan you are in the BEST care!!
Top 10% Omaha Reviewer. Follow me on here or Instagram @markthisplacedown for more reviews.WHAT I ORDEREDCheeseburger Sliders (wagyu beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, American cheese, onions, special sauceand a Blackberry Mule. The cheeseburger sliders were really just a cheeseburger cut into two halves, but it was pretty tasty. The patty was juicy and the bun was nice and fluffy. I’m a huge fan of wagyu so it was nice that their burgers use wagyu patties. The sliders also came with a side of nicely seasoned fries. This meal was only *$5(!).The Blackberry Mule was extremely flavorful and thirst clinching. I only paid $6 for this delicious creation.*Both items were on their Happy Hour menu so this was an extremely affordable deal/night out.MENUBoth the regular and happy hour menu is MASSIVE!There’s a good selection of traditional bar appetizers along with some of their original selections of calamari, wood fire roasted Brussels, and more. For main dishes they have a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and wood-fired pizza. They also have a few desserts to offer if you still have room for that after their hefty-sized main courses.Lincoln’s have a really nice selection of house cocktails, beers, and wine. For the full menu visit lincolnspubcb.comVISITING CONDITIONSI came here around 6:30pm on a Thursday night with a few friends. We elected to sit by the bar so we could have a good conversation with the bartenders. We were attended to right away and both the drinks and food come out relatively quickly.ESTABLISHMENTLincoln’s Pub is large and clean. The place is modern yet has an industrial era feel to it, especially by the bar. The bar is large with maybe 14 seats or so and a few TVs for your viewing convenience. They have nice tall exposed ceiling with sports flags hanging from them. There are plenty of regular seating here and most of them come with comfy cushioned lounge chairs. One aspect that really stood out to me was the bathrooms (weird I know). There are obviously separate bathrooms for Men and Women, but the washing space is communal right outside. This was pretty cool because you can basically wash your hands after a meal without having to potentially walk into a stinky or crowded bathroom.STAFFThe staff was nice and conversational, they had 3 bartenders working when we were there. They offered good insights on what was popular there.PRICINGSince we got there during Happy Hour (3-7pmthe prices were excellent! Drinks were between $3-7 and the food on the HH menu was $4-10. You can get a single topping 12” wood-fired pizza for $10 during HH.Their regular menu range from $9-23 which is medium priced but it looks like it’s definitely quality food. The drink menu range from $3-38 (for a top-tier bottle of wine).LOCATION157 W BroadwayCouncil Bluffs, IA 51503If you like wood-fired pizza or a larger selection of quality menu items you can definitely MARK THIS PLACE DOWN as a must try!
Great bar and amazing food! Safe GF pizza, celiac friendly. I couldn’t give 5 stars because sometimes they run out of cheese and we actually got a pizza with only Parmesan. It was still great, but unacceptable. Good vibes, great music and great cocktail menu.
The food here is pretty good in terms of taste, presentation, and portions. Staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is nice with it being inside an old building thats been repurposed. My only complaint is that the B.A.L.T. sandwich I ordered was extremely greasy. It tasted fine, but you could deep fry chicken with the amount of grease that came out of that sandwich. Not what I expected when I ordered what I thought would be a lighter sandwich for lunch.
I was really excited to check this place out but was disappointed with the food. Maybe we just ordered wrong but the spinach dip was laughable. It was runny, more like flavorless soup with large pieces of spinach. The bread that came with it though was really good, soft and hot. Also ordered the Philly cheesesteak pizza and the first bite I had to spit out. The meat on the pizza was so chewy and disgusting it completely ruined the great crust. What’s the point of a nice pizza oven if you’re going to top it with rotten meat. Good luck at this place if you go, maybe try the tenderloin sandwich.
Food is amazing!! Service could have been a little bit better tho! Steak burrito
The breakfast chimichanga is out of this world delicious. Favorite brunch spot.
I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Next time Im goin to try that pizza!
Really good food in a unique, restored historic building. Check out the giant pizza oven in the back! Definitely recommend!
The reviews on here have to be fake or bought. The food I received today is laughable. The chicken is a frozen patty that is fried and wasnt done crispy enough to eat. The entire sandwich was soaked in grease. Also there was a fly laying right on the top of my salad. Almost looks on purpose. I hadnt even opened the lid yet. The picture is what I ordered versus what I got. I threw it all away.
Their pizza was really good when I started going here a little over a year ago. Ive noticed in the last several months the crust getting thinner and toppings getting lighter. The last pizza i got was the margarita pizza, one of my favorites. This time the circles of mozzarella were paper thin and the crust was almost falling apart because it was so thin. There was so little food actuality there that entire large pizza could probably be eaten by one person.
Ok so went on a Wednesday eve. Ordered appetizers they came & waitress said she would be back with plates. Well nope didnt get plates. So consumed our apps & meal came. Looks delicious & was. Very inattentive wait staff as we could have used extra napkins , & refills of drinks. They could solve that by leaving us with a carafe of water I would refill my own. Pandemic should no longer be an excuse for poor service.Food was good but mind you I will vote with my money & return to places where I can get more than sub par service!
Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, delicious sandwiches and wood fired pizzas, house-made chips, and the pickled onions that topped the side salad were delicious! So many menu items AND they have gluten free menu items as well!!...just ask! Come as you are and enjoy a relaxing time! The B.A.L.T. Sandwich was out of this world and their house breaded onion rings and house-made chips were yummy! Very wide-range of menu items ....if you cant find something yummy on the menu....well, you just arent very hungry!
Sad sad performance. Meatball MARINARA sandwich was so terribly dry I had to go up and ask for marinara sauce to try to save this meal. Got handed ice cold marinara and walked off I spoke to the waitress and expressed that I wasn’t happy with how dry it was and that they gave me cold marinara sauce for my hot sandwich. She spoke to some manager who was apparently too busy on a Tuesday night with less then 1/4 full restaurant at 8 o’clock he said there was nothing they could do!!! Really nothing??? I refused to pay for my terrible food which I did not eat that he was going to make me pay full price. He did not come speak to a customer and get my feedback. I gladly paid for my girlfriends food which wasn’t great either but she did eat it. I will not be returning to this establishment any time soon and I strongly recommend going elsewhere if you want good food and even decent service. Seriously worst experience I’ve had in a long time! 👎👎👎👎👎
Great atmosphere. Cheese curds for appetizer was great, but the Chipotle Mayo dip is the perfect compliment. Had the Hawaiian and Three Meat pizza. Excellent. The sandwiches other tables had looked great as well. Will visit again to sample more of the menu.
Co-worker recommend this restaurant to me, and I decided to try it out. It was great! So great we ordered out again! The pizza is amazing, and we had the maple chipotle wings yum!!!
I ordered via Door Dash for delivery. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich had a raw pink center. I called to request a refund for the item. The employee had to hang up and contact the manager to see what could be done. Then the employee called me back to confirm a delivery address per the managers response. The employee could not hear me on this call and asked me to call him back, which I did after a few moments of frustration. The sandwich was made again and delivered about 30 minutes after the original delivery time. It was not served with new onion rings, any additional items, or coupon to possibly compensate for the inconvenience. The new sandwich still had a portion that was not completely done. If it wasnt for the possibility of foodborne illness, Id have eaten it all but a significant portion of the new one was thrown out. If you are considering ordering a chicken sandwich, Id double check that it is fully cooked before eating it.
Sunday brunch was disappointing. We saw a post about a pizza special & when we asked was told they did not have it. Pizza we did order was ok. Kind of mushy bottom crust. Server needs more training, only checked on us once until we were finished eating. Only 4 tables so we know she was not busy... Got the mushroom pizza
Great Staff, excellent Fire Cooked Pizza. I was with a group of about 20 to 30 ppl, I tried a slice from at least 4 of their pizzas, ALL were Amazing! I live in MN and still think about some of the food I had there lol. The group I was with were definitely respectful ppl but we did get loud at times during our "regrouping meeting" we held there and the crew could of been more stern with us but instead they were very welcoming and gave us great recommendations. If I am ever back that way I will be sure to stop at LINCOLNS for a great time and even better food! Very reasonable pricing as well ;-)PS -- If any one who works there reads this.. our group was the #YangGang crew who was there from 1/5 to 1/11 you guys were close to our HQ and the crew who worked that whole week really did make our time there feel welcoming.
Been awhile since I’d been to the 100 Block. Wow, don’t cheat yourself! Get to Lincoln’s Pub - the menu is chuck-full of home-made options from pasta to pizza and chips to cheese-curds.We had a full-table with separate checks and one of us changed our order 3(!times but Ganon was happy to accommodate our indecisiveness and even took our picture. The staff definitely help the fun atmosphere Lincoln’s Pub has created. We’ll be back!
Food and atmosphere were great, this place deserves more publicity; its like the best kept secret of Council Bluffs.
The Wagyu Beef Ribeye was amazing! The fat melts in your mouth like butter, best steak I have ever had! Beautiful restaurant as well! Love the touch of the butcher paper on the table, and all the other small things that bring an awesome charm to the place! Will definitely be back again!
Came mid-afternoon to enjoy a drink and some food with my mom and really enjoyed ourselves. We ordered the Meatball Sub with onion rings and the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail Stack. Before our food came out the waitress brought us an order of the Thai Chicken Egg Rolls that the kitchen had accidentally made. Everything was so good! Especially enjoyed the egg rolls and the Thai chili dipping sauce that they were served with! The shrimp cocktail stack was also quite tasty—the freshness made it really enjoyable. I drank a Rosemary Paloma and mom had a mule, both were good. The mule came in a mason jar, not a copper mug, which may be a dealbreaker for some, but not my mama. Will definitely come here again!
We were impressed with the service, drinks, and the food. Everything come out in reasonable time, the food was very delicious beyond anything we expected, especially the pot pie.
