If you are looking to impress a guest this is the place to go. Service is awesome and most servers are bilingual (Spanish and English), the presentation of the main dish is memorable. The food absolutely amazing.MUST TRY

We went to limoncello for our anniversary. They have a great wine cellar and dishes for two. They have ample parking in the museum district downtown.

This place is absolutely chic!However the prices are very accesibles, too good for the service and food quality.I have to come back again soon.

We stopped here on our first night in San Jose. The wait staff was welcoming and able to understand our broken Spanish (and help us in English). I have a gluten allergy and our server helped me find options on the menu. We ordered multiple courses and I found the pacing to be relaxed, but not slow. Perfect to savor the food and atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend Limoncello for great Italian style food in San José. Especially for those looking for gluten free options.

It was ok. The service and staff are very friendly and they have a wine cellar where you can choose or buy different types of vines. Really nice to go for dinner.

We were insanely tired and hungry the night we arrived in San José. Limoncello was right next to our AirB&B so we decided to try it. We were wonderfully greeted. Our server was Justin who was excellent and very attentive. The food was amazing! Justin had to leave toward the end of our dinner, but his colleagues picked up where he left off. It was my birthday. They helped us celebrate with a free dessert and liqueur. We are so grateful for them and we would love to eat there again.

Excellent food, reasonably priced

The Gluten free pasta was some of the best I’ve eaten anywhere. The sauces were outstandingly tasty. The pasta was cooked perfectly. And the focaccia... sooo good. It just complimented the entire meal perfectly. The staff and dining area were professional and friendly.

This restaurant is not messing around with their food. An unbelievable delight, true Italian in the heart of Costa Rica, their pizza is absolutely incredible.Overall the atmosphere, service and food made me feel like I was in Italy. We ordered the mushroom soup, mushroom risotto and margherita pizza with mojito mocktails. Beautiful flavor in each dish

Limoncello is spot on for food/price/service. They also have private dining rooms upstairs for meetings and such. The staff is extremely attentive and the food is delicious. They also offer gluten free options and will be very accommodating if you wish to change things about your meal.

Food is okay, nothing exceptional, what is remarkable is the Gluten Free offer, that is important to mention, prices are ok, perfect for a casual lunch

Weve been in Italy several times and yesterday we were pleased to have an authentic Italian dinner here. 5/5 stars without any doubt. Spaghetti with portobello funghi, risotto with shrimps - nothing to say but delicious. Go test it yourself.

Non tourist restaurant> My first dinner meal stop after checking into my San Jose Metro hotel is Limoncello Italiano @ Ave 1 y Calle 23/25. Number #10 out of 655 restaurants in TripAdvisor. Chef Leo is responsible for many of the very creative Italian menu items.

I really liked it. I had no expectations but food, service and the place is lovely. I would like to visit again to see if I can give it the 5th star. I just gave 4 because I was invited by the company so I was not paying attention to the price, so I am not able to analyze cost/food relation. Hope to visit it again soon.

We had a very nice time at Limoncello. They seated us in our own private room for two in a small cute room at the top of the stairs. It looked like there was at least one other couple with their own private room Unitarian, plus one room with a larger party.The Limoncello pizza was very good. We also had the gluten free spaghetti bolognese which did not disappoint.After dinner, the waiter brought us a glass of Limoncello and Amaretto on the house which was very nice. We asked what the best dessert was and the server suggested the chocolate volcano which was served with a pour of liquor lit on fire. Very decadent and good.Overall an affordable and delicious meal. If you are looking for Italian food in San Jose, this is the place.

The place is cosy and nice, service is great. They are very attentive your needs and additional order. Food is delicious. Desserts are heavenly. Definitely one of my favorite ever.

This is a gluten-free restaurant. If something has gluten, it is indicated. The food and the ambiance are wonderful. The gluten-free tiramisu is worth a trip to San Jose.

Good service, so so food. Too much lemoncello in my clam sauce made for a sweet sticky mussels and shrimp spaghetti. No amount of salt fixed it. My husband’s steak was good. Cesar salad was adecúate. Decor was ancient. I think this place had its hey day long ago.

This is always my 1st fine dining stop after San Jose hotel check in! I have been coming here past 7+ years with multiple visit per trip. Head Chef Leo has been inventing & preparing the most superb Italian cusine here for past 11+ years. If you want 1/2 the serving for 2x to 3x the price, go somewhere else! Thanks, El Chino Loco
