Limeburners Creek National Park - National park in Kempsey, Australia
Very beautiful. Trail was a bit confusing, some paths show up on a map yet can’t be found on foot. Went after it had rained and had to wade through a lot of puddles and got a lot of leeches as a result. Even those with boots and socks were bitten through the fabric.
Beautiful place, great waves and plenty of wildlife
Its stunning, I love it ! but be aware that without a 4WD you wont be able to see everything...
Great stop.
Truly a beautiful spot
Lovely lime burners creek national park.
Good surfing and diving
Relatively secluded Beach at Queens Head. Easily 4WD/AWD accessible at low tide. Needs beach driving permit.
So close but a whole world away
Great fun .
Be at one with nature in this beautiful place.
Limeburners is yet another example of Australias wonderful National Parks.Set on the southern side of Crescent Head it isnt accessible by any form of public transport, and the road in can get pretty rough. In fact locals have a campaign going to ensure the Council doesnt tar the road!Head in and stay at Melaleuca Camp ground for under $25/ night (2 people, off seasonand the Managers can also sell you a Park Pass which you WILL need!Lots of rainforest walks, such as Big Hill, with an abundance of wildlife.
Great place oyster farms
Absolutely stunning
Amazing spot. Very close to a glorious beach and locals were all very friendly
Popular camp areas very over crowded in peak season. 4wd track along coast worth driving.
Limeburners Creek National Park takes in North Shore beach, Queens Head, Point Plomer and up to Big Hill and to the west Limeburners Creek it was sand mind back in 70s with the introduction of bitou bush to stabilise the sand after mining which didnt turn out well as to spread all over the place. Point Plomer road which was gravelled for the sand mining operation has not been graded since then so it is in very condition 4x4 only
Nice and quite place to stay overnight. Would definitely comeback here one day
What a stunning place to enjoy the Great Outdoors. If this attraction was in any other country it would be completely overrun by tourists. As it stands, we didnt see another person for miles.
Had a ball. Fun drive up old plomer road. awsome atmosphere and reely good finishing 🙃
Great fun. Nice bush walk and camping. No facilities. Great for a swim and sometimes surf.
Track is non existent in places and requires bush bashing and is mosquito infested
Wonderful NSW coast.
Road is terrible
Been coming here for 20 years - Love the place. Surfing, camping. Good times
Typical National park camping ground.
Watch out for the track north - south next to the beach as it is not suitable for two wheel drive vehicles. It is quite rough with patches loose sand.
